WOW! I had a great experience with OC Waxing. I'd highly recommend this place! New clients receive 50% off their service!! I was running late, and the front desk called me to easily reschedule my appointment to a later time. They were very accommodating and understanding. Upon arrival, I was offered wine, coffee, and tea. The waiting area, like the waxing rooms, was modern and squeaky clean. The waxing beds were also squishy and comfortable, unlike other salons that use stiff doctor examination beds - random observation. lol Rose was my esthetician, and she was lovely! I hadn't been waxed in months, but she made the procedure near painless and comfortable. For their Brazilian ($60), they even provide freshening wipes. She sent me on my way with a free exfoliating glove and sample of Care Serum. Tell 'em I sent ya for that referral bonus. ;) read more

Terrible experience - there was wax on the "sanitized bed" that stuck to me before my appointment even began, the wax was hot and despite my efforts to communicate that it was hot, I still left with burns, the room itself had a lamp that was broken and the waxer messed with it above my naked body for a good 10 min until she gave up and just knocked it a couple of times during my session (instead of just switching rooms). There's still hair after my wax + I had so much leftover wax left on my body (even in places I didn't get a wax) because the waxer was letting the wax drag leaving what she called "cob webs" everywhere. I had to book with Lauren since my usual waxer is on leave, and I had a bad experience. I feel Lauren needs more training and should not be allowed to wax. First and foremost, she didn't turn on the lamp for my Brazilian wax. I've been getting waxed at Bare Waxing for four years and have never had a waxer not use the lamp. Nonetheless, I didn't hold it against her & assumed that was her style. Then, she wiped me down and put an INSANE amount of powder on me. Which, once again, no one has ever done. She also applied copious amounts of wax at once instead of the usual strip. Once I was done, I noticed sparkles on the table cover. I thought to myself, no way??? There was glitter in her powder!!!!! Like?? Why is that necessary??!!! To top it off, I got home & was walking up the stairs and felt stickiness, only to find out that she left wax on my bottom half. I had to shower immediately and peel the rest of the wax off. She needs more training and shouldn't be waxing anyone. If someone is paying $84 for a wax, the quality of service should match the price tag. read more

This is my second time going to OC Wax, I guess you can say I'm still a new client! For my very first time I went to the Mission Viejo location - now that one was much harder to find than this one in Irvine! It really isn't that complicated, you do have to look for the sign, but come on! It's not like it's written in Japanese or anything. The only thing I was slightly disappointed in, was the fact when I came in, no one was there to greet me at the front desk. The funny thing is, the phone was ringing too. I think I waited about 2 minutes until the front desk lady showed up. The other teeny complaint I do have is that the prices aren't listed on their products. I bought the Care Serum & I had NO idea this was priced at $26! It's cool, I bought it, but still. Signs would be nice! This is only a minor issue, & isn't huge enough to where I wouldn't ever come back here again. But this place is SO clean, I love that. My service was a brazilian done by Cindy. She was great & quirky. Very quick, I think I was finished in about 20 mins. I never feel awkward here, the girls are so professional it feels normal to be laying there baring it all LOL. Came in here to check it out since I've been a loyal OC Wax customer at their MV & Costa Mesa location for several years. I wasn't disappointed. First off, let me get this outta the way: it can be hard to find. My phone actually too me to the parking lot of the neighboring USC medical building (which doesn't connect with OC's parking lot) which meant I had to kinda get my bearings before figuring out where to go. Also, the center it is located in is currently still under construction. This means they can't have signage up yet. Just know it's next to the Domino's. Hopefully they can get their sign up soon and it'll be much easier to spot. The inside is just like their other locations. Clean, warm and inviting. Felt smaller than their other locations, but that's fine. It helps make it homey. My waxer was Cindy and she was great. As with all employees, she was super friendly and it felt like we had known each other for years instead of the seconds it took to walk into her room. I was in to just test out a nose wax and she made me a believer! It was quick and surprisingly far less painful than I expected or than my usual services which was great! And even though they said to give it 15 minutes, I was in & out in maybe 5 minutes. Perfect! So if you live near this location and you're looking for a wax, look no further. You won't be going anywhere else after you do. read more

I've been waxing for 3 years and have been to 3 different wax studios, but this was easily the best waxing experience I've had based off of just one visit! The facility was super clean, aesthetic, and relaxing. I was given a drape and a wipe to freshen up upon entering the room.
