Wow guys, I didn't expect to like this so much, but I shouldn't have been surprised, because frozen banana is literally the best. I even stuck with covering plain, low sugar, which is banana with peanut butter and graham crackers, and it tasted delicious. They know their combos. It's the perfect treat for a hot day. However, I still feel like I can make this at home, so I feel wrong paying for it, but whatever they do they do it well at this food truck. They even have vegan chocolate. The treats came out in like less than a minute too. I may be back :)

Speedy and delicious. Spring for the wholesie - it's not too decadent. Will definitely be back.

Dessert food truck on the drag! They have frozen dipped bananas, many options to choose from. Got the Texas 2 step, but substituted the toffee for stroop waffle. The full size was about $8. The chocolate coating was great and they were generous with the toppings!

It's located on UT campus, and is a great treat for the heat. You can customize the banana. I had white chocolate and toffee on it. The spoon that comes with is chilled, so it doesn't melt too quick.

Wow. What a cool idea. I was visiting Austin and just browsing on Yelp and saw this and had to stop by after seeing pics and reading reviews. Unique idea and the end product is amazing. They serve the banana at the perfect temperature to devour as well. Not so cold you get a brain freeze but cold enough to stay in one piece. The girl working was friendly and I took her recommendations for making mine but this thing was delicious. Lots of outdoor seating around that seems to be shared with a couple other businesses

I went only because I was with my 12 year old granddaughter. Wow was I underestimating. This was a delicious treat. Imagine a cold creamy banana dipped in white chocolate, rolled in toffee bits and drizzled with Nutella. It was a plastic spoon frozen in the end for a handle. They do only one thing and do it very well

Fun dessert place! Bananarchy is a customizable frozen banana dessert place - add a dip like chocolate or peanut butter to a half or whole banana and then customize with drizzles and toppings like Oreos, sprinkles and so much more! They also have signature bananas that you can choose from. And there are vegan options available! It is $3-5 dollars for a simple 1 topping banana, while a signature is $4.50-5.50. While it is good - is it basic and slightly expensive for what it is. Fun place to try, but you can easily recreate at home for much less expensive.

This is bananas! I did not expect a frozen banana treat to taste so good. I went for the full size because I was hungry, but I couldn't finish it as it is a really hefty, caloric banana and overwhelmingly sweet. I got it with chocolate and oreos, which was such a tasty dessert. I paid over $6 for one banana, which is quite pricey. You can customize the banana with different toppings and drizzles. Bananarchy is located in a plaza with shared picnic bench seating.

Surprise dessert spot for valentines day! My husband knows i love dessert but he wanted to be spontaneous and check this spot out instead of going for something on the dessert menu after dinner. Located on UT campus. There wasn't many people around but one other guy and us. We ordered the cookie crumble and the afternoon delight. I was very surprised by how good these were. The banana was basically frozen but not to the point where it hurts your teeth. The flavor combos were excellent. I got a little sick of it half way through though. So many split one with someone !

It was a bit messy to eat. But SO worth getting chocolate and caramel all over myself.

It's been over a week and I'm still craving these bananas. I enjoy a good chocolate covered banana, but this is a whole new level. They cover a large banana with whatever toppings you like and have a great selection of pre-selected combinations if you can't choose. I went with chocolate and caramel and toffee and opted for the full banana because I have a major sweet tooth and I can eat a lot. That said, I almost couldn't finish it!!! It was sooooo good. The banana was super fresh and the toppings tasted that way too - I'm always nervous about toppings because so many places have stale ones but that was not the case here. Just...YUM. Also the employee working was super sweet and conversational. I wish the city I live in had this place.

WOW! this place has been on my list for so long, so glad I finally visited! Will definitely be returning! Great vegan options! The bananas are not too sweet, not too rich! A perfect snack on a hot summer day! I love the variety of toppings to choose from and how each banana can be so different. The Peanut Butter Pie banana is so creamy and the peanut butter pairs so well with the chocolate and banana. The Joe Banana packs a punch. Strong coffee flavor perfect for coffee lovers balanced by a sweet toffee. Delicious!

That time i found a small piece of foil in the chocolate and they responded so kindly! Never found another piece. LOVE this place!!

i LOVE this place!!! Its so freaking delicious. You dont need to ask for many toppings because even just one is sweet enough. Things i appreciate: - the bananas are always perfectly ripe - even if you do delivery with a food app, it always arrives pretty much perfectly in tact - they've never gotten our order wrong, and its always been so delicious! We've been eating bananarchy for a couple of months now, on multiple occasions (I'd say we've ordered from them about 10 times in the past year or so (we love it!). There came a point last december when, two times in a row, i found a tiny piece of tin foil in the chocolate part (I would assume from part of their chocolate melting process), so i reached out and left them a phone call to inform them. Kat from Bananarchy was kind enough to text back and offer a free banana in exchange - and honestly, we've eaten bananarchy two more times since then (it is now march 2022), and we have yet to find a foil piece. Love this place! perfect for a date night or dessert, especially cause they're open a little later than other places :)

This place is amazing! I'm from Houston but every time I'm in Austin I make sure to stop here for a sweet treat. This is my all time favorite dessert place bc it feels healthy, I mean it's bananas!! My go to order is a make your own banana, size wholsie with vegan dark Chocolate, pecans and as much peanut butter drizzle possible. I swear by this place, you will love it and leave feeling great! Service The guy working the truck seemed to be high while taking our orders and making food. That must explain why tacos are $7, they were decently large and that runny age was good. It also took ages to make and get our food. I know vegan food does tend to take longer because of the care process, but this was another level. They did not call our names when the food was ready and it took ages. We even came to check on our food a few times and it was not ready. Ambiance Food truck in the middle of an empty lot. Since I normally loved cooking vegan at home, some of what they served here, especially lentils, matched exactly what I would have cooked. The soup and tea were amazing as well, and there was a piece of paper on the table with explanations about the tea. Even on a Monday in December, this place had everything that I needed. There was a hammock outside, a path to walk on, and a bulletin board with flyers advertising all types of local events that were along the lines of healing and inner peace. We got one Austin roll ($22), volcano roll ($15), creamy spicy tan tan ramen ($20), teriyaki sesame tofu yakisoba ($20). I have had their sushi and yakisoba but tried their ramen for first time. I was impressed with their packaging. As you can see in picture, veggies and noodles box was on top and soup at bottom. The only thing I didn't like how noodles became very sticky because of how tight they were packed. So I got it as cold (because I live 30 mins away) and sticky. Ramen came with all the veggies like grilled Chinese broccoli, tofu, sweet corn, marinated shiitake mushrooms, red onions and negi. Yakisoba noodles had the Stir-fried noodles tossed with cabbage, scallion, carrot, marinated shiitake mushrooms, and fragrant negi in a savory house sauce. It was good if you like this type of noodles. Austin roll had Smoked tempeh, tempura tofu, jalapeño, pickles. And on the to Avocado, roasted garlic oil, tempura flakes, smoked paprika, teriyaki. Volcano roll was a deep fried roll which had spinach, avocado, sweet potato. On top: spicy mayo, sweet soy sauce, chili sauce, Caviart and tempura onion. While the food was really yummy, the drinks were somehow even better. I had an early grey martini that blew me away. Probably in the top 2 best cocktails I've ever had in my life. I ordered a holiday cheese box on December 3 as a Christmas gift. My card was charged immediately. The order never shipped, and I received no communication until I followed up myself, multiple times. After the holidays, I learned (only because I kept pushing) that my order had been internally canceled due to a system glitch, with no email, no refund, and no outreach. I was repeatedly told it would ship on specific dates that came and went. A replacement order was finally sent in January. It arrived late, wet, with melted and ruptured ice packs, and the cheese was very soft to the point my friends weren't sure it was safe to eat. The box also lacked the gift note that was supposed to be included. What bothers me most is that my card would have stayed charged indefinitely if I hadn't chased this down myself. That's not okay especially for perishable food. It's a real shame, because the product itself is great. But based on this experience, I can't recommend ordering gifts or anything time-sensitive unless the fulfillment and communication processes dramatically improve.

Not just in Austin, but ever. I am now desperately seeking pierogies that rival FTG's. It's not just the pierogies themselves... but the sauce, it would make angels sing. Every time I tried something new, my heart would long for the pierogies. I finally gave in to my desires and quit trying other new things. I think next time I go back I'm just going to ask strangers if I can have a bite of their food, so I can say I've tried everything. But until then, this review is for what I have tried. After the pierogies. My next favorite things in order. Fried chicken (perfectly crisp bites), jerk chicken (little spicy, not dry, perfect), chilli (so spicy), gnocchi. The cheesecake would technically rank after the pierogies, but because they're a dessert I don't wanna mess up the order here and confuse y'all. The two dudes that work this truck, are here EVERY time. I'm pretty sure the only days they take off is Mondays and Tuesdays. Tell them the girl from Kansas City with a big dog sent to you. Lastly. Know that you won't find this place overrun with college kids or snotty hipsters. Just regular people enjoying a good dive bar.

Rating: 2.7/5 [Postmates delivery]…read more We were so excited to try FTG's food, especially given its high Yelp rating. Unfortunately, it ended up being extremely disappointing. The meats were unforgivably dry, though everything else was good. Steak & Zab ($22): The zab, a mix of green beans, mushrooms, and broccoli tossed in salsa macha with sabayon, was actually enjoyable. I liked the flavors, but it was a bit too creamy/saucy for my husband (likely due to the sabayon). The steak, however, was dry and very chewy. Asian Style Spare Ribs ($17): This came with a 1/3 rack of spare ribs, a Thai cabbage salad, and five-spice fried potatoes. The potatoes were fire, and the salad was solid. But again, the meat missed the mark--super dry for the most part. We tried dipping it in the sabayon and other sauces to add moisture, but it didn't help. The fish sauce glaze didn't come through either. The only redeeming quality was the generous portion size.
