    Plenty of eclair options

Original creampuff Chocolate eclair Strawberry eclair The Original creampuff with the vanilla filling is the must try here. Plenty of eclair varieties and filling flavor options. Got the 6 pack box and the handle broke off on the way home. Luckily the creampuffs didn't fall out.

Beard Papa's is found within Tokyo Central in the food court. What is unique about Beard Papa's is that you get to choose puffs from a variety of options and choose between 4 flavors of custard filling. The service provided to us was very great with fast and attentive employees making sure they waste no time. The two employees working at the time were very friendly and helped us choose what to get. Eventually, we settled on the Ube puff with the vanilla custard filling. It was good, the outer ube shell was very delicious along with the vanilla custard. For the ambiance, as it's located within Tokyo Central, it shares its locations with many other restaurants packed together. The food court itself offers seats but it's nothing fancy or special. Good experience here at Beard Papa's. I would recommend it as it was very good.

Located inside the grocery store of Little Tokyo

Stumbled upon this spot while shopping in Little Tokyo. They have a wide selection of pastries and we wanted to try them all. Love that you select your puff and then select the cream you prefer inside. Flavors taste authentic and the puff dough was nice and flaky yet held its form well. Service was great. The young woman working was professional and kind. She gave great recommendations based on her preferences and what other customers enjoy. Ultimately we selected the honey puff with chocolate cream and the cinnamon puff with strawberry cream. Can't wait to go back and try other flavor combos!

Beard Papa makes delicious cream puffs. They have an assortment of shells and fillings which you can create delicious treats. These cream puffs stay firm, days after they're filled and still delicious. These make terrific sweet treats, gifts or a simple dessert. Next time you're thinking of buying a cake or pie, get a box of these instead, you'll thank me. The store front counter is right in front if you, its always clean and the staff are very polite. This is inside a Japanese market, you can shop for groceries and other food stalls too. There is plenty of parking in the lot.

The original puff that I tried was nice! It tasted a bit different compared to a couple of years ago but overall it tasted fine. But then I tried the chocolate cream puffs and they tasted moldy..? I checked the puff for any exterior signs of mold but I couldn't find any thankfully, but it still tasted like mold. I even quadrupled checked to be sure. Hm, I don't know maybe it's just the refrigerator taste but oh well. A bit disappointed as now I have to dump the rest

Have you ever looked at dessert and just could help but smile? Every time I have a cream puff from Beard Papa's that is my reaction. The giant choux pastry shells are dipped in chocolate and topped with a variety of toppings then filled fresh with a vanilla, chocolate, or green tea custard. This beard papa's is found in the little food court inside Tokyo Central and you can't miss it. Please try it if you're ever in the area.

Tried the ube flavored puff with green tea filling and was great! The staff there was very kind and gave excellent customer service and the ambiance is fast casual since it's inside the Glendale Galleria Mall!

I haven't had Beard Papa's in years! What a great these were. So many of my childhood memories include these. The CHOCOLATE WITH CHOCOLATE CREAM inside was the best! We even had them in the fridge for a while but I couldn't wait until they were room temp. They were super rich and wonderfully light. The classic CREAM PUFF was delicious of course. Perfectly plump and cream filled! These are great. The HONEY BUTTER were decent. I couldn't taste a lot of a different flavor. Of course the cream puff itself was still great. I'd probably choose the first two for the future.

I really wanted to try everything again since I haven't been to a Beard Papas in maybe 7 years, but I was super full and also was getting a drink after lol. Went with one my my favorite flavors instead of 5 like I wanted. Green tea with green tea filling. The outside green tea flavor was very sweet and thick on the cream puff. Bit into the inside to taste the cream, and it was not sweet like the outside. It paired perfectly and cut the sweetness of the outside. The bottom of the cream puff was really crunchy and hard. Flakes everywhere and made a mess. I wish it was softer, so 4.5/5 I want a different flavor now. Yum! Would recommend

Then there's more! I had seen some social media posts raving about this place & with this being located in the South Bay area, I knew it was going to be worth the drive. There are 3 different courses to choose from, Tenma Omakase $50 - appetizers of pickled vegetables, beef soup, 5 varieties of wagyu meat, curry rice, today's dessert. Butcher Omakase $75 - appetizers of pickled vegetables, beef soup, US Wagyu sashimi, 7 varieties of meat, curry rice, today's dessert. Wagyu Omakase $90 - appetizers of pickled vegetables, beef soup, US Wagyu sashimi, 7 varieties of meat, curry rice, Chef's special dessert. You have a choice of beef curry or upgrading for A5 Wagyu sushi $10 & adding uni for another $10. I got the Butcher Omakase with the A5 Wagyu sushi topped with uni. They bring the big slab of wagyu sushi & literally torch it to give it an added flavor. It was definitely good but I would actually skip the uni as the creamy flavor of uni & the fatty wagyu flavor cancel each other out. It diminishes the greatness of 2 amazing ingredients. The beef soup is a consommé made from the wagyu bones/trimmings & it has such a richness, the bold umami flavor really leaves you speechless. The pickled vegetables and kimchi were okay. I would have preferred spinach goma-ae or something like a small cucumber & wakame salad. Each course of meat was slightly different. There were 3 different cuts of tongue, all good but the cut from the underside of the tongue was a bit chewy. As each course came, the meat quality & flavor kept getting better! All of us agreed that the best & the star of the Omakase is/was the Wagyu Sukiyaki!! The sweet smell of the sukiyaki sauce drizzled over the wagyu as it sizzled on the grill was drool-worthy. Once it was quickly cooked, the wagyu is dipped into the whipped sukiyaki cream! It looked so weird but it was absolutely heavenly!! You can order small bowl of ramen or extra cuts of different wagyu but the Sukiyaki Wagyu is not available a la carte or as an extra serving. Darn it! The dessert was a Hoji-cha purin (pudding or more like flan). I've never had Hoji-cha purin & it was actually as good if not better than matcha to end the scrumptious meal. The service there was top notch, each dish was explained well and they cooked the meat quickly with attention to detail, good presentation. Our waitress even came out from behind the counter to take pictures of our extended family by the wall sign next to the front door! Wagyu Butcher has a wrap around rectangular counter seating only so it is a bit tricky to seat in a big group. We had 6 of us and it was hard to have a conversation with everyone. The only problem I saw with this seating arrangement was how they accommodate guests in wheelchairs or special mobility devices. Maybe they have a table in the back corner that I didn't see from where I sat. We all want to go back again for the next special occasion dinner! It was worth every minute of the drove down & more!!
