Not only was the food delicious, but the customer service was extremely helpful and kind. The incredible batchoy and lechon kawali with the best, crunchiest skin brought me back to being in the Philippines. The batchoy experience was even more enhanced when dipping the puto in the soup. Highly highly recommend!! The drink selection was also so great--the calamansi juice and soursop juice tasted just like being in the Philippines. The customer service was amazing--they would know what you could ever need or want before you do! Not just these, but the interior and vibes just made the experience even better. For a Batchoyan away from a Filipino town, this is legit. Owned by Ilongos, they created a feel of Iloilo within the restaurant. Service is great and place clean. The Batchoy - authentic taste and delicious. It took me back to Iloilo. Its not going to be taste as the original from Iloilo due to the available ingredients but the taste is so close. Pork stomach was clean tasting and tender. Broth- amazing and garlicky. The eggroll - lumpyang shanghai was presented in a cute metal strainer but taste is just ok. Really delicious food! Lechon Kawali - fried pork belly chunks, really well fried and came with a brown dipping sauce that was out of this world. The entirety of it was SO crispy and paired well with the Garlic rice - rice shouldn't taste this good. It was very confusing, super fluffy and full of flavor. Probably my favorite thing but mostly because it's shocking how good it was, I was expecting garlic rice but received a transformative rice experience Pork lumpia / spicy lumpia - both delicious! The spicy was only mildly spicy, I might get the pork lumpia over the spicy version only due to the pork flavor standing out a lot more. Dipped in the brown sauce or the sweet and sour was really good. Beef Pancit Canton - I was the most excited for this, but it turned out to not be flavorful. Even with lemon and sriracha on it. However, I don't really know what pancit is supposed to taste like, so take my review with a large grain of salt. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender and the portion was plentiful, could feed 4+ people. Next time I am going to try the Batchoy (their namesake). We went on a Wednesday around 12:30 and it was empty, but right after we got our food they got a good little rush that lasted until we left. So earlier is better as far as I can tell. Dine-in is like a cafeteria experience, where you order at the counter, they give you a beeper, your food comes on a tray and you clean up after yourself. It seems like the food is family style, the portions are large and mostly a la carte. Overall, the food was delicious and the service was nice and helpful for first -timers. I love this place so far! I came here twice since I first found out about it. The first time I was craving pancit canton so I ordered that and then added the grilled pork. They were both soooo good! Next time I came I brought my mother and she ordered the pork botchoy and the lechon kawali. We have never tried botchoy. Man! This was so good! The lechon kawali was perfect as well, but that botchoy...WOW! It just hit the spot. It's my mom's new favorite soup meal. They cook when you order so there's a little wait, but it was worth it. I at least really liked my batchoy. They were out of beef, and I wanted to get the beef batchoy first. Everything we ordered ended up having pork....wasn't ideal but then again og batchoy is usually pork. I got the regular pork batchoy, not the og one which had pork liver and pork stomach. I tried that og one that my friend ordered, it was too much for me. Definitely had that liver taste in the broth. But, my regular pork batchoy was yummy! The broth was more garlicky! Which I liked! Lots of pork bits and chichacorn that all complimented the soup. Noods were good too. Definitely try the regular pork batchoy or maybe the beef batchoy if ya go! The pork egg rolls were fine. Didn't like that the sweet and sour sauce was pre-packaged dipping sauce though. They should've at least taken it out of the package and pour it onto a saucer so I wouldn't have known lol! Presentation matters lol. Overall, I'd say it was 3.5 here but I haven't been to a Filipino ilonggo restaurant and one that specializes only on batchoy. Mine was also good! Came on a weekday evening - they close a bit early (7:30pm) so if you're doing the same, make sure you get off work in time. I think it's only the second time I've had restaurant Filipino food (that's not Jolibee's). Ordered the pork lumpia, pancit Canton, and Lechon Kawali - never had any of these dishes before. The lumpia is absolutely delicious. No other comment. The Kawali is also incredibly tasty, but it was VERY fatty - although, I think that was the point.. the crispy fattiness was very delicious at the beginning, but it begins to get a bit overwhelming from the fat a bit quickly, even when eating it with white rice or the pancit. Still delicious and different, but maybe a bit too much for my taste, personally. The pancit started off a bit boring, and maybe a bit too mild in flavor - they gave a huge portion though. Midway through it, however, I started to appreciate it's flavor and taste, despite being mild. Overall, other than the lumpia, the other two orders were a bit of a miss for me - it could be from it just not being my type of food though. The service was very quick, and the staff was very respectful, polite, and helpful. It's more casual, order, and sit down. One qualm I did have though is that I was left incredibly parched and thirsty after - while I didn't feel the food was salty while eating it, it definitely was... I still give this establishment four stars - food decently priced, very good experience, great staff, just the food was probably a bit too salty (and not my type, but that is not factored in here). Then comes Batchoyan.....tucked behind the shadows of one of the most popular ramen places in Ventura county, I dare those who are waiting in line at that place to go across the parking lot and try this new place. Wonderful egg noodles swimming in garlicky pork and beef-based broth, chicaron bits floating on top and your choice of pork or beef (or if you are daring enough, try the original, because with Filipinos, nothing goes to waste). Batchoy was 4/5, customer service was 0/5. My family and I were excited to try this first Batchoyan in town. There were no customers at the time we walked in and it took us roughly 3 minutes to figure out what we ordered; then, we proceeded to tell the cashier. I am not sure why the lady seemed so upset but she did not even bother to say 'Hello' and she seemed impatient the entire time I was giving her my food order. There were a couple of other customers after us and what I noticed was she seemed more pleasant with them, thanked them for their orders, and told these customers to enjoy their food. Was it because they spoke English and they were non-Filipino customers? I am not sure but I think service should be consistent among ALL customers. The gentleman who was working in the kitchen and who seemed to be the owner of the place seemed nice but I am afraid the cashier set the atmosphere of our Batchoy experience. I see there are multiple complains about the same thing and hope you can do better. read more

The service was pretty, even tho it is a seat yourself after you order restaurant. The wait for food is quick however the lechon kawali/ crispy beef was overcooked and a bit salty. The sinigang that came with my combo was good but the lumpia was also dry. The batchoy mami tasted good! The bathroom does smell a little funky and it reminded me of the ones in the Philippines. Wanted to try this Filipino spot and had a few people recommend it to me since there's not many in the area. The Batchoy was good but can't beat the one straight from the Philippines. My favorite was the lechón kawali. It wasn't greasy or hard, it was cooked just right and crunchy enough to enjoy with a side of Mang Thomas. We also ordered the grilled pork belly, pork lumpia, and pancit bihon. Would definitely come back to get my Filipino fix. Love that it wasn't busy and food came out pretty fast! We wanted to get dessert afterwards but they no longer served halo-halo which was kind of a bummer but other than that would recommend :) read more

We finally made it to this place to buy Lechon Kawali and Grilled Boneless Bangus. The Lechon Kawali is so crispy, not salty and not greasy. The pork skin is very crunchy. The fatty part is perfectly cooked. I didn't care for the vinegar sauce since I prefer the Lechon sauce better. The grilled Bangus was marinated well. It doesn't taste fishy at all. The size is very generous also. I will eat this with some chopped tomatoes with onions, garlic with salt and vinegar. That would have been nice if it came with it but of course, different regions in the Philippines have different preferences. Overall, I am very happy and pleased with the food. I will never try to cook them myself at home. I'll just call this place for pick up and have the professionals cook them for me. This place is definitely highly recommended. read more

Love the beef Batchoy!! its so yummy! Spices are not too overbearing and just the right amount of flavor.. Pancit and Lumpia was not that good.. I ended up spending $35+ for just these three items (i barely ate the other two items), it was pricey! My advice is to just stick to their Batchoy which was their namesake. read more

First time hearing about this place, and now I'm hooked! The pancit canton and lechon kawali were absolutely delicious! It's great that Camarillo finally has a Filipino restaurant. 2 thumbs up! I will definitely be back. Tip: food takes quite a bit to cook. The 2 orders above took close to 25 minutes to prepare. So definitely check their menu online and order ahead. Love how this place specializes in ilonggo cuisine!! People need to know that the Philippines have a lot more to offer than the usual adobo! Batchoy is like the pho of the visayas region of the Philippines. A must try for noodle lovers!! The drive was so worth. Drove all the way from LA because we heard about this place. My dad and son enjoyed their garlic shrimp dish. The batchoy soup was the perfect way to end our day!! The garlicky broth and delicious noodle was so satisfying! Definitely worth the trip! So comforting! Perfectly cooked noodles with ample toppings! Service was quick and food was Delicious!!! Serving portions were more than adequate. Definitely satisfied our craving!! Visited for the first time the other day around opening. Although we are not locals, we were curious to check this place out as we are aware there's not much Filipino restaurants around. I am not much of a soda/juice drinker so I was glad that we are given the opportunity to grab a water glass and fill it ourselves. Upon drinking, I realized that my water tasted like chemicals. Not wanting to skew any of my family's thoughts, I did not tell them -- that is until they all took their first sips and had the same response. We decided to buy beverages to mask the bitterness we recieved. Aside from that, almost all of us had an immediate reaction upon leaving.. we caught the stomach bug and made some restroom stops during our hour drive home! And no, we did not eat prior to this visit. However, I would like to add that this restaurant upkeeps from the dining area to the restroom. Although you are given the responsibilty to clean up for yourselves, there is a busboy who helps out and is very prompt with cleaning tables. read more

Egg rolls were delicious (not the frozen ones that are store bought). My dad said the egg rolls were even better than home made ones (he rarely compliments anything).
