I decided to wander into the shoppes and casino and luckily found this place on my way. Not too far of a distance and the food was quick and delicious. Everything sounded good and the attendant suggested the brisket. I opted for the bowl as I like to eat with a fork and it had some broccolini and guacamole to boot. Good option for when everything is busy during lunch hour. They're still a bit of wait but at least you won't have to wait for the seat & the food. We asked for what would be the fastest to come out, they said either the bowls and the salad, so that's what we got. I got the blta salad. It's good. They don't skimp on the meat. The dressing is on the side so you can decide how much or little you want. Good meal overall. We also had chips and salsa. They came with 3 different salsas. Pretty good. Nice snack/appetizer. They also have house made frescas but we did not get any. Next time. This place have been here pretty much every year I come but this is my first time trying. Fresh, colorful, and way more flavorful than I expected. The croutons deserve their own shoutout: I could've eaten a whole bowl of just those. Day two: the Brisket Lover Bowl. When staying at the Mandalay Bay, BBQ Mexicana is a fantastic option if you want a tasty & quick meal that won't break the bank. It's also super close to the Convention Center at Mandalay Bay so could be a good option for all you con-goers. They're actually only open for weekday lunch from 11am to 4pm, so seem to cater to that crowd. Now they are a sister restaurant of Border Grill, run by celebrity chefs Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken, so you can be confident in the deliciousness of what you're getting. I went with their Slow Smoked Brisket tacos which came in a set of two for $11 on flour tortillas. The tacos are a newer addition to their menu in the past year and I'm so thankful for a smaller sized option on their menu! The Smoked Brisket tacos come with cilantro coleslaw, crispy potatoes, mexican cheese, chipotle mayo, and bbq sauce ~ a great combination. Did I mention their chocolate chip cookies are bomb? My chicken barely looked like it was cooked. it didnt look appetitizing just plain chicken slightly brushed with a dry rub.but I was so hungry I decided to eat it anyway. My mistake, I was extremely sick later after eating this meal. With terrible pains, and I'm thinking it was from the chicken. I stumbled upon this place because I was starving and too tired to find the food court here at Mandalay Bay. Right place at the right time. I grabbed a Cobb salad topped with brisket. Not your typical Cobb by any stretch. A lot less lettuce, one slice of hard boiled egg. The rest was a unique mix of veggies that was quite good but just not expected. Was staying at Mandalay Bay & finally got to try them. They are only open Monday through Friday from 11 to 4 so very short window of time to try them. I have the barbecue Chicharron they were fresh well seasoned, with both a smoky and sweet taste. The burning burrito may be one of the best burritos I've ever had. It was packed with brisket, so you easily get what you pay for. The brisket was seasoned well and a good smoke taste to it. The rice was seasoned perfectly had the right amount of cheese and it's like a coleslaw that balance perfectly with the brisket. The service was fast and friendly as it was only two people working on a Monday. Will definitely try them again if I'm ever there during the week while they're open. read more

There was also a food court but the choices wasn't great so my coworker and I decided to wonder more to see what is the better choice and deal. Thankfully we got the bowl so it's less messy than the burrito. The burrito was also kinda small for $13... For 4 bowls and a bbq Chicharron, it came out to be $71. That isn't bad but portion wise it was also small. I ate the chicken "the coop" bowl. It was a bit bland and the chicharron was overly salty. Would I wait for 1 hour to get food here again? It's a counter- not much to complain about. Ordering was easy. Menu not extensive . Service was lovely, quick and attendant at counter gave good recommendation to help my indecisive mind. Food was prepare quickly and everything was in order, neatly packed. She recommended only goodness to me. I ate every morsel with gratitude. While waiting for hotel check in we decided to explore Delano and Mandalay Bay. Location: Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. We arrived fairly early in the morning (9am) so most of the shops and restaurants werent set to open for a couple of hours. After a while we decided we'd chose a place with quick access as we were starving after a 5am flight across time zones. As we set to loop back, we noticed the staff setting up items to begin the morning. At this point, we were able to see the wall menu and decided to give them a try. I don't think any of us expected the quality, freshness and flavor that we received. I pondered for a while but ultimately chose the brisket lover bowl. There was a seasonal margarita,blood orange, which is one of my favorite flavors. Let me tell you it definitely packed a punch!!! I added a chips and salsa trio as well. There are some high top tables around between BBQ Mexicana and the Border Grill close by, that people would wait at / sometimes eat their bowl or burrito at. Located in Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino, more of the side by the convention center, next to Shark Reef and next to the food court, but not in the food court. I received my food pretty quickly after I ordered. Even though I asked for non-spicy food, the cashier assured me that the meal would not be spicy, IT WAS SPICY. The manager quickly responded and fixed the problem. They remade my order without all the spicy ingredients! The newly made food was delicious! Thank you for accommodating me with this! I am so glad I noticed this place during lunch this past week. It was so good, I ate two days in a row. I didn't even know when I passed it that it was part of Border Grill, across the hallway; however, when I tasted my food and realized how delicious it was -- I should have immediately realized. Border Grill has always been a favorite of ours here in Los Angeles, and this quick service outpost is no exception. The brilliant minds and chefs in Mary and Susan have done it again. Two days in a row, I ordered the Pulled Pork burrito. It was a large burrito with cheese, coleslaw, fried onions, crispy jalapenos and some chipotle aioli. Now, I ordered it without The Aioli, as I am not a fan of mayo -- and I requested a side of green salsa. That was the only thing that irritated me. The extra charge for the salsa, when I took off the aioli anyway. I have to tell you, it was just probably one of the most delicious burritos I have ever had. The pulled pork was smoked and seasoned so well. All of the ingredients complimented one another, and just YUM YUM YUM It is in an easy location in the Convention Center area of Mandalay Bay right across from Border Grill. Easy to find and you should definitely try it. The price is reasonable for what you get and for the fact that it is on the Las Vegas Strip. read more

I believe that the spot has changed in concept a couple of times but it's always been a quick service grab and go location which is amazing. It was late in the afternoon and since I was hungry I decided to stop in. I knew I was going to be eating food court food a bunch so I decided to venture out and order from here since this is a little further out. Luckily, there wasn't much of a line so I was able to place my order. I believe they also have online orders where you can skip the line and pick up your food. I got the Burnt Ends burrito and a pineapple agua fresca. The burrito is very filling I saved half of it for food later and the agua fresca I finished right away because it was so good and refreshing. I would say to be sure to check the times they are open. I'm pretty sure I just got there as they were closing and it was in the afternoon. There were a lot of great items on there that I will have to try next time I'm in town! read more

The location is great and the interior is so pretty and relaxing. Alexis was super attentive and an excellent host. I loved how they maximized the seating which gives privacy in an open space. Don't let the name fool ya, I didn't experience any "Mexicana" flavors but the food was ok. I ordered the smoked brisket burrito. It was a wild ride. I wasn't expecting the flavors that the burrito presented and was a bit overwhelmed. The brisket was seasoned but a wee dry and the coleslaw was a yummy unexpected crunch with the papas. And the salsa was good on its own, but IMO but didn't serve the combo of flavors well. Overall, the food was ok but for me and my palette, there were too many dimensions and flavors that did not play fair together. They also have an assortment of Jarritos and I'd never had the guava flavor before. That was such a great choice. Would I visit again - no. Holy cow yes! My tastebuds have been blown away! On a whirl I decided to swing over to Mandalay Bay to check out BBQ Mexicana. It is a quick walk from the parking ramp to get there. It's even easier if you are already at the MB Convention Center. We walked up and placed an order for a bunch of Burnt Ends Burritos. They were ready fast and we took them the the available seating. AMAZING! It is hard to describe the flavor explosion these things pack. The burnt ends with that killer slaw they have going on... wow. I was having happy burps all afternoon.
