Came to try this place since it's around my work. Checked the menu when I entered. Asked one of the employees if I can have the bacon, avocado eggs white sandwich without bacon. Im a vegetarian. They said yes and told me it's actually encouraged to build your own sandwich. So I ordered that but without bacon, of course, and the same employee started to make it. I come home and boom, bacon and lots of it in the sandwich. Very sad, was looking very forward towards the sandwich but had to give it away. I wouldn't have written this review if someone else made it or if I wasn't very clear on my order but I had confirmation from the person making my food that it would be vegetarian. :( read more

Was craving a bagel and decided to give them a try. My partner and I decided to split a farmhouse bagel and an everything bagel with cream cheese. We each got a double baked hasbrown and large coffee as well. The farmhouse bagel was good flavor wise, but I wish the bagel was more crisp. It would have made it easier to eat. The hasbrowns tasted undercooked and weren't hot or crisp on the outside. The everything bagel was a home run, next time will have to get 2 of those! read more

I haven't been here in years since our offices moved but stopped in this AM. I much prefer Brueggers to Einsteins in pretty much all regards. Flavor, service, price, etc. Management was welcoming and the staff were friendly. My order was a little complex and she checked to make sure she got it right. I don't want to age myself, but if you enjoy college-aged people "serving" you with looks like they can't stand you and like placing an order is such an inconvenience to them- this is the place for you! I'm from Minnesota and loved going to Brugger's Bagels which were in abundance over there, so when I saw there was one not too far from me (1 hour and 15 minutes) in Ohio and where I was heading for the day anyways, I was so excited. I took my mom and my 3 year old son to grab a couple bagels with cream cheese and here's where I super inconvenienced the person taking care of me: their sriracha honey sunrise-I didnt customize or change anything- ordered it exactly how it is on the menu. I wish I could have snapped a picture of the guy (who had a beautifully flawless complexion I might add) who "took care" of me. The look of disgust and judgement on his face while I tried to be friendly and kind, made me almost walk out and forgo my bagels. He rolled his eyes and head every time he had to turn away to grab a bagel from the wall or fetch the bagels from the toaster- think Regina George from Mean Girls- this was him. My mom was ahead of me and was getting helped by I'm guessing the manager because she was beyond kind and friendly. There were two other guys there assembling the bagel sandwiches and they looked like they were beyond pissed to be there. The saving grace of this Brugger's establishment was Dylan. Dylan rang up my mom and then me. But while cashing out my mom- he was BEYOND kind! My mom ordered an unsweetened ice tea with extra ice and Dylan got that for her, handed it to her then noticed there was some spillage on the cup- he promptly took it back and wiped it off and cleaned it up for her- which he didn't have to do! But he was so kind and definitely saved the experience, though we will never come back lol. When I got to opening my sandwich, it looked like my 3 year old had assembled it, actually no, my son would have stacked everything perfectly- it looked like a bored, angry, rude and unfriendly worker threw it together. For being open only from 6:30am-1:00pm I can't imagine hiring the least kind, most un-friendly and non-morning people that work there, even though it was noon when we got there. This place needs to hire more Dylan's and more people like the nice manager lady who at least acted like they didn't hate us(though I'm sure people like that are hard to come by), vs the other three guys there that look like they hate their job and hate the people buying food. read more

I've stopped coming to this location because when you check out they ask if you want to leave a tip, which you're forced to give because you don't want to say no to their face. It's not a full service restaurant, I didn't sit down and they didn't hand me a menu. so why are they asking for a tip? Tipping culture in the us has gotten out of control. I had a few minutes to spare and when I say a few minutes, I mean it. I was hungry before picking up the Nugget and needed to eat, the other alternative was the less than stellar pizza place in terminal A of the CMH airport, so I opted for a bagel. I have a soft spot for Bruegger's. Mainly because there was one in my hometown of Troy, NY, that I used to frequent. I walked in and ordered an Asiago cheese bagel with light veggie cream cheese and five plain bagels for the Nugget. Why five? Because who knows if we'll be stranded in the airport, and despite the massive amounts of snacks I had for him, it would be my luck that he'd want something random like a frozen waffle or a plain bagel in the middle of the airport, so five plain bagels it was. The girl taking my order was cheerful enough. I paid, scarfed down my bagel (which by the way was delightful, a boiled bagel with a chewy inside, just like a bagel should be and the veggie cream cheese, which made me feel healthy. I'm not entirely sure the people on the flight will enjoy my garlic/Italian herb breath), and I was on my way. My husband and I went in yesterday morning for bagels. We had never been to this location. The location was fairly easy to fine right off of 161. The parking is scarce in the parking lot is a little awkward. However, after the snow, it was nice and shoveled and clean for you to walk over. There was a bit of a line we waited for about five minutes. Even though he said we had never visited before we did not receive any offers of suggestions, but we went ahead and just ordered two bagel sandwiches. I ordered the peppered bacon, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel. My husband order the cinnamon raisin bagel with egg and cheese. Overall, you can tell that things are made fresh and quick. In fact, they were so hot you could barely hold them at first. The way they cook them, the outside is crispy, but the inside is soft, which is really nice. We ended up paying $18 for two sandwiches and two drinks. Honestly, the flavor is just lacking. For some reason it just literally tasted like nothing. Weird, right? The sandwich literally tasted like nothing. So when I say it's edible, that's because it tasted like nothing. My husband added ketchup to his and he said it was ok and he ate it very quickly so it must have been tasty. Overall, I don't think I would return. I just didn't have a taste for me. I've been a long time fan of Bruegger's and used to frequent this location every weekend when I still lived in Ohio. I got to stop in after some time away and the bagels and service are just as good. I usually opt for the smoked salmon but I also love their cinnamon sugar bagels. They are always super friendly and make your order fast. The owner is there a lot and you can tell he really cares about customer service. There are several tables to sit at but on the weekends it can get a little crowded. I frequently visit this store and love the bagels. I bought a single blueberry bagel(unsliced) and picked up a bag of day old bagels. The cashier(don't know his name,but had longer hair, and worked register closest to window) asked if I was going to leave a tip when I gave him my credit card. I said I would just put some in cash so I dug through my purse to find cash and found a quarter and dropped it in tip jar. When I was zipping my purse, he said "next time just say no". I said "what?"He said next time just say no if you don't want to leave a tip. I told him I did leave a tip and he said, "no you didn't". I told him I did. He again said "no you didn't". I showed him where I dropped the quarter and stormed off to the back and did not give me a receipt. Other workers were looking at me like I lied. I was so humiliated. I know it wasn't a big tip, but I don't think they had to do much... hand me one bagel - I picked up the bag myself. They have the best bagels around, but don't know if I will be going back. The bagel I chose was Parmesan Asiago and didn't have the best texture, but that's in my for my choice. I also had a bite of a rosemary bagel that was a much better texture. But the things that really bothered me were 1) crew members standing around when all open tables were dirty, and 2) being asked by the cashier if we wanted to leave a tip, and how much. Patrons should not be asked to subsidize workers income at a quick service restaurant in the first place, but to be asked if you're tipping and how much is gross. If you're going to be so miserly to ask your patrons to provide your employees a living wage, at least have the decency to have the question asked on a screen the patron navigates on their own. I'm sure having the employee ask directly adds the pressure for tips which is what the employer wants though. I won't be returning. read more

My family and I are on vacation, we are from California. We discovered this place since most of Dublin restaurants do not serve breakfast on weekdays which sucked for us, since we all love breakfast. Once we walked in we were greeted by the staff and greeted by the scent of the fresh delicious bagels. There menu was unique and everything sounded so tasty. I had the western breakfast bagel w/cinnamon sugar bagel. It was delicious and so tasty. The bagel was spot on. Definitely recommend it here if you love bagels !!!! Warning: when you ask for a bagel combination it's not very fresh. They give you eggs that may have been made the prior day so they aren't fresh like what you make at home. The only good part compared to the Worthington location is it's quick service but that may be due to the poor quality of food they are serving so less service. If you experience any side effects from this food, please don't hesitate to call your doctor in the next 24-48 hours, as he may be able to address the issue of unfresh ingredients. So I just recommend making those ingredients fresher like the eggs, vegetables, etc. It's not the only time I've noticed this, it was also on the first time I tried it on my birthday 2 years ago, they put everything together so fast that it didn't look like they cared if your combination was good or not. My hubby also begged me not to buy their coffee because it's a total rip off for the price and quality. He kept saying well our Keurig at home can make your coffee ten times better than Bruegger's ever will. He was right the quality of the coffee wasn't up to par either. Darn good, quick food at a decent price. I had the Thai chicken bagel sandwich. There was so much else going on there that I couldn't tell a lot about the bagel, but it seemed like it would be pretty good on its own. The rest of the sandwich was good. A seriously sloppy handful though- they wrapped it in paper and I tried to use that to hold it together while eating, with no luck. I also had a cup of fire-roasted tomato soup, which was tasty and had a bit of heat to it. Service was great, and the place is nice enough. Came here for brunch the other day and had a great experience! My boyfriend got the pastrami on everything bagel sandwich and I had the Sriracha honey bagel. Both were under $5 and very delicious! I also had a coffee with my bagel and it was tasty. Their bagels also seem to be decently priced. I saw they had bundles with bagels and tubs of cream cheese for a discounted price as well. Went to this location approximately 3 weeks ago (Saturday morning). I am so disappointed I cannot recall the young lady's name that served us - she offered the model customer service experience - enthusiasm, can/will do attitude and all around pleasant disposition! Our cashier / barista was equally friendly efficient and thoughtful in his explanation of the coffee tumbler/mug promotion. My husband had a sunrise something or other (promotional sammie) which was shockingly really tasty despite the combination of flavors which I did not see as complementary per my palate. I had a simple order slightly toasted cinnamon raisin bagel with honey nut cream cheese. After having 2-3 cinnamon raising bagels from Bruegger's the only criticism I would offer is there is something a/b that particular flavor profile that results in a 'rubbery-isn' bagel. From this and other locations as opposed to say the Asiago bagel which has a more familiar and consistent bagel texture. That was an aside. Otherrwise I thoroughly enjoyed my sammie as did DH. On another visit he had the Herby Turkey which is EVERYTHING especially on a asiago bagel. Bruegger's Bagels on 161/DGranville is smallish but they make up for it with customer service. I have ordered for there 3X with two for in-store eating. They've always had two sandwich makers working. That cuts down considerable wait time. Breads and bagels are fresh (don't know if they're made there but good). I really enjoy the albacore tuna melt with swiss on large slice wheat bread. I'm on again, off again with their honey mustard but my co-workers swear by it. So maybe my palate is off just a bit. The 12-grain bagels are delicious too. Tasty food, good service... gotta give Bruegger's Bagels on 161 a total of four stars. Visit them! :) read more

These are the best bagels in Columbus. Unfortunately, if you're from the east coast, you'll probably be disappointed. There used to be a bread place in the north market that sold bagels that would even make a New Yorker proud but I haven't found anything around recently of that caliber. But brueggers is still much better than supermarket quality bagels or places like Einstein's. I especially like their Asiago cheese, as well as their sun dried tomato bagels. read more

As a baker's dozen card holder - ;) - my Wednesday baker's dozen usually consists of a Cinnamon Sugar bagel for my aunt - she loves them; three or four Sesame Seed bagels for my mom - who also loves them; and the rest are Rosemary Olive Oil for myself - because, of course, I love them. Their bagels are really, really good. I've tried their coconut iced coffee twice, and both times it was pulled out of a refrigerator. I should ask how often they brew it, because I don't like the idea of it just sitting in the fridge all morning. That being said, it's okay - on par with the new pumpkin seasonal bagel. Bruegger's has the chewiest bagels ever. They have a lot of flavor, but man, are they super weirdly chewy. If you are used to Einstein or a more traditional bagel from a Jewish deli, Bruegger's will be a bit weird for you on your first bite. The asiago parmesan is my go to bagel, and I got the chance to have one warm here. This Bruegger's has a strange confusing layout and no real place for a line, many people came in from both the back and front doors at once causing a weird free-for-all style line. Usually bagel shops, including Bruegger's have a better flow for these kind of things. Other than the weird layout, this was a nice location for the chain. read more

I sometimes come here for lunch or dinner when I'm nearby, mostly when I want an alternative to Panera that's like Panera, but not Panera. The bagels at Bruegger's are pretty tasty--very chewy on the outside and soft in the middle, like a bagel should be. I usually get either tuna salad, or egg white and sun-dried tomato paste on an everything bagel. They have a surprisingly large number of toppings available, so don't feel confined to what's suggested under different menu options, especially because sometimes the suggested toppings are a bit, well, bland. I like to add their oil-soaked red peppers to everything I order. One of the reasons I come here as often as I do is because they're in kind of a funny spot, and not normally very crowded, especially when compared with Panera at dinnertime. The only drawback is that there usually aren't more than two or three people behind the counter at any given time, so if you do go at a time when it's crowded, you can end up waiting a long time for your order. read more
