I have been a long time full Brazilian fan. This was my first time going to oc waxing. I had Saida as my wax specialist. She was absolutely amazing and great to talk to. I actually prefer here over European wax center. There aren't posters of models everywhere with cheesy quotes. I don't feel pressured or like every minute of a conversation is a sales pitch. Covid: They take your temperature upon entering, you must wear a mask, wax specialist wear a mask and a face shield, there is an online waiver you need to sign, checkout is done through your phone, and the entire place is extremely clean and well kept. I have been really busy...I sold a company, played golf, retired, un-retired, got divorced, dated, quit dating, started dating again...you know...the usual. More recently, I became affianced to my Beautiful Island Girl, Sharon. And boy howdy, are we having a nice life together !! She dances, smiles, laughs and brings so much joy to my existence! So it was with great enthusiasm that I responded with a resounding "YES" when she suggested that I get "waxed"! I assumed that it was just like getting one of my MercMW's "detailed"...you know, washed, polished, waxed...bright and shiny! My baby wanted me to be gorgeous for her...how could I say no! So I called OC Waxing and made an appointment for something called a "Euro"...I figured since my cars are all "Euro", that I knew exactly what was going to be done. I wasn't even close. My first clue should have been when my lovely and friendly technician, Saida, told me to undress from the waist down and lie on my back on the table. Saida was friendly and welcoming, as well as fun and funny! She was also very good at waxing! I felt the warm wax being applied to my undercarriage (or, to use medically accepted verbiage, my "business") and settled in to await the "buffing" to bring out my "shine". Then came the "rip"...the sound very much like the opening of the velcro at the top of my shopping bags...followed by a stinging sensation that I can only describe as "sting-like". That's when it hit me...waxing people is very, very, very, VERY different from waxing cars, and I shall be forever changed because of that! In the words of one eminent physician, Dr. Evil, it is truly "breathtaking" But I'm changed in a good way...I like it, Sharon loves it and I am scheduled for a month from now for another "detailing". I don't know even where to start. This is the review just right after I went to the waxing place in the morning today. Before I go to this place(oc waxing - irvine branch), I looked up all the reviews on yelp and google and booked the waxer who has good reviews, but this effort totally becames useless, because they are matching me with different waxer without any notice or apology. I didn't know before I started waxing but I asked her name while getting the waxing because she was very unkind and indifferent. 1. I asked her about something on the agreement paper before waxing because I misunderstood sth, but she was just staring at me and then gave me an unpleasant attitude like why don't you understand lol 2. She never tried to ask or check if I'm okay or anything.I'm kept mentioning wax is too hot almost 5-6times. But when she just kept waxing me in the silence when I almost begged for her to lower down temperature. I swear to god, my first time waxing is so much better than this. This is the worst painful waxing I ever had(ok, this is fine, maybe my fault which is she said I came back too late) Plus, my Brazilian waxing time was supposed to be 30min but she's just done with it within 10min or so. The last time, I visited here with a different waxer, she was slowing down and tried to pull the hair little by little(she asked me first if it's okay to take long but less painful). But this woman seems like just wanted to get it done as soon as possible. Additionally, I don't mind small talk but she never tried to make me feel comfortable. Just ignored my mumbling(hurt, or hot) and never even smiled. It was super uncomfortable and awkward. I never leave a bad review like this. If I have a bad experience with a restaurant or any other place, I just usually move on. but I had to leave a review because this is related to the body directly and this place seems to be not objectively rated on yelp. (Even one star is not worthy for today's experience) I don't want to call it out that waxer in here, but I was wondering if I met a different person because there are good recent reviews with her name a few days ago. I'm pretty shocked since she never gave me a warm/kind/sweet attitude like other people said. She just looked annoyed and bothered while doing waxing Hopefully, this review is helpful for other people and is a chance to get their service to be improved. and please make sure to check your waxer's name before getting the waxing in case they'll change your waxer without any notice. read more

Can I give this negative stars? This was the WORST experience of my life! 1st, I am in a wheelchair, that's difficult enough. I emailed & my mom called to say we need the table lowered, it wasn't lowered the girl said I'm tall, I can't lower it, with a major attitude! Really? You can't lower it for one client. The girl was in the 1st room on the right, didn't get her name, but she's tall. Then we we left, I was so embarrassed. My mom called the corporate office immediately and talked to Gabby she said she would have her supervisor call, no call back, we called again, still no call back, it's been over 2 weeks. I have never had this problem there before, I have been coming to this location and the Aliso Viejo location for six years, I miss Lexy and Kaitlyn. read more

I saw Keyleigh and she was so nice, listened to my every concern, was super detail-oriented, and it was the least painful wax experience I've ever had. I got a Brazilian and she didn't miss anything. I'm not one to leave reviews but after seeing the glowing reviews online, I wanted to give this place a try. Maybe it was just my waxer, but it seemed like she didn't want to be there, which is not that big of a deal. But she also didn't ask if I was okay/check-in with me at any point (yes I was fine, but clearly in pain). Then after she finished up and left the room... I found *so many* areas of thick wax residue left behind. I had to ask her to come back in and actually finish the wax. I'm pretty disappointed with this service. I'm usually skeptical of chain waxing/aesthetic businesses (prior experiences with incomplete, lower quality work), and this one seems to be no different. Saida was wonderful! It was my first time getting waxed ever and I was going for the full Monty... Brazilian and tush. We talked and joked and she explained everything and told me I was doing great. Fortunately for me, my hair is not very coarse and I don't have much of it so it came out pretty easily. She also told me the difference between a hard wax and a soft wax. I didn't know they were two different kinds. She said the hard wax is much easier to take... It kind of looks like silly putty. Mallory is exceptional! I adore her! Her technique was so good she never asked me to hold my skin taut nor did I need to flip over for the last step; yet she was so thorough she got every hair. I've been getting Brazilians for many years and I'd say her technique was one of the best I've encountered. Highly recommended! The room I was in had warm lighting which I appreciated. The vast majority of waxing establishments I've been to have very bright white lights in their rooms so this was a nice change. They do offer a small feminine wipe to use prior to the waxing. Online booking was straightforward and both payment and gratuity can be done with CC which is always convenient. The plaza can get very busy, so just be mindful of peak dining hours when thinking of finding parking. read more
