My husband and I went shopping for two vehicles. One for me and one for my daughter. Jaffar was our salesman and we couldn't have been more pleased. He wasn't pushy and he was knowledgeable as well as helpful about what we wanted. Shawn, the sales manager worked with us and helped get the best deal especially since we got two vehicles. He also made us feel as though he appreciated our purchases. HOWEVER, once we got to the finance department our experience was definitely not the best. Kene was our finance manager. HE was polite and everything went well UNTIL we declined the added warranty's and GAP. I bet he asked us over 15 times to rethink our decision. After we continued to say no the conversation friendliness ceased. Once the deal was done he shook our hands without saying much and followed us out in silence. I asked my husband if he was mad and he responded with yes I get that feeling as well. Other than that Baker would have gotten 5 stars. I had an appointment with Shaun Hazely. I met with him around 8:00am and didn't speak to him again till 10:30am. He would walk by occasionally, ignoring me in the process. I had to get an update myself from two different team members after I sat there for over 2 hours. After he finally gave me a quote, I left. I called him later and he said he was gathering my paperwork but when I returned, I had to wait again because my paperwork wasn't ready. To complete his incompetence and unprofessionalism, after I paid, he left without a handshake or "thank you your business". But what I did notice, he was very helpful with the female customers. He even stayed and conversed with one woman the entire time she was there. As another woman was leaving, he went out of his way to say goodbye. I brought my 2010 Nissan Altima to be serviced because I had notification lights showing on my dashboard. Shaun Hazeley in service was amazing with assisting me with this issue and more! They were able to find out the problem which was covered under my warranty and he was able to provide me with other future issues I could run into if I did not maintain other red flags they found during the inspection. I was extremely happy with the customer service and communication. Shaun was able to provide me with a rental for the day while they did the inspection. Purchased our last Nissan in 2015 from here and stepped into this dealership for the last time a week ago.......we only brought our pathfinder in for service here.......Got a diagnostic test done and did the recommended repairs About a year or so, the repairs that was done never completely resolved the issue but it only happened on occasion and I didn't want to spend another $1500 so we let it go (a huge mistake on our part) brought it in for an oil change 3-4 months ago no issues mentioned, brought it in about 2 months ago for a supposed diagnostic test because the fan motor went out and again last week as time for another oil change so I brought it in and to requested they check the issue again because it started happening in a daily basis, paid for another diagnostic test and the estimate came back for $13,000!!!!! Are you kidding me......that was the last day we stepped foot in baker Nissan. I'm writing this review in hopes it makes others aware that it might be a good thing to consider your oil changes here are about $200 because what I got out of this estimate is that every time I bring my car here I should also pay to have a complete diagnostic test to check every single thing to make sure nothing is wrong with my car before the issue is listed as a fail state. I hope if you are reading this you have a much more positive experience than I did on my last and final visit here. read more

Since 2008, I've been a Baker Nissan customer. It was my first car, and I've been getting it serviced there ever since. I've always been treated so well in the service department and loved my Nissan Versa, so it was a no brainer to buy another Nissan! From my experience yesterday in the sales department, I will no longer buy or recommend Nissan for as long as I live. When I pulled up to the sales department, I was up front with the salesperson. I told him I was purely looking today and was interested in the 2017 Nissan Versa SL sedan in black on black. I told him I was a loyal customer to this dealership, as was my mom and dad. He took us to the lot (without keys) to search for the car, and after not being able to find it in the freezing cold, he said "let's go inside and I'll search the database and grab the keys." Why he didn't do this in the first place, I have no idea... so he found the keys, took us back out to the same place, and he showed us the car which was wedged in between four cars on each side. After struggling to get in the car, he wasn't able to tell us much about the car, didn't offer for me to test drive it, didn't ask if I even liked it! Then he escorted us back inside, where he proceeded to try to sell me this car, which by the way wasn't even the right car, I later found out! It was a 2016 instead of 2017... They didn't even have the car I wanted. The sales process was horrible, and it was something I didn't even want to go through because I was only looking! I had other dealerships to get to, and he just wasted my time. Plus the offer they gave me was appalling! An offer on a car that was not the right car... on a car they didn't even have in stock... They must have thought I was extremely stupid or gullible with the offer they gave me. After telling him how insulted I was, he went to go "talk to his manager" to see if he could get the price down... further wasting my time! The manager was even worse. When she came over, it was then that I found out they were trying to make a deal on the 2016 instead of 2017. I was REELING. Just terrible customer service all around. I was visibly upset, and she was still trying to get me to buy this car, and absolutely nobody was listening to what I want. I told them that this was the wrong car, and they didn't even bother to offer to show me the right car, so I got up to leave, and they were still trying to strike a deal with me on the same WRONG CAR. I told them up front that I was no longer going to consider Nissan, and another car brand will now be getting my business. I'm amazed that this dealership is still in business. The service department must be keeping you guys alive because I've never been wronged by them. The treatment of loyal customers is despicable. How do you guys get new business? Stay away from this dealer for any used car deals! His price was competitive than other dealers around, they said it was fully inspected by their mechanic before listing in inventory. There was absolutely no mention of any known issues, very next day engine started making noise and oil leakage under the hood and there were few other minor issues under the hood as well. The manager and the salesperson were so rude, not even willing to send it to the mechanic for a second thought. Dont trust this dealer, take your mechanic with you or just stay away from this place and save your hard earned money. First of all, let me start by saying I had no problem with our salesman, Dami Adelaja. Dami was outstanding and I truly wish our experience with his manager has been different, because I would have loved to have done business with him. If you use this dealer, please consider asking for Dami as your salesperson because he is very accommodating and knowledgeable, not pushy in any way. Dami is not the reason I will never do business with Baker Nissan, his manager is. We decided we wanted to purchase a 2015 Nissan Rogue SV with the premium package, and we were price shopping online when we found that Baker Nissan was offering the exact vehicle we wanted for $3k less than Mossy Nissan. So of course we went on down. We show up, test drive the vehicle, decide we want to talk about prices and Dami's manager shows up. I do not remember his name (which I know is not helpful at all), so lets call him Chad. Chad shows up and asks us if we want to buy the car today. We tell him we are pressed for time and that we have a work commitment at 5 so we could not leave with a car today, but that we wanted to purchase the vehicle the next business day, which would have been Monday. We did want to talk prices. Next thing we know, the "internet price" is not the actual price of the car. The car would cost us MORE than we were quoted at Mossy Nissan. Apparently internet price doesn't take into considerations the additions the dealer has ALREADY MADE to the car, such as window tinting and wheel locks. So we told Chad we would not purchase the car unless they could give us the price quoted on the internet. After telling us we should consider buying a cheaper car because we couldn't afford the one we wanted, and that we should be worried about the monthly payments, not the final price of the car, he finally got us close enough to the internet price for us to be interested. We asked if we could take the quoted price so that we would have proof when we came back, and he threw a fit telling us we couldn't take it because another dealer would beat the price, finally letting us take a picture of the document. We were already livid about his assumptions on our financial position as well as his unsolicited financial advice, but this pushed us over the edge. He went on to say if another dealer beat it by a couple hundred dollars to come back because he could beat that. We instantly knew we were getting screwed over, that he wasn't trying to get us a good deal at all and he definitely had more wiggle room (which he denied minutes before). TL;DR: Be careful with this dealer. The manager I worked with was pushy and made insulting assumptions about my financial position. They were not concerned with getting us a deal at all, only how much money they could get out of us. Buyer beware. EDIT 8/18/15 - Clay was the name of the manager. He called and spoke with me about our visit to the dealer, and I was frank in stating that he offended us and that we purchased the car elsewhere. I have a 2014 Nissan Versa note. I went in because there was a rubbing/grinding noise coming from my front wheel area when you turned. And I also wanted to get my recall taken care of. I worked with a guy named Rick, he was pleasant and very helpful. I came in to drop off my car, Rick took care of the paperwork quickly, and got me into a rental car and on my way. He called within three or four hours to let me know they found the problem, it was a bad wheel berring. And it was fixed within the next two hours. Luckily, the repair was under warranty, so I didn't pay a penny, but I will say that the service was good! Everyone was appropriately friendly and helpful, and the repair was done in a timely manner. I received a call this morning from a Hailey . She explained she had my application and that i was approved for no down payment and for a vehicle up to 20k . I was at the bank at the time so I wasn't sure I heard her correctly but said ok asked was she sure it was my application since I was aware of my not so steller Credit score she chuckled and said yes maam and set up a time frame for Saturday for me to come in she said i needed Proof of residence,Drivers License, Paycheck stubs and nothing else I asked her about bringing money since i was at the bank I could get a Loan perhaps and have a status by the end of the day, she stated it wouldn't be needed and to bring those things . I called back again to confirm on if this was a preapproval or approval and if it is a preapproval how much should I bring in to cover myself the 2nd young lady I spoke with told me it was NOT a preapproval and I was in fact approved. So i got a Uber from Webster Texas (1 hr and 6 Mins away) 65 dollars and I got there to be greeted by Hailey and to be given to Lawernce (Lawernce is actually a great Salesman I have no issues with him whatsoever) Lawerence asked me a few questions and took my guest form and came back with the details that I would need to Pay the Tax title and License (Not un common for any car dealership) However no one advised me to bring money before getting there I was told I would need checks and that my bank had them (My bank did not and stated Nissan knows this ) I was sitting in their Lobby area trying to figure out my next plan and I was clearly Mad and another customer that came in with a similar issue asked me . what happened I told her these were preapprovals not approvals and I was then told to leave that I was being disruptive by a gentleman (and I use this loosely) that finds the banks for you . When I tried to speak with him privately he basically went off on me and stated the below : it was my fault that I trusted a stranger to come out there on a "Whim" I should have had a Plan B That it's not a guarantee I did not come to Nissan today on a Whim I asked the right questions this morning before coming out there and brought what they asked me too and would have not set an appt if i didn't have the money to cover what they asked for I do not like the abrasive way I was spoken to when in fact there is a lack of honesty on the sales mans front line soldiers . Point blank period I asked was it pre approval and was lied to that it was not and it was approval . I was also lied to about what to bring . at the end of the day you want all the info you need to get the sale and get someone in the car not waste each others time and make blank trips on something that can be done in 1 trip . so all in all I have no car my awesome sales guy (Lawrence) missed 1 sale (which im sure hes a awesome salesman and can more than makeup for it ) Im out 120 dollars for Ubers and I have a nasty taste in my mouth about this dealership and just will stay on my side of the pond when dealing with car buying just a poor judgment call on Hailey and the gentleman behind the glass that passed judgement without knowing what questions I asked and eventually apologized for her lack of honesty . read more

Worst experience I ever had at a car dealer. I've been a loyal customer of this place since 2016, but this place is not what it used to be anymore. Last Wed, I called and set up an appointment to perform the regular checkup maintenance to my car ( oil and filter change). 1) I requested conventional oil change which it's what I've always used, and to my surprise, the service consultant Omar Adam started pressuring me with non-sense policies trying to upsell me their synthetic oil. After me not giving in, and him pretending to find a way around it, finally, I got what I requested " at my own risk ". 2) He proceeded to tell me It would take 1 1/2 hours for them to do the job, which shocked me because I had scheduled the appointment ahead of time for the first time in the morning, yet they were treating me like a walk-in. After 2 long hours and a couple of attempts from my part to get him to check on the technicians who were taking long, Adam pretended to go to the back and talking to them but never did. How do I know? because like 1/2 an hour earlier I saw the technician dropping my keys at the counter, and I was only waiting for them to call my name. After noticing I wasn't being acknowledged, I went to the service department Manager Shaun, and told him about my frustration, he seemed frustrated too, and finally, he asked the people at the counter to process my paperwork asap. Without even noticing I was leaving, the clown of Omar Adam was still pretending to be super busy. Something really wrong is going on here. I really hope management look into the shameful, disgraceful attitude of their employees, and makes sure never happens again. On my end, I'll never do business with them. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Don't waste your time or money here. If they don't care about your time, they don't deserve your loyalty or money. Very Poor service Baker Nissan!!!! read more

Terrible experience "trying" to buy a car. Talked to Carl (the Internet Manager) before going in to explain that 1) I had an offer on my trade in and 2) was a USAA member (TrueCar) pricing member. He said that he understood and would (to the degree possible) honor the trade in offered and, of course, adhere to TrueCar pricing. I spent 3 hours with an amazing saleswoman who worked her rear end off. When it came time for the numbers, they offered $3K below what was offered for the trade in. When I explained this, they were "magnanimous" enough to agree to a higher trade in and offerer "Internet pricing". When I explained that I had TrueCar pricing (showed them on my iPad). They said they may be willing to honor the pricing. I explained that it really was not an 'option' if they wanted to stay in the USAA/TrueCar family...The 'sales manager' came to talk to me. I explained the situation and he then explained that nothing had been relayed to him. Really? The Owner's son did not pass on his agreement and that is my fault..as the buyer? Long and short, I would not buy a car from this company for any discount. There are plenty of dealers who want your business and do not try to take advantage. Maybe if I had worn golf clothes instead of a worn out TShirt?...terrible experience..... read more

I brought my 2009 Maxima for an oil change and tire rotation. I also asked if they could look at why my tire sensor, which flickered a few days before. I had had work done at the body shop months before, and the tire sensor had to be readjusted. I didn't have an appointment. I was greeted by a polite attendant, who asked me to wait for a service advisor. I didn't have to wait long in the driveway. David Bentz (the service advisor) took my information and was very professional. I went in to wait. He gave me updates twice throughout the service and told me about issues found while they were servicing my car. I chose to go only for the air filter change. He personally came to tell me that he had dropped off my paperwork at the counter and I was ready to go. My car was also washed. I was very satisfied with the entire experience. The Service waiting area is also new and clean. ALL of my previous experiences at Baker Nissan North Service Dept have been outstanding. I don't take my car anywhere else for oil changes. read more

Went in for service with my vehicle due to an issue that started the day before. My initial visit there, they could not tell me what was wrong and said they reprogrammed the car to record the codes to find out what was wrong. When I brought it in for the follow up on a recalled part, they started that there were no codes and did not know what was wrong. They proceeded to inform me that I needed to continue to drive the vehicle and make the problem worse so they could finally diagnose the problem. When I said it would cost more money he started, "yes, it would. I give them 2 stars for being prompt on the recall part but I'm still driving with an issue on my car. read more

Be very careful when you buy a vehicle at night from them. I have 2 worn tires paired with 2 new tires and loads of cosmetic issues. I understand that I should have looked more closely. I currently own 4 nissans and this is my last. I bought 2 of them in the last 6 months from this dealership. I was told that the GM isn't interested in taking care of the tire issue. I'm sitting in the service dept now because my tailgate on the truck wouldn't lock, then wouldn't unlock. This may be a long ride with this truck. It's not starting off well. read more

I orginialy went in to get my brakes replaced because I assumed that the rattling noise I was expericening was related to the brakes. They checked it over and let me know that my brakes were not related to the noise I have been hearing. Even though the root cause wasnt identified they suspected my suspension. They tighten it and went ahead and replaced some items that were part of a recall. They could have just replaced my brakes and told me it was fixed but they choose the ethical path and told me the truth! On top of the honesty, I purchased a in cabin air filter from parts and they installed it for me at no cost. While doing that they notified me that the compartment cover was missing and placed an order to replace it. All the staff that assited me was very helpful and friendly! Usually I try to give good feedback on places but I am highly disappointed with Baker Nissan. I had an appointment with Caitlyn and she wasn't even there. This was very upsetting because she is who I wanted to deal with after speaking with her on the phone. I thought it was very unprofessional to have an appt and not show up for it. Another rep greeted me and decided to stand in for Caitlyn well even though she was a gorgeous woman I felt like she wasn't friendly. No other sales rep had greeted me nor smiled or anything so I just proceeded with the lady. I was only offered water after I begin the paper work to start the process I felt like that should have been in the beginning. The lady's attitude change when I finally agreed to go through the credit process. To make this review short I didn't feel like I got what baker has been advertising .. I am a hurricane victim.. I am in the military .. I am a first time buyer .. all those deals they have to help you are FRAUD in my opinion. Caitlyn had told me they like to try and get people 0 money down well I had $500 to put down and that still wasn't good enough. With my $500 down the car note for a Nissan Sentra would have been $497 I could have bought a BMW for that price. I originally wanted a Nissan Altima but because I was a "first time" buyer with no consigner or big down payment I was offered a Sentra *roll eyes*. After wasting two hours in this place I left. No one seems to be friendly here and I will NOT be recommending this place to anyone. If I want to purchase a Nissan in the future I'll go to other locations before going back to this one. read more

HORRIBLE sales team service. We bought a new car from them and 8 days later started having problems, could not get ahold of anyone on the sales team. Funny thing was the night before we bought the car after we left the dealership they would not quit calling us about our documents and things we needed to bring but when we needed something from them nobody would respond to phone calls emails text messages.....nothing. Finally I spoke with someone in service and was told that our warranty did not start for another 30 days. Totally absurd, no customer service just worried about commission for a sold car. Sean in service finally helped out and got our car repaired after a month. As far as the service team they are very helpful especially Sean and recommend Baker Nissan service department but as far as their sales team I would not go back or recommend them to ANYONE that I know not even my worst enemy. I told them I was going to leave them a bad review he laughed at me and said he didn't care nobody reads the reviews anyways. Very arrogant group of people. I couldn't figure out why they kept asking us to leave a good review... Attempt by Sale person to trick me into signing papers to purchasing a new vehicle, I did not intend to purchase. Two stars because the man that took my car information was very friendly and nice but he was about the only one that showed any customer service. Otherwise it would be one star. I went yesterday, 12/07/2017 around 12:30 pm for a battery replacement. I was having some work done at home and could not leave my dogs at home. I took them with me to the appointment. I get that the dogs were medium sized and could not be allowed in but its kinda messed up that I had to wait outside the whole time with my dogs when the temperature was in the 40s'. Granted I was not standing in the rain but it was still really cold. Not a single person working there came out to offer me a warm drink or something. I get its not mandatory but its basic human decency to do so. I would offer a warm drink to someone standing in cold weather or even let them in. Not here. I get there are policies but there is also human decency and now I'm sick. Not saying it was me standing in the cold for an hour or so but I'm sure it didn't help. read more

I came into Baker Nissan to get my car serviced . Someone I believed to be an employee backed into my car. I went in to let the office know and they just stared at me like a deer in the headlights. NO ONE got up out of their seats to check it out. The employee just walked on by and everyone was hush hush about it so I just left. I am not pleased at all with that type of treatment. I could tell they were just happy I left. UNEXCEPTABLE. I accompanied my friend who was looking for an used car. Based on that experience I would never recommend this dealership for used cars at least. I have purchased a used car before at a different dealer and when I compare that experience with this it's more like a nightmare! Such poor standard of customer service. Everyone would go by the fact that buying a used car has its own demerits but to me the reason for going to a dealership to buy a used car is to make sure we get a car that is fully inspected and has the necessary checks performed; but what we got was a car that was just washed and that is all. The car has all sorts of problems, noise when driving because of the worn out wheel bearing, Boot with stagnant water, damaged wind shield washer reservoir. Totally a regretful experience. Many calls to the dealership yielded no response and going in person did not make any difference either. Worst dealer!! read more

I am writing this post due to having a horrible experience at Baker Nissan. After feeling lied to and undervalued as a customer and veteran I wrote an email to Mr. Randy Foust (General Manger). It has been three weeks since I sent the email and he has still not responded. When I went to the dealership Thursday, I asked to speak with Mr. Foust and he was in a meeting. So I asked Mr. Mike Luna to have him call me. As you can guess I have not received a call as of yet. The email that I sent to him follows: Hello Mr. Foust, Baker Nissan Program Headquarters contacted me for the loan and lease termination program based on my timely automobile payment history qualifying me to participate. My first thought was this can't be real but after receiving a call from Mrs. Vanessa Richards I realized it must be true. This made me reminisce back to my first experience with Baker Nissan. My sales representative Kire Janev aided me in trading my 2006 Nissan Altima S and getting into a 2015 Nissan Altima SV in December of 2014. Although he really took care of me and made sure that the car I got was what I wanted he was not alone, it was a joint venture you can even say a family affair. This included financing with Felipe Rodriquez and pricing with Mike Luna. They helped in completing my one of a kind experience just like Baker Nissan states on the website. I came to Baker Nissan on the 30th of March to see about getting a new vehicle. Unfortunately my experience on March 30th was not as enjoyable. Upon getting to the dealership I asked for Mrs. Vanessa Richards because she had called me the previous week about coming in to see what vehicle I could get into. I was told by Mrs. Richards that the SR model was above the SV model in the Altima line. This was followed by Mr. Silos telling me that NMAC gave me 3.31% APR. When I inquired why my approved APR would be higher than the 2.9% I was given on my 2015 especially since I was seen as a select few to participate in the loan and lease termination program. He stated that rates fluctuate and NMAC offered me the 3.31% gave this time around. When all was said and done the deal wasn't completed until 1 a.m. in the morning. Yet I didn't feel as delighted as I did after my first car purchase yet faith in Nissan remained. This was until it really hit how I got a model (SR) that is cheaper than the model I had (SV). As well as being less than the new model SV as well. This was further displayed in the loss of a lot of amenities in the transaction, such as; moon roof, auto start, dual temp, XM radio and rearview mirror upgrade. Before leaving the lot I was shown the vehicle by Ms. Gayla Waller and asked Mrs. Richards, if I wasn't pleased in the morning what my recourse would be seeing as it was 1 a.m. in the morning. She politely stated that the state of Texas doesn't allow that followed by congratulations, let me know when you can come and get a full detail and have a good day. Nissan is a great brand and I have known this from my history with Nissan. My mother has owned a Nissan Maxima since 2004, which led to me purchasing my 2006 Altima. We have a family history of buying Nissan vehicles and have grown to love the vehicles and the brand. The Nissan mission/vision is to enrich people's lives, building trust with our employees, customers, dealers, partners, shareholders and the world at large. My recent purchase does not echo this vision or the trust that my family has built over the 5 vehicles we have purchased in our lives. I am writing to inform you in the hope that you can restore my faith in Baker Nissan. I believe that Nissan is still the best and know that what I experienced is not in line with the values that Baker Nissan or Nissan's values are.
