I recently had the catfish meal with scrambled eggs and hashowns. The meal was good but the wait time was extremely long. My party was there for more than one hour. Waitstaff was very busy which affected the customer service received. Ambiance was busy with music playing in the background. FYI, this place is BYOB, go to the market next door if you want alcoholic beverages.

Visited today and I am happy to say I will be back the next time I am in Chicago. We tried the French toast flight and our favorite was the caramel and lemon. Absolutely delicious. I had the Alfredo omelet and whoever came up with this idea I can'tthank them enough. On top of that my husband had the sausage omelet and he is very judgemental and he ate every bit of it. The crusted potatoes were awesome and the mini crab cakes were on point. If you are ever in Chicago and you like a good breakfast GO!

I will walk miles to get to the French Toast Flight. It is really that good! Overall, my visit went well. Short wait time on a packed day. The server was okay. I wished she would have checked on us a little more. The Good? The chicken sausage is packed with flavor. Don't be fooled by its appearance. It's so yummy. The Great? You can NEVER go wrong with ordering the french toast. It's amazing. The Okay? The banana waffle was drowned in sauce making it too soft for my liking. Not terrible, but not great. This is a restaurant I will definitely visit again.

A short uber trip to Lincoln Park on Thursday AM, we chose here for our breakfast. Seeing they had several locations, I was concerned about it being a chain and not having that certain charm - but all that went out the window when upon walking up - the front glass door was boarded up from being broken. Large seating area - they do have a live waitlist on Yelp to utilize but we never had to as there was plenty of seats available. I ordered the breakfast burrito which had cheese hashbrowns, as well as eggs and bacon. The cheese wrap was soft and the ingredients were very good. Served with their own hot sauce - this was a very good start to the trip food-wise. I also picked at the French toast flight - which were very good and there were several flavors as well as a weekly flavor added. Our server was great - friendly and attentive.

I've avoided this location since it's opening bc I heard they had problems. Welp, I'm guessing they have resolved them because I truly enjoyed my breakfast. Restaurant is a lot larger than the city location and even offers outdoor seating. Service was very professional and personable. Wished the food had been hotter, but it was good.

I had forgotten that B&B opened a location in Olympia Fields. I popped in on Saturday morning and got turned out. The catfish with eggs and cheesy hashbrowns were outstanding. I ordered the waffle flight also. Strawberry, blueberry, pecan caramel, and lemon. Didn't make any sense to be so blooming delicious. Went back a few Sayurdays later and had the chicken and shrimp alfredo with cheesy hashbrowns and a small order of creme brulee French toast. Full blown turned out. Straight-up yum. This location gets crowded, but there is enough space to accommodate everyone. I like the whole vibe of this location, from the hostess to the servers to the output from the kitchen.

Next day photo of eggs, hash browns, catfish and apple waffle.

The service was very good. Marcia was thoughtful, helpful and attentive. Upon entering we were told about a 20-30 minute wait, but they said it would be less, and it was less than 15 minutes. The food was mostly good. The catfish special with eggs and hash browns was amazing. The fish was fresh, flavored well and the eggs/ gouda cheese were tasty. The apple waffle was lacking. We have seen other waffles here before, but this was a deflated looking presentation. 3 meager apple slices on top, just soured that part. The waffle was very sweet, and over 'cinnamon-ed'. I wished that I just gotten a French toast flight, which never is a disappointment (definitely will, next time). The chicken fajita omelet was OK. Tasty but, the cheese distribution was uneven (mostly in the eggs). We BYOB'd with the 1/2 carafe mix of orange and cranberry juices and it was on point. Will come again. The manager was friendly and helpful as well.

I visited during a Saturday afternoon and was surprised with how empty it was. It was one other family that were in the middle of their meal so I was a little nervous. Luckily, the emptiness wasn't related to the quality of the food because it was good. The crawfish etouffee was well seasoned and had a bit of a kick to it if you enjoy spice. They do have a full service bar with cocktails; I ordered a mixed drink and while it tasted fine, I could hardly taste any alcohol in it. The service was also a bit slower than I'd imagine considering that it was empty when I dined. Despite those minor shortcomings, I enjoyed my dining and would keep it on my list of places to consider in the future.

They enjoyed the poboys and thought the fried green tomato on it was an interesting touch. I ordered the vegetarian jambalaya, fried green tomatoes, and fried buffalo mushroom. Overall, I feel like everything, I ordered, was lacking in seasoning. The fried green tomatoes were good with dipping sauce. The batter on the mushrooms were on the soggy side; they might do better to cut the mushrooms instead of serving them whole. The jambalaya was too soupy. Traditional jambalaya doesn't have a liquid/soup to it. The jambalaya was more like a veggie étouffée. I would visit again to try the vegetarian jambalaya and, maybe, have the fried green tomatoes again.

It's no exaggeration when I say that my dining experience at Maple Tree Inn was one of the best…read morerestaurant experiences I've ever had! My niece and I couldn't believe this was our first visit, especially after hearing so many great things. This place is incredibly popular, so I definitely recommend making reservations. After checking in, we waited less than five minutes and struck up a fun conversation with two lovely ladies who were also first-timers. It was the perfect start to the evening. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and inviting, with Mardi Gras beads and colorful carnival masks throughout the restaurant that give it so much character. Our server was fantastic. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name, but he was friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations made choosing from so many tempting options much easier. Now let's talk about the food... EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious! To kick things off, I ordered the Creole Voodoo Zombie, and my niece had the Hurricane. Both cocktails were fantastic and set the tone for an amazing meal. My niece is an excellent cook herself and has dietary restrictions, so dining out can often be disappointing. That's what made this experience even more special--she genuinely loved every bite. We started with the crab cake appetizer and the BBQ shrimp appetizer, and both were packed with incredible flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the blackened ribeye, swapping the broccolini for the collard greens (worth the $3 upcharge!). The steak was perfectly cooked, and those collard greens were phenomenal. My niece chose the blackened red snapper étouffée, and she couldn't stop raving about it. Even though we were completely full, we couldn't leave without dessert. We shared the Mississippi Mud Turtle Brownie topped with marshmallow fluff and the strawberry shortcake. Our server suggested pairing the brownie with a butterscotch liqueur, and I'm so glad I took his recommendation--it was the perfect finishing touch and complemented the dessert beautifully. We've been talking about this meal ever since we left...and that's probably the biggest compliment I can give. In fact, we were so impressed that we made reservations for next weekend before we even left--and we're bringing two friends with us! Perfect for: Date nights, celebrations, or anytime you want a memorable meal that's worth planning ahead for. Maple Tree Inn absolutely lived up to the hype. 10/10--highly recommend!

My last visit was when they were still on Old Western Ave in Blue Island--way overdue for a return. Let's start with the food--absolutely delicious. The three of us kicked things off with the Cast Iron Cornbread, and trust me, don't skip it. Perfectly done and a great start to the meal. For mains, we went with the Pitmaster's N'awlins Gumbo, Hickory Buttered BBQ Shrimp, and Burnt Ends. Every dish was spot on--flavorful, well-executed, and clearly made with care. The restaurant itself is pristine--clean, polished, and classy without feeling stuffy. Service was just as strong. Our server, Nick, was attentive, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Safe to say, it will NOT be another 30 years before my next visit. Highly recommend.

It's in Flossmoor, IL. I'm so happy to do this review on them. We went on a Tuesday and although I had in mind what I wanted to order from the regular menu, we arrived while their Happy Hour was still going on so we decided to take advantage of their tacos for Taco Tuesday and their guacamole. The guac and chips came out first. It looked so fresh and when I tasted it, the angels were singing! Delicious. Then came the tacos - I was surprised how big they were, filled up with good stuff. I had the steak and the chicken. Both were good but I liked the steak best. I had had a challenging workday so I treated myself to the Lemondrop Flight as I love lemondrop martinis. You can pick three from the flavors of original, passion fruit, watermelon, mango and strawberry. The presentation is beautiful in what they bring it in. Toya, one of the owners made it herself and she is definitely a good at making drinks. I enjoyed them immensely. This place is a total VIBE - small, intimate and cozy. They play R&B that takes you back to the 80s and 90s - we were thoroughly enjoying it. Many come in and sit at the bar where there are two large screen TVs. They also have a small outdoor seating when the weather is nice. We were really enjoying our time there. We had the best wait staff - Chris was super cool, engaging and just plain nice. He was informing us of all the events they have there which piqued my interest. Toya also came over and talked with us and I complimented her on the restaurant and promised her that I would definitely be back and would bring others. I have already posted about them on social media and many of my friends are planning on seeing what they offer. For dessert, I ordered the Turtle Cheesecake. I'm kind of a cheesecake snob because my late Mother made the best cheesecake. The presentation of their cheesecake was gorgeous. The caramel drizzle and nuts on it was inviting. One bite and I was SOLD! I was too full to eat the entire big slice they gave me so I worked on it some more when I got home. This place opened in 2023. I wish them the best because they definitely have something there. I can't wait to come back there, it's a place to come, relax, eat good food and enjoy the positive environment that there. Check out their weekly events, brunch and live entertainment on Saturdays. Thank you Poppin' Corks, A+!!

She recommended Poppin Corks Bistro. I passed by several time, and being solo, I was looking to get a seat at the bar rather than in the main dining area. There has never been a time that I passed that there was a seat open at the bar, so I sat in the main dining area this one time. I ordered blackened catfish with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. This was a hit. It was full of flavor without going overboard with seasoning. And I appreciate that it was cooked to order. It made up for the cranberry juice being water with a "hint" of cranberry juice, an indication that it probably came from a tap. Service was top and one of the owners made rounds to check on customers. I may stop by again at some point in the future. It would certainly be a welcomed break when I am taking respite from cooking at home.
