Heard there was a new poke place so I had to come try it out. I went with one of their signature bowls (21 salmon) since it had pretty much everything I eat in a poke in it. Just to see, I asked before I ordered whether or not signature bowls can still have added toppings and the guy said yes. So, I went for 21 salmon with no onions. Not really sure if this is typical but he basically made the bowl as if I were ordering it as a build your own poke. I had assumed he would make the bowl and just omit the onions like I asked and add anything I would have requested. Instead, he scooped the salmon and proceeded to ask me what I wanted in my bowl as if it was a build your own. I think the only items I added to it was seaweed salad and ginger. I would say protein portion is a bit small but still filling. To me, I think they give too much rice. The salmon was good was well as the toppings. They have hot Cheeto crumbs which I didn't go for this time but probably next time for sure! They only thing I didn't prefer that they do is that they don't mix the cucumbers with the protein and sauce. They have the cucumbers as a topping. The cucumbers were a bit on the dry side and would have tasted way better if it were tossed with the sauce. If you dine in, they provide a water dispenser if you get thirsty. read more

Went here for lunch on a Friday. First thing that comes to mind when you walk in is the price. $15 for a large poke bowl is not something you see often but after getting mine it was definitely worth the price in my opinion! Got 4 decent scoops of just the Salmon with hot brown rice and all the toppings I like with a lemongrass ponzu sauce on the side ( I like to control the sauce I put in my poke). They were generous with the toppings which was a plus but my favorite part was the abnormal amount of salmon belly mixed in the salmon mixture. This place was pretty good. Not great. I will say that the the sizes of the fish pieces, particularly the salmon, was quite large. Also the mango chunks were larger than normal which very much added to the flavor of the 'Create Your Own Bowl'. The employees for whatever reason seemed to move in slow motion. It's hard for me to compare pokebowl places because I haven't really been to many. The best part about this place I would say is how BIG the proteins are. The fish pieces are HUUUGEE. Its a pretty clean store as well since its new. The service was also well organised compared to this pokebowl place I've been to near Southland mall. I hope this business does well and continues to succeed. Its pretty convenient since its right next to the mall. 4 stars because I think the spam musubis are a bit of a rip off. I customized a regular-sized bowl ($10.50) & it was super filling! I love their toppings options! I made sure to load up on garlic chips & togarashi (2 things I have not seen at the poke spots I usually go to). They also have Chili drops for that extra kick! I added 4 and it was the perfect amount for my spicy cravings. Make sure to check in & get a free scoop of avocado! The only thing I can say I was slightly disappointed in was the size of the scoops of protein. I felt that there wasn't enough in proportion to the rest of the bowl. Finally! I've found my favorite poke spot!! Believe me, I've tried every single one in the area lol. Fish is fresh and good cuts - you're not going to get chewy grisly pieces. Portions are standard but they definitely don't skimp in the toppings. There's not as many topping options as some places but what they have is fresh and delicious. The sauce is a bit heavy-handed imo but I tend to feel that way about most poke places so I just ask for light sauce. I always go with the house shoyu and sesame oil. Crab salad is included, avocado is extra. Greens are always fresh (I go half mixed greens half sushi rice). Make sure you get garlic chips as a topping they're SO GOOD. I was very happy with my past experience at Bayside Poke but today's unwelcoming racist experience really ruined my memory of this place. （For those who are looking for good poke this is still a decent place) A chubby lady was serving me and my friend with very reluctant attitudes and only filled her bowl 3/4 full - while for other white customers the food is almost twice the size of the bowl. I asked to substitute rice with mixed veggies and she only gave about 6-7 leaves (2 of them were added after my second request!) Been going to Bayside for a while now and never left a review. Poke here is always fresh so you don't have to worry about that. I usually get tuna, marinated tuna, and salmon in my bowl. I don't know what they put in their spicy mayo sauce, but you have to get that every time you come here. Also if you're a real spicy lover like I am, add some of those hot drops in your bowl for an extra kick. The two girls that served us today we're very nice, patient and accommodating and very much appreciated them! We ordered regular bowls for each of us and all of them we're great! Yummy little poke spot near my work that is awesome! I love that they have mango and pineapple as toppings. For people that like hot and spicy, add the spicy drops or hot cheetos to your bowl. The place was clean and not at all busy at about 4:30 on a Monday. My pregnant wife loved the garlic chips, but felt she got a little too much of the spicy mayo (she got it as the protein mix and the topping). I got the large with triple tuna, salmon, a free scoop of crab on top of sushi rice with a variety of toppings. I typically eat a lot when I go out and it filled me up quite nicely. This month I have been to this poke location three times. I think it's one of the best poke places in the area. Everything taste and looks fresh. Each time I've been served staff has been very cleanly. But today was a different story. I came in around 3:30 with my family because we were getting work done on one of my vehicles at the Toyota dealership. I noticed there's a new employee. I don't know her name but she is wearing glasses, slightly taller and has a headscarf. I noticed she was in her phone when we walked in. She came up to the counter to help her partner. She didn't wash her hands and didn't put gloves on. She began serving and had to be told to go and wash her hands. While we were eating we noticed her take her break and made herself a bowl. While she was eating she noticed the line was getting long. She quickly finished and while still chewing and without washing her hands began helping other customers. Again with no gloves. I'm still giving this place four stars because all the other times staff were very conscious about wearing gloves and washing their hands. There is a wide selection of fish and toppings to choose from. Some of my favorite fish and toppings include: tuna, octopus, salmon, crab salad, seaweed, green onions and it was all topped with the spicy mayo sauce. The spicy mayo sauce was really good and had a nice kick to it. Staff is helpful and thoroughly explained which items have an upcharge (ex: avocado). Portion sizes are very good for the price. I ordered a large (4 scoops) on their website online for pickup. There was NOT 4 scoops of fish. Maybe 2 scoops max. The bowl was filled almost to the top with rice and the fish was spread thinly over half.
