This place has the best BBQ in the state. If anyone says otherwise, they clearly haven't been here yet. All the meats are so perfect. It's apparent how much care is put into the preparation of this food. Every time I come I find something new to fall in love with. Again like others said. I wanted to check it out after all the reviews. And I have to say that they did live up to them. Especially on the meats side. The Brisket is as good as anything you going to get this side of Texas. And better that any I've had in the PNW. They understand what it means to smoke your meats. And the rub is classic Texas rub with just salt and pepper. The ribs have the same rub and are meaty and tender. Something that is different than most BBQ places in Texas is chopped pork. Good but not great. I've tasted better in joints down south that specializes in BBQ pork. Meaning that BBQ in Texas starts and ends with beef. The sides are always a tricky thing at BBQ places. And these are just again ok. Nothing stands out. I tried the fried okra, cole slaw and potato salad. They all seem like they came from a vendor such as Sysco. Which means they can't stand on their own. I also tried the banana pudding. Again good not great. The stars of this place are the meats and the staff. A family own place that truly want to make good BBQ in a area that is in need of it. I have been twice and the level and quality of service as been top notch both times. I am looking to see how things go as other find out what Texas BBQ is like. And there business starts to grow. Which it will. And they don't lose their edge and uniqueness in this field. read more

A really, really great find. Tried both the brisket and ribs, the former was better than the latter, but both were tasty. Ribs were a bit dry, but definitely good. The brisket, wow... on par with the BBQ we've had in Texas. Had a variety of their sides, potato salad, mac and cheese, baked beans, fried okra... all were yummy, okra was fantastic. Reasonably priced, healthy portions, and a really cool ambiance. I would give it 4 stars due to the ribs, but the service bumps it up to 4.5, and also makes me more inclined just to round up. We stayed away too long... 3 weeks from last visit to BBQ2U! Wife telecommutes from home to work daily. She ACTUALLY works harder and longer than when she was in office. When we want a break (and a very satisfying reward) we often "order out" ( of course, as is "Pandemicly" required). As experienced epicurean travellers, we are very familiar most BBQ techniques and styles. By far and above most of our dining experiences, BBQ2U is ahead of the curve. Most definitely the leaders on the west coast. Very friendly staff and eager to please. The interior "smoke-out" stays with you even after returning home. The flavors, moisture and carnivore cuts are exciting great! We tried the fried okra, and to our delight, will continue to order it. This visit we ordered the "SamplerTray." 3 meats and 4 sides. We were not disappointed but exceedingly pleased. Always ask for 3 sauce sides due to sharing competition or just buy the bottle. You won't be disappointed. (I occasionally add a drop of my favorite hot sauce to their BBQ, but that is just me). Be sure to try the Jalapeno Cheddar sausages (mild, tasty with great "snap!") I love bbq. As Tennessean bbq is a way of life. I admire the differences in bbq culture. I'm not sure how Texas this place is? I didn't get much heat in anything. I was hoping to get that Texas kick. Brisket and pork need a little rub on there. The smoke is nice. Everything perfectly cooked. They have to figure out how to get the service a little quicker. Use technology fellers. If you're looking for some Big Red soda, they got it!! Along with lots of Central Texas favorites. We moved here from the Ft Hood area 6 years ago and this is a wish come true to us since we missed authentic TX style brisket. We prefer our sandwiches on good O'l plain white bread instead of the massive buns they used (it overwhelms the 2 pieces of brisket IMO) and the option of using mayo (they don't even make it available, it's a BYOM kinda place). The flavor was perfect and only in GH would a BBQ place ever sell out of chicken and turkey before any brisket!! keep up the great job! Suggestion: move the menu from the start of the line to maybe above the trays or tape it to the counter. read more

This place is delicious!! In my opinion, Famous Dave's isn't so famous and Dickies can go suck it lol! THIS place has the flavor and it might be a bit pricey, but the quality of meat is insane. I felt back home in Dallas when I ate there. Aside from the great food and sweet bbq sauce, the staff were very friendly. The cute guy at the counter complimented my green sweater and his smile was so beautiful lol (I was secretly crushing on him)! He also cared about "getting more bang for my buck" by suggesting certain things which I thought was uber considerate. I highly recommend this place and would give it a ten if I could! Don't know what has happened to their food. When they first opened it was great and happy to finally see a good BBQ place in town. We have ordered Many times and food was great! BBQ2U is by far one of my favorite places in the area. The service is amazing and everyone who works here is so kind and helpful. On top of that, the food is some of the best I've had. I bring friends here often and they are always a little skeptical when I tell them that this is the best BBQ place I have ever been to, but BBQ2U never disappoints. I always get the lone star tray with brisket, fried pickles, and coleslaw or banana pudding. A few of my good friends I've brought here are vegetarian and they love the BBQ jackfruit, I am moving out of the area soon (done with college) and I will miss this place and the special memories I've made here a lot. Before moving to the PNW I lived in Nashville for 2 years. They know how to do BBQ. Needless to say, my standards were pretty high, and this place met them! The staff was very friendly. They went above and beyond helping us with everything. They offer a military discount, and I really support any business that is good to our service members. The food was so amazing. I have read different reviews say their Mac N Cheese and brisket is dry, but we did not have that problem. They were both perfectly moist and went well with the BBQ sauce. I also ordered the fried okra. I was not blown away by it, and it was lacking flavor. I would order the beans next time. Besides the okra, we had an amazing experience. Only negative I had (if you can call it that) most southern BBQ offers multiple BBQ sauces they only have one. It is a very tasty sauce but options are nice. Fantastic food. The brisket, spare ribs, sausage and turkey tasted great. We went there for our first time and were raving to each other about the experience. The trays are the best bargain for the price. The staff were very friendly and were very helpful with answering our questions and had some suggestions. We are definitely going to be back. This is the place to go... We drove down from Seattle on a free weekend and were not disappointed! We've been craving bbq after coming back from Austin, but unfortunately had yet to find a decent place around Seattle. Their prices are standard to anywhere you'd go for good bbq in Texas and the flavor is on point. Phenomenal! We drove 30 minutes for lunch, and it was worth it. We thoroughly enjoyed this awesome BBQ restaurant! Customer service was uber friendly and welcoming. Menu was straight forward, offered plenty of choices, but not so many that it was overwhelming. We had pulled pork, wet brisket, mac n cheese, potato salad and okra. Meat was oh so tender and flavorful. Sides were all great. Mac n cheese had a bit of smoke flavor, delicious. Sauce (your option or not) was great. And bless my own heart, they had amazing sweet tea! Let me first say, I like this place. I have ordered three times and two of them were very good. The brisket is as it should be and the pulled pork was flavorful. The first time I got Ribs, they were good, meaty and not too fatty. I ordered ribs again and they were almost inedible. SUPER fatty with barely any meat. The food and service were both spot on. Started with an email asking if there was a way to save seating for a party of 10 for Father's Day. The owner Gary emailed back within 24 hours and immediately offered to reserve a large table. We arrived today to try it for the first time and it is by far the best BBQ we have found in WA State. The brisket was so tender it fell apart with a fork, the pulled pork had great flavor, and the turkey and ribs where amazing. Within our group we tried all of the sides and they were delicious.
