Bulgogi Korean BBQ Bowl as an establishment serves Korean cuisine that I had optimistically high hopes for. The 4.7 stars rating on google was deceptively misleading. While the staff were really nice, the food was lacking. They told me they did not have salad and would instead supplement with rice but I wish they had explained that this meant I would only get rice and meat. The meat was not terrible but the rice was bland and the price was quite atrocious for the quantity and quality. For two beef bbq bowls after tax and tip I paid $45. A little ridiculous considering what I got. Overall, would not recommend unless you really like paying a lot for meat and rice.

Came here on two different occasions to try their bowls and it did not disappoint. One, the staff are friendly, personable and helpful. Two, I really love the fact that you can personalize your meal from the ingredients to the sauces. I ordered the bulgogi bowl and their chicken bowl and thoroughly enjoyed both. I read a reviewer comment that the bulgogi is not the standard Korean bulgogi meat, but as a Korean, I'd have to say that in the world of modern cuisine now, there are so many different takes on different styles and cuts of meat to various Korean dishes. People are becoming creative while keeping to its traditional essence and flavor. I can appreciate it AND enjoyed it. The proteins are not overcooked, they have a perfect char, and I like the fact that I can adjust the amount of sauce. Tofu was perfectly fried and soft/tender in the center. Avocados were damn near the most freshest I've ever had in a restaurant/meal. I also spoke with the staff and found out their kimchi is made FRESH IN-HOUSE. That's unheard of for most asian restaurants given the time and energy it takes. I would know- I make kimchi with my mom. I really appreciate this restaurant's effort and approach to ingredients. All in all, will definitely be back whenever I'm back in Austin!

I want to preface this by agreeing that this isn't your traditional bulgogi. I'm also not Korean so take that with a grain of salt. Service was great! The girl working the register took our order like any other restaurant, nothing to brag about. I do appreciate that the owner/cook? came by to check on us and see how we liked everything. Food was quick to come out and the barley tea is a nice touch. The seating area isn't ginormous but plenty of seating if you're not in a rush. The lighting is nice and love the tv playing music (k pop and other Korean music of course ) The food was good. Again, nothing to brag about but it wasn't "inedible" like some folks on here complained about. It was good and would be a nice spot to grab a quick bite. I wish the pork was like actually thin sliced pork bulgogi but not sure if it's because they're a new establishment that they went that route to use a "pork chop" style meat.

I ordered through UberEATS. I was actually pretty suprised! This was genuinely good. The meat was well seasoned and the portion was lovely. I wish my egg rolls were a little bigger. Next time I'll order two eggs and more sauce on the side. I will definitely order again in the future.

It's a simple, casual spot that replaced Me So Poke (RIP). Service was friendly and counter style. Space was clean and modern. I feel bad for writing this, as it's such a new establishment. But unfortunately, if you're looking for actual bulgogi like the name suggests, you will not find it here. The bowls here are moderately customizable and just mildly inspired by korean cuisine if you could call it that. Rather than marinated, thin sliced meat, the 'bulgogi' here is more like chargrilled cutlets that are smothered in sauce after the fact. Meat has a nice, smoky flavor, but the bowl overall leaves much to be desired. Bowls come with rice and a salad (more or less a handful of lettuce) with ranch that I opted out of. Kimchi was extra. As were a few other additions like avocado and egg. If you're looking for a healthy, balanced, authentic meal, this is not it. Although the bowl was a good portion, i'd say it's sadly not worth the price with what you get. The menu and food here could use some improvement.

Welcome to the neighborhood, Bulgogi Korean BBQ Bowl! Easy online ordering through Toasttab, a simple menu with plenty of healthy options, and something for everyone - I'm a fan! So far, we have only ordered to-go, but it went off without a hitch. My family enjoyed their Pork and Chicken Bowls, while my Beef Bowl was excellent for the price. The fried appetizers we tried (Spring Rolls and Chicken Dumplings) were great, too, especially at a reasonable price. We have always loved Donkey Mo's, so it's no surprise that their new concept would be good, too. It's a fast casual joint in a suburban shopping center, so nothing fancy here. It's brightly lit with clean decor and just a few tables for dining in. You look at the menu on the flatscreen (or your phone), then step up to the counter to order. You can get basic bowls with your choice of beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, tofu, or poke tuna over rice or salad. If you like, add an egg, kimchi, or a fried side. Simple! Then, if you want dessert afterward, you have several excellent options nearby including Andy's, Snowy Village, Teapioca, Mochinut, and Em Gourmet.

This place is DELICIOUS!!! The food is always fresh and hot. The service is outstanding, always smiling, greeting. The place is always clean when I come in for lunch or dinner. My boyfriend and I have been here on multiple occasions and the quality is always CONSISTENT! It appears to be family run, and deserves all the community attention it can get, this place really does deserve it. Can't say enough nice things about them!

Gross is an understatement. This food is not edible. It's food service grade meat patty with painted grill marks, sliced into strips. (Think Nighthawk Salisbury steak frozen dinner). Sweet staff, but the current review out there are clearly fake and this place won't be there in a year. Yuck!!

I really liked the cold boricha, Barley Tea. Very light taste of barley. I had at least 4 cups, it was that good.

Comparing Bulgogi Korean BBQ Bowl to other neighborhood restaurants, this is one of the best. The food is well prepared, delicious, served fast, with prices that are in line with neighborhood restaurants. I had the Poke Bowl with pork, extra avocado, on a base of salad. My daughter had a bowl of rice, topped with beef, and a little side salad. They offer all you can drink barley water, that I found delicious and my daughter didn't care for - she went to straight water. Clean surroundings, pleasant service, super clean and well-stocked restroom. Very nice place for a healthy lunch. Yes, we definitely will return.

We were planning to try one of each taco but they had already run out of the pulled pork. They wrapped each taco individually in aluminum foil to keep it warm which was a nice touch, though they didn't bring out the red and green sauces until we asked for them. Brisket Taco ($9): The brisket was a bit dry but the slice was pretty thick and it paired well with the acidity of the pickles. Carne G Taco ($6): Super cheesy and heavy. The flavors weren't bad but I felt pretty gross after eating one and it left me really bloated.

This spot was close to my hotel, and on my departure day, I decided to have one last hit of Q. It's a big restaurant, and it appears to also be quite the music venue. When I went, a little on the early side for a Friday dinner, there was not a wait and I was sat immediately. My server was attentive, and got me in, fed, and back out in plenty of time to catch my already delayed flight. I ordered their 3 meat combo plate, which also came with two sides, and added on a piece of cornbread. I chose brisket of course, as well as turkey and sausage. The server recommended the serrano pepper spinach (like a creamed spinach) and onion rings, and I took those recs. The best of the three meats was the turkey. Not a good sign. It was moist and tender, though not particularly smokey. Even so, I enjoyed it more than the brisket and sausage, which I would have guessed the reverse when ordering. The brisket was on the dry side and kind of bland, it did not smack of being freshly carved. The Stubbs BBQ sauce helped me eat some of it... now I see why they are famous for their sauce. I had a couple bites of the sausage and pushed it aside, I didn't enjoy their recipe on that at all. It was cooked seemingly well, but the blend of spices and meat they use wasn't pleasant to me. The sides, the onion rings were very crispy which I like, but again... something in the batter. Maybe even the oil they were cooked in, I did not enjoy as much. The spinach was actually quite enjoyable, maybe even a little rich. I think if it were warmer, if might help milden out some of that. It was really thick. The cornbread wasn't worth the add-on. No sweetness or anything to make it memorable. Vessel for butter. The portion was massive, and I had leftover food, but did not take it... and that would have been the case even if I wasn't headed to the airport. I wouldn't recommend this spot.

When I tell you these ribs were a religious experience I am not embellishing. Full disclosure: I do not currently live in the south so I don't consider myself a BBQ connoisseur, but I did spend 4 years in the south and have sampled many BBQ joints in the meantime. Take this review as someone who really enjoys BBQ (and any slow cooked meat for that matter) but who could not list more than 10 BBQ restaurants they have eaten at in the last 5 years. So the beef ribs. Great texture, tender meat but still had a bite to it. Expertly seasoned so they were not wet with sauce but still moist. I would consider 1 beef rib a snack, 2 a small meal. I also tried the chopped brisket (brisket and burnt ends sitting in a soup of BBQ sauce). That was also delicious (and more reasonably priced), but I could have done with slightly less sauce. It really was like a soup and while the sauce was tasty, there was too much of it. I went later in the afternoon (around 2/2:30pm) and got their last two beef ribs so going earlier is better. For fifteen people, the total cost was $425.69. This included delivery costs and taxes, but no tip. It consisted of three meats, two sides, and a dessert along with pickles, onions, bread, and BBQ sauce. There was also a set of utensils delivered, but plates were forgotten, but not a big deal. Brisket - This was definitely the best item eaten of the day. It was tender and juicy while adding the BBQ sauce giving that extra bite. The BBQ sauce was great regardless, a little bit of sweet and smoky flavor going on. Pulled Pork - This was another solid meat choice. I did not think it was as tender as the brisket, but it was still enjoyable especially with that BBQ sauce, which was key throughout the meal. Sausage - This was not bad. The snap on this threw me off a little, but it was not too bad. They were large links and had plenty of flavor. Gouda Mac & Cheese with Smoked Bacon - This was actually penne pasta with little pieces of the bacon. I actually preferred this pasta choice here. It really soaked up the cheese sauce. The sauce was not too over powerful and was just right. Beans with Smoked Bacon - These were not too bad. I thought they were a little liquidity, but the added bacon pieces definitely helped. Banana Pudding - This came in individual cups, which was nice. The pudding was thick with a little meringue or whipped cream present and a few wafer cookies on top. It was a satisfying ending to a very good meal. Will I go back? Yes.
