We had a great experience and great food at N17 The Lane! I see some recent complaints regarding…read moreservice during the World Cup. It's clear they've put intentional effort into improving this week, as service was a highlight for us. Our waiter, Sunny, was so polite, quick, and communicative. He had a lot of tables to cover, as it was a packed and chaotic room during the Mexico vs. Ecuador game last night. The N17 burger and fries (both the regular shoe string fries and sweet potato fries) were fantastic! Both were cooked just right, very flavorful, and the fries were nice and crispy. The atmosphere and design of the restaurant in front isn't your typical "sports bar" - it feels more like a cute, sunny brunch restaurant with high-quality screens for sports viewing - but the clientele feels just like any other sports bar would :) It was very lively and fun to watch with others last night. For the World Cup, they've opened up their event space in the back which is not set up like a typical restaurant - but it was great for viewing! The screens are HUGE and very high-quality.

Listen, I understand being busy is one thing but blatantly ignoring paying customers that have been sitting and waiting to be served for 20-30 minutes after only ordering two drinks is strange to me. And then to come back and ask if we wanted to remove the items we already ordered without us having to bring it up just lets me know that you remembered all this time but chose not to serve us until someone had to go ask to be served AGAIN. Even other venues that are 5x bigger than this one have better customer service/attentiveness. We also ordered the bottomless mimosas and only got through 2 bottles because it took them 20 minutes to bring out the first one and another 15 to bring out the second one when it was asked for. And on top of that, they act like they're doing YOU a favor by bringing out the food & drinks that YOU paid for. I have never written a negative review before but this experience was awful; just a waste of money &, what should have been, a good time.

High-Quality Comfort Food & Top-Notch Service~ I recently…read morevisited Dinah's for the very first time to meet up with my cousin, two aunts, and her new baby. This location was the perfect halfway point for all of us. We arrived bright and early around 9:30 AM on a Wednesday. I had called ahead to reserve a booth, my absolute favorite kind of seating. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly hostess and immediately seated. Our server (I unfortunately forgot his name!) was fantastic. He brought out fresh coffee right away, took our breakfast orders, and was extremely kind, polite, and attentive throughout our entire meal. The menu has plenty of options, ranging from scratch-made omelettes and burritos to salads and a dedicated kids' menu. The Breakfast Plate Specials ($12-$14) Both my cousin and aunts ordered this. It came loaded with pancakes, hashbrowns, sausage, and toast--an absolute steal for the price~ Turkey Club Sandwich & Fries: I was in the mood for lunch, so I opted for the club. The fries were hot and perfectly crispy. The sandwich itself was wonderful, packed with turkey, bacon, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. My only tiny critique is that I wish it came with mayo (I'm a huge mayo fan!). However, I ordered a side of ranch which paired perfectly and really elevated the sandwich. The vibe here is incredibly laid-back, welcoming, and brightly lit. Everything--including the restrooms--was sparkling clean. They had TVs playing a local soccer game and a nice bar area where it looks like they serve up a great selection of beer and wine for happy hour. I didn't grab an alcoholic drink this time, but I already have my eye on a cranberry mimosa for my next visit! Before you leave, make sure to check out the front counter--they have a massive display of freshly baked cookies, pies, and other goodies~ For the price, the food is absolutely worth it and the service is top-notch. Thank you so much, Dinah's Comfort Kitchen--we will definitely be back when we're in the area again!

She offered to remake the order for me, I let her know I would be open to trying something different. I was offered the chicken and waffles. The chicken was fresh and well seasoned. The waffle was also fresh, buttery, and really good. Great portion size, no way I could finish this all in one sitting. I went in to pickup the order and the location is beautiful. I love the outdoor patio area and the classic diner decor. I cannot wait to go back.

HP hasn't forgotten how to provide outstanding food and service. It is still top notch here! We really enjoyed the outdoor patio space too! It was clean and a very refreshing space to dine in. I would absolutely come back and pair my burger with a side of tots on the next visit. Next time you have a burger craving...ditch that drive thru BS and get at the Humble Potato. Not sure what happened, but the last couple of times we have been here, this place was partnering with another pop-up joint offering "Pan-Asian soul food." In my opinion, this has been the downfall of this place. We came here two nights ago and it's a weird situation because they are basically offering you options from two separate menus. Knowing what I like, I ordered the spicy Obaasan sandwich. Boyfriend, however, opted to venture into the space of the neighboring restaurant and ordered the chicken and rice something or such. It turned out to be the blandest most flavorless dish ever, even though it was served with three tiny plastic cups of accompanying sauces. The chicken literally looked like boiled chicken and was completely devoid of flavor or seasoning. Also, service was unbelievably slow. Pleasant when she finally showed up, but painfully slow. We used to like The Humble Potato but we absolutely do not like this partnership they have with this brand and will probably not come back.

Went early to see if anything opened or if walk-in would be faster, surprisingly they actually had something come available sooner. We opted to sit inside and loved the ambiance. Food - amazing! I read reviews first and watched a couple IG videos so I knew a general idea of what we wanted to order. Glad the server suggested the orange chicken over the walnut shrimp when we were debating it. Chil wontons, absolutely a must get, different from DTF, not crazy spicy but full of flavor and richness. XO fatty noodles, perfect chewiness on the rolled noodles and the flavors were well balanced, we enjoyed them with a little chili paste and the orange chicken as the protein. Orange chicken, soooo much more flavorful than your average Panda Express orange chicken, good sized nuggets of chicken that were crispy and tender at the same time, and the zest livened it up. BBQ pork shank, our server did warn us it's not the easiest to eat, but it's worth it, hard to see cutting it off the bone because it was so dimly lite in the restaurant and your hands will get sticky but once you get chunks off the bone and your bao bun built it's delicious especially when you get the lacquered crispy skin yummm! Only skip for the night was the mango sticky rice. Much rather would've spend $8 on something else. The mango was tart/sour. The sticky rice was too wet and mushy. It was a pass for both of us. Service - our server was awesome. From greeting to end, he was the right amount of attentive and was super helpful with suggestions. Everyone from the food runner to the busser, they were all so nice. From getting us chili paste or to go containers, customer service was on point. Parking - love love that are a few parking spaces right out front. They're metered. But after 8pm it was free so perfect for us. Other than those spaces, there's a lot across the street if you want to risk it or also side streets parking too.

Ambiance is stylish and dim inside, and it started to get quite loud inside. Service was attentive throughout our meal. What we tried: - Beef roll ($22) - with scallion pancake wrapped around wagyu beef, chili mayo, served with a side of beef broth. I loved this one, every bite was a burst of flavors and textures and the combination was so tasty! - Squid ink Xiao long bao ($18) - shrimp and pork dumplings, these were good but pretty standard compared to other XLB I've had - 3 cup chicken ($21) - made with garlic, ginger, green onion, Thai basil, dried chili. The chicken was so tender and the dish super garlicky which I loved. Goes well with rice, but is a bit on the salty side - XO fatty noodles ($20) - rolled chow fun with bean sprouts, garlic chives, and XO sauce. Amazingly garlicky and savory, and I just love the texture of the rolled chow fun Definitely a solid neighborhood spot I find myself coming back to! Metered or neighborhood parking.

We got two burritos, took a few bites, looked at each other in disgust, then threw them out. I've never been more disappointed in a burrito... this is LA, where you can throw a rock and hit a great burrito - whether it's from a stand, cart, truck, hole in the wall, or nice restaurant. The steak was gristly a greasy - so much so that the burritos had grease pools inside and were slick with grease on the outside. Grease was the only flavor - the steak was inedibly gross. That's not. No redeeming qualities. Bummer. Also it was very expensive - actually a few dollars more per burrito than what they had listed online - but whatever it's Westside LA in 2026. Go to Senor G's or literally anywhere else.
