Last night I went and had dinner again at Bamboo Garden. I always come back to Bamboo Garden for the delicious Chinese food but also for the excellent service I always get from Ada, Ada is always quick to bring my order and she know what dishes I like and she always serve me and my husband with her friendly smile. The owner is also really nice and sometime come ask how I like my food. My favorite dishes from Bamboo Garden are the mushu pork, garlic eggplants, spicy fried chicken wings, crispy seafood noodles, salt and pepper pork chop and many more. They have so many dishes on the menu I want to try but always end up getting my favorite dishes :) If u are looking for good Chinese food at an affordable price, I highly recommend Bamboo Garden! Celebrated Mother's Day with my husband, sister and 90 year old mother who used to run a Japanese restaurant. She is extremely picky when it comes to Asian food. We ordered Mongolian beef, Orange chicken, honey walnut prawns and Crispy Hong Kong pan fried noodle combo. We "mmm'd" and "yum'd" through the entire meal. I really like the chicken chow mein that bamboo garden and the spring rolls are good but the sesame chicken taste like there's some sort of a peanut sauce in it not your typical sesame chicken flavor. If you don't like that Middle Eastern kind of peanut flavoring on your chicken do not order the sesame chicken. It's just a different type of chicken that I'm used to better than that this restaurant is great. So. I was initially going to give this olace 3 stars for service but that immediately changed upon my departure. Me and my partner order 2 lunch specials 1 with General chicken and the other orange beef. We both upgraded to the fried rice and added a side of shrimp chow mein. The Good : The chow mein was decent with a good amount of shrimp. The Bad. The rice was chewy and cold, the spring roll was cold as well. Both the chicken and beef taste the same and was chewy. The Ugly: the service started off spectacular. I honestly opted for no tip due to the fact that the food was awful and I barely wanted to pay for that. The owner immediately grabbed our receipt and said "No tip? You didn't like our service?" I explained it wasn't the service it was the food. In the end he displayed a poor attitude, it was obvious we were disappointed at the quality of the food and there was no accountability taken on their part. I had a mad craving for traditional Chinese food, not the fusion type. I ordered their kung pao chicken with fried rice from their lunch menu and an order of chicken chow fun. I received a huge portion of each. I wasn't expecting so much food!! It was fine by me since I ate the chow fun for dinner. The flavor matched my palate. Not overly salty and I was able to taste the flavors of the vegetables still. The zucchini in the kung pao chicken was perfect! I'm not a fan of mushy zucchini and it's usually mushy in stir-fry type dishes but not here. I will definitely be back to try out more stuff from their menu. read more

5 star service again and this time I told myself I have to write a review. This restaurant really deserves all the raves for their fresh, piping hot and flavorful food. The next time you think where should you go for Chinese food this place should be top of your list. The last two times I ordered online and both times the food was ready before the time given. Since this happened the first time I went early the second time and sure enough it was packaged and ready to go with utensils, sauces and fortune cookies. The serving sizes are enough for 4 people easily. One thing they do when packaging your food is to put a hole in the lid or leave the flap of the box vented for any food that should be crispy. This keeps it from getting steamy and soggy. Genius and much appreciated! Items ordered were BBQ Pork Fried Rice, Orange Chicken, Chicken Potstickers, and Green beans and eggplant. DO NOT GO HERE!!! My family and I have been going to this restaurant for 1 year and some months and we have brought a lot of business to this place with friends and with family. Unfortunately we will NOT be going back. Yesterday my family and others went to this restaurant to celebrate my brothers birthday (we were just there July 16th to celebrate my other brothers birthday). We were 3 separate families with 3 separate checks (we let the server know about this immediately to avoid any confusion and luckily the restaurant was empty) we all proceeded to order our food. When it was time to pay my check was given to me and to my surprise our party of 2 adults and 2 kids was charged 20% gratuity. I thought it was a mistake so I went up to the female server with burgundy hair and asked her about the tips that were included. She right away got defensive with me and started to raise her voice. I asked her why she charged me 20% when we were a party of 4 and her menu EXPLICITLY says that amount would be charged to parties of 6 or more. She did not want to reason with me and snatched the receipt from my hand and started saying " ok ok can you at least give me 15% you always come here and never give me good tip always bad tip" I was completely taken aback about this comment because that has never been the case. Whenever we come to THIS restaurant to eat we make sure to show our verbal appreciation and our monetary appreciation to the servers and staff. She then proceeded to throw the receipt on the table and start speaking in her language. I'm very disappointed with this treatment as I thought this restaurants staff was trustworthy and that we had an established relationship especially since we come to this location at least 2-3x a month. Unfortunately that will not be the case. We also noticed that on another party of 3 they were also charged the 20% gratuity. It seems like they wanted to charge all of us and didn't think we would say anything, which would explain as to why she got so defensive as soon as I asked her about it. Please do not come to this location. The lady with short burgundy hair is so rude and aggressive towards customers when they question prices. This location was a genuine great experience, the young woman, Maggie, greeted us at the door with a warm welcome and sat us right away. We ordered the salt and pepper wings, Mongolian lamb, and some tofu in sauce that all paired well with some rice on the side. The food reminds me of home cooking that is both delicious and comforting. Maggie encouraged our opinions on the dishes and went straight to the kitchen to relay what we said, it's great to see that the owners still want to improve even though the taste is already great. The restaurant itself is located in a plaza with Lucky's which is perfect for to-go after grocery shopping.
