Delicious hot lo mein with bbq pork onion green onion celery carrotnot over sauced, the noodle is the star of this dish. $12 is a good price. Simple and good. Lemon chicken white meat dipped and fried in a crunchy batter served with lemon sauce and lemon wedges. Elevated chicken fingers. Delicious.

Laid back and casual ambiance in the fry's shopping plaza. Still nice seating and upkeep. My husband and I were here in a Friday night and there was only 1 other table. Our server had personality and was a gem.. was she good at her job? Ehh.. lol. At one point she ran from our table mid sentence out of nowhere. We could hear here in the back asking someone if they needed help. Not sure what that was but it was okay, didn't take points for that. The issue I had was that half my ribs were cold, she forgot my soup and I had to ask for it at the end of the meal, I asked for no nuts and got nuts, and the food was just okay. Okay time here at bamboo view.

The customer service here is so friendly and fast! We came in on a Friday night and it was empty, so nice and quiet and fast, open seating. Such a hidden gem. I love this place. Eaten in twice and gotten Uber once. The food is fresh and so flavorful. Today I got the sesame chicken dinner combo and it was amazing. I have enough for second dinner later I got a lychee boba and the boba wasn't good at all, it had a weird taste. Everything else was amazing as usual.

3.5/4* Overall. Good stop close to gym, arriving just past 3PM so missed out on the lunch specials +$2 more for same (limited) entrees with soup, egg roll and cream cheese 2 won tons. Hubby got Kung Pao Chicken with fried rice $13.95 4/5*. Average size portion for dinner combo, he finished it all. Chicken red green peppers onions are sliced, with diced carrot & celery. Mild spice and good flavor, not overly sweet as most add sugar to sauce. He particularly liked the fried rice that had a smokiness to it, not greasy and good wok hei /stir fry taste. Accompanying veggie egg roll was mushy inside and cream cheese won tons, just extra calories not worth it personally, with neon red sweet sour dipping sauce, but he thought they were aok. The hot sour soup was a larger than normal cup, mostly broth, good viscosity but needed to be more tart/vinegar, spicier for warming heat and more vegetables for texture, bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms and egg seemed to be missing. The BBQ Pork with Broccoli 3/5* $12.95 dinner entree had great flavor but the pork was mostly darker brown in the middle, ie dried out, and touch to chew. Portion again average, while there is good amount of cha sui and comes with white rice, no brown in the house, the bite size broccoli also was a bit tough despite it's small size. Glad that it was not overcooked but still more than toothy, needed a bit longer in the wok. Oolong tea $3.25, ouch when you are used to it being on the house like chips & salsa, or a minimal $1-2 charge. Does come in a pot so enough for 2 really. Dining room and bathrooms are nicely decorated and pleasant. Greeted when we walked in, then silence...so we asked if we should just sit anywhere haha which they acknowledged with a yes. Waitress did check on us after food arrived. Our next Bamboo View will be from the other side of the 3PM witching hour for lunch haha or full on into dinner for the expanded menu options.

Pit stickers appetizer. Deep fried but not too greasy. Tasty

Went here for lunch the other day. This place is located on the SW corner of Golf Links and Kolb. I have been here several times and it decent Chinese food. It spectacular but ok. It certainly ranks higher than those fast food Americanized versions of Chinese food. This time I got a lunch order of their house lo mein. It comes egg roll roll, soup, and rice. As you would expect, they are smaller portions than their normal entrees. I got the egg flower soup, but they also have the hot & sour soup. The lo mein was pretty good. It was a bit oily, but not too bad. I really enjoyed the amount of meat in the serving. The meat, vegetables, noodles were cooked perfectly. The vegetables still had some texture without being raw. It was seasoned well so that I didn't need to add any extra salt or sauce to appeal to my taste. I wanted to try the pot stickers. These are deep fried, but I prefer the pan fried. Still, they were not greasy and tasted nice. The provided sauce was not really useful as it had no flavor. I prefer a ginger based sauce. I ended up eating the dumplings without the sauce. There is nothing fancy about this place. The furnishings look like they have been there for 30 years and never updated. It is ok for a quick bite, but would not want to bring a date here. The server was quick and attentive. She can by several times without being overly annoying. To sum up, it was quick and acceptable for a lunchtime stop. I have been here several times before the review, and I am sure I will be back.

Stopped in by myself for lunch today, about 12:30 pm. Maybe only one or two diners inside. The staff, consisting of a lone server, asked me if was going to dine in or take out and said just pick a table when I said I would dine in. I'm sure there was a cook and maybe a food chopper in the back. I was brought a menu and she took my drink order. When she brought the drink I asked for a small hot and sour soup and the beef chop suey with the fried rice, a $2 upcharge apparently. Business was slow but steady. Several more folks came in to eat as did several pick ups. Not packed this Saturday afternoon, but steady. Enough to keep the lone server busy. She brought me my soup just plain in the bowl. No fried wontons or anything to drop in the soup. It was good with a mild spicyness from the peppers but otherwise not overwhelming. The chop suey followed with the small bowl of fried rice. The chop suey was good in a tasty slightly tangy dark brown sauce. Full of various veggies, broccoli, carrots, baby corn, peas, etc., that were cooked crunchy and not soggy. She refilled my drink once without having to chase her down and ask. My server was friendly and attentive. The food was pretty good as far as standard cantonese fare is these days in Tucson. You can see the serving size in the picture. Was a pretty good size serving. And the taste was much better then most places. I think that I'll try this place a few more times with different items. I would recommend you try this place out and see what you think. It's actually been here for some time and it's also been a long long time since I was last there. Prices are now in the $13+ range for entrees

Excellent Chinese food which is sometimes difficult to find in Tucson. All the food was fresh, hot and full of tender crisp veggies. The chef knows how to serve it hot but not over cooked. Service was friendly and very quick. We had the sizzling rice soup large bowl was great for 2-3 people. The Mongolian chicken was hands-down, the best dish we've had in a long time at any Chinese restaurant. Also got the Sizzling Rice Shrimp this was also very well prepared and cooked, but it needed some spice. Top- be clear to the waitress on the item number you want. Excellent food well prepared.

Promptly seated, drinks brought out, order taken and food delivered fast, hot and correct. The background music was some chinese music tv station playing modern easy listening tunes and, along with the comfortable chairs and solid table made for a relaxing environment. The food? meh. You can see our order in the latest photo and how expensive it was. the Lo Mein was mostly tasteless and certainly lacking in thast "lo mein flavor." Although the meat was tender, the sauce was just a sticky brown sauce. Surprisingly, the Spicy Pickle Tofu was essentially the same sticky brown sauce as the Lo Mein but with some fried tofu in it and without the noodles but nothing otherwise remarkable. You can tell by looking at my earlier picture attached. The old picture shows a bright and colorful plate. The dish today was a dark brown (you could hardly see the tofu from the beef) as everything was just dark. Eggplant seemed to have a similar brown sauce as well but the eggplant was otherwise tasteless. Nothing popped. Chicken bites were bland and not at all crunchy. Just fried to soft texture but no real flavor. According to our server, the menu was just recently updated about a month ago. We noticed because one of our favorites was the Fried Taro Pie which is now gone from the menu and the server said yes, that's right. Maybe this place has a new owner or chef, but it's no longer in my top asian restaurants for Tucson.

Service was attentive and everyone inside was incredibly kind and respectful. Ordered Crab Rangoons and Beef Chow Fun, a couple of staples of mine trying new Chinese restaurants. Rangoons were perfectly crispy, while the chow fun had a delicious wok hei flavor. The noodles and beef were tender and the dish had plenty of onions/green onions/etc. The only thing I didn't care for - and this is a personal preference - is that the chow fun did have a little more star anise/five spice flavor than I care for.
