I had been craving bánh cuốn for some time, and decided to stop in since I was in the area. Service was typical of old school, mom and pop Vietnamese places - quick and to the point. I had the #1 which was the Bánh Cuốn Tây Hồ Đặc Biệt. It has a little bit of everything. My food was delicious. I also took the #10 to-go. When you're done, you pay at the counter.
I've been coming here with my parents ever since I was a child an I swear, the food gets better and better as the years go on. The banh uot is made fresh and comes out so supple and bouncy. I ordered the bánh ướt cuốn thịt nướng and asked for extra meat to hit my protein goals. It also comes with vietnamese meatloaf (chả lụa) and shredded pork (bì). The wait staff are polite and do expect your meal to come out instantly.
Decent banh cuon and banh xeo. They also have everything else too like all the noodle soups. If I was around I'd stop by again but tbh there are a lot of better places. I've been here a couple of times and it's great but amongst a saturated little Saigon, it has fierce competition. Banh Xeo: Get Not too thick and pretty crispy. Put a lot of herbs and nuoc mami and its gooooood Banh Cuon: Get I got the #1 special combo (banh cuon dac biet tay ho) which includes a little bit of everything but the banh uot was just okay. I would have preferred to get just the banh cuon and the crunchies Price was decent, not too expensive, not that cheap. Parking was easy and there wasn't a wait when I went for lunch Food: 7/10 Service: 6/10 Atmosphere: 7/10 Value: 7/10
The place is clean and welcoming. The lady who took our order was very accommodating and speaks English really well so she was able to help me order. The prices are affordable and the food is delicious. I will come back here again.
Been craving Banh Cuon for so long and finally got my satisfaction. Came here for lunch during a Saturday and was seated right away. It was busy but still had tables to dine. Had the Banh Cuon Dac Biet, and it was perfect and delicious. The price was fantastic too.
Came here for lunch with the family. They were quite busy, so we had a short wait for a party of 3. Usually when they are less busy, the food comes out fast. It was a bit of a lag this time, but it was understandable. Their nuoc mam is a little sweet but we asked for some lime which helped. I got the version with the thit nuong and it comes in 4 rolls. It is a good portion and the meat was tasty as well, without being too fatty. Overall, a good experience and will be back when I crave banh cuon again.
I've been to Banh Cuon Tay Ho a few times. The bánh cuốn and bánh ướt are good -- tasty and not greasy. However, I personally prefer the hủ tiếu Nam Vang more. The soup broth is rich and full of traditional Vietnamese flavor, which I really love. The meat and shrimp are very juicy and fresh. The staff are friendly, sweet, and quick. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and airy. Parking is easy to find. Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Parking: 5/5
FOOD ^.^: Ordered take out. Came in a cute orange box. All the makings inside were crispy and fresh. I recommend using half of the sauce on the veggies and the rest to dip crisps. Using the rice paper to wrap everything up was so good and the fried shallots was a nice touch. Everything in this box was so delicious.
My mother and I come here for lunch when I crave Banh Cuon. It is not a big place and is located in back of building right next door to the Westminster Asian Mall. The parking is very limited with only 2 or 3 spaces marked for the restaurant. Other spaces belong to other businesses on the strip. There is parking in back or in near by street parking. The dining room is not very big but we always come and get a table. It is clean, well lit and cozy place. The service is good. The Bahn Cuon Tay Ho is delicious. The table have a big bottle of fish sauce for limited uses. I like alot of sauce with my banh cuon. I'm craving it now as I write this. They have Bun Bo hue too but I have not tried. I highly recommend.
I think I found my new banh cuon spot! The banh cuon dish ($13.25) portion looks quite small but is really filling. I like the rolled over the flat version. The shrimp tempura was so crisp and not greasy at all!

The way you eat it--wrapping the crispy shrimp in lettuce--creates the ultimate combination of textures and flavors. The portion size is incredibly generous, easily enough to feed 3-4 people. My girlfriend and I even had leftovers! For just $13.00, this might be some of the best shrimp tempura you'll find. 10/10 Pork and Rice with Pickled Vegetables This dish reminded me of a traditional com suon nuong, a Vietnamese grilled pork chop served with rice. While I usually enjoy bold flavors with additions like egg rolls and steamed egg, this version was delicious in its simplicity. The pork chop was savory, perfectly crisp on the outside, and tender on the inside--a melt-in-your-mouth delight. The pickled vegetables added a refreshing tang, making the dish feel both traditional and satisfying. 9/10 Banh Cuon (Rice Rolls) The banh cuon stole the show! This dish features delicate rice rolls stuffed with meat, paired with bean sprouts and Vietnamese meatloaf. The combination was nothing short of perfection, especially when paired with the fresh lettuce from the tempura. Filling, flavorful, and downright delicious, this is some of the best banh cuon I've ever had. 10/10 Tip: They accept apple pay and cash :). You will definitely see me scrambling back to Westminister again for this!
Woke up craving for banh cuon on Sunday, so I stopped by one of my favorite spots and ordered a #7, rice crepe rolls with pork and mushroom... super yum! Great portions. Restaurant is huge so there is a lot of seating and the customer service is great. Parking isn't difficult either considering that it is a busy plaza.
With more and more restaurants closing, it's nice to know that certain good ones will hopefully remain. It's been a hot minute since I was down on Bolsa, and a fair number of restaurants have closed due to various reasons. If you are looking for good Vietnamese food, BCTH is a solid bet. Good food. Ample parking. Good service. Can't go wrong.

My friend loves this place! He ordered the banh uot thit nuong for us which is a bbq pork roll. It was great! I love the contrasting texture between the rice roll and the bbq pork. Dip it in some fish sauce and hot sauce and you got yourself a winner! read more
Banh cuon is one of my favorite Vietnamese breakfast dishes, so this spot was a must-visit when I was in LA. The interior of the spot is casual and a bit small. Service was really fast. I got their banh cuon dac biet and my mom got their banh uot to-go. The rice rolls were warm, bouncy, and so yummy. They have a variety of different options for toppings, such as fried sweet potato, bi, cha, and more. However, it's all paired with beansprouts and other veggies + fish sauce. I had not been back here for a long time. Still same decor, setting, just new faces. Parking is great since it's in big complex mall area. Great service and the foods are still same old great taste. The portion is good and the price is very reasonable than other places for the same dish. Overall, great breakfast with VNese coffee. read more
It really doesn't get much better than this. Small, family-owned, no frills, quick service, and good FOOD! With upcoming trendy fusion spots, the authenticity of Vietnamese food can be lost. This is a very small shop next to Asian Garden Mall. Parking can be tricky but they have a few of their own spots next to the entrance of the restaurant. We ordered their classic banh cuon dish which came out in an extremely large portion for only $13-14. I had to share the dish. Their nước mắm is also good. Located in a business strip. They have a shared parking lot. The parking lots are a bit small, but free. We were greeted and seated quickly. Service was fast and friendly. The tables have fish sauce in a jug container that you can pour into your dish as much as you want. They do have smaller bowls that you can pour the fish sauce into too. Overall, it was good tasting. I think the fish sauce was watered down a it to Americanize the flavor. I noticed they have reduced the size/food portions over the years I've stopped by. read more

Get the Banh Uot Thit Nuong! It's my go-to :) They're soft, thin rice crepes wrapped around savory grilled pork and veggies. Dip liberally into the nuoc mam (fish sauce) for the perfect bite! I love that each table has a giant pitcher of nuoc mam - I'd drink it if I could. Every time I visit, there's plenty of tables open, so we get seated immediately. The multilingual, friendly staff here happily provide recommendations and dish out food super fast. This is a great spot for a quick and casual meal! read more

I love banh cuon and this has been one of my favourite meals since arriving in LA, I've visited twice already! The banh cuon is fresh, had a delicate texture and good amount of filling inside. You have to order the shrimp tempura fritters as it is so delicious!! Decent portion sizes and super affordable too. The service is efficient with casual ambiance. read more

This is the place where I was first introduced to Banh Cuon. The food is consistently good, it's never deviated and I'm always pleased with my dish. Same with the service, they've always been quick, efficient, and friendly. The ambiance is that of a family owned restaurant, plenty of seating, and it's nice and clean. read more

Tay Ho is my go-to for Banh cuon, specifically this location. Can't go wrong with their #1 dac biet. What I love about Tay Ho is their sweet potato fritter. Other places typically don't have this or the taste just isn't there. Parking is a hit or miss depending on the day. Service is decent for an Asian restaurant. It does take a while for the dishes to come out but you can tell it's fresh. They also started playing acoustic music and I'm all for it! Side note: they sell Banh cuon by the pound. As of October 2023, the plain sheets were $6.50 per pound, which is a little bit more expensive than other places in the area. I was expecting it to be cheaper for some reason. Cha lua is $7.50 each. read more

Banh cuon are great, banh xeo are the best, very crunchy! The friend sweet potatoes and shrimps are the worst thing that I have ever tried in my life. The are greasy, no taste and absolutely not crunchy(waiter said they were crunchy). Little restroom is located in kitchen. Waiters do not care about customers read more
BOMB! The best Banh cuon I have ever tried. When I say you haven't had a good Banh cuon until you tried their #1 special I mean it. My husband also agrees and he's had his fair share of trying Banh cuon at many places They have the best shrimp potato fritter A MUST! They also have vegetarian option!!! With a green bean or mung bean fritter. I also tried their bun Bo hue it was delicious not the best BBH but still good! I like how they have multiple options here not just Banh cuon. They have really amazing customer service too I didn't love my salty plum lemonade drink because it was way tooo sweet and they fixed it for me. However I still prefer the simple lemonade you can taste the sourness a bit more. I couldn't taste the lemon in mine at all . But I will definitely be back for more Banh cuon and I'll be bringing my friends and family xx. read more

such a classic viet dish at an amazing price! my parents have been bringing me here for years and the quality has not changed. located next to Phuoc Lo Tho, parking is very minimal but we always get lucky with the couple spots in the lot. we always get the #1 dac biet, portions are huge and so fresh and delicious, also such a huge fan of the crispy sweet potato fritters here. the restaurant seemed pretty full on a Sunday evening but service is super quick (got our order in 5 min) so people shuffle in and out pretty frequently. staff here are always friendly and helpful, highly recommend this resource for your banh cuon cravings! read more
