Their batchoy was not just flavorful but it brought back childhood memories when I used to visit my mom's hometown, Roxas City. Because of that, I enjoyed the food even more. Delicious filipino cuisine! I went with a group of 4 and we had ordered 2 bangus, 2 scoops of rice, & 2 batchoys which were pretty large portions. Sharing a batchoy and bangus I think will be perfect for 2. Their batchoy hits the spot (came on a cold and chilly day so it was PERFECT batchoy weather), their bangus is very well marinated, restaurant space is spacious, plenty of parking, and extremely friendly and helpful staff. The ordered the Beef soup and my husband ordered sinigang Shrimp rice not included and Lechon. The Sinigang had lil veggies. Don't get me wrong this place is a good place to eat Filipino food here in Camarillo. (They are the only Filipino restaurant in Camarillo btw.) Their selection of food varies from bangus fried fish, grilled thin pork belly meat and many other items. FYI: some foods they cook are only available on the weekend, so if you eat there during lunch time during the week they won't have theshould be delicious I am leaving a 2 star because the last 2 times I ate there and ordered their halo-halo my family and I all got upset stomach and diarrhea from the halo-halo. Also I commented on a video on their Facebook page. All I said was that that their egg was colored gray and over boiled. They replied back with a smart remark, "okay egg chef", before blocking me and deleting my comment. I tried to respond but couldn't, I guess they got offended that I said their egg was gray and over-boiled and they blocked me. So just be careful if you go there and order their halo halo or other foods you might get an upset stomach or worse like food poisoning. Check out Caribbean Haven on S. My dad is from Ilo-Ilo, we didn't know any ilonggo restaurant around California, till my brother-in-Las mentioned this place in Camarillo, CA. That being said, my whole entire family was in the Santa Barbara area attending my son's graduation at UCSB. We went straight to Batchoyan from the Bay Area. We order all our favorites. All were delicious, my dad gave the batchoy 2 thumbs up. The owner and His staff were very nice and accommodating. We will definitely go back to this place when we are in SoCal. read more

The pancit bihon was amazing. They really mean what they say when the menu says it feeds 2-3. I did a to-go order and I got my food quick because I called ahead. I would recommend calling ahead because their food is made to order and it's so fresh. I could literally feed a family of 3-4 with this one order for $11.99. I want to be understanding as eateries have to adjust to take-out dining, but this experience was troubling enough to warrant a post. The batchoyan was edible, albeit a little bland (we had the special, beef and pork as well). I appreciate the fact that they separated the soup from the noodles and fillings. That's where things go awry. The canton pancit was one big gloppy mess - it definitely does not transport well and there was no flavor whatsoever. The lechon kawali was ok (if you could find a piece that had even a little meat). Most of the pieces were entirely fat. That's inexusable. The prices are steep - if you're in the mood for filipino food, you are better off venturing a few miles to Oxnard. read more

This place is beyond 5 stars to me in so many levels. To start with the food, they have the BEST of the best from the Batchoy ( original is my absolute favorite) to Pancit ( Bihon is my favorite) to everything especially the Cajun Shrimp, Pork Belly and Bangus! I didn't even mention the delicious desserts yet. Their boodle platters are super worth it and is a great way to show my non- Filipino friends about the culture of boodle fight.
