    Raw marinated crab
    Jenny S.

Went to bapdoduk and got their raw marinated crab. Got the special of raw marinated crab and soy bean soup. The marinated crab was so good! Perfectly sweet and salty and not crabby at all! I'm very very picky with my raw marinated crab and this is delicious. Tried multiple places in Los Angeles and from hmart and this place is the best

This is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. But if I ever want to have authentic Korean food, this is my go-to place. I believe they got a new owner not too long ago, and he has been working very hard. He is very friendly and helpful to his customers.

All of the food was so tasty! Highly recommend! The pork cutlet was fried to a nice crisp. The marinated raw shrimp and crabs were to die for as well!

Mom and pop place with awesome marinated raw crab! And the soup blew my mind. I would drive 2 hours to eat this meal again anytime. Cozy spot with superb authentic Korean foods.

If you're looking for some soy marinated crab, then bap do duk is the place to go! The soy marinated crab is just so fresh and so delicious. Savory and slightly sweet with a bit of a kick! Additionally, the jaeyuk bokkum (stir fried pork) was also delicious with a slight kick. A house favorite is any of the braised fish dishes. The sauce was just so yummy that I couldn't stop! Get there early before prime time because it's a small restaurant but also super busy. You won't regret it!

The Pork Rice in the stone pot was my absolute favorite dish we tried here, but seriously everything was solid. Every dish felt so homey and made with love and care. The flavors were on point and everything came out super hot and fresh. The raw marinated crab was solid as well with the soy sauce. Definitely want to come back soon if I'm ever in the area again!!

2 crabs, 4 fish and bean paste stew combo

Great spot to try the raw marinated crab! It gets quite packed inside since there aren't many tables. The combo with the 2 crabs, 4 fish and bean paste soup was a lot of food and good for two people. The crab was fresh and I didn't have any sand in mine. The fish was also fried very well! However, all the dishes were too salty for my taste, even with lots of water and some rice. Would still recommend this spot if you wantex to try the crab dish!

Came here for lunch and it was good! My friends got the marinated crabs which they thought was delicious. It definitely is on the pricey end though. For 2 people, they shared the #7 and #43 and they were stuffed. This place is also known for their hot pot dish. I got the #48 spicy stir fried pork in a hot pot and it was delicious. The portion is good and the taste was yummy. I will say if you're not Korean, it might be difficult to order or understand. But if you're looking for authentic Korean food, check it out!

Hands down the best soy marinated raw crabs in the east coast for the best price! Came here for dinner while visiting Jersey/NYC. There were limited street parking available nearby, but I got lucky and was able to snag a spot right after the meters ended. We got the combo which comes with 2 crabs and the stew. When the crab came out, I was so impressed at how clean and fresh it looked. The crab meat was sweet and the soy sauce marinade was savory and sweet. The best part of it was the crab roe that came with it. I put my rice in the crab shell and mixed with the sauce. Oh my it was sooo good. The stew was a bit chunky with soybean paste still in chunks. Nevertheless, it was still good. The waitress was very friendly and welcoming. I will come back again. I love palisades park NJ.

First time having ganjang gejang and it was delicious and fun! I have been seeing videos about places and korea so was excited to try. Raw marinated crab in soy sauce is the signature dish along with their seafood/fish soups. This place was packed and they don't take reservations. For a first experience they offer a combo of 4 crabs, doenjang jigae and rice for $40. The crabs were a little smaller than I wanted with little roe but still plenty for two of us! It is a gooey soft texture and goes very well with rice. We also ordered the octopus rice pot which was very tasty and not too salty too. I recommend this place for the price, food offerings as a place to check out. I really liked the crab and it was fun to eat with gloves and rice.

3 things about this place: 1. Although there are numerous Korean restaurants in NJ, this place was a great little restaurant with good Korean food selections and excellent lunch special options. Staff was extremely friendly and gave me and my sister a great experience. 2. Great quality of foods and quantity was amazing. Ordered soy sauce marinated crabs, cabbage hangover soup, and kimchi + roe stone pot bibimbap. Soy sauce marinated crabs weren't salty at all which was a huge plus. Many places have their soy sauced crabs salty but this place did an excellent job. 3. The crabs were a little small and was expecting medium sized crabs but looked like small sized crabs. Kimchi + roe stone pot bibimbap was heavy on kimchi where I couldn't taste anything but kimchi which was a little disappointing. Overall, great food and would recommend this place to people looking for traditional Korean foods but idk if I would order the kimchi + roe stone pot bibimbap. Would definitely be back to try different items on the menu.

After having very heavy meals in NJ, we wanted something light and more homey so we decided to check out Bap Do Duk, which apparently is known to have the best soy marinated raw crabs in NJ. We went on an early dinner time and we were able to be sat right away. The place is pretty small, so it may be busier. It feels like your typical old-school Korean restaurant; nice older Korean ladies serving you and a menu of Korean traditional dishes. We opted to get the soy marinated crab doduk bapsang, which also comes with soybean paste stew. We also got an order of the jju-sam which is marinated small octopus and pork belly. Our food came out relatively quickly, and I was so delighted to see raw marinated crabs. It's really hard to find places anywhere in America that do these dishes well, but they looked so plump and flavorful. We dug in right away and I was pleased that it tasted absolutely phenomenal! It truly is a rice thief because these things are just to die for when paired with rice. I can't underhype the jju-sam either because there was plenty of meat and seafood in the dish and it was marinated/cooked to perfection. We had an absolutely delightful meal here and I felt like I was eating at my grandmother's home. The servers took really good care of us and I cannot wait to be back!

    YUM!!!

The soy marinated crabs are everything!!! I got the combo and the soy bean soup was amazing as well! Will definitely come back here every time I'm in NJ!

Ordered three things: 1) marinated crabs, small size (5/5). Always a must-get here. 2) ddukbaegi bulgogi (4.5/5) - Thinly sliced prime marinated beef ribeye casserole with rice cake and glass noodle and mushroom served in a sizzling hot pot. Really flavorful and so good to have on a cold day. 3) ahjae ppyo jjim (4.5/5) - Braised prime beef meat bones in soy reduction with carrots, radish, dates, chestnut, rice cake and glass noodles. We got non-spicy. It came in a HUGE bowl. Definitely meant to be shared with a group. Took leftovers home and it was still yummy the next day mixed with knife-cut noodles I had at home.

You get a lot of food and the food is delicious and the meat is high quality. The service is always fantastic. We had a big party and were seated right away on a weekend. But if you want to gauge price a little, we went with 4 adults, 3 kids and ordered japchae (glass noodles), kimchi pajeon (pancake), 2 bottles of soju, drinks, a meat set that came with soup, 2 types of pork and 2 types of beef and it came out to about $350, tip included. If you're on the fence about coming, definitely come.

Ooooh, it's been awhile since my last review…read more After 4 years, I still love Wooga but those "$$$$" on the their Yelp page keeps me from eating here more often. This time around, it's a stronger 5 out of 5 because of our waiter was amazing. Ugh, I can't remember his name. He was on top of everything and making sure our food was grilled in a timely manner. He was quick to follow up with orders/requests that didn't come through when the kitchen didn't bring them out. Usually my gripe or disclaimer I give to people is that Wooga is great at everything except wrapping up things on the end. In the past, whenever I went, it would take forever (!!!!!) to get our check and pay. It was so frustrating but this time around, it was a bit faster. It's a win-win situation because we get to pay and leave and the restaurant has another table for customers. Though on the pricier side, Wooga does check off all the boxes of: -amazing meat quality -amazing & attentive service -they don't skimp on banchans (side dishes that I heard other restaurants are starting to limit) -several meat combo options -best Korean steamed egg in the North Jersey area We tried the thinly sliced oxtails, which were really good but pretty pricey for $38cash/$39.90card for 11oz of it. There are some things that are inconvenient (long waits, very small parking lot) but it's easy to overlook them once you have a meal at Wooga. Things to know before you go: -Their menu is updated on their website if you want to check that out before you go. -The earlier you go, the better your chance of being seated quickly. Weekends are definitely a longer wait, so plan ahead. -Their parking lot is small so it fills up super quickly, so you'll have to park across the street and play Frogger (maybe you might be too young to know this reference?) to cross the 4 lanes of Palisade Ave. -When you arrive, make sure to check in with the host/hostess so that you could get a pager to know when your table is ready. Your turn can come pretty fast sometimes depending on the timing.

We decided on this place because rating was pretty good and was open late. It's located in a plaza with Korean market, liquor store, cafe and such. Large parking area available in the plaza. Inside is small but clean and gives off traditional Korean restaurant vibe with of course Korean music. There were quite few Korean customers as well as staffs so i knew we were in the right place. They specialize in Korean beef soup. We ordered rice cake and dumplings and special beef rib soup. The fish came with purple rice and various kimchi and pickled veggies side dishes. They also serve korean hot tea along side the dishes. My special beef rib soup was very light and clear but full of beef flavor. Little touch with salt and pepper with pickled veggies and rice paired with very well. The meats were very tender and flavorful as well. Portion is quite large and i was not able to finish my bowl although i did help with another bowl of rice from my partner. My partner got the rice cake and dumplings beef soup. This one was a but lighter and needed more salt flavoring but also good. She liked her's better as she doesn't like heavier and fattier meat/broth. Salt and peppers are provided to adjust your seasoning as needed. Even though they could not finish the dishes i throughly enjoyed the food. What i like about Korean dishes is that even some are heavy and fatty they include lots of vegetables and healthy ingredients which makes it feel like you had a healthy meal and lots of nutrients despite eating out. Service was minimal but adequate. Overall it was very good authentic Korean restaurant that offers solid Korean beef soup.
