We stopped by around 8pm on Saturday. Yes, it does take longer for the food to come out than your typical "fast food" restaurant. The food is prepared fresh and comes out in the order it is made. To preface; I am Korean-American and I have high standards for Korean food. My friend from Orange County recommended this place to eat and it did not disappoint! We came in at 12 PM on a weekday, and given the place recently opened, there was a long wait time (staff told us ~45 minutes but it came out in about 30 min). Ambiance is similar to any fast-food restaurant, nothing special. Despite the wait time and it being busy, I was surprised at how well the Korean fried chicken was made. It was very crispy, seasoning was just right, and the the chicken was unbelievably tender and juicy. I ordered the secret sauce chicken which wasn't too spicy and also sweet. The radish side dish they provide was also made perfectly (not too radish-y, and the correct balance between sour and sweet). Friends also ordered the rose tteokbokki which was also well made. The consistency of the rice cakes was spot-on, and the flavor of the sauce was delicious. Having had Korean fried chicken from LA and even in Korea, I can say that for being in Fresno, it's absolutely worth the visit. I see myself being a regular here. I am eating just the food, but will share my overall experience! I'm Korean and absolutely LOVE Korean fried chicken, so I was very excited about bbq chicken coming to Fresno! I got an order of honey garlic wings and gangjeong wings as well as their regular ddukbokki and cheeseling fries. Chicken was amazing and the ddukbokki was very good! I want a big fan on the fries, but my husband really liked them. As for service, the staff was nice, but the food took like 40-45 minutes to come out. There were a few other tables of guests, and a couple online orders. I'm hoping it was slow because staff was still new! This is my first time on yelp as I don't usually feel the need to leave reviews. However, I felt it was necessary to share my experience. I've came this place 3 times already, and while the food is consistently great(my go-to is the spicy galbi and bulgogi rice bowl), the customer service can be hit or miss. I went during the day and the young pretty Asian lady worker stands out for her excellent service. She greets customers warmly, informs them of wait times upfront to avoid any inconvenience, and ensures our table is clean before we sit down. She also made sure our order was correct and completed while it was very busy! However, the night time experience is a different story. I came with a few friends, the service was incredibly poor. The staff seemed unorganized. We waited over 2 and half hours for a 24 piece honey garlic and two debokki dish, as they told me It would be an hour wait AFTER I paid(Mind you, It was not an hour)..I asked about my order 5-6 times over the span of 2 hours, and they completely forgot about it. By the time we finally received our food, my friends and I did not want to eat anymore. It makes me wonder if the issue lies in lack of training or experience among the evening workers. Ordered online for pickup and arrived 5 minutes early. Our order was on the back counter and we were told we were waiting on one more order and it would be ready in 4 minutes. 20 minutes later our order was ready. They missed one of our orders originally that was the delay and then didn't expedite the missed order. We have eaten at one of these restaurants in socal so we knew there was a long wait that is why we ordered online. 5 of the 6 chicken orders were lukewarm when we got home. Bummer for us. I usually have pretty good experiences when I dine out but this was the first time I have ever been so disappointed by the service and disgusted by the food. The service here is terrible. The wait time for our food was ridiculously long, over 1.5 hrs wait. They never came to check on us and we had to constantly get their attention to ask for an update on our food. And as bad as the service was, when our food came out, there was hair and dust/dirt on one or two of the chicken. Seemed as if they dropped it (or purposely did it?) and just put it on the plate to serve anyways. Either way, we will never return to this place again. Most people complaints are about the service, but please give them a chance while they adjust to the demands as a new opening. The food here is phenomenal! The flavors as described in the menu is well be defined, and each flavor is very unique and flavorful. The chicken wings that I ordered, was perfectly moist, with the crispy crust, AND retained its crispness under the flavored glazing. Note that a lot of places the food gets soggy, but this franchise figured out the chemistry to make it work. It doesn't taste greasy or cheap, and the chicken was delicious. My family and I were excited to hear that a bbq chicken was here in fresno. We got there around 7:20pmish. Order around 7:30-7:44pm. We order 16 wings, fries, bulgogi l 4 soda can. The place was not busy at all at this time. We waited like 50 mins for our food. Then the place became more busy. Two groups that order after us got their food. Then the group after them that slowly got their order/food brought out to them while we still haven't got our food. They didn't even give us our sodas. My sister had to go ask for it. Also, my sister went to them multiple times to ask about our order. We were told to wait 10 mins, which became 30 mins. Then I went to ask about our order. They told me 1 more min, which became 10 mins. The employees starts to bring more and more of other individuals food out to them, keep in mind, they all came after us. We didnt even get at least one of the item we order. We would have not been angry if they have attempt to bring some of our item out to us, like at least the fries, but nope nothing. While others got their chicken, rice plates, etc. My sister walked back to employees, asking about our food. They told us to wait an extra 10 mins. My sister told them, they already told us 10 mins like 40 mins ago. So my sister told them we want a refund if they still haven't got our food ready because at this point they probably havent even made our food, we arent going to wait another 10 mins, we were already waited for 1 hr to 2 hrs just for our small order (we got there when it was not busy). So in reaponse to my sister telling them we wanted a refund, they told my sister the food is ready. That does not make any sense because they just told my sister to wait another 10 mins but when we told them we wanted a refund, our food is magically is ready. We saw workers just standing in the kitchen talking/chatting, touching their phone and on top we saw a child that is around the age of 3-5 yrs old walking in and out of the kitchen.
