The servers are very kind and professionally answers questions to explain the food. The inside and outside looks very clean and nice place to sit and eat delicious food. I got Mother Earth bowl and it is so good that I'm already ready to go back soon to get it again. I also saw other entrees that I would like to try. My friend got Forbidden Rice and almost every time she ate it she said " this is so good and tasteful" and I totally agree. She got the chocolate pudding that is vegan she liked it. The place felt like a breakfast joint since they had the breakfast nook seating or like banquette seating. I got calm comforting vibes here. Salad The salad was fresh and was filled with kale. The Volume of the salad was pretty loaded. Stir-Fry Noodles with Chicken It had veggies, chicken, mushrooms, peppers, and cashews. The bowls flavors were balanced and it did not taste like a Chinese stir fry more like a healthier version of it. I will say the portion size was normal it wasn't overly huge or too small. For the price I did wish it had a little more.

They warm the bread, remove the inside and leaves the crispy outside to fill in with salad. Their salad recipes are good, especially the southwest one with avocados and black beans. Oh, so many tables to sit alone or as a group. Great place to be ! Leaving satisfied and would want to come back!

I will say this flavor particularly was a 5/5 for me. It was exactly what I was looking for (carbs, spicy Caesar salad...not hard to please). However, I haven't found myself wanting to come back even though I drive past this area pretty frequently. If I did come back, I'd probably just order the same flavor again because it was that good. The Zeppelin is very filling though and kept me good for 2 meals, I just think nothing else on the menu appealed to me (other than the Spicy Tejano) enough to steer away from my go-to sandwich/bowl places if the craving for that type of food ever came. The staff were super friendly though and parking wasn't terrible. I can see why they chose the location since it is a great lunch spot for people in the area tbat want something quick but don't wanna run into the mall/opt for fast food drive thru.

We snarfed a couple Alamo plates with a plethora of goodies, brown rice, shredded kale, TX blend of shredded cheeses, cherry tomatoes, black beans, diced red onion, tortilla chips, roasted pieces of chicken thigh and a killer chipotle-lime vinaigrette and a squeeze of lime....came with a slice of sourdough.....amazing. The girls both got Meditteranean protein plates, white basmati rice, roasted pieces of chicken thigh, mozzarella-tomato salad, warm chickpeas, roasted broccolini, hummus, tzatziki spicy harissa, yum. Our granddaughter got her own plate, a bento box wit' grilled brussel sprouts, grilled cauliflower, brown rice and grilled chicken which she kept trying to feed to grandma. The Kids meal was half price. We shared three cookies between 3 adults and 2 grandbabies, one L&G cookie, a brownie and one rosemary shortbread cookie. Everybody got to taste my berry smoothie. Everything we tried was very good. We'll be back for more of these "healthy" goodies.

Leaf & Grain is the spot to satisfy those cravings. This West University location is easy to find and it located on a corner of a large shopping strip. Parking is plentiful. Inside is spacious and is warm and inviting with lots of seating. Counter service is how they run business and they do it well with a great customer service. As I'm sure you've guessed from their name, they specialize in salads and grain bowls. The menu is not big by any means. A little more variety would be great. Both the salad and grain bowl categories have about 3 or 4 options each. They also have 3 plate options as well with chicken or seafood. If you're in the mood for a sandwich they have a few of those options as well. My eyes locked in on one of their seasonal warm bowls. In the summer months, they have cooler, cold options. My eyes locked in on the Massaman Curry. I'm a sucker for Thai flavors and this bowl was calling out to me. It came with a bed of brown rice, topped with chicken, peppers, onions, cilantro, spinach and topped with a curry sauce. They also gave a chili powder on the side if I wanted to make it spicy along with some peanuts. Yes please! The bowl was presented nicely. I mixed it all together and added a dash of the Thai chili powder. This dish was delicious. Not trying to be funny, but I wasn't expecting that much flavor coming out of a dish from a grain and salad spot. The ingredients were fresh and the curry was so flavorful. I tasted hints of coconut that made it slightly sweet, but it packed some heat to it as well. I loved the contrast in textures as well. I washed it down with a Mango Deck (mango, strawberries, banana, agave and coconut milk) smoothie which was a perfect, refreshing sip to go along with the spicy meal. Overall, I liked this place alot. Sometimes it's nice to have a meal without having a guilty conscience afterwards. I will definitely come back if in the area.

I believe happy hour is M-F, 3-6:30PM Not to be a chicken nugget girl, but I will say that the Coconut Chicken Bites were one of my favorite dishes that night. The chicken was sooo tender and perfectly fried. I don't think I really tasted much coconut though, but still yummy regardless! I also really enjoyed the Meat Pie Minnies and the Polo Club Suya! The pastry pie is so delicious and the Polo Club Suya was packed with flavor. Wished the meat was just a tad more tender, but awesome for the taste buds.
