I used to wish there was a used car dealership where all the salespeople were friendly, all the cars looked like they were brand new, and all the prices were ridiculously low. But I didn't think a place like that really existed. Guess what? It really does! When my hubby and I saw the 2014 Altima listing on Bay Luxury Autos, we thought it was too good to be true. The car looked brand new with less than 40,000 miles, had all the extras we were looking for like a back-up camera, and was selling for a ridiculously low price. So we drove up to Daly City and met with Han, the sales guy. Since the car was priced so low, we were pretty sure that there must be something wrong with it. So we looked at the car from every angle, opened every door, checked under the hood, looking for any signs of damage. The only thing we noticed was that one wheel was smudged due to being pulled too close to a curb. That was it. We chalked that up to normal wear. No big deal. We didn't see any reason to mention it. The car drove like it was brand new. During the test drive, Han said he noticed one wheel had smudge marks from pulling too close to the curb and it would be replaced tomorrow. My hubby and I just stared at each other. We couldn't believe they were just going to take care of that without even being asked. Wow. Next we walked inside and talked with the numbers guy, Kyle. We were waiting for Kyle to say, "Oh, wait, we made a mistake. That price is for an Altima S. This car is an Altima SV, so with all those extras the price is higher." Nope. The price was as stated. I did ask if there was much wiggle room in the price. Kyle said there was very little profit margin on these cars, and since he'd just added 4 new tires on our car and now would also be replacing that one smudged wheel, he couldn't come down on the price. My hubby and I were fine with that. The price was more than fair; actually it was more like a steal after seeing the higher prices of other 2014 Altimas that were nothing more than beat up old rentals with lots of miles and without the extras like our car had. I purchased a beautiful 2003 BMW Z4 from Kyle ,the Salesperson at this Dealership for $16,295.00 on July 22, 2022 on my birthday. After taxes and other miscellaneous fees, the total price was $18,680.48.. A month and 9 days after I purchased the car. I began having an issue with the Automatic/Stick Shift as one time it slipped off the automatic shift so that was a bit frightening. I was not feeling safe in the car. The final frightening thing happened when I was driving on the main downtown highway and was coming to a red light and the car just suddenly stopped. I had it towed back to the Dealership. I had a friend drive me back to the Dublin, to the Dealership where we met again with Kyle. There was not a car that I wanted to exchange it for, so my guy friend and I sat with Kyle for quite some time and the final outcome was that he gave me a check for only $13,750.00 because there was no warranty after two days. He keeps the car to sell again and I lose over $5,000 and there was nothing I could do with the outcome! So, BEWARE! I see there are other Reviews that express the unethical dealings and wished I would have read them before this literally "Highway Robbery" experience. .If I lived closer, I would go around telling potential buyers the atrocious experience I had with the horrific way they handled this situation. read more

Very odd experience while test driving a car. I test drove an Audi A7 back in December. The experience itself was fine, the associate was friendly but when I got back home I received inappropriate messages from one of the sales men. I'm a younger female, and did not appreciate being accosted after simply test driving a car. I only gave them 1 star because I have too. What they really deserve is a ZERO. Buyer beware! These guys are total scam artists. Do not let their name fool you. My experience with them was about as luxurious as a root canal. We are a family of teachers, so a car, even a used one, is a major expense. We did our research and found a good deal on a 2010 Nissan Murano at this place, with pretty low mileage. We arrived on time for our scheduled appointment, and then waited about an hour for a test drive. I took it for a test drive with my father, who is an experienced mechanic, and he gave the green light for purchase. FOUR hours later, i drove out of there in my new ride. That whole time we waited patiently, no one checked on us, no one offered us even as much as a glass of water. We sat down with their sales rep, who talked a good game about how he respected teachers and how he is going to give me the best deal. The best thing he did was talk me into and extended warranty for 2500 bucks, 3 year or 36k miles bumper to bumper. So I drove off in my new ride, and everything was great for about a month...then the noises started, small hissing noises at first, then gradually a whirring whining sound, buy I had to wait to take it in because the warranty had a 6 month waiting period. I took it as soon as I was able, to the Nissan dealership, and was told that the issue was control arms and that it was going to be an expensive job. Luckily, the warranty covered the job, minus the deductible, or else it would have been a $4500 job!!! Flashforward to a year later, and the car started stuttering out of first every time I stopped. So, I brought it in again, and it turned out the entire transmission needed to be replaced. Luckily the warranty covered the majority of the cost, but it was still $1500 for a new transmission. The total on that job was about $6500 bucks To make matters worse, two days after getting a brand new transmission, I notices fluid leaking from the under carriage, and they power steering seems to be making a whirring sound, so, it back to the Nissan dealership repair shop tomorrow for a 3rd time. If youre doin the math here, If I didn't have the warranty, I would have basically paid DOUBLE for this car by now. I have no doubt that these Bay Luxury Auto charlatans knew there were problems with this car, knew exactly what kind of garbage car they were unloading on us, and I feel like such a chump for falling for it. We are humble civil servants, teachers who make humble teachets salary, and these guys took advantage of us. So please, learn from my mistakes and DO NOT by any means purchase a car from this place. They are the furthest thing from "luxury " that I can imagine, and they should be ashamed of themselves for running such a racket. read more

If you buy a car from here, DO NOT BUY A WARRANTY. Bought a car 2 years ago and a 3 year/36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. Started having a starter problem, took it back to their mechanic (which we were told we had to do for warranty). Mechanic called us to tell us he was going to run a diagnostic on it, at which time we reminded him we had a warranty, he informed us it's a $100 deductible as per the warranty. He then calls us back to tell us the car was ready, all they had to do was tighten the battery harness), to pick up and it would be $180. When asked why, we were told, "we didn't have to do any work so we had to charge you for the diagnostic test, plus the deductible for the warranty. Now if I'm not mistaken, a deductible is for services rendered for insurance/warranty services. When we asked the man that sold us the car and the warranty, he said he couldn't find us in the system, didn't know what his bumper to bumper warranty covers and it has been to long to find any info on it. In short, we paid $3000 for a huge question mark. read more

This place is by far the best dealership I've ever been to. I first spoke with Omar on the phone and we set up an appointment. I showed up hours early and right when we pulled up someone came out to help us and he ended up being Omar he was super nice made us feel like a priority. He pulled the car out for us to test drive. We went on our test drive and found a few minor things that needed fixing the car I assumed was a trade in or something it's a 9 year old car so it was to be expected. So we came back and was introduced to Kyle. We sat down with Kyle to run the numbers we were looking to finance so we knew it was gunna be awhile. Kyle answered allllllll of our questions no matter big or small he was very informative of the car I was looking to purchase and he seemed to know a lot about every car we asked about on their lot. If I didn't buy that car, I would have come back to buy this one. Ended up buying the other car. The next day Erin called back to see if I was still interested but I already bought the other one. I purchased a used car here in December and really wish I hadn't. I looked for the car I wanted online, and found one at this dealership. I have since had to repair the car multiple times, and I honestly wish I hadn't bought it, but that's probably more my fault than theirs, so this review is primarily about their customer service. The main person I dealt with was Kyle. There was a problem with the radiator when i test drove the car on the Friday. They said they would replace the radiator and give me a 3 month warranty, so I decided to buy the car. They said they would deliver it to me (in Berkeley) on Monday. So, I make plans to use the car on Tuesday. I drive as part of my job, so having a car (or a plan for a substitute car) when i think I am going to have it is important. On Monday afternoon, no word, so I start calling them. I'd leave a message and no call back, until finally it is apparent I a not getting my car on Monday. So I have to scramble and rent a car for Tuesday. Fine. Kyle drops the car off Tuesday evening. It has a tail light out. OK, whatever. A few weeks later, the check engine light comes on and turns out it is the catalytic converter. Sure, it's an old car, but it's a $1500 repair. It's not covered by the warranty. At this point I'm like, I should have spent $1500 more on a nicer car! So, I call to tell them I am not happy, and Kyle offers to repair it. They're not obligated to, so, sure, they get a point for that. He tells me to take it to a shop in Hayward. So, I drive to Hayward, the guy looks at the car, tells me he he'll order the repair, and to come back next week. So, I call the next week, and the guys phone is disconnected. I call Kyle to find out what's going on, and I have to call several times since he never calls me back. He said the guy is there and gives me the cell number. I take the car there and drop it off, and BART back (this takes like 2 hours). Then the guy calls me and says he can't do the repair. (WTF? Wasn't that the point of me bringing it in that day?) So I have to go pick up the car again, and I call Kyle again. He says I have to take it to another place the following week, as if I don't have a job and have all the time in the world to be driving all over the place. So, the next week I take it to Daly City and BART back (2 hrs), and the next day I go pick it up via BART (2 hrs again, plus the half hour I had to wait in the dealership while they got my car from the garage). I don't think that Kyle had any respect for my time or that I'm a busy person. It was difficult to get him to call me back, to find out what was going on, or to get anything done in a timeline manner. I ended up having to spend 4 half days dealing with one repair, not to mention all the other stuff I had to fix on the car that i didn't want to have done through them. Oh - I almost forgot! They gave me one key and one key fob/keyless entry. The key DOES NOT OPEN THE DOOR. It only does the ignition. So if I lose the fob or it runs out of batteries, i'm in trouble. So i'll have to get a locksmith to make a key that fits the door so i can have a spare. I want to give them one star because it was such an unpleasant experience, but, they get two stars because they did a repair they weren't obligated to do, and a few times Kyle wasn't available I dealt with Sam, who was a lot nicer and usually followed through. read more

It has been over 2 months since I bought my Acura MDX from this team and till this day I am very happy with the car and the experience I had with their Customer Care Representative Rohla! If it weren't for her I would've probably bought another car at another dealership. I found the MDX on Cars.com and requested to see and do a test drive. Rohla immedialtly contacted me and was able to setup an appointment for me. When I initially came in to look at the car I came in with the intention to buy, and had a set price in my head. Rohla set me up for finance with another team member and we were not able to close the deal that would work for both parties and so I walked. =( Rohla then called me back 2 days later to see how my search was going and to see if I was still interested in working another deal that would work for me. She was able to work it out with Finance and get it a lot closer to what I wanted and if she didn't do that, I would have purchased the car elsewhere. I went to this dealership after speaking with several sales associate. There was a specific vehicle I was interested in purchasing. I placed this vehicle on hold on June 11, 2022. The vehicle was sold to my employer for $4,000 after the original owner had died. I became ill & was placed on a medical leave, in my absence the vehicle was sent to the dealers auction where Bay Luxury Autos purchased it. I located the vehicle by its VIN. I contacted Bay Luxury Auto & after speaking with several sales associates I was told to come in & speak with the manager. When I got there I explained the history of the vehicle & me wanting to purchase the vehicle to the manager. I was then asked by the manager to wait 30 minutes for him to wrap up a deal with another client. I agreed. 30 minutes turned into over 3 hours and 30 minutes. One of the salesman noticed I had been there a very long time & asked if I would like to test drive the vehicle. While on the test drive I noticed the back seat & trunk were covered in mold. The spare tire was sitting in a pool of water. About 4 hours later I finally got called into the office to speak with the manager, immediately he begins to discuss finance option I told him I was there to purchase the vehicle in CASH. The manager starts tell me the vehicle is priced over $10,000. I ask asked him if we could negotiate he then starts to tell me the dealership made so many repairs on the car. I advised him I had original photos of the car & could list the repairs that had been done not to mention Kelly Blue Book states the dealers maximum selling price for this vehicle is $6,609.The manager then says to me they have to pay the rent. So unprofessional. He then says he dropped the price on the car already but is willing to come down $500. At this point I am completely offended not only was it implied that I needed financing as if I couldn't afford to buy this car cash, but the car is $3,391 over priced per Kelly Blue Book. I was lied to that there was thousands of dollars in repairs, & to add insult to injury the car is full of mold and there spare tire is swimming in a pool of water. I tell the manager I'm will to pay $7,000 Cash even with the condition of the car being full of mold and water. Which could cause respiratory issues due to the mold being in the upholstery and he says NO he can't do it. He goes on to say ALL the dealerships are pricing their vehicles over Kelly Blue Book. This was a horrible experience, the management is completely unprofessional, the cars are over priced and they are unwilling to correct damages caused while being on their lot. It was very disappointing to have wasted over 5 hours and not leave with the vehicle I came to buy then have to spend $55 in a Lyft to get back home. I had a follow up call with an associate the next day and I explained my experience I then asked if the associate could send an email to the person over the manager or the owner & ask them to call me. It's been 3 days & I still haven't received a call from anyone. I would never treat customer's in this manner nor would I employ such unprofessional management. I buy a car once every five years so recently I was in the market for another vehicle. While I enjoy doing vehicle research, I never like working with dealers when it comes down to making the purchase. Bay Luxury Auto was different though. I never felt pressured to buy a car here. A majority of their vehicles come with a free CarFax report which can be viewed online. Kyle was great to work with, not trying to sell stuff I don't need. He's straight up an honest guy. I will definitely return here for my next vehicle. read more
