My husband had bangers and mash and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the Peking duck sausage it was amazing. This was a great place for a casual well priced dinner. I will return when I visit Bend again.

We had the bangers and mash with a chicken basil brat and the elk and cheese brat, both hit the spot! Server even suggested waiting a few minutes to order to hit happy hour pricing! Cozy and clean! Definitely recommend!

Wow. This place is worth all of the 5-star reviews. How this place works is your pick a sausage, two toppings and one sauce. They have recommended combos or you can make your own. We ordered a bratwurst with sweet peppers, caramlized onions and chimichurri sauce. We also ordered a banger (sweeter sausage) with caramelized onion, sweet peppers and cream cheese sauce. Both combos were absolutely delicious. We loved the banger sausage over the brat. The caramelized onion and sweet pepper added really good flavor. Both sauces were equally delicious.

Reindeer sausage banger or maybe a burnt end banger? How about an alligator banger or maybe a simple chicken and basil sausage banger. Next...add toppings. Soooo many toppings. Grilled onions? Maybe some tomatoes? How about peppers?...

tomatoes? How about peppers? Next, add a sauce. Garlic aioli, chimmichuri, mustard, ketchup, cheese? Ohhh...I forgot about starters. Poutine fries to start. We didn't wait long and the waitress gave us chimmichuri and fresh bread to start. Then came the poutine fries. Amazing. French fries in a gravy sauce with grilled onions and melted cheese. Then the bangers came. I ordered the basil chicken with grilled onions, tomatoes with aioli sauce. Hot and fresh. Tasted amazing. The buns were so fresh and soft. I will never think bangers are boring again. This place was SUPER!

I ate Blitzen Yup the reindeer sausage was delicious. I chose caramelized onions, sweet peppers, and curry ketchup. Had some Mac n cheese and sweet potatoes fries. Yum.

There's a reason this place is a near 5 stars with well over 1k reviews. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the atmosphere, the beers, the food, and the service, this place hits them all out of the ballpark park - and with love.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ruben I think serves most of the food. He's an older gentleman and LOVES what he does. I asked him if he was the owner and he proclaimed that his son Marcelo (marcelito) is the owner. You can tell how proud he is of his son. It's awesome. I can't say too much because there are simply no words. You just gotta come here and experience it for yourself.

Came in today while I'm in town and there's a solid beer selection. I started with beer decided to get a dog and holy by far the best dog I've had. You can tell the bread is fresh baked daily because I've never been impressed by the bun of a dog until today. Owner also seems like a gem. This plays knows hospitality. As well it has a nice little quiet piece of nature surrounding it.

Hidden gem. We walked in for the first time, greeted with great recommendations and even better service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was cool, very welcoming and everyone was happy to recommend their favorites.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We noticed that there were Argentinian items on the menu and my boyfriend, who is Argentinian, was super excited to talk to them about it. They told us all about their story and the owner who is still working even into his 80's because he just loves what he does. It was interesting to see the incorporation of the culture into this type of food, and it was incredibly delicious too! They gave us some chimichurri with bread and the dulce de leche cheesecake! Which were both incredibly good. I had the chipotle mango sausage on top of mac n cheese with grilled onions, bacon, and a side of chimichurri and refused to leave anything on my plate. Mac and cheese was great, especially with the chimichurri and the chipotle mango was great spice level, it was a light spice. The choripan special was great too. My friends got some regular sausages on buns and those were well sized and topped for the price. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great for families. Dog friendly in the heated and enclosed patio area, too![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Huge menu selection if you're adventurous and looking to try something new, or just sticking to the classics. We would revisit and recommend to anyone looking to try something new.

Too many choices on the menu. Exotic meat section. Several sides to choose from. Mac n cheese, Gorgonzola fries, sweet potato fries and a garlic chicken dog were our choices this day. I've never had bangers and mash before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience here. First off, I have to agree with all the other reviews about the service here. the team members here were so incredibly friendly and helpful-- they answered any questions and also had good suggestions for what to order. My friend and I got the combo with 2 sausages (we got spicy italian and the banger), caramelized onions, pepperoncinis, and chimichurri sauce. Very tasty and filling!

I am a HUGE fan of Bangers and Brews - this is a family-run restaurant with Argentinian roots. Their food is great, lots of excellent beers and everyone there is extremely warm, friendly and engaging! Frankie and Reuben are especially great to meet and talk to! I especially love the burnt-end Brisket Banger and the Argentinian Lager was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They allow our dog to join - which is a bonus.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you haven't been, I highly recommend stopping in! Take home some Chimmichuri for home consumption..

Yes. This place. Hidden. Gem. Once in the Top 100 on Yelp and lemme tell ya, I know why. We just got into town and wanted to go somewhere warm, dog friendly, and not crazy overpriced. We looked at a number of the "go-to" spots and we're flabbergasted by the prices. Enter Bangers & Brews. Perfection. Off the main drag but not overpriced at all, and extremely cozy. The patio was enclosed and heated so we could chill with the doggo. The menu was outrageous! You could get an easy dog, a crazy dog, a dog on a side, or a board of dogs - and they have quite the array of dogs on offer! We got the wild boar, dog as well as the duck & cilantro dog, with a side of gorgonzola bacon fries, and loved everything.

Bangers & Brews - Westside (Bend). Reviewing the comments on Yelp, there isn't much to say that hasn't already been said. I agree, B&B could very well be the best gourmet sausage and sausage delivery system I have ever had. Certainly deserving of its' Number One place in Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat in the USA. We tried the Burnt End Brisket, Peking Duck, Wild Boar and Garlic, Spicy Wagyu, Elk and Cheddar sausages, but there are so many more waiting for us. Toppings and sauces were first class, and the Mac-N-Cheese, Skinny Fries and Sweet Potato Fries are worth the visit alone. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of room for groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great local beer selections. The service was excellent, friendly and accommodating. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Bend store is neat , clean, comfortable and welcoming[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The only negative, and it does not reflect on B&B, is parking in this neighborhood center sucks. Bangers & Brews - Westside (Bend) - Five very-well-deserved Stars, should really be more. [Hey Yelp, after a business has scored a seat in the USA Top 100, we really should give them a Sixth Star! Just saying.] You will see us there again, tomorrow!

Bangers and Brews really does merit 5 stars! The food and service were top-notch. We arrived just before happy hour and initially were disappointed that we ordered at the cash register at 6:01pm and could not receive the happy hour discount. Unprompted, our server brought a free bacon gorgonzola fries and bread/chimichurri appetizer since we missed the happy hour. Get the bacon gorgonzola fries, they were amazing! In and of itself a reason for a return visit. The beers were an interesting selection and reasonably priced with lots of local brews. The sausage and buns were also great with lots of interesting combinations. One of the owners came around and chatted with us. He was very authentic and took a lot of pride in their family-owned business, which cemented the 5 star rating. read more

We tried bangers & brew at the recommendation of our neighbor & I am sure glad we did. Great service - the owners gave great suggestions and were very personable. The food was amazing. I had the roasted boar & garlic brat with carmelized onions, jalapeños and garlic aioli. ... it was delish. My husband went the traditional route and enjoyed his bangers & mash. And the gorgonzola fries.... it was a little piece of heaven for my palette. We will definitely be coming again... worth the drive from Sisters for sure!! read more

Very tasty "unusual" sausages! I got the duck bacon sausage with cheddar, grilled onions, and curry ketchup with sweet potato fries and a Deschutes beer. Overall with tip it was about $21 so a little pricey but great service and great concept! read more

Decided to come here because Bend was our first stop on our road trip up to Portland. My bf and I wanted something quick and inexpensive so this place fit what we were looking for. When we got there the owner knew we weren't from around there so he explained the menu to us and told us what his favorite toppings were for the bangers. You get to pick which banger you want (there was a wide variety from different animals such as elk or veil), then you pick two toppings and a sauce. I got the banger, which was a regular one, with grilled onions, pepperoncini, and mayo chimichurri sauce. My bf got the polish with sauerkraut, grilled onions, and garlic aioli as the sauce. One bite into the hot dog and I was amazed at the flavors. The mayo chimichurri sauce was delicious and perfect as a sauce on a hotdog. My bf's choice was also delicious but since I'm not a fan of sauerkraut I liked mine better. We also ordered fries and dipped it in chimichurri sauce. The chimichurri sauce is homemade and was so good we bought two jars to go. One hot dog may not look like enough but once you eat it you'll be content. I definitely recommend coming here, all the staff were so kind and made us feel welcomed. read more

One of the best places to eat in town year round! The price is great for the quality of food you get I have yet to be disappointed with any aspect of this restuarant. The gentleman with the darker hair in his mid 40's (owner I think) is great. Tell him what you like/dont like and he makes the BEST combinations ever. He just seems to know what you like. The rest of the crew also have this skill. The older gentleman with the thick accent is probably one of the nicest guys I've met at a restaurant very friendly, appreciative, and he is always happy. They always have a good selection of local oregon beers, fountain drinks and glass bottled sodas. All around one of the best places to eat in bend, very welcoming regardless of if you are local or not! Give them a try for sure! read more

This place sums up all the reasons why we keep coming back to Bend! Craft beer, amazing food, and people that treat you like family :) The food was fantastic and they had the perfect assortment of local craft beer from Boneyard, Crux, Deschutes, etc. Never been here before? No problem. The menu is setup to direct you towards solid pairings of sausages, sauces, and toppings. So many intriguing choices too! However, if that wasn't enough... Ruben was there to solidify the experience! This man treats you like family and knows what you need before you even think to ask. Maybe I'm just used to less than personable service, but wifey and I were blown away. Customer service is pretty simple, but he went above and beyond! Dog friendly too! Offered to bring water for our little one even after the turd barked at him. Thank you Ruben, we'll be back! read more

I had the duck/bacon...OMG so awesome. The chimichurri sauce is to die for and grandpa is quite the character. The service is phenomenal and the restaurant is squeaky clean. Grandpa greets you at the door when you walk in and explains the menu to you. This is the place to go for your Fourth of July celebration. I see a lot of visits to this restaurant in my future and will definitely refer all my friends and family. read more

I am so excited for the changes that have been made and the new food trucks joining the absolutely fabulous El Sancho truck. As for the brews, Crux always has a selection of great IPAs, they also have some innovative brews, such as Bochi Bochi, a rice lager, and (though not often) make truly spectacular ambers and browns. (Just go inside to avoid the mayhem. lol!) It's sweet that they create a fun environment outside there. A suggestion maybe would be create a small section outside. that's a no kid table for sunshine and drinking too. ;) it looks like they're making good use of their space. I noticed many changes since the last visit. Looks like they have a party room you could rent, lots of fun well designed swag for purchase, ect. Given that there are a bunch of brewery restaurants within a few blocks, I would have expected more flavorful food and absolutely a better experience with the staff.

It's located in Bend, near the highway and many other restaurants and shops, perfect to add to a walk. It's the former spot of another brewery and has a similar feel with some changes. They have an event space with its own bar, and a pinball machine collection. They have bar, table, and outdoor seating too. The bartenders were funny and very welcoming. The beer is excellent and worth stopping for a few flights or pints. They also have an incredible deal for full pours on certain days. Prices super reasonable for the quality. If you're a beer fan, I highly recommend this brewery.

Good news…read more Bad news first is this: The Drake has been sold to new owners and TONIGHT, APRIL 12, WILL BE THE LAST DAY OF SERVICE at The Drake with the original owner and the current menu. So if you're hankering for the mac n cheese or shrimp n grits or veg burger or any of the menu items, after today they are history. I started eating at The Drake in their first week of business and had many, many, many meals there over the years but things change and so, it seems, has the popularity of The Drake. Now the good news. The new owners are a trio and one of them is also one of the owners of the inestimable Ken's Artisan Pizza in Portland that opened its' Bend location last year. (Go! Even if you have to stand in line for 45 minutes like I did.) The first news of this ownership change was that they would keep the name and current focus of The Drake. But local television news reports that after The Drake closes today it will be reimagined with a new name and design and menu. The opening for the new place is currently said to be Memorial Day weekend. I don't live in Bend anymore but there is still a family home there and so I visit on occasion and knowing a "Ken's" owner is involved in the new enterprise may make me brave the wicked-bad downtown parking to try this new place. In the meantime, I remember how fun and delicious it could be to eat at The Drake.

Boneyard is an old classic in the region, with some of their bigger releases contracted out to Deschutes for cans and distribution. The mala noodle was good on flavor (kudos for keeping the "ma" part intact) and probably the best part of the meal, but the rice noodle needs to be cooked 1-2 minutes less.

A bunch of us decided to gather here a few nights ago since it gets such great reviews. I have to admit I was expecting a lot more.... Basically, you're looking at (on the low end) a fast food joint or (on the high end) a pretty standard bar that serves sausage. Either way, I was a bit surprised. But OK, we're here, let's have some great beer and sausage.... We ordered quite a few different things so everyone could try several things. sausages-pretty standard fare. interesting to read about but very little difference in tastes fries-interesting options but one out of two were delivered to the table lukewarm beer-reasonable selection but one was skunky and one wasn't cold wine-not bad service-hit or miss. the girl behind the counter could have cared less to assist us and wasn't much help with explanations. the delivery girl was more helpful but still not interested in assisting us. In fact, it appears from those reviews and mine that the flaws occurred at your end. Again, that does not equate to Hatefulness; in my case, it was simply accurate reporting. What's sad to me is that instead of learning from this (hopefully) rare occasion, you decide to try and shame me by spinning your tale as if I were the culprit. If I could give 10 stars I would! We came across this place from reading Yelp reviews while we were in Bend for a weekend ski trip. We had just come off the mountain so we had worked up an appetite and we are SO happy we stopped in to give it a try! A nice cold beer and delicious sausage really hit the spot! Oh- and the chili cheese fries!!!! We might have ordered too much food. Ha! But everything we tried was delicious. They had really unique options- my husband (who's admittedly more adventurous when it comes to food) had the lamb sausage with chimichurri and caramelized onions that he loved. I had a more simple IPA brat with cheese, tomatoes and spicy mustard which was also delicious. Good beer selection. But the thing that really put this place over the top as far as a full dining experience goes was the service! The owners and staff were outstanding and SO friendly. They gave great recommendations and we enjoyed their company very much. In a world where customer service seems to be a lost cause, it was refreshing to be somewhere where it was a focal point! They made us feel like family! We will definitely be back next time we are in the area!! read more

wow, with all the great reviews, I could hardly wait. love me some wurst! friendly welcome, nice start. some great beers on tap, so far so good. outside seating was a picnic table but that seemed appropriate for sausage. ordered a mixed platter with 5 brats and accompaniments, that was a fun surprise. got the order only to find that 4 of the 5 were heavily overcooked. do they just have them on rotating hot dog machine like at a 7-11? and then when I mentioned it to our server, I was told 'that's how they are supposed to be!" not really the answer I had hoped for. moving on, some interesting choices with the fries. had high hopes for those as well. went with the gorgonzola fries. lots of topping, but unfortunately, the fries weren't hot. man, that really is important to me...I hate fries that aren't hot. so after spending what I felt was a fairly high price for a sausage dinner, it turned out that none of it was really that great. quite the disappointment. suppose I should give them another try but I'm hesitant.... read more

Nice that an owner interacts directly with his customers but I thought words described my review pretty well! However, I don't think I like your attitude. Sure, it was not a great review, but just because you didn't like it, doesn't make it any less real. We had a very un-stellar visit and it was not our fault; it was the business that failed us. Reviews? Out of 16, the majority is 4 to 5 with only 2 reviews being 1-star. I guess I'm not surprised that you allude your poor performance to a vague indication that I'm not real. Nice try to redirect the attention away from your mistakes. That's seems to fit the bill for your company. I thought I was done interacting with B&B, but after this, I'm now going to go out of my way to inform people I know of my experience there and now. read more

Yum yum yum. I ordered small chili cheese fries AND the bacon gorgonzola fries because I couldn't decide between the two. I can't imagine how big the portion is on the regular because the small was a generous size. (If I had to choose 1 next time it would be the Gorgonzola, but both were good). The Hubby ordered the reindeer brat. The service at this place is the best I've ever had. Staff somehow knew we were newbies and gave us the run down right away. Brought us our beverages as soon as we sat down (highly recommend the blood orange cider) and came by checked on us and chit chatted regularly. Hubby enjoyed the brat. Highly recommend! We're only passing through, but if we are in the area again this is a must visit! Thanks for the awesome food! read more

I don't understand. This place has such great reviews. When I went there, I found a very standard bar/pub food restaurant (?). Now, I like sausage so nothing against that and the sausages we ordered came from an interesting selection. Unfortunately, they were overcooked and dry. I mean, it's not that hard to cook sausage, is it? Pricey for what you receive so I think I must be missing something. There was chimichurri with some (also dry) bread. Pretty much the worst chimi I've had. Again, this is not going so well. The grand finale? Fries with Gorgonzola. Personally, I think it was a bad decision to combine those two but a lot of people in the reviews seem to like it. However, I am not one. I don't think I will return. read more

I don't get it. This place gets amazing reviews so I went to see what all the fuss was about. They pretty much sell sausages of many varieties and beer. While a good sausage is lovely, these weren't. As mentioned, quite a few interesting choices so we did try several but they were all overcooked. How does that happen? Thought the fries might be better so we ordered a big ole tray of them with gorgonzola. Nope, not only do I feel that fries and gorgonzola are a mistake but they were poor quality fries. Can't fix that. As for beer, well yes, it is offered but at that point, we'd pretty much had enough disappointments. I suppose I caught them on an off day but I'm not sure how it could get a whole lot better. read more

Just like voting, you can't complain unless you're involved. I don't normally do reviews but I signed up for Yelp explicitly to mention what a horrible restaurant this is. Overpriced and overcooked sausage, lousy fries and pretty unimpressive service. It's a jumped up sausage truck that was, simply put, a bad decision on our part to visit. I've since read some rave reviews and don't understand what those people did to have such a great experience.....I am simply at a loss of words. That's OK, I'll speak with my wallet and never go back. There are so many places in Bend that HAVE good food, service and drink that I'll visit instead. I love this place! I never used to like sausage, always hot dogs. But I absolutely adore this food. It melts in your mouth! I'd recommend this to anyone!!!!! They have beer floats, and root beer floats that are to die for! I'm so proud to have tried this restaurant I really am! I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to give this place a try! I think this is my first negative review in Bend. Boy, was I excited about this place. I love snaggers and mustard and they have a Lot of choices here. Our evening though started off badly with the server unhappy about something and letting us know thoroughly about it. That's OK, let's get to the food. Uh oh. No matter how many flavors you offer, if they are overcooked, it doesn't really matter. One of the group ordered the fries with Gorgonzola. Sadly not what I was hoping for. It was a bit chaotic when I arrived but sometimes that indicates a great and busy place. Unfortunately, not true here. Ordered the elk and pork, the venison and rabbit, the spicy Italian, and the smoked apple-veggie. Elk was almost tasteless, venison the same and overcooked. The spicy Italian was a little spicy but nothing exceptional. And the apple-veggie...well, I spit out my first bite. This place is by far one of the best casual dining restaurants in Bend. Besides the staff being super friendly and the urban/casual feel of the environment, the food is phenomenal. As the name of the restaurant suggests, it's menu consists of mostly Italian sausage style meals. But not just your typical 'Costco style' polish dog. These mean dogs consist of ingredients such as alligator, wild bore, duck and rabbit. Seriously, give this place a try. And make sure to try there bacon/gorgonzola french fries as an appetizer. I don't get it. How can dry sausages, lame fries and bad service continue to stay in business? The sides that come with each sausage gave me hope but they were such small portions and frankly, not very tasty. My experience here was not very good. Maybe because I was a single diner and didn't get the full experience? I don't know. A lot of people seem to have had a much better time than me so maybe it was just an off day. It's certainly conveniently located but I can't see why I would ever go back. Sorry, but this place isn't for me. read more

Thought I was being so smart to recommend that our group head over to B&B for a bite. Wrong! First off, the place seemed dirty to me, not filthy mind you, just in need of a sweep, particularly in the bathroom. Then, when we got the menus sorted out and went up to order, the server was rude. But hey, this is just a sausage place, nothing fancy, so I shouldn't have expected great service. But then the food arrived. One order was wrong, one order was awful and one was late. Went in here a few nights ago with my girlfriend. Let's just say I wasn't happy. First, the place had an odd smell. Sausage cooking should have overruled it but there was a distinct funkiness that set us off. Next problem was the food. The sausages were not juicy at all, the side dishes were Very small and the bread that came with the chimichurri as a starter was dry, almost stale. Came in with a friend the other night. It was our first and probably last time. Our server was having a problem with something or someone and we got to hear about it. Once the food came, it wasn't very good. There Were a lot of great sounding selections, it's just that ours weren't. In fact, they weren't juicy and hot at all. And a table over was having some smothered fries and liked them so we ordered some as well. Did not enjoy them so I guess that's that. read more

If you want to spend nine dollars on a hotdog, be my guest. So overpriced and lackluster food. The owner will try and sell you on overpriced sausages. Beware! I won't pay nine to $10 for a general hotdog. Don't listen to the yuppie reviews. Much love to you too owner.! When we went in, all started well. Good smells and nice folks. Ordered a variety from the extensive selection of sausages and sides. When the food came, several of the 'bangers' were very dry. None of them were as exciting tasting as they sounded on the menu. And the sides were tiny amounts. On top of that, the chimichurri we ordered to begin was waaaay too garlicky for human consumption. I had the special squash soup of the day, and it ended up being one of the most memorable meals of my trip. Prices are reasonable for the quality, highly recommended.

Besides the amazing service, the food was absolutely incredible. We ordered the bruschetta, the eggplant, and the cauliflower as starters, and split a salad. Everything was great, and it was hard to decide what was best. In fact, one friend said the bruschetta was her favorite, another said the cauliflower was her favorite, and I said the eggplant was my favorite. But all of them were great! Besides all of this, the atmosphere is artistic and peaceful. I wish this was closer to where I live! I can't wait to return.
