Listed as Best of JAX. We waited quite a while for soup to be served. We were pretty excited to try their crab bisque, but it was waaay over-seasoned with salt. Shared their crispy calamari, which was also salty and too oily, but at least the lemongrass sweet chili dipping sauce helped mask it. Their margherita pizza was fine, not as salty, but not memorable. Server was nice, but spent more time tending to other guest tables. They tucked us in the corner booth, took our order, served us and dropped off our bill. We had to ask for an extra plate for sharing and ask for a to-go box for half of our pizza. Let me start by saying our server, Shanika, was amazing. You could tell she literally knew that kitchen as if it was her own. She gave excellent recommendations and was just so personably parting felt like leaving a friend's home. Now to the food & such.... I'll be honest, I'd never bothered to even shop at Nordstrom's but I heard there cafe was nice according to the #YelpEliteSquad so we checked it out. Ambience: 4 Food: 5 Service: 5 Total: .5 (4.5) Listen. It's already enough to go into an establishment that you've never been to & be indecisive. You never know if the server is going to be patient with you or stand there and look at you in your face waiting. It certainly wasn't the latter. Not only that she went and actually gave us samples so that we knew exactly what we were getting ourselves into. My friend one is at the light but feeling so decided to go for a soup but couldn't decide between chicken and beef pot pie soup or the crab bisque soup... Crab is one hands-down. Personally it's not my preference to have a crab bisque soup with so much tomato but since it was fresh and you definitely could sell I decided to enjoy it than to critique it after all that wasn't even my food I ordered the shrimp chitarra with extra herbs and parm. I left no sign or trace of the dish. It was so good. The spinach really bought the dish together. Shanika mentioned dessert and I caved in like house of cards... nothing initially caught my eye on the menu so I dared to ask her was there anything else that was not on the menu. She suggested Tiramisu, which just so happens to be my favorite, and oh my God was it delicious I could really go for another one right now with my fat tail. Phenomenal lunch venue, delicious food, not the fastest service. The cilantro lime shrimp salad is my favorite! It comes with organic baby greens, romaine lettuce, wild shrimp, petite tomatoes, grilled corn, jack cheese, tortilla crisps, & extremely delicious cilantro lime vinaigrette! We stopped by Bazille for lunch, and I am so glad that we did! Who knew such a great place existed in a department store. We went with appetizers and soup for a light lunch. They have a hidden item you can ask for, the tomato jam. It's a jam jar with layers of tomato, pesto and ricotta cheese with thin toasted bread to spread it on. Phenomenal flavors and textures were perfect together. The tomato basil soup was great, but the best thing was the brussel sprouts - never had better. Make a reservation ahead of time, to avoid a wait. Staff (Monica) was special, she told us about the jam. She made a great experience even better. read more

I've been coming to Bazille since they opened and have always had a stellar experience. Their crab bisque soup is hands down the best soup I've ever had and a must order! The restaurant is a bit on the smaller side, so I would recommend reservations Friday-Sunday. Bazille is unique because of its location and its quality surpasses many restaurants in the area. Being on the second floor of Nordstrom, its convenience to shopping allows shoppers and non-shoppers to escape for a bit with some great food. Danielle, our server, provided excellent & timely service. We ordered a Manhattan and a cucumber cooler as well as the heirloom tomato & buratta cheese app. Bazille prides itself on making everything fresh daily from scratch. This is app is a prime example of this! Highly recommend. I also ordered the warm Thai chicken salad. Flavors married well and the dressing was light and balanced. I received the shrimp salad initially, but Danielle quickly made it right, and she boxed the shrimp salad for me to take home. My husband ordered the southwest club sandwich. Their shoestring fries are the only thing that's not made in house daily. Bazille is conveniently located within Nordstrom at Saint Johns Town Center. The have an escalator and an elevator which can bring you to the second floor where it is. I came here with my mother for lunch after shopping at the Nordstrom. We were greeted by two friendly female hostesses who promptly sat us at a high top table (their are regular tables and booths). There is a floor to ceiling window that over looks the part of the town center but we were not seated close enough to see down only out. However, because of this window we had sunshine coming in which made for great lighting and it was warming to my back. We ordered the French Onion Soup, the Berry and Dried Fig Salad and the Prosciutto, arugula pizza. We were given bread and butter while we waiting and a large glass of water to fill our regular sized glasses of water. When the soup came (it came out before the meal) it was perfect! Just the right temperature and the cheese was a perfect savory flavor! Delicious. The Salad was also incredible, their was just the right amount of goat cheese and berries, also nuts. The pizza was phenomenal, I have never had arugula as a topping on my pizza but it did not disappoint! It gave the pizza a nice crunch and kind of made me feel like I was eating a healthy pizza (Yeah Right!) and the prosciutto was oh so yummy! We ended up splitting the bill and after tip spent $20 each, which was reasonable for the quality and portions of food. We did have left overs but our bellies were very satisfied! On a side note, the bathrooms are not located inside the restaurant but are acutally located just outside of the restaurant, to the left in between women's lingerie and clothing (where the elevator is). read more

Nestled in the upper recesses of this upscale department store (Nordstrom) you will find on the second floor Bazille- a casual modern kitchen that puts out the awesome. The kitchen is in full view of the public with booths situated right up to a window so you can catch the culinary play by play as your food is being prepared. We used Open Table to secure a spot at 8:15pm but we had clearly missed the Friday dinner rush as there was plenty of seating. Everything was excellent. Jackson was our server and he took fantastic care of our table. Our two year old couldn't take her eyes of the Sous Chef - Nika- shouts out to both of you guys!!!! The meal was executed and delivered with relative speed and the quality was amazing. Not many can make Brussel sprouts appealing but somehow they managed to make them awesome. I've been coming here for years and service and the food has always been great. However today, great service nor great food happened. We arrived at 1pm on a Saturday for lunch. We were promptly seated. Greeted about 10 mins later by our waiter. We ordered our drinks and food all together. Our drinks came about 10 mins later. They brought my friend the wrong drink. But the food...that took almost an hour to arrive, ravioli and a burger and fries. The restaurant was not busy at all. The fries were soggy and greasy. The burger was cooked well done when it was requested to be medium. Will I be coming back? Probably not. read more

I had no idea that there was a restaurant inside Nordys! Its on the second floor overlooking the parking lot...weirdly, its a pretty good view! I was lucky enough to be part of the Yelp Elite event as they changed their seasonal menu to their Spring/Summer fare. They spoiled us with some truly awesome offerings. We were served three of their signature cocktails, GM75, Basil Cucumber Cooler and the Wine Street. They were all really delicious, but i think the Wine Street was my favorite! They also provided us with bite sized (sometimes more!) portions of some of their favorites: Bistro French Fries w/Kalamata Olive Aioli (get extra!!), Crab Bisque w/Micro Basil (get a BUCKET to carry out!), Heirloom Tomato Burrata (was fresh and herbaceous), Crab Mango Avocado Salad (while it was fresh, not my favorite), Baby Gem Caesar Salad (perfect amount of anchovies and dressing), Skirt Steak Romesco (probably not my favorite) and wrapped up with a bite of White Chocolate Bread Pudding (it was not overly sweet, which was a nice way to end the meal). The General Manager (our host) was very informative and it was clear he took pride in his role. He talked through the perks of being part of the Nordstrom family in addition to explaining the wonderful dishes and beverages we were partaking in. Bazille simply does not get enough attention or credit, if you ask me! Yes, it's located on the second floor of Nordstrom, but it is a hidden gem of a restaurant filled with all sorts of treats. The atmosphere here is very elegant and romantic, featuring an open-kitchen concept and dimmed lighting. Vine Street is my favorite cocktail, and the staff is always happy to tweak it a bit per my request. I have probably tried half of the items on their food menu by now and have not been disappointed once. Crab bisque and the French dip sandwich (both on the lunch specials menu as well) are excellent and are my personal favorites. Oh, and I have to mention that although I am not big on ordering dessert at restaurants because I tend to go overboard with the savory entrees, I did manage to try the white chocolate bread pudding with whipped cream and raspberries, and it is worth every calorie. Bazille is a true hidden gem at the St. John's Town Center. The restaurant is located on the second floor of Nordstrom and is never too crowded. The ambience is very relaxing and it's never loud where you can't hear others that you're enjoying a meal with. I met up with two of my closest girlfriends for lunch (we love this spot!). The menu isn't too large but has something for everyone! We started with the Kung Pao Brussels Sprouts. These ladies and gentlemen are to die for! They are so savory and the flavor just takes over your palette. I want to find a recipe similar I can make at home because they're so good! Sometimes the waiter/waitresses will bring bread and butter to the table(today we had to ask for some). For entrees, we all enjoyed the warm glazed chicken Asian salad. I love this salad because it's so flavorful with the glazed chicken and mandarin oranges with a seasame dressing. Yum! We also got a side order of the herb fries to share. Overall, this restaurant is great for small groups or catching up with friends. We had a delicious lunch here yesterday but sometimes the food is inconsistent. On previous visits I wouldn't have scored this place so high. I've had really salty food here but yesterday is was great. Other than the occasional salty food, the food is always delicious. Go for the deviled eggs and soup, we always love the soups here. We just happened upon this little restaurant while wandering through Nordstrom's. To be honest it was the bar that drew me there but the meal we got was extraordinary. Who would've thought a little restaurant in a department store would be so fantastic but it was. We had the deviled eggs as starters and they were absolutely delicious. I got the seared salmon salad with capers and kept getting little culinary delights as I worked my way through it. I would suggest letting them dress it for you. We got the chocolate mousse cake for dessert and the caramel sauce that came with it was one of the best things I've had in a while. This place was absolutely amazing and I would highly suggest going there even if you are not shopping. It has a pretty nice view of the apartments and other business if you can get a table near the window. There are only around 6 tables there, so get there and hope for the best. Overall a pretty decent quiet place to grab lunch. The food was okay. Nothing to write home about and definitely not worth making a second trip. I ordered the French onion soup and the Caesar salad with a cocktail and my mom ordered the burger and a drink! In my opinion it wasn't worth the 59 dollars that I paid, but for the first time and me wanting to give it a try it was decent. I didn't have high hopes considering the limited menu. First off I must say that Bazille makes one heck of a Blueberry Lavender Martini!! I think I've finally found my favorite drink! My first trip to Bazille was with a group of friends the weekend before Christmas. Since Bazille is inside of Nordstrom at the St. John's Town Center I thought it would be a nightmare to find parking so close to the holidays, but surprisingly I found a spot right in front of Nordstrom's!! I took the escalator up to the second level and found Bazille right behind the women's fitness section! It's pretty convenient being able to dine inside a department store/also makes it a challenge if that's all you're trying to do...lol! Anyways, the interior is nice with an open view into the kitchen, some booths under the windowed area that lets you see into the kitchen, high top tables that give you a view out the back windows of Bazille, tables and stools for those sitting at the bar. On my first visit I initially started with a diet coke, but quickly switched to the yummy Blueberry Lavender Martini after I saw a bunch of my table mates drinking them and raving about it! I also went with the Mediterranean hummus and rosemary flatbread as my dish. On my next visit I again had the Blueberry Lavender Martini, but this time I paired it with the prosciutto and arugula salad pizza(the dough for the pizzas gets shipped in from NYC!), both dishes were very good! If anything though, those Blueberry Lavender Martinis alone warrant a trip to Bazille! :-) read more

So glad to have finally made it over to Bazille, after seeing them (and missing the food) at Moonbeam Bash! And, we saved it for a very special double date night, so was really excited about checking out the amazing cocktails... I started with the most intriguing, Smoke and Heat. Mezcal, jalapeno syrup, grand marnier, oj and alderwood smoked sea salt. This drink was different and amazing. The smoke was an unusual and fantastic twist.. that sea salt, was killer. The huge artisan ice cube chill the flavors perfectly, and this was my favorite drink of the night. I also had the Amelia, (grey goose, st germaine, lemon, and muddled blackberries) and it was a nice summery treat. Same for the basil cucumber cooler.. can't beat a drink with cucumber and basil, in my eyes. (or mouth.) Now to apps. We had the calamari, (fantastic with the dipping sauce) and the bruschetta, which was fresh, and flavorful.... and I actually loved the way it was presented, all separate, so we could easily cut bite sized pieces of each component to share. For dinner, I had the Shrimp and asparagus risotto. I really love how the portion sizes aren't so huge here.... it left plenty of room for dessert! The asparagus had a nice char to it (love that) and the risotto was good... just missing a bit of something I can't put my finger on. For dessert, we got the bread pudding and the creme brulee. The bread pudding was fantastic! (It was presented like french toast... love the crispy outside on all the sides, so everyone could enjoy a bite) and the creme brulee was solid. Bazille, located on the second floor of the Jacksonville's Nordstrom, has been an absolutely a wonderful find. I have had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant twice, and both times have been pleasurable. On my first trip, I had the French Dip sandwich with a couple glasses of wine. The sandwich and wine were amazing. I finished the experience off with what has become my one and only favorite martini, the "Blueberry Lavender Martini"...simply delicious! On my second trip, I had the Roasted Chicken & Goat Cheese Panini...amazing. Another glass of wine and a taste of the previously mentioned martini. This time the martini was good, but presentation was lacking as they ran out of martini glasses...how can this happen??? On both occasions, the service was very good and the servers very knowledgeable and accommodating. So on days when I just want to kick back, browse or shop with friends, Bazille will definitely be at the top of my list. read more

As far as the food goes, I find that you can basically close your eyes, pick a dish at random, and it will be DELISH. While I often forget it's here, I always enjoy my visits. Before Nordstrom opened at the Town Center, I got to do a tour of the facilities and culminating that tour was a fabulous tasting of food and beverages at the restaurant upstairs, Bazille! Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted with a scrumptious array of tasty treats off the Bazille menu! Everything is made to order and you can watch the chefs prepare your meals from your table. I've always loved that option! I was very excited to get a sample of their dishes. I had no complaints what so ever!!! The toast points came with a delicious concoction of goat cheese, pesto, and tomato jam. It was amazingly sweet and savory! I didn't try the tartare but I'm sure it was great. The margherita pizza was divine! You can't really mess that up though...can you? The Fried calamari was a hit and I usually don't care for calamari. The sweet chili dipping sauce it came with was a perfect match!This shrimp dish was AMAZEBALLS! It had a peanut buttery thai flavor to it! The cocktails were pretty great too! My friend, Cathy had the Blueberry Lavender Martini and I had the Smoke & Heat, a fancy magarita! The salt around the rim was a smoky sea salt giving the drink a very distinctive yet yummy taste! I also had the Amelia. which had fresh mulberries in it! YUM! Both cocktails were delicious! I surprised myself when I gave this place 5 stars two seconds ago... A restaurant inside a store? Surely it can't be THAT great, but let me assure you it is! Bright, fresh atmosphere coupled with a thoughtful menu is a great getaway from the busy-ness of the Town Center and sticker shock. Came here with a friend of mine for the first time and from the moment I walked it, I forgot I was in a store. They had the soccer game playing at the chic bar directly to your right where you'll catch suit-clad men and beautifully restless women chatting it up over a craftfully made cocktail. We took our seats by the window and enjoyes the quietness and the view from above. Our server Tyler was warm, friendly, professional and helpful in every way. I went with his suggestion of the burger, which was very good: Perfectly cooked as requested (medium) and seasoned. The fries were crispy and I love the housemade aioli with them. Next time I will ask for them to go light or put my sauce on the side; it was good but a little much for my taste because I'm not a huge fan of mayo (If you are, you'd love it). My friend enjoyed the French onion soup and said it was the best she's had in a long time. LOVED the French press coffee and their fabulous cocktail menu. I had a cucumber-gin drink which was refreshing in so many ways. While in Jacksonville, I met a friend at Bazille inside Nordstrom's at St. John's Towne Center. I wasn't aware that Nordstrom's had this high-end bistro located inside of their stores, but then again I don't normally go up onto the second level and wander through the women's intimates area while searching for something to eat. Sure enough, that's just where this place was located. Bazille is a fancy "pinkies-up" type of eatery with craft cocktails, small plates, and lighter fare. Iced tea to start for me, and then it was on to the menu. We started with Bazille's Ricotta and Tomato jam jar which was layers of sweet tomato jam, ricotta cheese, and herb pesto, all served with garlic-studded crostinis. This appetizer had great flavors, and it was a lot of fun to slather the jam onto a crostini. For my main course, I kept it light, and tried the roasted salmon and herbed mushroom risotto. Risotto is one of those tricky rice dishes, cooked in broth, and you either get it right or it turns into a clumpy mess. Thankfully the folks at Bazille did a real nice job, and the mushroom herb seasoning did not overpowered the taste of the rice or the roasted salmon. The restaurant is very popular - especially with women, though I did see a few couples in there. I suspect that it's the perfect place to stop after a busy day of shopping at the mall. They do have a Sunday brunch menu which looks nice if you happen to be in that area. read more

It was clearly a case of Serendipity that we happened upon this cool venue on the 2nd floor of Nordstrom's with a southern view overlooking extensive parking and Seasons 52. With a prompt reservation via Open Table, we arrived on time to find an upbeat and modern restaurant that was happy we had darkened its doors. The experience of dining there seemed to be a very pleasant blur of time because everything seemed to be working perfectly like a rhythm section locking into a jazzy groove to keep the crowd moving and shaking to the beat. Moving on an eclectic and simple menu, the service supported moments very attentively as the kitchen played the melodies on the plates. We did not wonder for long how this new restaurant in an upscale department store in the St. John's Town Center was taking its local competition to school by simply executing the menu selections perfectly. For example, my friend had the steak with an herbed butter sauce and I had the stunning angel hair pasta and chicken....the fresh tomato sauce was bursting with a resilient quality I have rarely seen. Yes, I know your question...where is the "wow" in that? How many of the finest restaurants in Jacksonville, FL could mess that up? Unfortunately, the answer is too many....I will be sending kitchen grade thermometers out for Christmas to the places I forgave. Came here during restaurant week a few weeks back. I was a little skeptical because it's a restaurant that's located inside a department store. Sure, I've been to cafes associated with Nordstrom's, but never a full-fledged restaurant. Let me tell you, I was very pleasantly surprised. First things first. The restaurant is located on the second floor of Nordstrom's in Town Center. The restaurant gives off a very trendy, date-night vibe with its low lighting and comfy, secluded booths. There is a giant window into the kitchen, which is nice because although I do love an open kitchen to see the chefs, I hate the smell and smoke that would typically waft into the restaurant. They fixed this problem by just installing a giant window. The wait staff is very attentive, my water glass was never empty and the libations just kept coming. Like I mentioned earlier, I came during restaurant week. I'm always looking for a good deal, and when you pair that with food...I'm there. Anyway, their 3-course meal was ridiculously filling. For appetizers we ordered their Brussels sprouts and crab bisque soup. Both were delicious, but I would have to give the win to the sprouts. The outer layers were crisp and there was some nice heat added to it with the Thai chilis. For our main course we ordered the skirt steak and their seafood pasta. We ordered the steak medium rare, it came out a little more red than what we wanted, but I'll let it pass since I don't mind a red steak. The pasta was topped with huge pieces of shrimp that were succulent and perfectly seasoned. For dessert, we barely had room for it, we ordered their whites chocolate raspberry bread pudding and blueberry apple cobbler. Clear winner here was the bread pudding. Omg. I wish I hadn't eaten so much of my meal so I could've eaten more of the bread pudding! It was warm, comforting, and just had the right amount of sweetness like a gently hug. Honestly, if you don't order anything else from here, get the bread pudding. You know that feeling. That one you get while you are at the mall or in my case a town shopping center and you know you need to eat, but you don't want to walk down to the food court / restaurant row because it's too far? Nordstrom took care of that. I thought going to the St. Johns Town Center during the last weekend before Christmas would be hazardous enough but I found some brave friends to meet me there to go to Bazille. Parking was painless for me as there was plenty of open spots outside of Nordstrom. Thanks to the previous reviews I was able to find it on the second floor. I highly suggest making reservations before going here because it was wayyyy busy when I got there around noon. I had made reservations for 5 of us but we grew to 9 and thankfully the staff accommodated all of us at two pushed-together tables. Looking around, there's booths, regular tables, several high top tables and of course the bar. The decor is very modern chic to go with the store. There's even a huge window where you can see into the kitchen and watch your dishes being prepped and cooked. I started off with a glass of Moscato but half-way during the meal I switched to the Blueberry Lavender Martini. GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY!!! This is the cocktail of 2014!!! It has vodka, lavender syrup, lemon juice, and blueberries. You know you want one now hahaha. I was trying to decide between the Fresh Berry and Fig Salad and the Flat Iron Steak Frites when I caved and went for the heavy stuff, the Steak Frites. I'll save the healthier eating for another day. For me, this steak was no joke as it was 10 ounces of beef so I was worried that I'd be miserable afterwards. The entree also contained herb butter for the steak, baby arugula salad, and Bazille fries served with kalamata olive aioli. I was taken aback by the aioli because it was light purple in color but a friend reminded me that's the color of the olives. Whew, ok. The Southern girl in me would have liked some kinda steak or BBQ sauce instead of the herb butter but the steak was so juicy and tender it didn't matter anymore. The fries were shoestring size but a good size portion and the aioli made the perfect dip for them. Loved that dip. We were all happy with our entrees and sides for the most part: the French Dip, Pepperoni and Mushroom Pizza, Grilled Shrimp and Asparagus Rosotto, Mushroom Risotto, Hummus with Rosemary Flatbread. We all had no room for dessert afterwards, except for another Blueberry Lavender Martini. Yeah, that was my dessert. When the bill came, there were no surprises. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food presented. I'd definitely come back to this restaurant. Shop in Nordstrom? I dunno about that yet. read more

I dont give five star ratings that often..and I normally reserve them for places I have been more than just one time..but this..this is different. I have had this on my list for a while, and lusted after all the pictures from others..and I have to say that i think this made my experience better..because i had a grasp on some of the items that they do really well and are fan favorites.. Little did i know there are four entrances for Nordstrom and my friend and I would have been waiting at different ones ! I had made a reservation, so once we braved the pre Christmas traffic, found parking, and then found each other, at least it was smooth sailing from there! We were seated in a booth near the kitchen and it was so fun to watch the food being created..My friend and I made the priority of looking over the drink menu first, and i chose the smoke and heat..im a huge fan of a sweet drink with an unexpected spicy twist, and this was perfect for me..my friend wanted a drink that contained ginger beer and was told they were out of that..sadly, she was just about to choose another drink when the waitress (who was awesome by the way) came and told her they JUST got the shipment in, so she could have the drink she originally chose, which she said was like a moscow mule type drink and she really liked it..while we were discussing drinks, we also were told about the specials for the day, and although the creamy potato soup sounded divine, i really wanted to go for the ricotta and tomato jam jar..it just sounds so good, and different..well when it came it did not disappoint..the creamy cheese paired with the pesto and sweet tomato jam, spread on the crispy crostini..it was just so perfect..we both enjoyed it, and really could have made a whole meal of just that!! Just as we were raving to each other about the appetizer, our meals came! really perfect timing..I ordered the roasted chicken and goat cheese panini, and also a side of the mushroom risotto..my friend had the shrimp and asparagus risotto..both meals were greatly enjoyed while catching up on things and exchanging Christmas gifts..we were checked on enough times to be helpful, but not so much that it was annoying, also when one of the staff was refilling our waters, we mentioned to him that we were both so thirsty..so he went ahead and left a bottle of water on the table for us..and water availability always wins points with me! We were brought the dessert menu, and a box for my leftovers, and while i really did want to try some of the bread pudding..I just didnt have the space in my tummy! Our checks came, we were sent off with little chocolates, and away we went! There are so many items on the menu that I want to go back and try, and when the blueberry lavender martini is back I will want to sip that as well! read more

Did you theres a hidden restaurant on the 2nd floor of Nordstrom? Cause there is and its pretty damn swanky. There is an article stating is cost 800k to build it. Ask for extra blueberries cause its free. The vibe is upscale, classy and the kitchen is in a glass room so you can watch them make your noms. Its medium priced, but it's worth it in my opinion. This place has really good food! I stopped by Bazille with a work college on our lunch break. The service was friendly but not very fast. Being that I was going back to work I didn't want to get a heavy lunch so I came to Bazille for their berry and goat cheese salad. Unfortunately they have taken it off their menu, which is a real shame because it was AMAZING! After I got over my depression of the salad being gone I ended up ordering the French Onion Soup and Asian Chicken Salad. The soup was really good, very cheesy and nice taste to the broth, the onions weren't soggy either. The salad was okay but I was plagued with wanting one thing and not being able to get it so it could have been really good but to me it was just my second choice. I will be returning to try the salad again and will update my review if the salad is better when it's not my second choice. However it will be hard to give this place 5 stars without their 5 star salad on the menu. read more

Bazille is located on the second floor of Nordstrom at the St. John's Towncenter, next to the women's athletics department. The intimate space is quaintly modern. The menu selection is just enough to offer variety without being overwhelming. The selection is more cafe-esque, although they do offer heartier , albeit pricier, dinner selection. The window seating provides a view of the parking lot below. It's not the most beautiful view, but it's still fun to creep on shoppers entering and leaving Nordstrom, lol. The food is good, though slightly overpriced. I ordered a $14 chicken panini that came with fries. I will say, Bazille offers their signature "purple sauce" which contains olives to dip the fries in. I liked the novel taste. I probably will come back to eat here but it's not really worth going out the way to try unless you're at Nordstrom. Aside from the food, the service was mediocre. The establishment was pretty empty while we were there. There were a total of 4 tables occupied, including ours, at Bazille, but everything was slow to arrive, including food, checks, etc. Although the server was friendly, he was also slow to take our orders and refill our drinks. read more
