Cute little deli with outdoor patio. The girl at the front who took my order was pleasant. Ordered the Surfin Bird regular which was plenty for 1 person. Although it was good, I'm not sure it's worth $15. My sandwich came out quick and I took it down to the beach to enjoy so there's not much else I can say!

After a beach walk there is nothing better than a sandwich from their special breakfast menu. We are partial toward the one made with garlic sourdough toast, fluffy scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage (or both!) avocado cheddar and cream cheese!

Stopped by The Beach Hut and I ordered the regular Surfin Bird sandwich. The sandwich was fresh and filling with a good balance of turkey, bacon, avocado, and all the toppings working together. The bread was soft but held everything together well, and each bite had a nice mix of flavors without anything overpowering the rest The vibe is laid back and very beachy, and the service was friendly and quick. Parking is in back. A great spot to grab a solid sandwich after being around the harbor or the beach area.

My rating is 3.5 stars! First time trying this location and it was good but left us wanting more. Got a Malibu pastrami sandwich without the Italian sauce (the Italian sauce is quite salty if you're sensitive to high sodium). The ingredients were fresh; however, the sandwich size was on the small side with not a lot of pastrami for the $16 price. We are used to LA Deli pastrami sandwiches, which are quite robust with their ingredients. It's perhaps enough for one person but if you're sharing like we did (usually deli sandwiches are large and filling so we buy one to share). Today we were both hungry after eating the halves. The staff behind the register were very nice and friendly.

Half of a regular turkey avocado (I added pepper and Italian herbs at home. Sad sandwich - think it was the turkado.

Great customer service, the gentleman at the register was ever so friendly and helpful as I've never been in. Reminds me of Board and Brew though with the ambiance, menu options, and "vibe." I got a turkey avocado sandwich and it had no flavor - so underwhelming. I wasn't given an option for bread either. The tomato, pickle and onion were sliced as thin as possible which was disappointing for the price. I might come back to try another option in the future but as of now, I'm sadly unimpressed.

I had Skinny Dipper for lunch at Beach Hut Deli and it was amazing. The roast beef was juicy and tender while the dipping sauce was delish. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy the fall breeze too. Service was excellent. Will definitely come back for more delicious sandwiches

No frills sandwich shop with decent tasting sandwiches. Highly recommend ordering ahead because it can take awhile during lunch. I got the Malibu and it was delicious. The bread did get soggy extremely quickly, which was a bit disappointing, but the amount of meat and avocado was great!

My wife and I stopped by here for a quick bite before walking home. We ordered the Skinny Dipper sandwich on a French roll --- roast beef, ground pepper, onions, cheddar and mayo with a side of au jus. It was a really good sandwich. The roast beef was tender and tasty; plenty of cheese; and the au jus, which we dipped the sandwich into was perfect (not too salty). The woman who took our order at the counter, the owner, was very pleasant as was the woman who served us our sandwich. The outdoor patio, where we ate, literally can't be beat on a great weather day. They have a wonderful looking happy hour with great specials on beer which I'll check out on another day.

I'm always walking by Evan's restaurant going somewhere else, but yesterday on Easter my son and I decided to give his Beach Hut Deli a try. It was amazing! And affordable. We ate here because it was a zoo trying to find parking at Salt Creek Beach on a weekend holiday, even though I have a pass. Beach Hut has free parking but only if you do not use it as a way to go to the beach, it's for customers only, and they have a guard watching the parking lot. Beach Hut also had patio tables available yesterday. The tables are shaped like surfboards and the food is served on parchment - on colorful plastic Frisbees - which is very cute! Hopefully they won't be taken home by customers. I asked my son to take a photo of me with Evan to show how handsome he is. He is a super nice guy as well which doesn't always happen if someone is super good looking like Evan. He is even more gorgeous in person than in this photo. But whoever is in the kitchen is doing a fine job! They remembered all our special requests. Ladies, by the way, Evan is MARRIED! Evan and I worked together at Trader Joe's for a short time. We went on to bigger and better things, such as Self Employment with our own businesses. Yelp could not load my photo even though I tried multiple ways and sizes. Many people are having this problem unfortunately.

Alright, this sandwich spot makes one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I got the large Hobie and planned on having half now and half later in the day. Not possible, it was so good. I took a picture and almost like the screen of my phone the sandwich was so good.

I'm always down for a deli sandwich and today I couldn't have picked a place better than Beach Hut Deli! This was my first time trying this place out because usually my go to is Jersey Mike's. However, I think I just found a new favorite deli sandwich shop! I got a regular roast beef with pepper jack cheese, and the usual sandwich condiments, and although this is an ordinary roast beef sandwich, it's really not that ordinary because this sandwich is outstanding! I'm going to be honest, I was a bit hesitant, but the guy outdid himself with an ordinary sandwich! From the bread down to the mustard and mayo it was so freaking delicious! First visit since new owners took over this summer. Really great deli sandwiches - I had the Tuna & cheese and my wife had the Cali Cheesesteak. Great find on Ritz Carlton Drive & PCH adjacent to Moulin, also a favorite. Good local delis are a treasure, especially since we lost so many during the pandemic. After many years of driving by this place my husband and I decided to give them a try considering they were under new ownership and we are so glad we did. We were greeted with delightful smiles from the new owners and immediately felt so welcomed. The menu has something for everyone!! The sandwiches were hearty and delicious and we can't wait to come back once they add some breakfast items to their menu. First time here, instantly felt welcomed with a friendly smile and great recommendations. Love the surf board tables, and frisbee plates great decor! Food?! Delicious!! I had the Malibu (pastrami) it had great flavor! We shared the Marley nachos which were also really tasty with a slight spice to the cheese big enough for 3 of us to share. WOW! First word is Fresh! It was so good and they did great on substitutes for us picky type. The bread was soft. The bacon was crisp. Avocado yummy. I took my Friend to repay him for his help and he said he wanted it to GO, BUT once we were inside it was really bright and airy (Nice changes). He said he was only going to eat half, but he ate the whole thing. HA ha. I orderd the mini and could only eat half. But I ate it later forsure. The price was not bad. I heard this location was under new ownership and I had to try it. I can't say enough good things about this beach hut! We sat at the bar and had a drink waiting for my sandwich and the vibes were great. The sandwiches came out fast even though they were busy. My $10 sandwich was miserable. I am aware the small is just half a sandwich, but the half I got was barren, It might as well have just been 2 slices of bread. After asking the staff if I could exchange my sandwich they instead fought me and told me that "the size of the small is supposed to be 3 inches." Eventually one of the staff said they would add turkey and cheese to it. The picture is the $10 after I complained about it, so this is even more than they want to give you for $10. The place itself is sticky and nasty inside. Our laminated menus were covered in splotches and the whole experience felt miserable for how much they charge. read more

I have been to this Beach Hut a couple of times and they have had amazing service, good beer selection, and the sandwiches are great. I used them to cater for my groomsmen at my wedding and they were early in delivering and all the guys loved them. We stopped into the Beach Hut Deli after a short hike to Aliso Summit. It was almost 3pm when we got there, so plenty of parking and seating. I ordered a cheese and salami sandwich on the cheesy garlic bread. The lettuce was bitter and the bread was dry and falling apart. The whole thing was honestly not very tasty. My husband had the California (veggie sandwich). He seemed happy with the generous avocado serving. The food took a while to come out, which was a bit annoying as they only had a few customers at that point. Nearly all the tables were dirty outside too. I wonder if they are having staff shortages due to both these things? read more

I love this places sandwich's. Definitely has an acquired taste but the cream cheese on it makes it so interesting! Great service, young beachy kids. Nice outdoor seating and indoor booths and a bar with some TVs, very beachy and relaxed ambiance. Great for a quick meal after swimming. read more

Ok, so got this when I was close to Dana Strands, staff....excellent per use. Food....straight up tasty, I am partial to the surfin bird and the beach bikini, with a side of the spicy pickle chips. Very concerned about how management (Jamie) treats employees. I have been going to Beach Hut for years. Love the Super Salad. The kids who work there are such darlings. Very sweet. A couple of months ago, I learned this location is having a hard time keeping staff--high staff turnover. Today when I was in there, all the kids were busting their tails to serve the clients. It was very busy and in the middle of all the buzzing around to service customers, Jamie the manager starts chiding the workers in a very abrupt, demeaning way. Me and a few other customers looked at each other with alarm and I looked at one of the guys working there and he looked so beaten down by her harsh words. No idea what they were doing wrong because I had already been in there an hour and they were all working hard. I threw in a few extra dollars in the tip jar to try to help make up for such a poorly trained manager. You can have great food, a great environment, great location, great customer service, but hearing the floor manager berate and beat down staff is bad for business. Fire her. read more

I ended up ordering the turkey sandwich with bacon, avocado, and all the fixings (I believe it's called the Rosa Special) on squaw bread. I have to say this sandwich was absolutely delicious. The bacon was perfectly crispy, the turkey was solid, and everything just worked together really well. What really stood out was their house sauce. I'm not sure what's in it, but it was so goooood! I even overheard other customers asking for it on the side. Definitely making a mental note to do that next time and find out exactly what it is. My only downside is the price. It was a bit high (around $18+), and I'm not sure it fully justifies that cost, but the quality is there. Overall, quick service, a really solid sandwich, and a spot I'd recommend if you're in the area.

I only found out because my friend arrived and told me where she had parked. I can't understand why an employee wouldn't share such helpful information with a customer. As for the food, we were the only guests in the restaurant at lunchtime. We ordered a chicken salad and a pasta dish. My salad was very good, but my friend's pasta was unbelievably salty, to the point that it actually burned both of our throats. It was easily the saltiest restaurant dish I've ever tasted. Our server never came back to check on us after delivering the food, so after waiting for quite a while, I had to walk up to the counter and ask her to come to our table. She immediately offered to replace the pasta, and my friend ordered the sausage pasta instead. She really enjoyed the second dish. However, the overall experience was overshadowed by several avoidable service issues: the lack of parking guidance, having to get up to ask for service after receiving an inedible dish, the mix-up with our leftovers, and the lack of follow up after I called. For a first visit, it was disappointing, and it left me unsure whether I would return.

I found myself in a total pinch and placed a last-minute catering order for 30 people at 9:45 PM, less than 14 hours before I needed it delivered. I called the next morning to confirm, and Riley was an absolute rockstar. She handled my frantic check-ins and a few last-minute tweaks with total grace. Her communication was top-notch; if she didn't have an answer immediately, she followed up with me right away. The Beach Hut Deli has the best sandwiches around! I drive there from Laguna Beach when I want an awesome sandwich, chips and a Coke! They have a whole bunch of good food and they serve beer, wine and mixed drinks too! Located on PCH and Ritz Carlton Drive In Monarch Beach. They have a great patio with umbrellas, it's a perfect spot to grab a bite to eat after going to Salt Creek state beach. I like to order the Surfin bird sandwich which is a delicious turkey sandwich that I order with bacon, lettuce and cheese. It comes in a 6 inch 9 inch or 12 inch size. They're very yummy!! read more

Watched the girl at the front run her fingers through the water that was filling up the drinking water container. Sandwiches took another 20 minutes. I got the Beach BBQ. It was good. An easy fix: just remove it before making it. It's happened to me a few times before with no problem. DoorDash even instructed them and myself to do exactly that. Instead, the restaurant refused. So they wasted the food, kept my money, and created a problem where there didn't need to be one. In the end, DoorDash refunded me and I got the extra food for free, but that was DoorDash making it right, not the restaurant. Good food only goes so far for a restaurant, but when the service is this bad the food doesn't make up for it. Get it together.
