I take Yelp VERY seriously and have a personal rule of not reviewing major chain establishments. In my opinion, there is no reason to review Trader Joe's or Starbucks: we ALL know what to expect even if some locations are better than others. I have to go against my own rule, however, for this location of Baskin Robbins. Why? What is so special about it? This location is a 'fancy' Baskin Robbins as it is serves as the training center for all of the employees who then move on to their respective BR locations. Plus, there is also a taste test kitchen in the building where they doctor up recipes, have panel discussions, etc! What does this mean for us simple folk? That this is the Baskin Robbins to go to if wanting to experience great customer service. Even though these are the employees that are "just learning"; they are actually better than the employees at all other Baskin Robbins locations. Perhaps because they aren't jaded yet. In addition, managers are taught here as well as cake decorators so it isn't just newbies. The bottom line is that the service is terrific: polite, courteous, and happy. Aside from great service, you will also find a vastly better selection of flavors at this Training Center location. This Baskin Robbins offers some of the regular favorites but also flavors that you won't find elsewhere as they test customer purchase frequency before adding it to the store roster at other locations. Pretty snazzy if you are an ice cream fan! Cleanliness is also top-notch at this Baskin Robbins Training Center as the store is much more spacious than other locations, bright, airy, and VERY clean! No sticky napkins or melted ice cream here! Plus, there is a drive -thru available if you are too lazy to get out of your car for your ice cream fix (and they are open until 10pm so late-night sugar cravings are satisfied here!). A large parking lot is also available. Don't worry about any restrictions due to this being the Training Center. This Baskin Robbins still redeems all regular coupons and offers. I had a free birthday scoop coupon and they had no issue with it. Long story short, Baskin Robbins isn't high-end gourmet ice cream but you want something quick than this Training Center location is the one to visit. We occupied the outside seating area and as one might expect after 9 year olds had finished their very expensive ice cream treats, were playing and we had to remind them to calm down several times. Suddenly the owner comes out saying he'd been watching their behavior for 15 minutes and told us in detail how our kids were out of control. He also insisted that one of our party had been there before and had been told to handle her kids. She had never been there before that day. This man was completely out of line and I told him so. Don't give this man your money. He doesn't appreciate customers. Makes false assumptions and totally crossed the line. Not going back there again. If you have kids and go there. Terrible service. Lit was in line 10 minutes and an employee ran out to the car and said that the car in front of us is the last car they're taking. We were the fifth and last car in line. I can easily tell you that Baskin Robbins is good ice cream. I tend to stick to my favorite flavors by the scoop. Only recently have I ventured into specialty menu items. And most of them were amazing too. Truthfully, I didn't like the Cookie Sundae because of the cookies. Maybe, it was too much sweetness for me to handle. I tossed the cookies after a taste. I found them soft, but chalky in the flavor. The Cherry Jubilee sundae'd up was still fantastic. Anyways, the BR employees are always nice. Service great. This ice cream parlor's always clean. Been coming here for a long time. Always super fantastic service. Last night, not so much. Apparently it was an inconvenience that I used drive thru. I was the only one there, no line. I asked the employee to give me a few seconds to look at the menu. I also had someone on the phone that wanted ice cream. Employee says excuse me. I state I'm on the phone-sorry. THAT'S when the employees attitude started. I ordered a double scoop, no problems. I ordered another double scoop, asked kindly if I could have it in two separate containers. Then was told you want single scoops then? It'll be charged as two single scoops. I said no I want a double scoop. So I just said it was fine and to cram everything in one container. Once at the window, employee gives me the nastiest stink eye possible, gave her my card, snatches it from my hand "slides" my card and says it's declined and do I have another card or "something" I hand her another card and shoves it back to me with the receipt and my ice cream bag. I was not about to make a scene and be a dime a dozen video on social media. I just left. Come home to eat my ice cream, open the container. It was so sad. The scoops were so tiny. At best 1 scoop. Same for the other order I placed. She did this intentionally. So sad. I will be contacting this store mainly to know when not to go if the employee is there. read more

It's been so long since I've been to a Baskin Robbins, I guess I just thought they only sold ice cream and cakes, but they've upped their game. This particular location has a drive-thru, which is quite convenient. As we perused the menu, I my friend opted for an ice cream cone and I, without a doubt, selected the sherbet. They have a few options and I chose the Rock 'n Pop Swirl that consists of the green apple and grape flavors. Not only is the Rock 'n Pop Swirl flavorful, it pops in your mouth. Just imagine, a hot day and you have a cool sherbet treat to cool down your body, satisfy your taste buds, and keep you alert, due to the popping sensation it has on your tongue. Fancy that! On a hot day, everyone deserves a cool treat, and these treats weren't expensive. Overall, this place satisfied our craving, and the service was good too. No long wait in the drive-thru, no attitude, and no problems. This Baskin Robbins isn't in my neighborhood, but I'd be willing to drive back due to the service, drive-thru, and cool desserts. Growing up in Burbank we have visited this location for several years and have always enjoyed the experience. Ice cream tastes great and service is very consistent. Only thing I would suggest is if they see a customer is just buying a quart of ice cream then maybe a employee can offer to ring them up real quick so they can leave as long as they don't want anything else. Just doesn't make sense to make them wait in line for 10 min cause then the quart starts melting and now you have a no so cold quart of ice cream by the time you get to your destination. I'm still giving 5 stars because this was the only negative thing about the experience and hopefully this can help improve the experience for the next customer trying to by a quart or cake to-go. read more

I normally don't bother Yelping chain businesses, but this Baskin Robbins gets special treatment because it totally rocks. In fact, it's the only BR I will go to -- the other ones don't even compare. As everyone else has said, the service here is phenomenal. And, perhaps because it's the flagship store, they often have new offerings that you won't find at other BRs. The best thing about this place is its SOFT SERVE. I'm a soft serve fanatic. Most places, like Dairy Queen (and Carvel, on the east coast), have mediocre soft serve that's pumped full of air. You might as well eat that frozen yogurt Pinkberry shit. But the soft serve here is awesomely smooth and rich. This Baskin Robbins is not your ordinary Baskin Robbins. No, THIS location features a drive-thru and is also a training facility. Did I mention drive-thru? I know what you're thinking: "Oh jeez. I don't want to have my order screwed up by some bumbling teenager." -- But the fact of the matter is, that because this IS a training facility, the shop is super clean and well stocked - and customer service is #1. If there is a screw up, someone is right there to correct it. The cakes on display are top notch... including other items that are on the menu that are often not seen on display at other stores, such as frozen bananas and popsicles. I visited this Baskin-Robbins for the first time and experienced the worst customer service of my life. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a long line. I was accused of cutting in line in the drive-thru and they refused service. I stood in line a second time in the drive-thru and the employee accused me of cutting the line again, when there is no clear indication of their line system. Why would I in my right mind cut again ?? The employee cussed me out and refused service. I had two kids in the back and this is the type of service they provided. I left with no ice cream and the worst customer service EVER!!! I have never had this type of service anywhere. I live in the area and have been coming to this location for the past 8 years but not after what I witnessed today. As a result of the Coronavirus there has been a long line for drive thru and the staff will accuse you of cutting in line even if you haven't. The staff will even go to great lengths to threaten you, refuse service, be rude, and even cuss in front of kids in the car. Why in the right mind would a person intentionally cut in line especially now where we have all the time and nowhere to go. If they are this serious about a car cutting in line, please put a clear indication of where the line forms as there are also cars parked on the sidewalk and multiple cross streets in between. The owner needs to take classes on how to run a business and teach his employees about customer service especially Kevin. read more

Called in to confirm closing time. Employee confirms 10:00pm as the drive thru closing time. TWICE. Arrived to the drive thru at 9:37pm with two cars in front of me and a random cone off to the sidewalk. Employee comes out at 9:46pm telling me to leave the line and that they close the line at 9:30 to prevent the employees from scooping ice cream until 12:00am. I'm not sure how long it takes to scoop ice cream but come on I drove all the way down here and was in line before 10pm after calling to confirm just to find out you really close at 9:30pm.
