Props to the workers as they clearly seem tired but still catered to people even if they didn't follow mask guidelines :(. Got the honey garlic drumsticks 5 piece for like 14. Its a fillable portion, the drumsticks are normal sized. It comes in a nice box to air it out, but for some reason in our 10 minute drive the box got super soggy. They use different breading at most other locations and if you are used to crispy, higher quality fries, you will be disappointed at this particular location. The website uses the same imagery as other locations and it is frustrating to find out there's a difference in quality and product when food is already in hand. I can also say the wings felt somewhat smaller and less "sauced" than other locations. Specifically, the Quail Hill location has a night and day advantage that is puzzling. There should be a quality control check at this particular location by corporate because clearly something is amiss. Pricing seems to vary pretty widely between bb.q chicken locations these days and while that might explain some of the quality differences, there's nothing on the website to convey that you should expect a completely different product. Given that bb.q chicken is a chain and this is likely a franchise location, this is frustrating beyond belief as a shared quality standard should not be too much to ask for. The staff is likely not at fault here as they are not doing purchasing for this location. I really don't leave reviews, only when something was totally outrageous or totally outstanding. This is the first time I order chicken at this place and was it TOTALLY OUTRAGEOUS!! I've had BBQ chicken plenty of times and it's good. But this place is horrible on the amount of chicken to batter ratio. 85% BATTER to 15% chicken. I got a 10 piece soy garlic wings for $12.99. That was on the cheaper end. The whole pieces of chicken were a bit pricier. But granted, the whole pieces of chicken were really big. The service wasn't great. The gentleman who took my order was pretty rude. It was loud and he kept asking me to speak up. But the way he kept asking me to speak up wasn't nice or polite. It's not my fault the music is loud. Then maybe you should turn the music down so you can hear your customers better. The soy garlic wings were okay. They were pretty dry. Didn't have much meat or flavor. There was nothing special about them. Wings at BWW are better. However, I did try a piece of the whole chicken my friend got and it was pretty good. The chicken was big and had a lot of meat. The sauce was good and the chicken wasn't dry. So maybe next time I'll try that instead. But definitely wouldn't get the wings again. We just want to say thank you so much to the staff and the main manager that was there on Sarurday, 07/08 from 8pm to close. We are so grateful for your kindness to serve our larg party of 11, but mostly we are grateful for letting us bring our own homemade cake for her and letting her blow out her candle. I gave this place two chances (once after watching Crash Landing On You and now hehe) and I'm still not satisfied. I've been meaning to "re-write" this review but I've been quite busy. Last week, I ordered the 20-piece Crispy Chicken for over 35$. I woke up the next morning feeling extremely sick. I had a huge loss in movement, energy, extreme fatigue, the chills, skin issues, and a throbbing fever. I then remembered that I ate here the previous day. It was the only thing I ate. I then realized that I most likely got Salmonella, and it wasn't COVID. Throughout the week, I had a loss in strength as well and let me tell you, food poisoning destroys your body. On the 11th of April, I left a review on google explaining how I got sick from the food and also decided to call in and let them know that I was sick from the food. The guy answering the phone said they will offer a refund as long as I brought in proof, which I understand. The next day, I brought in a bag of the leftovers I had and there was an issue. The same guy on call with me the day before said that in order to receive a refund, I would need to delete my "nasty" review, which wasn't nasty at all. I explained on the review my situation and said I wouldn't be going here anymore. After showing this guy that I deleted my review, a lady gave me a refund in cash. I know this review is heading off-track a bit but, please be cautious of coming to this place. Message to the employees and owner(s): I know I said I would delete my review. I truly apologize for doing this but I don't think these situations should be kept quiet. Aside from getting really sick, I also don't think businesses should ask customers to delete reviews in exchange for refunds. Reviews come with owning a business and don't believe that anyone's silence should be bought. It defeats the whole purpose of reviews and I'm pretty sure it violates certain rules. The beautiful thing about Korean fried chicken is the batter and oil and when you take a bite you get a glimpse of heaven.. flaky crispy light. After watching Crash Landing on You my family had the biggest craving for Korean fried chicken, lucky for us this place was nearby to satisfy all of our cravings! Due to Covid-19 we've only been able to do take-out. The thing that I really like is that even after a 15-20minute drive to get home the chicken is STILL CRISPY by the time we put it on the table. THAT'S REALLY GOOD in my opinion; I've had takeout from other restaurants before and have had to pop the chicken into the oven to get that crispiness back from getting soggy during the ride back home... but this chicken STAYS CRISPY.
