Stopped this afternoon with a friend. Took ten or so minutes for the server to come over after being seated. After ordering drinks, at about the fifteen minute mark, I asked the host to cancel the order. The ice water was cold, that's something. Update: The manager contacted me through Yelp after the review and was very apologetic in an authentic way. I'm a regular at Bartaco Nashville so I decided to try this one tonight... There is a huge difference in the bar,food and service. The one in Nashville is so good I literally make trips to Nashville just to visit Bartaco. The Inman Park location is so bad I will never take the 30 minute drive there again. Server was absolutely terrible never even introduced herself then make matters worse she double charged my card. Please do yourself a face or and go to a better location. read more

5 of us came in around 6:30 and were told there would be a 30-45 minute wait. After about 50 minutes we asked if we would be seated soon, they told us it would be another 20 minutes. After patiently waiting 20 minutes, paying way too much money for drinks at the bar (margaritas were delicious), we noticed 3 open tables and asked if we would be seated at one of them. After finally being seated, our waitress took about 10 minutes to come to our table and was not very attentive afterwards. They were out of salsa, and brought us all of our tacos on one tray with no extra plates (they said they were out of plates as well). We told the waitress the experience had been terrible and she talked to the manager who took care of our meal, apologized, and gave us a gift card as well as his personal cell phone number to call ahead next time we go. The experience was initially frustrating but the apology was sincere and recovery was commendable. Hopefully next time will be better. read more

This is my favorite location of all the bar tacos. The patio is the best here in my opinion. I love the environment with the outdoor fire pits, the bench style seating and the location right in Inman park. The food and margaritas here are great too. Always get the margarita pitcher... It's a must. My favorite tacos are the fried oyster, sesame rib eye and duck. I'm always disappointed with the chorizo taco when I come here. Not enough flavor and always kind of burnt. Two stars for the food and cocktails, which on my two visits were quite good and would have me coming back - if not for the awful service. On our first visit - we came in early on a weekday evening with my 2 year old and were greeted by friendly hosts and seated promptly. A high chair was promised but never came - no big deal - we got it ourselves. A couple of salsas to taste were promised but came only after we asked again. The friendly manager checked in on us and then sent his favorite dish to our table, which was kind. But then we were charged for it and felt strange about bringing it up. Because the food was good and people were friendly, we chalked it up to a shift change and honest mistakes made on an off night. Second visit - truly the worst dining experience I've had in recent memory. I called ahead because my sister was visiting from out of town for the weekend and it was her 30th birthday week - I thought this would be a fun early dinner spot to celebrate with a toddler in tow. Put ourselves on the call ahead list and asked for the patio - for a quieter place to sit. We were told it's not much quieter outside so said we were open to first available. We were seated inside. The music was atrocious and painfully loud. We asked if we could please wait for an outside table and again were told it's not much quieter, and we would have to wait long. So we sat. The roving hostess was rude and dismissive when we asked if the music could be turned down a notch. I don't know how anyone could hear each other in there - it was terrible. I stepped out on the patio - and found it was definitely quieter. But too late. We ordered and the food took forever to come. For three adults, our 9 tacos came on 2 platters, all mixed up. We asked for an extra plate. It never came. My 2-year old's kids quesadilla never came. The extra chips we asked for never came. 20 minutes after we were done eating and after we had asked for it three times, my child's meal arrived. Our server was rude when we expressed dismay. It seems that she may have been too busy closing out checks, perhaps to get the tips before a shift change, to really attend to us. Needless to say I never even mentioned the birthday I had hoped to celebrate with a dessert. We left incredibly upset and shocked at the horrendous service. Very disappointed. read more

She made us the Spring Caipirinha that's their own variation of the Brazilian Caipirinha w an orange twist & it was the perfect summer twist with a bit of orange flavor. The second drink was the Red Sonja that requires her taste of a hot fresh pepper to make the best reposado tequila drink with ginger, lemon juice & peychaud's bitters. I have been to this establishment several times over the past few months and it never disappoints. It is hands down one of my favorite taco places in the are. There are so many different tacos. I stopped by Bartaco for the first time today and was super impressed! The food was incredible and the service couldn't have been better. I had the Baja fish taco, shrimp taco, portobello taco, ceviche, and corn. I loved the tacos but the hero of the meal was definitely the corn! The corn was so amazing we actually opted for a second round after the meal! Make sure you save room for dessert though because the churros and the key lime pie are out of this world! I can't say enough good things about this place, I would highly recommend it to anyone! read more

They have a lot of options on the menu and decent, but pricey drinks, however I've been multiple times and keep getting the same bad service. My order is wrong more often than not and usually coming with a group, it's inconvenient to have to send things back or wait on items that didn't make it to the table. The best new spot in Inman Park! I've never seen such an accommodating and vibrant team. So sweet, so welcoming, so festive. The drinks are ON POINT. Fresh juice squeezed for every cocktail, unique combinations, and extremely knowledgable bar staff. Wes is an amazing bartender! He made every drink we asked for with excitement and ease - even if it involved 6 ingredients (and/or it didn't exist in the menu). They are staffed to the max and everyone is so helpful. The whole bar was so friendly and - Aj and Jameson were especially amazing throughout the the night, too! Food wise, everything is so good and so fresh. The tacos do not compare to anywhere else, SO unique and versatile. Our lunch at bartaco was tasty, but there are still some improvements this new joint can make. In time, it would not surprise me if the reviews get better and better. We have eaten at this restaurant before, but not this location. I want to say the flavors of our food were wonderful and our server was kind and attentive. We both ordered lunch trays, which come with three tacos and choice of a soup or salad. We both had chicken soup. It was great, but there were several bones (at least 5) in my bowl. This just tells me the person responsible for checking for bones in the broth making process was more than a little lazy. We spoke to our sever and the manager and they both profusely apologized and also comped us more than necessary. In addition, the manager gave us tokens for four free tacos on our next visit. Their desire to please was evident, and that goes a long way with me as a customer. The wait staff seemed a bit disorganized and there seemed to be a lack of communication between them, but more than likely it stems from the newness of the restaurant and will increase over time. An area of growth would be for the wait staff to explain the concept of the restaurant and the style of ordering here. You order from a card rather than informing your server. Given our past experience we knew what to do, but the table beside us seemed a little confused. A simple "have you been here before? This is how it works..." Would completely fix this! Due to the style of service (multiple trays piled on the table) we sometimes struggled for places to put drinks and new trays. We enjoyed the service and the flavors (the pork belly tacos were especially delicious), as well as the feel of bartaco. It will not be some place we frequent, but will absolutely come here on occasion. They are not your typical Mexican place, as everything is ordered a la carte, and the choices are less standard (you can't get duck tacos just anywhere!). All in all, we will be back and look forward to watching this place progress. read more

Perfect atmosphere to unwind after a long day. I've been several times without reservations and am typically seated immediately. The tapas style menu is ideal for sharing. I especially love the guacamole and plantains. Only downfalls are occasional spotty service and tiny tacos lacking flavor. But margaritas and the rest of the menu make up for it! read more

The service here was great. In addition to having my waiter walk me through the menu, several other people came over to make sure my friend and I had everything we needed. The tacos are small enough to be finished in 3 or 4 bites so I wouldn't recommend going very hungry. I would suggest trying the duck taco and asking about any tacos that might not be listed on the menu. It can be a little challenging to find street parking during the early evening on a weekday, but there are few public parking lots not too far from the restaurant. read more

Was there this past Saturday. Like the area and styling of the place. Was very loud but that was no big deal as there were a lot of people. Tacos are ok but very small. My buddy sitting next to me asked "who is their target audience? " then answered his own question with "must be 4 year olds with as little as these things are". I didn't really mind the size of them or even the whole ordering on the cards process. What I do not like is how they serve the whole tables order on one big tray. Now we had 9 people so we had two trays. The only taco I ate that I know I ordered was the Mahi Mahi other than that I had no clue. read more

I really do love the food at Bartaco but the past 3-4 times that I come the they have forgotten items that I ordered. I went here yesterday and I had to remind our server that we never received the corn, then at the end of the meal our ceviche also never came out and it was paid for. Other times they will forget a couple of tacos. We fill out the cards to order our food which should also eliminate any ordering mistakes. As a customer I would like to come to a restaurant and be served food without worrying whether or not received everything that was ordered. read more

Had two tokens. They are for one "free taco". Came in and ordered two tacos. Waitress comes back with a bill for two bucks. The tacos were 3.50 each and she took off five dollars so they were not free. I asked her, "shouldn't they be free?" She replies, "not really." Don't care about the two bucks. But free should be free and not discounted, and "not really" isn't an appropriate answer.
