Amazing bbq in Dublin.. what fun atmosphere and ambience! We really liked the honey garlic wings.. just fab!

I was really excited to try the bb.q Chicken in Dublin since I've already been to three other locations and this one is much closer than Oakland. My husband and I went yesterday and ordered the 8-piece whole chicken, expecting the same great experience we've had before. Unfortunately, we were super disappointed, the pieces we received were tiny, like the size of bone-in chicken wings or even smaller. There was barely any meat on them, and for $18.99, it definitely did not feel worth it. We left still hungry, which should never happen when ordering a whole chicken. I do want to say the staff was very friendly and helpful, no complaints there. But for the price and portion we received, it just didn't live up to what we know and love about bb.q Chicken. Hoping they can improve consistency because I really want to love this location! read more

Sigh I was really really looking forward to bb.q chicken opening in Dublin. I've had it in Orange County twice and both times I wasn't impressed but I thought "maybe I just wasn't hungry enough when I ate it"... so I was excited to give it another try once it opened up in Dublin. I ordered it for delivery and the packaging was great. But the food was disappointing. I have a big Korean family, and they LOVE Korean fried chicken!! So we ordered: Original Fried Chicken Wings (8pc) Garlic Soy/Soy Garlic Chicken Wings (8pc) Spicy Original Fried Chicken Wings (8pc) Fries Onion Rings Extra pickled radish/chicken Moo The chicken flavors were underwhelming. Garlic soy was mild (can't get it spicy) and it was just boring. The Original also tasted bland but most importantly something about their batter makes it taste bitter or metallic. It was hard to eat. The spicy original was the best out of the 3 because the heat helps make it more exciting. The fries were either not salted or they just make it very bland. The onion rings... Oh No! Why?! Why does it taste like that?? The batter was not crispy and if you try to air fry it to reheat, it just turns super chewy. The onions inside is just mushy. You know what, it tastes like Burger King onion rings!! Almost exactly!! And I'm not a fan. The chicken moo/pickled radish was surprisingly too soft and too sweet. I mean I know it's supposed to be sweet and tangy, but too sweet. And the radish should be nice and crunchy!! But it's softish. Nooooo!!! I even refrigerated it overnight thinking it'll turn more firm, but again, it was disappointing. I hate saying negative things about any restaurant, normally I'd keep my mouth shut, but as a Korean American who LOVES Korean friend chicken I was sadly disappointed. The kids said they much prefer the fried chicken from Vons. "Crispy fried chicken wings - medium spicy" is their go-to and I couldn't find anything comparable to that at bb.q chicken. I still support anything and everything Korean, I just want you to know what to expect! Let me know if you have a go-to flavor at bb.q that is worth the hype. I will give it a try. read more

This is my first and last time visiting this restaurant. I was there today on a limited schedule with three of my work colleagues. We all ordered the same exact meals, most of which were brought out in a relatively timely manner. I was told mine would be ready in five minutes, and over 30 minutes later the server came back and told me it would be another five minutes. I asked him to wrap it for me to go. I wasn't even able to enjoy my lunch because it took them so long to make it. What irritates me is the fact that other people who ordered behind me had also received their food before me, but for some reason, I was the only one who had to wait. The server was very nice, but please don't tell people their food will be out in five minutes when in reality it's going to be more like 45 minutes. When I was finally able to eat my food over an hour later, it wasn't even very tasty. The chicken had quite a bit of fat on it, and it was dry. Wow - very poor ownership and customer service, merely being carried by their food. I came here for a birthday lunch with a few friends and we were treated with one of the most poor customer service experiences. There was confusion within the staff and I witnessed the chef yelling at the cashier (Jennifer) about misunderstanding an order, the cashier did not hear my order correctly and then proceeded to blame me about it/indicating that I was lying to her, a batch of fries came out severely undercooked and they did not care, and they forgot one order which we had to remind them about. As a party we easily gave them $300+ worth of business, and they did not show one ounce of care to make sure we were accommodated. All in all, this restaurant has potential, but they are clearly not equipped to handle a semi-large party or are trained with basic customer service 101 skills. read more

Let's start with the price. 80$ for a basket of wings and a pasta is wild. And as for the chicken....... They are frying the parts of the chicken that you should normally throw away. The brown rubbery dark meat under the chicken. It's not the breast. My kids found it inedible and refused to eat it. It's counter service so nothing to really complain about there.
