We went here for the plate of nations. We didn't end up getting their special, which was sandwiches. My friend got some pies to take away and mini cheesecakes to take away. It's the perfect spot if you want to bring a special dessert to a house party or wow your own guest. They also have sandwiches and regular food. The server was really nice and she was also the baker. We had a great chat.

Peach cobbler cheesecake (i took a bite already SORRY)

i stopped by here for the first time after work and i am so glad i did! i think the owner's daughter was the one working at the counter but i asked for some recommendations and she was super helpful and sweet :) i ended up getting the peach cobbler cheesecake for $12.50 after tax, which is a bit pricey but now that i am eating it, i would say it's very worth it. also, i can't believe i've lived nearby my whole life and today was my first time coming ?!!! i will be returning to this neighborhood gem :-)

I loved they had almost every flavor in tart size which made it easier to try more flavors and not feel too guilty!

Sweet Bean Supreme (sweet) and Tropical (tangy, less sweet)

Rich, buttery crusts with delicious flavors. My fave so far is the Tropical pie because it has a tangy element and tastes less sweet. But the Sweet Bean is really good too! The "Medium" size is perfect for two to share. I LOVE desserts, but I can't eat a whole medium in one sitting.

Tarts! Sweet potato pie, pecan pie, sweet bean supreme, coconut chess, key lime chess.

I enjoy taste testing different flavors so I created a sampler of 5 different tarts. The pie crust is light and flakey. A well made crust is essential to great pies, and this really hit the mark. Sweet Potato pie - Absolutely delicious! This is by far my favorite. It has full-mouth flavor and is great for savoring! Pecan pie - Surprisingly delicious! Many pecan pies are usually too sweet, tacky and sticky for me. This was not too sweet and it didn't get stuck to my teeth. The pecans are well seasoned and the base is gelatinous. The crust was cooked a little more than the other pies. Sweet Bean Supreme pie - Mild flavor though seasoned well. This is definitely the best pick if you don't have a big sweet tooth. This one had a little thicker crust and I wished it had more filling, but maybe it was an anomaly. Coconut Chess pie - Very sweet and drier than the others. There are sugary coconut flakes on top and a sugary thick base beneath it. My partner tasted a hint of lemon. I have more of a preference for light and fluffy coconut creme, so this style just wasn't my cup of tea. Key Lime Chess pie - Dense and gelatinous, more sweet than tart, ocre colored. This was good, but I prefer a lighter style of key lime personally. I walked in to order takeout. The business is very cozy. There was a customer behind us so we didn't stay long, but I was pleased with the thoughtful presentation of the place, including the interior design, the display case, and the menu. The menu includes different sizes and flavors of pies, cakes, and drinks. Mr. Hart is cordial and a good communicator. The tarts are pricey ($3) for the portion, but I understand businesses are taking a hit during COVID and I've seen prices generally keep rising in the food industry. In comparison elsewhere you'd pay $2.50 for smaller sized macaron or even a chocolate chip cookie. The small size allows you to taste test and find out what you like. I will go back to try the other flavors and buy the better value medium-sized pies of my favorite flavors. I've read negative reviews about the pies being frozen. Unprompted, Mr. Hart recommended warming up the pie in the microwave for 10 seconds. They are easy to pop out of their foil cups without breaking. My microwave heating ranged from 10-20 seconds depending on the pie and they were definitely better warmed up.

They serve delicious local coffee and tea as well as local pastries (from both Macrina and some baked in house), as well as breakfast sandwiches, focaccia, and also vegan soft serve made with oat milk. The soft serve has rotating weekly flavors, and I was lucky to try to orange creamsicle, which was delicious swirled with classic vanilla. I even got some sprinkles with it! For coffee, they have all the classics as well as some seasonal specials with in-house made syrups. Everything we ordered was delicious that we actually ended up getting 2 lattes while we were there. Apart from the food and drinks, they also have a plethora of local artwork for sale, paintings displayed on the walls, glasswork and ceramics at the windows, and tie dyed shirts made by the owner himself, plus more. They also sell pokemon cards and run an actual Play! Pokemon league. It runs every Saturday from noon to 4 PM and is run by the owner himself. It's a great place for both newbies and kids trying to get into pokemon and seasoned veterans alike. You even get discounted coffee during the pokemon session! The owner himself is a very personable guy and is very knowledgeable all about his products, and is always happy to chat about coffee, art, or Pokemon. There's a clean maintained bathroom in the back of the cafe and self-pour water stations to make your stay enjoyable. They have wifi and comfy seating, outlets, and even couches, which makes it perfect for coworking or just hanging out. Catch me there every Saturday with my pokemon cards!

I noticed that they now pour drinks from a pre-made plastic jug instead of making them fresh like when the store first opened. I usually don't get sick from drinking coffee but twice in a row is pretty bad. Their drinks are also overly sweet and most of them do not have a 0% sweet option, which is usually what I order from other coffee and tea shops, and it's probably because most of the ingredients are pre-mixed. They also use thick plastic cups, considering that Seattle is a pretty green city and a lot of similar Vietnamese coffee shops use sustainable cups. Sad to say, but my time visiting this chain has come to an end.

The space is nice and clean, with a section of cute giftable items that were very tempting. My coffee was delicious. Not overly sweet which I was relieved about because I normally do half sweet but I forgot to request that. Still was yum & not too sugary! It was perfect with oat milk. 1 star off because as others have mentioned, customer service could be better. The barista taking my order seemed a little impatient or bored (Gen Z vibes). The cashier was nice at least! It's also unclear where people should line up/order. The person in front of me was confused and the person behind me was as well. They let me know that the London fog comes as a concentrate and offered to use slightly less concentrate so that it wouldn't be too sweet with the additional syrup. I was a little skeptical of the fact that they make it from a concentrate because. I feel like a London fog is hard to mess up if you know how to brew tea, but I decided to try it anyway, and I was pleasantly surprised. While it didn't have a strong earl grey flavor, the drink was delicious and still tasted like a London fog and the lavender pear syrup was lovely. The mussels tasted a little fishy to me, but the baked bread was honestly my favorite part of the dish. It was airy, warm, and a decent size. Simple, but so good, especially dipped into the leftover garlic butter sauce from the mussels. Clam Bake Pizza -- whole roasted Hood Canal clams, pancetta, mozzarella, garlic, onion, chili flakes, parsley, and grana on a house-made white clam sauce base. Unfortunately, I didn't have the same great experience with this flavor as everyone else seems to. The clams didn't seem cleaned very well. I had two slices, and both had either shell fragments or sand in them, which created an unpleasant crunchy texture. It was also a bit too salty for my taste and felt slightly overpriced. That said, the crust itself was amazing. Spring Lamb Pizza -- lamb sausage, mozzarella, goat cheese, roasted red peppers, red onion, chili flakes, and fresh mint on a basil-mint salsa verde base. This one had great texture and flavor overall, though I wish there had been a little more sausage. I especially loved the fresh mint. Once again, the crust was phenomenal. The servers were friendly and very attentive. There's also a good amount of street parking, and the whole place has the cozy feel of a neighborhood pizza shop.
