Bath Fitter experience was both good and bad. I originally gave Bath Fitters five stars on Google on install day, but don't know how to go back to give them two stars so I'm writing it here. Stacy O'Farrell sales consultant was professional and really knew her stuff! She was great! The shower install was done in one day, which is what we needed and why we paid more and went with this product. On that same day, I went on Google and gave them five stars because at that point we were happy. The negative is that after it was done, we decided we didn't want the shower curtain and we were going to install a shower door but found the walls were not plum. There was a half inch visible gap so a shower door was probably no longer an option but wanted to discuss it with Bath Fitters. We tried to call and it's been two weeks of calling and we cannot get anybody to return our calls. Told repeatedly oh yes someone will call you back. Finally I called Stacy the original sales person and she said I will get on it immediately and have my boss call you. I don't doubt that she did that but it was four days ago and we still have not heard a word. So after two weeks of getting nowhere we are done with Bath Fitters and cannot give them a good rating. They are totally unresponsive and dropped the ball. Very disappointing. read more

This is our second review in 2 months. Bathfitter sent Frank Valuenzela and Skylar to lower our shower chair that was installed too high (about 3 weeks ago) by the original Bathfitter installer. Frank and Skylar arrived within the window time frame they said they would arrive. They advised me on the appropriate ADA recommended chair height and double checked the height with me. In the process, we got new shower walls. All in all, the shower chair is currently working well for me. They also advised us on using a liner for the shower curtain (our low threshold shower cannot hold a door) to keep the water in. In short, they, particularly Frank as well as the salesperson (Ken) were very professional and attentive to my disability needs in the shower. We would highly recommend Bathfitter. read more

Stephen just did an amazing job installing our new tub cover and walls, and I could not be happier with the results!! We had 1951 crumbling pink tiled walls and a stained old tub to contend with, and it's beautiful now. When he first opened up the wall to my horror we had termites and some rotten wood due to moisture from the window; Stephen knew just what to advise me to do to get the termites taken care of right away and dry out the wood, and came back 2 days later to finish the job. He even replaced the rotted wood and reframed the window so we won't have the problem again. I'm on a very tight budget and his calm problem-solving and skill saved the day!! I asked for a seat to be put in and marble streaking to be put in. I Hired Bath Fitter to install a new bathtub over my existing one in my condominium, since installation, I.ve had ongoing issues-the water won't drain properly and sits in the old tub. They've come to my home at least seven times and even drained the water twice, but the problem persists. Now they say they need to install a new bathtub but are telling me I have to remove the bathtub door myself, even thought I was assured everything would be handled by them, they also reinstalled my bathtub door incorrectly twice. The entire experience has been frustrating. Their work has been unprofessional, and they have not delivered what was promised. I do not recommend Bath Filler-save your money and go with reliable company. I'm now preparing to take legal action. read more

Bath Fitter conversion, Dec. 2024. Product: A+. Customer Service: F-. PROS: 1) I needed an upgrade to one bathroom: a shower - tub combo. The design consultant who came to my home was excellent. He did a great job of showing me all the options and did not try to sell me anything I didn't need or want. He explained the process perfectly - how long it would take to receive the materials, do installation, etc. 2) the materials arrived here in CA sooner than expected. So the project would be underway ahead of schedule. An appointment was made. They arrived on time. 3) Technicians I dealt with were extremely nice, professional and competent. VERY good at what they do. The end product is BEAUTIFUL. I am thrilled with the new shower/tub/ It has markedly increased the value of my property. CONS: 1) When the technicians arrived for the installation appointment, they opened the back of their van and in the 40 minutes it took for them to drive from the warehouse to my home, the "wall" portion of material had incurred a 22-inch split down the middle. I had set aside the entire day to be home for this installation. There was nothing they could do. The materials had to be ordered again and a new appointment set. So they left. ** Here's the BIG FAILURE IN BATH FITTER CUSTOMER SERVICE. That first cancellation was HUGELY inconvenient for me. CUSTOMER SERVICE NEVER CONTACTED ME to apologize for the mishap and confer about the plan going forward. Ultimately, I had to track them down, which was a lesson in frustration. They give you a number to call, but (no surprise), YOU CAN NEVER REACH AN ACTUAL PERSON. I tried that first time and was on "hold" for 20 minutes. I finally gave up. ** 2) A Bath Fitter rep finally reached out to me several weeks later to schedule appointment #2. A fabulous installation technician arrived, by the name of Marshall. VERY professional, friendly, efficient. He arrived on time and got to work right away. He was here for approximately 7 hours. Wall was up. New fixtures were installed. He went out to his van to get the tub. Brought it in, and -- there had been a major miscalculation in the original measurements and the tub cover he had was too small for the existing tub. So the bathroom was left as is for 3 weeks. (Not a problem for me, as I have a 2nd bathroom). Bath Fitter "customer service" FAILED a second time, because of course, after this MAJOR SNAFU, I didn't hear a word from them. I tried calling again, and sent an email. Could not each a 'live' person. Finally I received a response to my email. A gentleman also called, but when I tried to call back, all I could get was his voice mail. I left two messages. He never did return my call. 3) A Bath Fitter rep finally reached out - again - for appointment #3. Luckily, the technician who arrived was again Marshall. I was relieved to see him, since he knew everything involved in this ongoing project. He had the correct tub with him. He was here another 3 hours or so, and completed the upgrade. I can't say enough good things about Marshall. He clearly knew exactly what he was doing, and was a pleasure to deal with. I can't say enough negative things about Bath Fitter Customer Service. When they're selling you their product, they're solicitous and prompt. If you need them in the midst of major problems such as I had - they are inaccessible. Seriously Bath Fitter -- for what's involved in these projects, SURELY you can do better. I'm thrilled with this end product, but when it comes time to do my second bathroom, I'll hire a different company. I can't bear the idea of ever again trying to reach someone in the oxymoron that is their "Customer Service". read more

Overall, we are happy with the new "roll-in" shower, although we were told it would be a flat transition and there is actually a small "ramp" which makes it not a true roll-in. (Be sure to clearly communicate your requirements!) The installer, Wade, was really great. He completely removed the old shower down to the studs, completed repair work on the infrastructure, sub flooring, and old, funky plumping, and even pointed out a dangerous issue with the water heater that we were not aware of before. I would just recommend checking and double-checking the final parts list to make sure everything is accounted for. The installers bring whatever is on the picking list, but nothing extra. For a completely new ADA roll-in shower, sub flooring and plumbing repair, and 2.5 days of labor, I feel the price was very competitive and $10K less than our other contractor's quote!! I feel good about recommending Bath Fitter as long as you verify your order carefully. read more
