I had high hopes walking into Bamboo Dedham. The restaurant was beautiful chic, modern, and super clean. The service was great too. Friendly, attentive, and everything came out in a timely way. But when it came to the food, it was just ok for me. I ordered the Shrimp Fried Rice and the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. The rice had decent flavor, but nothing really stood out. It tasted more like a safe choice than something I would go back for. The shrimp with lobster sauce had a nice portion size, but the sauce felt a little flat. It was missing that rich, layered flavor I was expecting. We also got the Bo Bo Platter to share, which is their appetizer sampler. It came with beef teriyaki, chicken wings, spring rolls, shrimp, and crab rangoons. A little bit of everything. Again, it was just ok. The flavors didn't pop the way I wanted them to. My husband had the Crispy Pad Thai which came with jumbo shrimp, chicken , and egg, stir fried with rice noodles. It had a nice presentation. The standout of the night for me was definitely the Fried Shrimp from the Bo Bo Platter. It was done perfectly. Light, crisp, not weighed down by thick batter. I honestly would have been happy just getting a plate of those. Overall, Bamboo is a beautiful space with solid service, but food wise, it didn't hit for me the way I hoped it would. I might try it again for something different, but this visit was just ok.

While visiting relatives in Dedham, Mass., we went to Bamboo for dinner. Our drinks were delicious. I really enjoyed the Asian Pear Martini. For appetizers we had vegetable spring rolls, summer rolls, wonton soup and hot and sour soup. Portions were large--especially for the summer rolls--and very good. For our entrees, we had the Polynesian chicken, sautéed chicken and vegetables (which was like Moo Goo Gai Pan), Garlic Chicken, and the Family meal of steak, chicken, and shrimp in a brown sauce. All were good and had leftovers to take home. We had to ask for white rice, which struck us as odd. Service was friendly and efficient. The dining room is large and comfortable. We recommend if you're in the Dedham area.

Very good food. Very classy ambiance. The restaurant is a little tricky to find and get to, tucked away in a lot next to hotel off the highway. They used to have a great buffet pre covid. The food is on the expensive side but very very tasty.

Solid food and service here recently. Got the Snow Mountain maki and a shrimp and vegetable luncheon special. A bit on the expensive side, but everything was good.

I find myself back again. Not specifically for the food, more that this is the best hotel near where I'm working. I should have read my review from 9months ago and not ordered the gyoza or at least asked for a different dipping sauce. Soy and sesame with chili oil would have been better. Also they were a bit cool. When I bit into the first one I looked for the server, but she was not around so I muddled through. I ordered the hunan boneless duck and asked for it spicy. It also came out cool to the touch and not spicy at all. In fact it had almost no flavor. I did send that back and asked for it to be spiced up. It came back and tasted the same. I asked for some chili flake and added it at the table. Last time I had the sushi and it has okay. Perhaps I should stick with that next time.

I like this place but the service was a bit slow. The waiter also forgot our spring rolls and they were on the bill. It was fixed without question. I like a few things on the menu so I'll be back.

My sister and I have gone twice since they opened a few weeks ago. I am the kind of person that likes to eat raw fish over cooked fish and do not like sugar in my tea. Food&Drinks: the BYO poké bowls are my favorite. The fish is fresh enough that it doesn't smell fishy or oceany. The toppings are all delicious and fresh. Although, I wish it were a little bit more chilled when served. The sushi rice is a bit over cooked but still okay. Drinks are great! Haven't had a bad drink yet! My go to is the Iced Matcha and the A-Oolong tea w/ cheese foam. The strawberry matcha latte and drip coffee are also yummy! Service: staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Portions were surprisingly generous when I first started visiting Poke Bros at the Westwood…read morelocation shortly after it opened. At that time, the bowls felt like a great value for the price, and the quality and consistency kept me coming back. Unfortunately, over the past year, I've noticed that the portion sizes have become increasingly inconsistent from visit to visit. Most recently, on 7/29, I ordered three Build Your Own bowls. When I got home and unpacked everything, I noticed that two of the bowls appeared to contain roughly half the amount of food I would normally expect, while the third bowl looked closer to the portion size I've received in the past. What was especially disappointing was that one of the bowls included double protein, yet it still looked no larger than a standard portion. Considering the additional cost, I expected a noticeably larger serving. There was also an issue with one of the customizations. The employee preparing one of the bowls added a very large scoop of pickled ginger instead of the jalapeño slices that were selected on the order. While mistakes can happen and this alone would not have been a major concern, it was frustrating given that the order clearly listed the ingredients for each bowl. Accuracy is important, especially for customized orders where customers are paying for specific ingredients and combinations. What made the situation more disappointing was that I did not realize the issue until I arrived home. The bowl that appeared to have the most food was placed on top of the order, while the two noticeably underfilled bowls were underneath. Had I checked everything before leaving the store, I would have brought it to the staff's attention immediately. Unfortunately, by the time I discovered the problem, I was already home. In hindsight, I wish I had taken photos because the difference in portion sizes was very obvious. I want to emphasize that I have not experienced significant issues at this location before, which is why this visit stood out. I have generally enjoyed the food and service, and that is the reason I have continued to return. However, consistency is one of the most important aspects of any restaurant experience. Customers should be able to expect similar portion sizes and order accuracy every time they visit, especially when paying extra for add-ons such as double protein. Going forward, I may need to start checking my order and portion sizes before leaving the store, which is something I have never felt the need to do in the past. I hope management can address these concerns by reinforcing portion standards and providing additional training where necessary to ensure orders are prepared accurately and consistently. I would appreciate seeing improvements, as I would like to continue supporting this location.
