    A solid sandwich.

A simple menu of solid deli sandwiches. They're quite hefty and are so stuffed they can be a bit unwieldy--but delicious. There's also a selection of hot sandwiches but I haven't tried them yet.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!! Mouthwatering food #slayedtheday Impeccable service (owner/manager rocks) Beachy vibes #areweinhawaii Owner/manager was awesome and helped us choose a great cold and hot sub. And omg everything was so delicious. Parking is a little hard because there's a million parking complexes but just try to go to the one that Ruth's Chris is located because that's the complex the restaurant will validate. $2 parking in Long Beach. The Ruben was phenomenal. Literally still dreaming about it.

Came here for a quick lunch and I loved it!! I was at a conference and this was across the street. They have great sandwich options and I went with the California. It was fresh and delicious. I also love how their plates are frisbees. I love frisbeeing!! If I'm in the area, I'll be back!

Who doesn't love a good sandwich?! Great ingredients, soft bread! And excellent customer service! Both employees we encountered were so nice and they were so kind and welcoming to my baby girl The vibes and music had me wanting to book a flight to Hawaii ASAP btw Would love to come back if in the area again. Ps it's an easy 10min walk from the aquarium.

My first visit to this restaurant prior to a concert at the Terrace Theatre in Long Beach. Parking at the venue was $15 and a walk to Beach Hut Deli was about five minutes. There's good signage to direct you there and there's plenty of inside and outside patio dining. We sat inside where there was a good sound system playing good music as well. Service was outstanding, very personable and if you're interested in some of their beers on tap, they're happy to let you taste it before you place your order. I ordered the Malibu and my buddy ordered the Sunburn, both hot sandwiches. The reviews were good and I was really looking forward to a good deli sandwich and they certainly did not disappoint. The pastrami in my Malibu was an A+. I was a little concerned about avocado with the pastrami, but it was amazing. My friends sandwich report was just as good as mine, loved it and we can't wait to come back. They have beer on tap as well as wine.

Stopped in here while I was in town for an anime convention and the food was amazing. I have never had a sub that was more packed with meat and toppings. The smallest sub here would still require two hands to eat. The service was quick and super friendly even on this busy weekend. The ambience was great. Beachy rock and reggae tunes filled the shop and even though the space is on the smaller side it has a good layout amd doesnt feel cramped at all. A++

I am being mindful of what I am eating to proactively support my health journey. And I decided to walk from the Long Beach Museum of Art to Cinemark at the pike, in the name of reaching 10,000 steps in a day. As I drew near Cinemark at the Pike, I saw this place, and thought it to be a market, so I decided to walk inside for some bottles of water and spare myself the markup of movie theaters. I did not know that when I entered the spot the waves of destiny would give me an opportunity to serve another. And to that I say Mahalo universe. As I walked in, I saw a hut and a palm tree stenciled or painted (maybe?) to a wooden pot holder (pictured). I thought it was a cool detail, it let me know that I was about to enter a tropical paradise, perhaps a Market with Tiki vibes. The name of the place, was placed upon a yellow surfer. These details gave big Kahona vibes. Once I entered the place, I was greeted by the aroma of bread and sandwich fixings, my assumption was corrected-- this was not a market, it was a sandwich place with tropical-forward decorations. Basically, I entered through the door, and the place said aloha! I did not take pictures of the Big Island motif--- but please know that the place was an island paradise not in full force (do not expect a luau or a roasted pig turning on a pike) but in tasteful decor. I went to the restroom, and found my self pleasantly lost. The bathroom of this place connects other restaurants and offices through corridors. I walked a bit and found a quasi-living room with a flame that seemed real but I knew it was not. I feel comfortable describing it as a fire-fixture for the middle of the quasi-living room. I went inside to order a sandwich that I could take inside to the movies, and enjoy it with the water. I would not get chips, so I could hold myself accountable. I waited at the stand that I assume was the place where you placed orders. I looked around, no one greeted me. Was I in the wrong place? Should I leave? I was waiting, and I was starting to get annoyed. Why was no one greeting me? Then someone did. They would be with me in a second. This might seems like a nit-pick on my part, but understand that when a customer comes in they should be greeted, lack of this grace communicates interruption, not welcome, at least in my world view. Finally, a man by the name of Dave or David came and took my order. I was ordering a mini avocado, and swiss sandwich, with no pickles, pepporicinis, or peppers, just mayo, mustard, lettuce and tomato. I arrived at this order by having David listing all the ingredients that can come in the sandwich. I did not get provolone or pepper jack. As I was ordering, a person came in and ask Dave if they had any food to spare or something akin. He asked her to wait with a raised finger. I turned to her, and said something to the effect of the following: Would you allow me to invite you to a sandwich? I asked Dave if that was ok, and he said it was up to me. It was up to me, I knew, I was implicitly reminding him that we are a trio, but in reality of community and all of us needed to act to the tune of kindness. I wanted my momentary friend to order the sandwich as I did. I wanted her to hear all her options and decided on how she wanted her sandwich best. She decided on pastrami- but did she wanted hot or cold? I wanted her to hear the ingredients and decided what she wanted on the sandwich. She could not fully understand the options, perhaps everything was moving too fast to for her. Dave explained that she could take what she did not want from the sandwhich. Which is true, but I do not like to pick off items, for example pickles, because maybe their juice sopped into the bread. I got a combo. She got the drink and chips. I ordered a water and Dave gave it to me for free, with a wink. Yes, the movement to community had been crystallize. We were now all hula dancing to the same breeze and music, which felt and sounded like kindness. I took my sandwich and her sandwich, and she was waiting outside. I knew mine was the mini and her was the regular. So I gave her hers, and she said thank you, thank you, thank you, more than three tiimes as I walked away. But in reality, she is owed the thank you for allowing me to be of service. And I also thank the universe for giving me. a moment where I can give to another a meal, something that I would want for me. I also thank the universe because the sandwich was great. Yes, it was swiss and avocado, but it hit the spot so good while I watched my movie. I ate something more hearty that movie snacks, and that is truly a moment to celebrate because the land and sea had conspired to usher me into a moment where I did some good, ate something good, and saw something good. And to that I can only say one thing--- Mahalo!

Really enjoyed my sandwich!!! I hadn't been here in a long time bec the bread was so dense and hard the last 5-6 times I went...I love SOFT FRESH bread :-) The owner is always there and awesome. Kids today are different than my day so I'll leave that there. The place is cute. Still the best sandwich shop I know of in the LBC.

Great sandwiches, great soup, great service!  Beach Hut Deli has a very welcoming and helpful staff. Talk to them about what you like and they can steer you the right way. I got the Woody, which has roast beef, bacon, cream cheese, BBQ sauce, Tabasco, onions, lettuce, and mayo on a French roll. It was decadent from the meat and cheese, yet fresh from the amount of lettuce and onions. It was a very full sandwich. I also got their tomato soup with cheese bread dippers, which was phenomenal. It was thick and rich and everything that you would hope for from a tomato soup. I believe it was happy hour when I got there? So there were $5 pours on their draft beers, which they have a unique selection of. I got a cherry blossom and lime seltzer. Overall, I think this is a fantastic stop for lunch if you are in the area. Street parking is plentiful on Ocean Blvd.

If you are going at lunch time, I suggest ordering on their app. Its proximity to the convention center means loads of people come here for lunch. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. I really liked the Beach Bikini. It has turkey with cranberry sauce. The addition of sunflower seeds and spinach really elevated it. I could have ordered it every day and never got sick of it. Employees were welcoming despite being absolutely slammed every time I was there. There aren't many table inside but sitting on their patio is better any way.

Happy hour 4 - 8 pm. Good quality ingredients so the price matches the quality. The decor is cute and they have taps of beer as well. Parking is weird as it's on Ocean. Not sure where it is.

Very pleasant surprise. Wifey and I were in LBC to attend a concert. I forgot how nice downtown is for strolling and enjoying some good food. Beach hut deli offers a very charming beach hut interior with a super nice manager (owner?). He enjoys hosting people you can tell. Our sandwiches were just right. We got the smallest size which was perfectness for the evening. Highly recommend the sunburn. It's a spicy chicken with melted cheese. Very good. The Hobie (Ha Bee not Ho Bee) it's named after a famous surfer. Thanks to the manager I now know this. Stop by and enjoy a good sandwich.

Visually, the burger was impressive and looked exactly like something you'd want to dig into. However, the salt level was overwhelming to the point where I genuinely could not finish it. What made matters worse was that our server was not attentive with refilling our waters, and when you're working through an extremely salty dish, hydration isn't optional. I left the meal feeling dehydrated and honestly a little frustrated. The bright spot of the visit was the Brussels sprouts, which were genuinely well done and showed some real kitchen care. If I were to return, I'd probably stick to the vegetable sides. For a restaurant with a 4 PM lull and minimal table traffic, there's no excuse for that level of inattentiveness. A simple water refill and a quick check in would have saved the experience. As it stands, the combination of an over salted entrée and absent service made for a tough sell on the value. If you're in the area craving a burger, you might want to save your money and head down the street to Louis Burger instead. Ellie's may shine in other areas; I've heard good things about the pasta, but this particular visit missed the mark.

Overall, it was solid--sauce had good flavor, cheese was decent, and the dough was nice. Nothing mind-blowing, but definitely a respectable slice. My only issue was the balance--there was a bit too much cheese for the crust, so even folding it New York-style, it didn't hold up well and kind of fell apart. A little more crisp on the bottom would've made a big difference. I also tried their Sicilian grandma-style focaccia pizza, and honestly, that was a huge letdown. It had this dusty, raw flour taste right away, was dry and spongy, and way overpowered with Parmesan. It just didn't come together at all--pretty disappointing, especially for the price. I've had frozen pizza that tasted better. Ended up just picking at the cheese to salvage something. On the plus side, the service was friendly and the space itself is chill--nice casual vibe with a few tables inside and outside to hang out. All in all, the regular slice was decent, but the focaccia pizza really missed the mark for me. Probably not a spot I'd go back to.

Peruvian Steak sandwich- Spicy aji amarillo marinated steak with Oaxacan cheese, herb aioli, red onions, tomatoes, shredded romaine on a toasted potato roll. I quite liked this. Tender steak, with fatty cheese. The vegetables provided contrast & texture. For my purchase, I went with a side of Southern Potato Salad. It was good, but similar to grocery deli potato salad. In hindsight, I should've purchased avocado added to my Peruvian Steak sandwich. Service was excellent. All hands were on deck, as Mendocino Farms opened only a few days prior. Each employee had a name badge, specifying their name & which entree was their favorite, helping indecisive customers choose what to get. Plenty of seating indoors & al fresco. Parking is at LBX, with Mendocino Farms being across Georgia's and facing the Hangar at LBX. I found the Peruvian Steak sandwich delicious, yet meager in quantity, considering the regular price. It's more of a substantial snack, than a full meal, in my case. However, it's great to have another quality food option in the area, and I look forward to coming back & exploring the rest of menu.

I think it is way too doughy compared to typical focaccia. I like my focaccia airy, with some bounce. This one was like a dense bread. Definitely not my forte for having focaccia. You're able to see in my attached photo just how thick and dense it looks. The salmon bowl itself was pretty refreshing. I think the dresssingggg was perfectly tailored to the bowl.
