Got to the restaurant to find an employee locking up the store at 6:45pm, 15 minutes before they're supposed to close at 7pm.

This is one of my favorite poke places in the area. The portions are decent and they have a good amount of toppings to choose from. read more

Whenever I'm craving poke on my lunch break, bayside poke is my favorite poke spot to visit. I've tried all the other poke spots in this area and I'm just so disappointed with how skimpy the fish is served in your poke bowl and the flavor isn't as fresh :( Bayside blew all the other poke spots I've visited out the water! The portion size they serve is super generous, and the ingredients are always fresh. I recommend this spot to all my co-workers and they love it just as much as I do, never a disappointment. Also, don't forget to check in for a free scoop of avocado in your bowl! :) Thanks for keeping my tummy happy, Bayside Poke! read more

Yum! Wonderful Poke and you can order online and go pick up and it is waiting for you. They always get our order right and it is delicious! read more

Heard there was a new poke place so I had to come try it out. I went with one of their signature bowls (21 salmon) since it had pretty much everything I eat in a poke in it. Just to see, I asked before I ordered whether or not signature bowls can still have added toppings and the guy said yes. So, I went for 21 salmon with no onions. Not really sure if this is typical but he basically made the bowl as if I were ordering it as a build your own poke. I had assumed he would make the bowl and just omit the onions like I asked and add anything I would have requested. Instead, he scooped the salmon and proceeded to ask me what I wanted in my bowl as if it was a build your own. I think the only items I added to it was seaweed salad and ginger. I would say protein portion is a bit small but still filling. To me, I think they give too much rice. The salmon was good was well as the toppings. They have hot Cheeto crumbs which I didn't go for this time but probably next time for sure! They only thing I didn't prefer that they do is that they don't mix the cucumbers with the protein and sauce. They have the cucumbers as a topping. The cucumbers were a bit on the dry side and would have tasted way better if it were tossed with the sauce. If you dine in, they provide a water dispenser if you get thirsty. read more

Poke here is quite fresh and it's a healthy meal :) created my own bowl with salad and chose 3 scoops of protein (for the regular)- salmon, tuna, and hamachi! Then you can pick all the toppings you want :) if you check in, you can get a free scoop of avocado! Yummmmm! The restaurant is very clean and not too crowded so finding a spot is really easy! It's also located in the same complex as Gong Cha so you can stop by there after your meal! read more

Went here for lunch on a Friday. First thing that comes to mind when you walk in is the price. $15 for a large poke bowl is not something you see often but after getting mine it was definitely worth the price in my opinion! Got 4 decent scoops of just the Salmon with hot brown rice and all the toppings I like with a lemongrass ponzu sauce on the side ( I like to control the sauce I put in my poke). They were generous with the toppings which was a plus but my favorite part was the abnormal amount of salmon belly mixed in the salmon mixture. Normally when I go to a poke spot it's usually just salmon filet so all that extra yummy salmon belly made a huge difference in my bowl :) read more

This place was pretty good. Not great. I will say that the the sizes of the fish pieces, particularly the salmon, was quite large. Also the mango chunks were larger than normal which very much added to the flavor of the 'Create Your Own Bowl'. The employees for whatever reason seemed to move in slow motion. I got half brown rice/half mixed greens and they seemed to give me a lot more rice than necessary. Overall, this wouldn't be my go to poke spot, but I would return if in the area. read more

It's hard for me to compare pokebowl places because I haven't really been to many. The best part about this place I would say is how BIG the proteins are. The fish pieces are HUUUGEE. Its a pretty clean store as well since its new. The service was also well organised compared to this pokebowl place I've been to near Southland mall. I hope this business does well and continues to succeed. Its pretty convenient since its right next to the mall. 4 stars because I think the spam musubis are a bit of a rip off. They have it as the same price as L&L Hawaiian but are REALLY small in size in comparison. I'd save my $2+ and not get a spam musubi. read more

I came here on my lunch break yesterday and left very satisfied. You can choose from a variety of signature bowls or customize your own. I customized a regular-sized bowl ($10.50) & it was super filling! I love their toppings options! I made sure to load up on garlic chips & togarashi (2 things I have not seen at the poke spots I usually go to). They also have Chili drops for that extra kick! I added 4 and it was the perfect amount for my spicy cravings. Make sure to check in & get a free scoop of avocado! The only thing I can say I was slightly disappointed in was the size of the scoops of protein. I felt that there wasn't enough in proportion to the rest of the bowl. I ended up having to save pieces just to make sure I wasn't left with just rice and toppings. Other than that, I still left full and really enjoyed this place. The staff was very friendly! I'd definitely go back- especially because it's so close to work! read more

Protein amount is small, not much variety. AND!!!!! Never have I ever seen poke with SKINS on them still. Maybe that's a new trend that I am not aware of, so pardon my lag in the new culture. After having a sample taste of the salmon and tuna (which was sorely disappointing due to the lack of freshness and strong fishy odor) I decided not to get anything. But I was very hungry so I got a bowl of greens with all the toppings. Three star for the toppings. The mantis and pineapples were great and the spicy Cheetos topping was nice as well. Sorry I wish I could've left a better review. But I strongly disagree with others about the freshness of the fish. This is by far the worst quality proteins poke I've ever been to. read more

portion sizes are absolutely terrible. not worth the money. they gave out barely any protein, seaweed.

Fresh food and delicious. If you think of something quick delicious and healthy this is the place. They have their own recipes but you can make your own. I also like that they don't close after lunch so you can go anytime :) read more

Finally! I've found my favorite poke spot!! Believe me, I've tried every single one in the area lol. Fish is fresh and good cuts - you're not going to get chewy grisly pieces. Portions are standard but they definitely don't skimp in the toppings. There's not as many topping options as some places but what they have is fresh and delicious. The sauce is a bit heavy-handed imo but I tend to feel that way about most poke places so I just ask for light sauce. I always go with the house shoyu and sesame oil. Crab salad is included, avocado is extra. Greens are always fresh (I go half mixed greens half sushi rice). Make sure you get garlic chips as a topping they're SO GOOD. Last time I went I grabbed a spam musubi. It was ok but I probably wouldn't get it again. Prices are fair. Now I want poke lol. read more

I was very happy with my past experience at Bayside Poke but today's unwelcoming racist experience really ruined my memory of this place. （For those who are looking for good poke this is still a decent place) A chubby lady was serving me and my friend with very reluctant attitudes and only filled her bowl 3/4 full - while for other white customers the food is almost twice the size of the bowl. I asked to substitute rice with mixed veggies and she only gave about 6-7 leaves (2 of them were added after my second request!) During my lunch time, it seemed she was always happy and served with smile to customers who are not Asian. I also witnessed her rudeness to some other Asian customers. What is the problem with you? read more

Been going to Bayside for a while now and never left a review. Poke here is always fresh so you don't have to worry about that. I usually get tuna, marinated tuna, and salmon in my bowl. I don't know what they put in their spicy mayo sauce, but you have to get that every time you come here. Also if you're a real spicy lover like I am, add some of those hot drops in your bowl for an extra kick. They provide tons of topping choices but my favorite is always the garlic chips and crushed hot cheetos. Oh yeah if you're a fan of nachos definitely try out their poke nachos option. Those chips they use are bomb! read more

This is our go-to Poke place in Newark! They always have fresh fish and the sauces are great! Love the free crab salad on the side and finishing it up with garlic chips. The place is clean, easy parking and awesome customer service. They always get our orders right! Definitely recommend! read more

I go out of my way to eat here. The guys running the line are helpful and super chill. The combinations of flavors and choices range are rich, spicy, tart - endless, and all delicious. Crushed hot cheetos? Sounds like a fad topping, but try it once, because it lends a surprisingly nuanced fattiness, spiciest, and crunch. Minus a star because the cuts of fish could be better. Otherwise, a solid go-to. read more

Semi decent, but I'm going to rate it against other poke places. My biggest problem may have been they didn't have white rice and I didn't realize brown rice meant hard under cooked tasting rice that has random hard as rocks pieces in it Other then that they have flaming Cheetos which is kind of interesting, and it's one of the places that charges an extra dollar for a small plop of avocado. read more

Good prices. Great veggie options. Tastes and looks fresh overall. I got 2-3 portions out of 1 order.

Came here today for dinner with my kids. First time they're having build your own Poke Bowls. The two girls that served us today we're very nice, patient and accommodating and very much appreciated them! We ordered regular bowls for each of us and all of them we're great! The fish was very fresh and all ingredients as well. But the most important feedback is from my kids which gave their own custom bowls a thumbs up! We will definitely be back! read more

Bayside Poke - Bayside poke bowl. Sooooo good - Poke Near Me - Newark, California

Yummy little poke spot near my work that is awesome! I love that they have mango and pineapple as toppings. For people that like hot and spicy, add the spicy drops or hot cheetos to your bowl. Also, the portions are huge! I have been here 3 times now and I always get the regular bowl. They stuff the topping in the bowl it is hard to put the lid on! I kid you not, one time it was so full the lid would not close (or at least was sketchy and going to pop off at any moment). The employee actually wrapped my bowl in Saran wrap! He just did this automatically so it must happen often! read more

I'm going to be hella honest in this review, sorry not sorry. For $13 small poke bowl, you should be getting WAY more than what this place gives you. I would DEFINITELY recommend going up the street and getting Sunfish Poke, the portions are way larger and it's cheaper! I came to eat lunch not get fed like I'm a 2nd grader. They have the smallest pieces of fish ever, with dried out veggie toppings. And they were only open for an hour when I arrived, how to veggies dry out that fast?? When this place opened it was ok maybe the first two times I came, then went totally downhill. I won't be back and I'm warning yall now! read more

I was craving some sushi, but my usual spots were closed (it was only 4pm on a weekday) so when I found this place was open I figured why not. The place was clean and not at all busy at about 4:30 on a Monday. My pregnant wife loved the garlic chips, but felt she got a little too much of the spicy mayo (she got it as the protein mix and the topping). I got the large with triple tuna, salmon, a free scoop of crab on top of sushi rice with a variety of toppings. I typically eat a lot when I go out and it filled me up quite nicely. The sushi was all very fresh tasting with a great texture (I didn't get a single tough piece) Considering the low price tag compared to a standard sushi night it was amazing. read more

First time trying Bayside. I was looking forward to trying it since I heard really good review about it. My poke bowl was delicious. Amount was very generous and has lots of options and toppings. The size was very large, if it's for yourself it's plenty to get the regular. They really pack it for you. This month I have been to this poke location three times. I think it's one of the best poke places in the area. Everything taste and looks fresh. Each time I've been served staff has been very cleanly. But today was a different story. I came in around 3:30 with my family because we were getting work done on one of my vehicles at the Toyota dealership. I noticed there's a new employee. I don't know her name but she is wearing glasses, slightly taller and has a headscarf. I noticed she was in her phone when we walked in. She came up to the counter to help her partner. She didn't wash her hands and didn't put gloves on. She began serving and had to be told to go and wash her hands. While we were eating we noticed her take her break and made herself a bowl. While she was eating she noticed the line was getting long. She quickly finished and while still chewing and without washing her hands began helping other customers. Again with no gloves. I'm still giving this place four stars because all the other times staff were very conscious about wearing gloves and washing their hands. Today was the same with the exception of this one employee. read more

Soo tasty and very well priced for the amount you get. I was apprehensive about hot Cheetos as a topping but it was just a light dusting and not too overpowering. They charge extra for avocado and are a little stingy with the masago, which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. read more

Awesome poke place! My fiancee and I stopped by while we were in the area and we were both craving poke! While the prices are a little high, it is worth it because the fish is so fresh and tasty. There is a wide selection of fish and toppings to choose from. Some of my favorite fish and toppings include: tuna, octopus, salmon, crab salad, seaweed, green onions and it was all topped with the spicy mayo sauce. The spicy mayo sauce was really good and had a nice kick to it. Staff is helpful and thoroughly explained which items have an upcharge (ex: avocado). Portion sizes are very good for the price. I would defiantly come back in the future. read more

So much better now. Came here on Wed, apparently you get $2 off after 3pm on Wed. Also got BOGO since it's my birthday. The portion of the fish was generous and the toppings were decent. Now that I live closer, I can come here more. read more

Food taste good. Bigger portions than other poke places . The place is clean with good service .

Not worth coming here anymore. Quality has changed and the new owners are stingy. Definitely not the same bayside

My best friend and I we're craving poke and decided to try Bayside cuz it had good ratings. You can order in-store, online, or on the phone(correct me if I'm wring on the last one). Make sure to speak loudly when ordering in-person bc of the glass. I got a regular sized 3-protein bowl with salmon, tuna and mixed greens as a base. They have a good variety of protein and sides. And even have an option for hot Cheeto dust on top - that's different. I tried it, pretty good actually! Idk if I was just hungry, but it was really good! I usually struggle to finish even a regular sized bowl, but I had no problem this time. The fish tasted fresh. And overall it was just really satisfying. Would recommend :) read more
