I came here because of all the raving reviews, but After trying their baked goods I really don't understand why they are so high. We got the following: Stollen. It was inedible. Too dry, almost stale. Not sweet enough like the authentic German Stollen. Not aromatic or flavorful. Barely any marzipan on the inside.it didn't even pass a resent sweet bread mark. Tiramisu. It had such an unpleasant off-taste, as if something spoiled or rancid was in it, that even my husband who rarely passes on any sweets said "It's horrible". Yule Log. Just mediocre roll cake. Also ordered the California club sandwich, which is basically a croissant with ham, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, mustard, and mayo. I thought the sandwich was okay. It was premade, so it was cold when I was eating it. The sandwich had good flavor, but the croissant wasn't as flaky and crispy as I had hoped. For almost $10, I expected it to be better than it was. This bakery is kind of pricey. For 3 items, I spent close to $20. In the future, I'm excited to try new baked items, but would probably skip the sandwiches. (that I've tried hahha) but even all their other baked goods are pretty much perfection. I am kind of glad that they ran out of the twice baked almond croissants because we got to try some other things. We got the strawberry cheesecake which was amazing!! The regular croissant, coffee cake and the Sugar & Pecan Brioche!! were all super yummy! Couldn't get enough of it. I want to definitely try their savory specialties next time! This place is hands down my favorite bakery. The location is a bit inconvenient but it is worth the trip. The employees are very friendly and patient. I walked through their whole case asking about almost every section. The have macaroons, cookies, bread, croissants, and cake. I ended up ordering the pistachio berry cake and the chocolate croissant. I thought the berry cake was a good texture with the crispy wafer crusted bottom. Though I did not like how it was a bit too tart to compliment the pistachio flavor. The chocolate croissant was one of the best I have ever had. I was worried that the croissant wouldn't be that good because it was not heated but, to my surprise, it's still crunchy. I also tried a bit of their double baked chocolate croissant. If I could come to Bakery Nouveau every morning for a fresh Twice Baked Chocolate Croissant (without obviously running out of money very quickly), I would. Bf and I came here on a Sunday early afternoon for a sweet dessert. We had heard great reviews about Bakery Nouveau and decided to check it out. When we got to the bakery, there was a big group waiting in line (seemed like they were going to make a bulk order) and several other smaller duos sitting around the bakery. There are only really two big tables in the bakery- so it is definitely a smaller space. Anyways, absolutely LOVED the Twice Baked Chocolate Croissant. BEST croissant I've ever had. Hands down. Super crispy on the outside with a fluffy interior with a chocolate filling. The chocolate is closer to semi-sweet chocolate. Not too sweet or overwhelming- just the way I like it. We also got the fruit tart and the vanilla bread pudding. Both were pretty good as well. Everything was just the right amount of sweet which I sometimes fine it hard to balance in a bakery shop. One of my favorite cafes In town! Let me tell ya bakery Nouveau is so good I cannot stop coming here. There coffee superb, there food and desserts are so good I dream about them at night... I know it's weird but there twice baked almond croissant is like crack. I mean it's addicting and once you try it once you won't be able to resist the temptations. Believe me you gotta try it. There other desserts like the macaroons and cakes are also so fluffy scrumptious and out of this world.
