This is a very upscale bakery place! There is usually quite a wait to get a seat on the weekends so make sure to go early if you can! They offer a wide variety of selections and also have gluten free options! Occasionally they will have an amazing gluten free muffin or cookie available! The potato's that come with the meal are also very delicious and so good when they are warm and fresh. Dogs are welcome in the outside seating area that has covers and is usually hosting a party of some sort. I would highly recommend this breakfast spot for a special occasion! Just tried this place for the first time this weekend and it was sooo good. My boyfriend and myself both got the make your own omelet and they exceeded our expectations by far. I normally think omlettes are kind of basic and boring but the options for the 5 filler ingredients are great! I got turkey sausage, bacon, chorizo, poblanos and onions and it was sooooo good. Came here for breakfast while at a wedding nearby and it was cheaper, larger and much more delicious than the fancy hotel we were staying at. I got the corned beef hash and my girlfriend got an omelette, and a lemon ricotta pancake. We sat at the counter and the service was terrific and friendly. I honestly didn't enjoy mine that much, but it's really not their fault. This was actual corned beef shredded over a skillet with potatoes and eggs on top. I am apparently a simpler man who likes the canned hash consistency, as the eggs didn't provide enough liquid to really soak into either part of the dish making it a bit dry. Pancake was awesome. I'm not sure whether if it was because my 7 person party went to Beach Plum Kitchen on New Years Day or it was just because the service and food was not as great as the reviews seem to make this place out to be. Beach Plum has a great atmosphere and warm open concept. Unfortunately that is where my praise of experience stops. My girlfriend and I both ordered omelettes, both of which were either missing items or items showing up that were not ordered. For me I received capers in my omelette that I did not order. My girlfriend didn't receive avocado until she was nearly done with the entire meal. Waiter didn't come back to check on us after our food came out right away. This is probably one of the reasons in our party of seven, 3 people's side orders of toast and my girlfriend and I's order of "homemade" coffee cake came out 10 minutes. That being said "homemade" coffee cake is something to stand for on a menu..the coffee cake we received resembled more of exceedingly dry-sugary cornbread. The waiter said that he would take some items of the check because they came out late and wrong.... No items were comped on the check. I am willing to give this restaurant another chance because 4 out of 7 of our party did enjoy the food and maybe I ordered the wrong item and/or it was service as well. We went here for brunch today and it was delicious! My friend got the eggs Benedict California, she really loved it & I tried the Migas and it was super flavorful. The side of fruit was actually nice size pieces and good variety of fruit. The side of potatoes were yummy and flavorful. Literally everything we tried was good. The decor was so cute, the waiter was tentative and the service was good. Overall a good experience and we'll definitely be back, there are so many items on the menu to try! read more

We put our names down at 10am and at 11:30am we are still waiting. The hostess continually told us that half of our table is ready but they are waiting for the other 4- who have been sitting there for awhile. I don't blame the guests on the other table who might not have known that we were airing outside but I do blame the restaurant not handling the situation better. They continually ask us to be patient - honestly- that line only last for so many times. Not impressed with the lack of customer service- I don't care how good the food is. I told my husband we could head back for breakfast any time. Owners Grant and Jenny know how to create the perfect table settings with quality food preparations, excellent coffee, and with excellent jams and jellies.. The flatware is smartly designed and top of the line. Too many restaurants in the area lay out the cheapest flatware - bearing down on it actually hurts your finger. All their servers present with a caring smile; that indicates respect and appreciation for their diners. Beach Plum is a five star treat, and the wait line speaks to that as well. read more

Not a great experience today. Started off with the host misunderstanding 2 adults and a toddler to mean 2 dogs. Ordered the California Eggs Benedict (which I've had here before) and the Turkey Wrap with chips. Chips on turkey wrap were literally stale. Wrap itself was just boring. The eggs benedict when cutting into the egg oozed a ridiculous amount of warm water. We immediately summoned our server who then reordered another dish but this time gave me fried eggs. He obviously misunderstood. We asked to talk to a manager but had to get up to find one, both were off to the side making/drinking mimosas for themselves and the other servers. Before reading, I'd like to say that my review isn't a very happy one, but I encourage people to try the place themselves, as you may have a different experience. I saw multiple people who were excited to eat here, so read a few more reviews and then make your decision. The food is good, but the service my family and I received from our supposed waitress was very bad. We were first sat, and they didn't bother to tell us we had to scan the QR code to get the menu, just told us a server would be with us soon, I thought it was odd, but brushed it off because they were fairly busy. When our waitress arrived, she asked us our day and we responded and then asked about her day, trying to be polite and hopefully giving her a small good part of her day. She said her day was well after a moment of hesitation, and it didn't feel as though she was very pleased with us asking. While ordering, I was craving something with lemon, so I ordered the Lemon Ricotta pancakes. I asked for no jam, as the menu said it was blueberry jam and I'm allergic to blueberries. Our waitress basically disregarded my request and said it comes on the side. My grandmother stepped in and made it clear that I'm allergic and can't have it, and I followed asking for strawberry jam instead. Our waitress looked annoyed, and I couldn't trust that she put it in until I got them, and had my sister try the jam to confirm. I hated doing that, because I would like to trust that she understood, but with the service we received up to getting our meals, I had to. Other than that, I had no problems with my meal, it was very delicious and I would order it again if I were to return. My grandfather ordered the corned beef hash, and he was very displeased with his meal. It came with eggs, and he ordered them over medium. When he received his meal, the has was haphazardly thrown into a dish similar to a skillet with the eggs on top. He was surprised at this, expecting them to come on a plate with the eggs on the side. He didn't complain, and ate his meal. He was very disappointed while eating it, said the eggs were cooked on the outside, but the whites on the inside were still clear and obviously undercooked. His was the only meal that was not pleasant at all. Throughout our whole time there, we barely saw our waitress, and when we did, she acted as if she didn't want to be there. I understand that being a waitress is a difficult and sometimes stressful job, what with customers getting upset with you when there's a problem, even if it's not your fault, but it would have been a better experience for us had we at least seen her more, gotten more service from her. There were other servers and hostesses that were more than happy to help with our requests through our time. read more

My husband and I have come in here three separate times. I originally left a five star review, but can't do it anymore. The service is really bad. The staff is unfriendly from the moment you walk in the door until the moment you leave. They engage in zero pleasantries and don't pay you so much as a smile. It makes it so uncomfortable. I found this place on Yelp when I was in the area with a friend. I wanted a good brunch and I found this place. I sat inside , right away. It wasn't that busy about 2pm , I think they were abut to close. But ordered a BLT, with there homemade chips , the blt was yummy. Nice crispy bacon,spinach was fresh and aovcodo too. I have known about this place for breakfast/brunch for about four years now and it has never disappointed. I usually get the breakfast burritos and the create your own omelette. When I am feeling in the mood for something sweet I have gotten some of their pancakes. The coffee cake there is awesome and they make good lattes. The staff is super friendly and even on busy days they are still really good at making sure everyone at each table is getting what they need. The patio is a great place to sit since it is well shaded and has clean outside tables/chairs. Really awesome place for having breakfast with friends and family. read more

He got kids pancakes - which does not include even a drink - I asked if they could make them chocolate chip and they sprinkled literally seven chocolate chips on the top, seven, I counted, - and they charged me for it. I got some kind of breakfast bowl, and it was very average. Nothing was wrong with any of the food but it absolutely was not worth the price that they're charging. And then they had the gall on top of it to charge a 5% kitchen fee at the very end. If you don't want to pay your staff a living wage that's on you, but you put it into the prices ahead of time, don't ambush customers on their bill with an extra fee when they're not expecting it. We found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a go based on the positive feedback. We weren't disappointed! We went on a Sunday morning and it was busy. The option to be added to the waitlist on Yelp was amazing!! It constantly updated us as to what position we were on the list and also decreased our wait time! When we did wait they had coffee and coffee cake to sample as well as a bin full of kid friendly distractions. We waited about 15 minutes once we were there in person. The food and coffee was delicious! We ordered a dirty chai and a dark and white mocha, absolutely delicious! The strawberry shortcake pancakes were a fluffy slice of heaven!! Beach Plum Kitchen is my FAVORITE breakfast place. My husband and I come here almost every weekend. I'm pretty sure we get the same server every time and she knows what we like and how my husband drenches his omelette in Tabasco! Before we get there, I always put our name on the waitlist, which you can find on their website. It's always packed Saturday and Sunday mornings, but if you go after noon, then it slows down so the wait isn't as long. I've gotten the hash, which comes with eggs of your choice, and meat or veggies. My husband always gets the build-your-own omelette. I have also tried the salmon scramble with egg whites and I have them add goat cheese too. It is phenomenal! For drinks, my husband and I get a dirty chai latte with almond milk. One of our faves spot for those too! It's definitely a must-go-to when you're around the area. Very family and pet friendly! read more
