Prolly the best K Fried wings I've had so far. Pretty good menu selection of flavors and options to choose from. Very satisfied with the spicy Galbi and the Gangnam...the Gangnam reminds me more of a Chinese style sauce used on most of their seafood dishes. Very lightly coating yet so crispy...and the moistness of the chicken is unmatched. Definitely looking forward to the location coming to the RGV...and hoping quality stays the same. read more

I went in here to duck out of the crowds from H Mart. Grabbed a seat at the bar, open area, high ceilings and concrete floor, very echo-y. Kpop on the TVs. Modest selection of beers on tap, no liquor, but alright for a chicken place. Certainly more a place you'd go to eat rather than hang out, vibes-wise. It's got more of a family vibe to it than a pub vibe. (The hours kind of reflect that, too.) Grabbed some of their tenders, mild spicy sauce. It's pretty decent. Price is a little high considering the competition in the area. It is admittedly not my cup of tea. I want to like this place because who doesn't love Korean fried chicken? The problem is it's very expensive and the tastes are strange. The batter isn't very crunchy and weirdly tastes like McDonald's chicken nugget batter. The sauce flavors were very bizarre to me. The Secret Sauce tasted like pumpkin spice latte and was very sweet while the Spicy Galbi sauce tasted like hot dogs? Besides the strange taste, neither were spicy even though they indicated they were on the menu. All drinks are bottles or cans. You get 1 free bottle of water, but all others will be $2. Soju is about $12 a bottle. You cannot order a whole order of wings with 2 flavors, so if you want to experiment with new flavors, you have to fork over the extra $6. That's very scummy of them as a company. I'm not sure if it's normal, but the radishes were very soft and I'm used to them being crunchy with kfc. The Takoyaki was actually good though and reasonably priced for $10! Loved the amount of octopus in each ball and the sauces were perfect. Overall, it just didn't spark joy at all to me to spend $60 on 2 baskets of okay chicken nuggets and some Takoyaki. I might come back and try their wings of fire, but Bonchon, HMart, and Seoulju offer much tastier and affordable options. read more

I've been to a few locations and two people getting the medium size is close to $40 and we both, with regular appetites, left with appetites unsatisfied (still hungry.) Sauces are fine! Many choices to choose from, seems fun to try them all. Most are a hit, some are a miss. The chicken is juicy (I suggest the wings over the wingless) for more taste. I first thought about a 2-star rating, but the thing is, it's not like they did anything wrong, so I felt 2 stars is a bit harsh/unfair. Rather, no higher than 3 stars because nothing is exceptional which you might expect from a ~$20 per person lunch. It might be worth checking out once to see if it's for you. It just feels that there is a massive disconnect between the quality of the chicken they serve and what they are charging for it. read more

Personally bbq chicken was my favorite Korean fried chicken spot when I lived in LA and I was so excited when they opened one near me after I moved. This location did not disappoint. My wife and I were at H-mart and headed home but we had heard about BBQ Chicken. We decided to split a medium boneless with the Galbi sauce as a to-go order to give it a shot but not fully commit to a dine-in experience. We decided to try it in the car in the parking lot. We ended up finishing it all right then and there. In fact, the very next day with our friend in town visiting we took her there for a full dine-in experience and it was just as good. The boneless wings are the real star. They're not the usual boneless wings that are just chicken nuggets, they're real chicken thighs. The usual method of Korean Fried Chicken is applied here making them SUPER crispy and delicious. The Spicy Galbi sauce is the real star here (don't worry, it's not as spicy as advertised).
