Cute little prize from the last time I won!
    Vanessa P.

This place is okay! Cafeteria style eatery inside a shopping center, you come for the convenience either before of after grocery shopping. Food 3/5: We've tried the majority of the menu here and the food isn't something we'd come out of the way for, but it's decent for what it is! Pork katsu is a bit dry and thin, breading immediately falls off when you pick up a piece. Kimchi rice is probably the best part but it's a bit bland. Banchan is overly sweet, but somehow it still compliments the meal. The seafood tofu soup is comforting but lacks a lot of the flavor I've come to love from SGD Tofu House or Enjoy Seoul. Ambiance 3/5: The dining area is spacious and there are plenty of dining tables. I've come at numerous times and never had a problem finding a seat. The dining area is usually tidy as long as people pick up after themselves. Sometimes they have ear splitting, loud music on, so loud that the staff can't hear me when taking my order. Service 3/5: It's quick and efficient due to the cafeteria dining style, you order your food, wait to pick it up, and then return your tray to the speed racks they have lined up in front of the ordering stall. Added an extra star for the row of the little claw machines they've added! Now you can play while waiting for your food. Overall, I come for the convenience and for the claw machines!

Went to Hmart for the first time and ended up eating here. Area was clean and the food was really good and the wait wasn't that long. Pricing is about what you would expect to pay so it was worth it. Seafood pancake was so delicious we ate it all before remembering to take a pic lol The chicken bibimbap was fresh and flavorful but the small soup it came with was just ok. The tofu soup and ramen were really good. I doubt you will be dissapointed if you give this place a try. I'm definitely coming back.

    Kimchi Fried Rice w/Chicken Katsu

Very solid spot if you are feeling hungry after a shopping spree at HMart. I wouldn't go out of my way to come just for this, but it is quite convenient being in a Korean market. Although the food isn't the best of quality, the diverse menu and variety makes up for it. There are even prepackaged meals that the staff can reheat for you after purchasing that are cheaper than the menu items. Korean Fried Rice w/Chicken Katsu (4/5): Love that this came with some sides. The rice was good but not much kimchi flavor at all. The chicken katsu was breaded nicely and the flavor was good, but the skin fell off the chicken too easily.

Love the half off food or buy one get one deals. We love the fish tofu here and it tastes even better warmed up. The staff are really sweet too, tons of entertainment as well with the gacha machines across.

    Everything was amazing!

We came to do some shopping at Hmart & my niece had told me the ramen here is amazing & she was not lying! The beef ramen is delicious! The broth is so flavorful. The banchan is also very yummy. We also got some watermelon tea which was very refreshing but a bit too sweet for my liking. Service is fast and friendly- the service is cafeteria style.

We had the bibimbap, and it was really amazing! The portion was generous and the flavors were comforting and not too salty. The space was also very open but secluded from the rest of the store, so it was comfortable.

Food is always good! Side dishes are great. Very convenient to go to when shopping around. Staff is very friendly. Tables and chairs are always available and is also pretty tidy (as long as people clean up after themselves)

affordable and tasty not the greatest food, but def work grabbing a bite here while hmart shopping. especially their bibimbap, which comes out sizzling and loaded with meat and veggies. their katsu + kimchi fried rice is okay. katsu is a little bit dry and overcooked in my opinion.

Medium spicy beef ramen sundubu jjigae (tofu stew)
    Maggie W.

My friend and I decided to stop by the North San Jose H Mart to have lunch in the food court together! We both ordered the ramen sundubu jjigae, I got beef with medium spiciness and she got chicken with mild spiciness. My banchan was pickled cucumbers and fish tofu. Looks like according to the reviews, if you get regular sundubu without ramen they'll give you purple rice too!! Get your fix of carbs in whichever way you desire! The tofu stew was delicious, there was a LOT of ramen. It came with soybean sprouts, green onions, and some white cabbage/cucumbers/assorted vegetables. Overall really good, medium spicy wasn't burning at all and was the right level for me. My friend and I both enjoyed this location, the portions are very big too.

Foods pretty decent for a food court. Maybe a little in the greasy side. But it's expensive. Seafood pancake was about fifteen dollars. I'd say it's enough for a meal but you wouldn't want just that for a meal. So we also got the short ribs. Flavorful but too sweet. It does come with rice and soup but the soups a little bland. Not worth thirty dollars at all. They do have prepared foods also. Suns look pretty yummy. Order at counter and seat yourself. Cleanliness is determined by whoever sat before you.

Beef tofu soup was $1 more but only two pieces of beef
    Tiffany N.

This is a quick stop if you'd like to get some soup before or after you shop. Just know it's quite expensive for what you get! And the service wasn't much, you bus your own tables. The person in charge had to call and confirm our receipt number even though we were the only there who ordered and were waiting... The ambience is loud since it's in a super market but very casual so it's nice to just catch up with a friend or something. My tofu soup was a disappointment it was $16.99 but there were barely anything in it except for mostly tofu and onions. And the beef tofu was the most spicy thing on the menu and it came with two pieces!!! And the soup was so salty. I could barely slurp on it. It was my first time there so I probably will not come back. I rather go to SDG Tofu house

Came here around 12. The restaurant is inside the H-Mart and there is plenty of seating. You can also buy banchan and prepared meals at this restaurant to-go or to eat there. Food was good and filling. If you get tofu soup, you will get a side of purple rice. For water and napkins, you will have to ask the woman at the counter to grab them for you. This place is perfect for a post-HMart shopping meal.

    Jane E.

Good quick food to grab or dine in. There are plenty of tables to sit. You order at front or can grab the premade meals in the fridge. They will heat those if you choose to grab one. Otherwise you can order a fresh option of Ramen tofu soup, tofu soup, katsu, udon noodles. Bbq iron plate and more. Located inside HMart. So plenty of parking in lot.

I came with a couple of friends around 6PM on a Friday and barely made it before the dinner rush. As soon as we sat down, a large crowd started lining up to put their names on the waitlist. It's a small, casual restaurant with limited seating, but they turn tables over quickly. They've added tablets at each table where you can browse photos of the menu and place your order. They also leave a bottle of water at the table, so service is pretty minimal. The banchan arrived almost immediately after we ordered, followed shortly by our meals. The banchan is always fresh and flavorful, with each dish seasoned differently so every bite has a unique taste. We all ordered the beef tofu soup but customized it to our liking. I went with medium spice and added mandu (dumplings). The portion was huge and came with rice on the side. The medium spice actually had a good kick, unlike at some places where it's too mild. It was packed with tofu and tender beef, and I had enough leftovers for another meal. It was my first time adding mandu, which tasted good but out of place. I'll probably pass on that next time. This is my go-to spot to catch up with friends, and we always leave happy. If you're planning to come for dinner, get here early or be prepared to wait.

It's a good size restaurants with wooden tables and chairs and long bench along the wall. Order is by tablet at the table and multiple orders can be put thru at different times. I ordered the ramen tofu soup medium spicy, galbi, and the table ordered pork soft tofu soup and spicy pork bulgogi. Everything was good and spicy items were actually spicy. Plenty of rice too if your family need rice. The dishes were all very good and comforting. Lines and waiting times got long so get here near opening for dinner if you don't want to wait.

For the cold noodles, it was pretty refreshing and a bit light in flavor. It came in a icy vinegary broth with noodles, half a boiled egg, pickled daikon and some pieces of galbi (short rib). Also had option of adding more vinegar and/or mustard if you wanted. The noodles were chewy but that's how it is, recommend asking for some scissors to cut the noodles if it's hard to chew. We ordered the beef soup and the appetizer short ribs, which is about 6 pieces. The sides were good, special shout out to the warm jjapchae! The short ribs came out sizzling, and had a great char with a sweet soy sauce flavor. Meat was tender and had the perfect chew to it, such a comfort meal with the rice. The beef soup came boiling, and there was a generous amount of beef, mushrooms, and tofu. The only complaint I have is the soup ratio was less than what I'm used to so about halfway through the pot there wasn't much soup left to pour onto the rice the way I normally do. But that's not a bad thing, means you're getting more protein! Service was great, but it's a bit expensive from what I'm used to so I docked a star. I'll check out other places and see if this is just the normal pricing for the area.

I have many fond memories of dining here. The food is still excellent. We ordered the tofu and chicken bubbling soup along with the bibimbap, and everything was delicious. The quality of the food is definitely a reason I would return. Unfortunately, the service was very inconsistent. There were two servers during our visit. One was incredibly kind, professional, attentive, and welcoming. She checked on us, offered more side dishes, and was very sweet with my six-year-old son. I even thanked her personally at the end of the meal because her hospitality stood out. The other server, however, made the experience uncomfortable. From the moment we arrived, there was no warm greeting -- we were simply asked how many were in our party. We were seated at a very small table, and when I politely asked if we could move to a larger one since we were ordering multiple dishes with sides and I had my young son with me, she looked visibly annoyed. Throughout the meal, she kept making faces when I asked normal questions about the menu or requested an extra to-go box. These were simple customer requests, and her reactions felt rude and unnecessary. I also noticed that several other reviews mention a woman making faces during service, and based on my experience, I believe this may be the same server. That kind of behavior really affects the dining experience and should be addressed by management. Hospitality matters, especially in a restaurant setting. Good food is important, but customers should also feel welcome and respected. Overall, I would come back because the food was delicious, and the other server was genuinely lovely. However, I hope the owner takes the service concerns seriously. If I return, I would likely ask to be seated with the kind server who made us feel welcome.
