    Chefs Avocado Toast

We were passing by when we're on the way to one we always go for breakfast early this week. After reading the reviews and their menu, we thought we could find another place for our breakfast. Foods look good however the flavors were not our favorites, same for coffee. We were only people there but waiting more than expected. The chef's avocado toast was served cold and too much oily. We were sitting at tables in front deck where too close to the traffic and chairs were too low for the table. They do have back deck where should be quiet. Anyway we tried but wouldn't be back.

Their salsa With the complimentary chips is awesome! The customer service is very amicable. The food is definitely fresh, well made and tasty. There are only 5 small tables in the room. Two outside tables out in the front. It appears that there is a back room.... However, I am not sure. The Playa Del Rey fresh made juice was DELICIOUS!!! It was orange, carrot, passion fruit and ginger.... Sooooo GOOD! We ordered one for us three to share and it was the perfect amount for each of us.

This place was really really authentic. Even the aesthetic gave classic Mexican vibes. All the workers were very hospitable and friendly. I even struck a nice conversation with the owner's wife. Shout out to her! The food tasted like mom cooking. Definitely give them a shot!

A fantastic local spot with a warm, inviting ambiance and excellent service. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable - and made sure we always had enough water, chips, and salsa! And we really needed it since we just finished a run! Portions are generous, and the food is fresh, high-quality, and flavorful without feeling heavy. I also really appreciated the well-thought-out vegetarian options that don't feel like an afterthought. Definitely a place worth coming back to.

Yes yes and yes! This place hit the spot. Every single item we had was made fresh, packed with tons of flavor. It was obvious the workers cared about their craft and the service they provided. They were extremely attentive to customer's needs all the while making them feel right at home. Truly a wonderful experience! For seating they had an outdoor front patio, inside, and the back patio. It was enormous, but it was perfect for a party of 4. I highly recommend try this place, we all wished we lived closer!

Wow! I'm so glad that I tried this place. It was so much better than I expected. I think it was the owner that helped us, but he was very friendly and was joking around with us. We were greeted and seated immediately. When the food came out, I was very impressed with the presentation and the size of the meals. My cousin only ordered a caramel iced coffee drink, and she said it was delicious. And the coffee was strong. We ordered the kids pancakes with sausage. We ordered a shrimp burrito, grilled fresh tacos, chilaquiles with mole , and they brought the table chips and salsa before bringing out any of the food while we waited. The chips and salsa we're pretty good so we already knew that. The food was gonna taste good, and it did! I tried a little bit of everything, and it was all very delicious and filling. I will definitely be coming back here more often. It is affordable for being so close to the beach and such a nice location. We were lucky enough to find parking right in front and on the side.

Good service. Everyone here is friendly and personable. I can see why they received many accolades and awards. You can taste the quality in the food, no matter what you get. It's fresh and organic. Parking wasn't an issue which was a pleasant surprise. I did not have pay for parking and it didn't take forever to find a spot on the street. I notice a few lots that had available spots as well. Being a short walk to the beach, this place has beach city vibes. Good spot.

My girlfriend and I love this place--we come here often and it never disappoints. On our most recent visit, she got the taco platter with a salad, and I had the Azteca burrito with carne asada and shrimp. That burrito was bomb as hell--loaded with flavor and cooked just right. The complimentary chips and salsa are also a highlight. That salsa? Soooo good--easily one of the best we've had anywhere.

April 1, 5 & May 20, 2025 | Playa del Rey: On April Fools Day, I wanted to try someplace new to eat! TC Organic caught my eye via Yelp! Once inside, I was introduced to a colorful world, with stylish plates & flavorful meals, which satisfied my every bite and keeps me coming back for more! Breakfast Burrito | Shared(the 1st time!): One of my favorite items on the menu, both delicious and hearty! Flavorful with each bite: flour tortilla, eggs, beans, rice, & pico de gallo with a side of fries, yum! I love that there is an option for me; soyrizo as my protein! Fresh Fruit Juice | Vampiro: Mouthwatering drinks! Yum!! A delicious blend of Beets, Carrots, Orange Juice & Lemon! Love at first sip! It's a rush of delicious flavors & my absolute favorite drink here! It's an absolute must-have with every visit! French Toast | Shared(the 1st time!) : Delicious, fluffy, sliced & plentiful, along with colorful fruit gracing the plate; making the dish even more flavorful! Back Patio: Wildly colorful & playful murals cover the walls along with mixed table heights & fun eye-catching items that decorate the outside patio! You can't help but smile while looking around!! There is also a front patio with a few seats! Fun note: An amazing artist who created the fantastic murals also created the eye-catching tattoos adorned by both owners! Overall: Flavorful dishes, mouthwatering drinks, & an inviting atmosphere..yes, please! Let's go!

    Breakfast

This is one of the most welcoming restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of eating at. The staff are incredibly friendly and always make you feel like family. The food is incredible and I can't recommend the breakfast bowl enough. For lunch or dinner the tempura shrimp burrito is a unique fusion dish that's not too heavy, but quite filling and so delicious. It's clean and bright and always has a good atmosphere with music that my son loves to dance to. For anyone visiting LA, it's right near LAX and in walking distance to the beach. I would give it six stars if I could.

Friendly service and delicious food that feels warm, comforting, and nourishing. Tried this restaurant for the first time today and ordered the breakfast bowl with asada and avocado. The seasoning and flavor of beef really shines in their recipe. I eat a lot of Mexican food and notice that Asada is overly salted and dry but not here! Love to support local quality places, glad I found a new one today.

    Birria tacos

This place lives up to the reviews. The staff was unbelievably friendly and attentive and the food was excellent! The birria tacos were unreal. Sit in the back patio- it's so pretty and comfortable. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in town.

Such a cute, authentic restaurant! Top notch in food, service and atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

Horchata Latte, awesome side salad, eggs, asada burrito.

Is the food organic? Are all the products they serve in Organic? Or only certain ingredients or items in Organic?…

The food is not organic. I personally saw a shipment come in with all kinds of produce including berries etc and none of it was organic.

Not ready to give up on our tortilla mission, I remembered that Hacienda del Rey also serves homemade tortillas. It had been years since my last visit, so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived around 12:30 p.m., the restaurant was surprisingly quiet. The empty dining room raised a few red flags, especially since I remembered this place being much busier during lunchtime. Still, we were decided to give it a shot. Service started off a little standoffish, but things warmed up as our visit went on. The waitress confirmed they had homemade tortillas, and we ordered a basket of flour tortillas along with a 3 lunch specials. The tortillas warmed on the griddle (not made on the spot) and they were yummy. Between the three of us, we sampled quite a variety: chile relleno with rice and beans, chile relleno with a tamale, and a tamale paired with a cheese enchilada. I'll admit I was a little hesitant since it had been years since my last visit, but the food quickly put those doubts to rest. Everything was flavorful, served hot, and arrived remarkably fast. Of course, no birthday lunch is complete without margaritas. We ordered three, and while they were not very strong, they were enjoyable for an afternoon celebration. As the meal progressed, the service became noticeably warmer, and after learning it was my friend's birthday, the staff surprised us with a complimentary flan. While the restaurant was much quieter than I remembered, the food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the birthday surprise added a thoughtful touch. For three people, our bill came to about $100, including three margaritas, three entrées, the tortillas, and dessert. Hacienda del Rey may not have been our original destination, but it ended up being a pleasant birthday detour. If you're in the mood for homemade tortillas and comforting Mexican food, it's worth a visit.

It is pretty good and the portion size is about right for the price. (With some of the other items here, you don't get enough versus what you pay. My sweetheart got her old favorite Chilaquiles en salsa verde ($18) which is corn tortillas lightly fried, salsa verde, eggs, crema, queso Fresca, pickled red onion, cilantro & black beans and she loved it as usual. I am giving Cinco 3 stars because they have significant items that are just average and other menu items that are very stingy for the price. I had a dining credit to use from my stay at Hotel June, so I figured I'd get a breakfast sandwich for breakfast, and then order a breakfast burrito to take with me for lunch on the plane ride home (and use any remaining credit for muffins or whatever). I got the breakfast sandwich to go, and when I got back up to my room to eat it, it was a greasy disaster. "CALI BREAKFAST SANDWICH brioche bun, scrambled eggs, applewood pork bacon, cheese, tomato, smashed avocado $17" (plus tax and wellness charge, of course) It was so greasy - literally, did they dunk the outside of the bun in butter? There was *one* slice of bacon. It came with roasted peppers and potatoes, which for me is a problem as I can't eat bell peppers. If I had known, I would've asked for anything else on the side. I had two bites of the sandwich and gave up - it made me feel so queasy. :( Once I was packed up and ready to check out, I went back to the restaurant to use the rest of the credit. Unfortunately, I felt so sick to my stomach from the two bites of the sandwich. I actually brought it down with me to "send it back", and to be fair, the manager was working at that time and apologized profusely for the trouble. She offered to replace it with anything, but I just didn't want to chance anything else on my queasy stomach. I did end up using the rest of my credit up for muffins to go, and we decided a fruit bowl might be a good idea. I ordered that to go and checked out of the hotel. Honestly, the fruit bowl is what saved this from a one star review. I appreciated that it was a good variety and quantity of fruit, including some papaya and jackfruit (I think?) and dragonfruit. I enjoyed this on my flight back.
