I'm new to the area, moved here from Chicago. I was looking for a good pizza place to make my go to pizza in AZ. I received a welcome to the neighborhood coupon in the mail from Barro's Pizza and thought I'd give it a try. The girl on the phone was so pleasant and welcomed me as a new customer, and when picking up, the manager named Jude came out and introduced himself. The hospitality was amazing, but the pizza was even better. It brings me back to a taste I can only get from home, and was absolutely amazing. This was a cool spot in Scottsdale to hang out as I met up with a sweet friend. I was so thankful that she helped me out, so I was able to get us dinner. Originally I was going to get us my other regular go to, but this place was closer to where she was dropping me off! We were glad we switched! Upon entering here, I already noticed there were plenty of tv's to watch even a hockey game that was on. The men's restroom here was clean as well as the inside and outside of the restaurant. The seating was a comfortable booth setting. Our server lady at the front counter was outstanding!!! For foods, we did a simple medium bbq chicken pizza and 12 honey bbq bone in wings. This was just the perfect amount of food for us as we got full and didn't have any leftovers! The chicken and bbq sauce was excellent on our well cooked pizza. Just the right amount of cheese on it as well. I enjoyed getting super messy with the wings as they are not stingy at all with the honey bbq sauce! We even had a 13th wing, but we didn't count lol !!! I am hoping my friend got the extra blessing wing cause I ended up eating 1 more extra pizza slice. We were both contently full. The wings were also served with a very good ranch dipping sauce! Great flavors together. We washed down all our food with water. I had strict water protocol for my stay. I'm always satisfied with Barro's, this location included. My most recent visit included a family dinner. We ordered two medium pepperoni pizzas, a small garden salad, and traditional wings. Barro's the pizza joint that's not only a pizza joint but a bar as well. Get cold beer and enjoy a hot slice. They have great selection of options on the menu sure to please just about everyone. The pizza is pretty great. I will say I really enjoyed the overall flavor and presentation of the pizza. I opted for the mozzarella sticks as well. Omg they were fire! My daughter and I have been regulars at Barro's Pizza in South Scottsdale for nearly 10 years, and it's become one of our go-to takeout spots. I love Barro's and have been to several locations with relative consistency in product and quality at each one, until now. I ordered the veggie salad with some modifications (no tomato or green olives) but they left out the green pepper and onion. Also, the pieces of lettuce were huge and had to be cut more before I could even attempt to eat it. All of the toppings were in the bottom of the tray and was so difficult to mix up because the pieces of lettuce were so big. The pizza was pretty much up to standard but there was a large amount of oil dripping from the box. I love Barros and this will not stop me from eating there in the future but I was pretty disappointed with this order. read more

Wide verity , casual pizza place. Service is generally good although it can be slow. Great place to come for lunch, ( they have specials) . Or come with the family. They have beer on tap as well as your usual soda and ice tea, and the prices are great. It's always very clean. It can be slow and your order can take longer , but I'm assuming it's because they have so many online orders coming in at once. Went there and literally just ordered 2 things. kids spaghetti and french bread pizza which is a side and kids meal. Waited around 40 minutes which not upset about the waiting portion cause I get it gets busy and it's not always quick. more of the fact that the guy with super long hair up front was not even checking the tabs when they were being put up to deliver. People had to come up to him to ask when the order is ready. There is a line of 4 people and he's answering the phone and holding the line instead of just attending the current people right in front of him and just putting the phone customers on hold to address the line and make sure the food is getting out on time and not just sitting there. Having to ask if my food is ready and I see it had been sitting there for 10-15 minutes and he goes to the kitchen and comes back with nothing and looks around and long be hold it was sitting right there. Ordered pizza online and I want to highlight that it came steaming hot!!! It took a while but I didn't mind because it tasted like it just came out of the oven. Unfortunately, I was not impressed. Hate to admit it but I eat at Barro's Pizza on a weekly basis, if not multiple times a week. This location is close to my work so I'm able to make it there and back on my lunch breaks. I typically order the lunch special with two slices and a drink. Monday (Hot Wing), Tuesday (BBQ chicken) and Thursday (Mega Meat) are the days you might see me here enjoying my lunch. Service is quick (assuming they have what you want) but the staff isn't always the friendliest. They also serve beer and wine to help wash down your pizza and wings. The one thing I don't like about Barro's is that you just leave your plates on the table when you finish eating. This may be convenient for guests but often it leads to limited seating being available and a messy appearance. read more
