Tried the food yesturday and was happy enough to come back. The rice bowl had too much rice and not enough hot dog so I didn't get it again. But because it was tasty I gave them a second shot today. I was greeted by Bee, and holy smokes the service was out of this world. She was busy when I came in but she greeted me, and saw me at the end of the bar and I thought I would feel invisible but I was seen, she was happy and after I ordered and waited for my food to go, she still was hospitable and offered a water. I was expecting staff to just be nuetral and not offer a water. I think bee's attitude and smile was infectious and this added to the vibe and makes me want to continue to come back. read more

This started off as our go to spot to watch the games as we live just a few blocks away but now it's our go to if we have nothing to do spot. They have multiple TVs inside and out. If you are going to watch the game, go early if you want to sit inside. On non major game nights, the place is really casual and chill. The bartenders are all really nice and personable there. Super welcoming! The drinks are strong but good. The they have a good selections of beers as well. The food is really good for bar food. The Salads, Chicken Tenders and Rice bowls are really good. I came here on a weekend morning for brunch/lunch. My partner wanted a place where they can watch the football game so this place had TVs and were playing the game. It was pretty packed when I arrived, we sat outside. For larger parties, you would need to push tables and find chairs to sit lots of people. As for service, I think the waitress does their best to check in on us and everything. Overall, I think I was pretty satisfied with the service. I ordered the quesataco and I think someone ordered their loaded fries. I really liked the quesatacos, it was pretty good. I would definitely recommend it. They only have one bathroom and for some odd reason, every time I had to use it, someone's always in it. Obviously, this is out of everyone's control but I had to go pretty badly and once I got there, it was always locked and I felt like I waited a lifetime to use it. If you sit outside, you definitely will be greeted by lots of dogs walking by and it's a dog friendly outside patio so you may even be seated next to a furry fella. read more

Stopped in for some drinks and a quick bite. We had the sliders, and a sausage. The sliders were very small, and only came with 2 of them for $9. While they tasted good, the portion wasn't enough to fill up a child. The sausage was alright. The service was mid, we sat down and we were greeted by the server then about 5-10 minutes went by where he would walk by look at us and walk away without coming up. While taking our order, I accidentally said the wrong protein choice and within 15 seconds realized but the server had let me know he already sent it to the kitchen, which was interesting, being that it had been 15 seconds since he took my order and hadn't even asked about my side yet. He said he would let the kitchen know to change it. The food came out and he had not keg the kitchen know to change it. Went to have lunch here while our daughter was shopping after visiting colleges. My husband wanted to watch the Masters and they had it playing. Sat inside with my husband and son. We ordered drinks and food and my husband was the only one to get a beer. The waitress asked us upfront for a credit card which was strange because she didn't ask if we want to start a tab. My husband being the easy going person he is just gave it to her without question because he just wanted to relax. Well now I'm observing everything. A couple sat down next to us and were helped by a different waitress. All they ordered was drinks from the bar and that waitress didn't ask them to start a tab or ask them for a credit card up front. Another group came in and watched the waitress who helped up first go over to them and she didn't ask them for a credit card and they had a larger group. Im so glad another waitress was helping her wait tables because I was just so bothered by this. It doesn't look good when you pick and choose who you want a credit card from upfront. They should all be following the same rule or policy so it doesn't look like you're treating others differently. It's sad because it changed the whole mood for me especially which ruined the time my husband was enjoying with his son watching the Masters on TV. read more

Awesome bar and delicious food here at Bar One! I've came here a few times when in the area of Downtown/Little Italy. It has nice vibes, an open and airy bar set-up perfect for breezes, and TV's for catching sports. The food I've had here has been fantastic and good pricing. I came here in the afternoon and there was maybe 4-5 people, and they appeared to be slow. I tasted a couple beers on draft, and went wIth the Peroni. I sat out side reading a book and enjoyed the cold beer. I came back in after I drank my beer and ordered some food to go. I ordered the fried ravioli, and omg they were delicious. The breading was good and the cheese was nicely melted. The lime green sauce was perfect and complimented them nicely. It came with marinara, but the lime cilantro dip was amazing. So why the 3 stars, well the service was non existent, the food was overpriced for the quality, and i paid $13 for their tator tots that not even my dogs wanted. The tator tots were overpriced for garbage. They were undercooked, oily, and mush at the bottom. The bacon they decided to use was so badly burnt, there was no flavor whatsoever only burnt, oily, crispy, crumbs that had no flavor. The sour cream and cheese was barely sprinkled on top but wasn't nearly enough to mask the charred bacon taste. I just wasn't impressed and don't see coming back. read more

We needed to find a place that was showing the KC - Miami football game since the NFL foolishly put it on Peacock. We called Bar One and they were going to have it. We got there early, which I'm glad we did. They were already busy but we were able to get the last table in the place. Multiple TVs, great energy, and we even shared our table with a couple from Santa Ana who needed a place to sit. We had a great time. We went back the next day to watch the Cowboys lose yet another playoff game. Lots of craft brew on tap. Really good food. My wife and I like to share things when we go out. Over the two visits we had Fried Ravioli (and a side of crostini to sop up the extra sauce), Pretzel Bites, Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl (both times), and the Cheesesteak. Clearly our favorite was the rice bowl. The service was great at both the table and the bar. There is outdoor seating with heaters for cold nights. Highly recommend. read more

YUMMY FOOD Escaping the heat seems to be the theme for the weekend. What better way than to be in an air conditioned place with good eats. After watching some of the Stickball Tournament in Little Italy it was time to escape the hot summer heat. ITALIAN PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY SHOT - I had to try this. It tasted like PB&J. Very interesting and tasty. Highly Recommend. CHEESE & MEAT BOARD - pickled vegetables, cheese, cured meats, and toastinis. They gave a lot of cured meats I wasn't able to finish, three wedges of cheese, and pickled green beans, peppers, and pepperchinis. I love pepperchinis but not the amount they put, they were spicy and overwhelming. It was still a good item to order and munch while watching sports. Recommend. TRUFFLE CUP (hazelnut) - imagine a ball of vanilla ice cream covered with tiny crumbles of crunchy hazelnut. Sounds perfect when it's 97 degrees outside. Food, and drinks were fine, service was slow but there was two Monday night football games playing. Our bill came to 29 dollars, I used my credit card, and my boyfriend was tipping in cash. We left a 5 dollar bill and three 1 dollar coins totaling an 8 dollar tip. The waitress rolled her eyes about the coins, complained about getting tipped in quarters earlier, and told us she'll find a use for the coins. It's money you spend it like any other money.
