Cypress one is not worth the money . I've ate at the ones in the heights and gulf freeway and they were amazing . But the CYPRESS location is Poot service and food is not good . We are always looking for a place that serves crab legs and we found one close enough to where we will visit it often when we need our crab leg fix. Of course BB's serves more than just crab legs, the Po'Boys have yet to disappoint me. We really enjoyed the Cajun Emenadas and almost ordered another plate. Last night, 3/28/24 was my worst experience ever at BB's. They were significantly under staffed. Our waiter had at least 7 tables, two of which were 6 tops. It took 20 minutes to get two dressed Dos Equis, and maybe 40 mins to get two Bloody Mary's. Another 40 mins to get 5lbs of crawfish and burger with fries. Burger wasn't good and fries were cold. We were told we'd get replacement fries and never received them. I ordered a second 5lbs of crawfish when we had eaten 1/4 of the first. We finished the first and waited another 40 mins when I finally asked the manager to get our check and we would skip the second order. I explained our frustration, and how bad the service was. He said he'd get the check. He didn't apologize, he was resigned to the bad service and didn't seem to care. When the server came back he apologized and said the manager reduced out bill. I have been wanting to come to this location since it open. Today I was in the area at lunchtime!! So I had to stop in! Omg it was clean and all employees are extremely nice. The ladies room was clean and smelled good! I ordered the shrimp gumbo, lunch fried shrimp and corn and potato. The corn and potato are to die for!!! So so good! They have just right amount of Cajun spices!! The shrimp gumbo is full of favor and plenty of shrimp! I like the the rice is on the side for you to add if you want or not. We called to make a reservation since we had a table of 7 pretty early in the day, and they said to make a reservation on Yelp, they also told us to call 30 minutes before we arrived. However, when selecting the party of 7 on Yelp it said to call the restaurant for further assistance. Once we called them again they said we had to arrive to the restaurant to get in line. We got there and we let them know we had a table for 7, they told us again we were supposed to make a reservation online, however I mentioned on the phone that we were unable to. I know I've reviewed BB's in Cypress before but after my visit yesterday, I wanted to review again. Pre-pandemic, I met one of my friends at BBs about every 6 weeks. We would order lunch and a bottle of wine and sit in the bar or patio for hours. We ordered different menu items and never had anything we wouldn't order again. My absolute favorite is to order the appetizer of Loaded Pollo Bullets for my low carb lunch. Also, I don't share well, these are delicious. Fast forward to restaurants opening back up. I met my BF yesterday for the first time in over a year at BBs. It felt like being home again. We chose to sit on the patio and enjoy the nice weather. The staff is so courteous and is a little more hands off and out of your face due to Covid, but I appreciated it and enjoyed our long lunch. Three stars because the food was good (crawfish specifically) however the service was just so terrible that it was hard to enjoy the restaurant/meal. Our waitress forgot simple things like small plates for our appetizers, utensils, napkins. We had to ask for things at least 3 times before we got them, and by time we did our food was too cold to enjoy it. On top of that we witnessed an employee hit another employee and it was just an uncomfortable situation. I definitely. wouldn't recommend if your looking for good service, but if that's something you don't care about then the food is pretty good! read more

I wish I was as happy as my brother in law with his order. I feel quite bad for giving three stars, because the hospitality and customer service were amazing (2 stars). The other star is for the red beans and rice. Absolutely delicious and flavorful. Add a healthy dose of hot sauce. And it's on point! So....I ordered the Midnight Masterpiece Po Boy. I should have listen to my server, than my gut instinct. Because I was extremely disappointed with this sandwich. The taste, consistency of the beef were not hitting my palate in the right places. Ordered a fried turkey last year for our work employee Thanksgiving lunch. And it was really good. So we ordered from them this year and the turkey was really good and only thing I would say is that there Cajun rice "dressing "is actually just rice and there is no bread product in it so I didn't really care for that. They were out of green bean casserole and sweet potato casserole so the manager gave us a pan of bread pudding which is one of my most favorite things to eat and I don't ever get that the rum sauce was just amazing. First time in. Started off with Bloody Mary's loaded but that's not what got. They were alright. Ordered the shrimp and crawfish empanadas and they were really good. And then it went down hill. Second round of Bloody Mary's were awful. This should be a pre-made mix that you just add vodka to. Ratios were way off. Ordered shrimp po'boy and roast beef po'boy. They came with shoestring fries covered in sugar and everything was at best lukewarm, including the fried shrimp. No offer to comp any thing. I don't send food back as rule. This is the second BB's I've visited and I forgot how fresh and wonderful their food is. My daughter and I shared a fried shrimp po' boy, and also the appetizer of gravy, queso fries. The shrimp was very tasty, was spicy but not too spicy and also was fried perfectly. The bread was very fresh! Since we had the fries as an appetizer, our servers offered us another side dish. He left them. My hubs had fish tacos with red beans and rice. My 1/2 Po-Boy had one bite taken out of it. The bread was not Po-Boy bread and definitely not a paper towel PB...The Shrimp n Grits had two nicely blackened Shrimp and they were good. I took a bite of the grits and only the top was good. The cheese masked the mush of a serving of grits. Total disappointment. My husband liked his taco, he left one, buy the Red Beans and Rice was another story. Beans OK...rice, not completely cooked and mush. In LA nothing would resemble what we had at BBs.. For the three of us with only one Tea was $64.....$4 upcharge for cup of Shrimp n Grits. We were promplty greeted and seated by staff. we ordered the loaded pollo bullets and 2lbs crawfish orleans style. The pollo bullets were excellent and the crawfish is probably the best I have had in Cypress I was very impressed and will be back many times. Those expensive pobodys tasted awful and you could tell the grease was old. Love the Rockdale redfish! The blackened gulf shrimp is so flavorful, the seasoning and blackening of it goes so well with the andouille sauce. I recommend getting the collard greens with it, it has onions with it as well and is a great mix with the sauce.
