I write this review with a heavy heart. I was really looking forward to this experience. A friend of mine just had his birthday and we were planning on coming here to celebrate. Though I had watched several YouTube shorts and a couple long form videos on this experience, which warned me of the things I am about to mention, I still had high hopes. We were coming on a Sunday night, so I was encouraged that a less crowded environment would make for a better experience over all. So, I will start with the positives... The outside of the cafe was decorated themed and as we were standing outside to be greeted by the hostess, we felt excited to go in. Walking in, we noticed the place is decorated with a lot of demon slayer cutouts, merch and has a room that makes you feel like you are in the Infinity Castle. So, the overall vibe was cool. But, that is where the positives end for me... The hostess showed us to our booth. It was small and we were a little "snug" with 5 of us. We were told that we needed to go up to the counter to order, so there was not really a server for us. We brushed it off because it markets itself as a cafe, not a restaurant. We were told to go order first before looking around because the orders tend to take a long time. The place is small. It did it's best with what it had and again, the decor was pretty cool. However, one would think that doing a collaboration with Ufotable... creator of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Movie: Infinity Castle (2025) the highest-grossing anime film of all time, the consumer experience would be important to the owners. This felt like a money grab pretty much from the moment one placed an order. Everything is ridiculously over priced from the themed drinks to entire menu. I am used to paying a lot for drinks and themed food, for example Disney... But... there is an expectation that the food would match the pricing in quality for the most part. We stayed less than an hour. We ordered the snack tower and two of the themed drinks. I had planned to get the themed drinks for our whole party but they couldn't bring themselves to order them because of the price. I had paid $150 for a snack tower and 2 drinks at this point. We were planning on having dinner there. The snack tower was the horderves. Everyone shared the drinks, which were extremely sweet. They were almost undrinkable. I had to chase with water because of how sweet the drinks were. We had to wait about 15 minutes for our drinks In regards to the snack tower, it took about 40 minutes to get. We all shared it and immediately we were disappointed in the quality of the food. It felt like frozen food heated up. Nothing was fresh. The snack tower was $68 and there was 4 of each item on it. Sliders and chips, pot stickers, shrimp tempera and mochi ice cream. My party felt like they needed to eat it because we ordered it and the price point. We ate some of it and then decided to go somewhere else to eat. We didn't even stay for my friend to open his birthday present. He did that in the car. I like trying out new things and new places. I have not done a YELP review in a long time. This needed one. If you are going to continue to partner with anime franchises, DO BETTER BEAROLOGY. read more

Placed a reservation ahead of time to be guaranteed a spot. When I got there was told that my reservation doesn't guarantee a full table for just my party because it was just two of us. Meaning another small party may sit with us. Thankfully it didn't turn out that way. Another party next to us had to share a table. So plan your visit accordingly. The food was good. We went to Bearology for their Demon Slayer immersive Infinity Castle experience, and it completely exceeded our expectations. From the moment you walk in, the details, visuals, and atmosphere make you feel like you've stepped straight into the anime. The immersive setup was so well thought out. Perfect for photos, videos, and just soaking in the experience as a fan. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do, which made the visit even better. Drinks were beautifully crafted and delicious, adding to the overall experience. If you're a Demon Slayer fan (or just love creative pop-ups and themed experiences), this is a must-visit. This is one of the cutest pop up restaurants I have ever been to! I went for the Squishmallows event and for those of you who don't know what it is, they're really cute stuffed animals aimed at children, but they're so adorable that adults like me love them, too! Like when I went, they sat me down next to a couple of women in their late 20's and they were as excited about this place as I was! As for the food itself, they had these dessert bears that have the taste and texture of chocolate mousse. I loved them so much that I ate a chocolate raspberry one while I was there and then ordered another one to take home. There are 2 other flavors, so I ordered those to take home as well. The panda is cheesecake and the brown panda is mango passionfruit. For actual food, I got a grilled cheese sandwich where the inside was supposed to be rainbow colored, but mine was mostly red with some purple that dripped out from the bottom. I read at least one review say the food was cold, but that wasn't the case with me. It came out nice and hot when I got it. As far as merchandise goes, you're spoiled for choice. They had everything from drink containers you can take home to a vending machine to a claw machine. They also had some photo ops. Before I even stepped inside an employee saw me taking a bunch of pictures, so she offered to take mine. Then when I got inside, one of the young women I was sat down with offered to take my photo in the truck. They also give you a passport and if you fill it up with 6 stamps you get a prize. I only got 2 because for the 1st one I pointed out certain characters, and the 2nd one I got for spending at least $100, which was quick for me to do because I loved everything so much! The other stamps would be like if you came back again or tried everything on the special menu. I enjoyed this experience so much that I'm going to keep an eye on this restaurant now and see what other themes they come up with in the future. 4++ it should be noted that I came here for the Demon Slayer: Mugen Train pop-up experience (set to end on August 10th, 2025) and not your normal business as usual. In terms of the vibe, I think they did a pretty awesome job and converting this to look like a train cart. The people here were definitely fans of Demon Slayer at the time of my visit. The experience: it should also be noticed that I'm not Demon Slayer fan. I've been getting into the anime because my niece and nephew are fans and I booked this experience intending to get swag for them. You make a reservation online for $10 and when you go, that $10 is applied towards your bill. Since I was by myself, I was paired with another couple. It seriously isn't that big of a deal. It's kinda like going to lots of restaurants in LA where there's communal tables. It kinda does feel like you're sitting across from strangers just like on a train. As for the food, I ordered everything. The food overall was solid. It didn't blow my mind, but it wasn't bad. At a small café like this with a themed pop-up I honestly didn't expect Michelin star rated food. I would more associated with going to a theme park like Disneyland. I personally never went there specifically for the food, but often find food items or eateries that are enjoyable. I ate the onigiri and the churro while I was there. It was way too much food for me. So I ended up bringing the meal inside the bento box home for lunch the next day, which reheated nicely. The game inside and the decor was pretty amazing, especially for a small café like this. I especially liked how they made it look like you were looking outside of a train window with the animation. The people were nice and helpful too. What an incredible experience! As a fan of the demon slayer anime (dub, not sub!), this was definitely a unique outing for me and my family. The interior is beautiful, faithfully capturing the infinity tower's aesthetic. The food was a mixed bag; while I liked the ramen, potato chips c and chicken katsu sliders, I felt the ice cream that was part of the appetizer platter was overly sweet. This place is overrated and overpriced. There was a Demon Slayer theme inside and I was confused as to why. I mean, there were cut outs of some of the characters from the fandom and merchandise you're able to purchase, but other than that, nothing exceptional. I decided to order a bento box and I felt like I was being scammed. The bento box without the wooden Demon Slayer theme was $15. I could've purchased a beef bowl twice the size and for half the price at the business that rhymes with "so-shinoya." I also ordered a milk tea boba and I regret even ordering it; the beverage was served overflowing with milk tea and wasn't even wiped/cleaned off when handed to me. There were also house flies landing everywhere on the tables. The sight of that just turned me off. Inside was dark and loud. It's supposed to give you the feeling that you're riding on a train. This review is for the Bearology Demon Slayer pop-up event! We went on a Thursday evening and the event was fully booked. You'll need to RSVP online and pay a $10 deposit per person, which becomes store credit during your visit. Even though our reservation was for 7:30pm, we weren't seated until after 8pm. If you're in a small group like us (we were two), expect to be seated with another pair at the same table. They still had the themed "train tickets," but the bento boxes had run out, so the gyudon was served in a takeout container instead. The setup inside is cute, it's decorated like a long train with Demon Slayer cutouts, photo ops, themed moving "windows," and an agility game in the back. There's also merch for sale, including posters and collectibles. The train tickets have a space on the back for stamps you collect by achieving certain things including: coming a second time, spending $100, buying all the seasonal food items, completing the agility game, etc. The staff was really professional. The front-of-house manager handled a persistent walk-in group of ten with a huge amount of patience, guiding them through options even though it was unlikely they'd get seated. The cashier who took our order was also kind and helpful. There were four specialty drinks that come in Demon Slayer tumblers for $25. I didn't think the tumbler design was worth it, so I went with the Nezuko Box mug instead. It also costs $25 but changes design with hot water, which felt more fun. We split the following: *Gyudon Bento Box: Since the themed box was unavailable, it was discounted to $13 if I recall correctly. It was fine, a standard convenience store gyudon with some ginger, half a boiled egg, and two tofu cubes. I thought it was okay, but my boyfriend felt it was underwhelming, especially for an event-exclusive item. *Popcorn Chicken + Ruffle Fries: This was disappointing. It came with 8 chicken nuggets over round-cut fries, not ruffle fries like the listing or photos showed. The fries weren't crispy or soft, just an odd in-between. I also normally don't mind chicken nuggets but the picture showed Taiwanese popcorn chicken style so it what we received was unexpected. It didn't match the menu description, and that felt misleading. *Mango Berry Green Tea: Way too sweet. It tasted more like syrup than tea and was viscous because of it. We tried adding ice, but I still couldn't finish it. I think it could have been good if better balanced. Overall, the pop-up was a fun, immersive experience. I appreciated the effort put into the atmosphere and theming. My boyfriend surprised me with the visit, which I loved. But the food just didn't live up to expectations, and the prices were steep for what we got. I think the bear cups are gimmicks and are just an excuse for them to charge a higher price, but for less of the actual drink itself. I came here for dessert after a meal and ordered the Peach White Tea ($6.75) with Boba ($0.50). I got my usual customization of less ice and less sweetness. The drink itself was good. They forgot to put boba in my drink at first but fixed it immediately when I brought it up. The boba was also really good. They use honey boba and it was nice and chewy. The drink was finished really quickly though and while the plastic bear jars are cute, since the lid has a hole in it when you poke the straw through, it basically becomes unusable afterwards. For $7 I would rather get more of the drink than just a cute bear cup that's going to end up in the trash anyway. I liked the drinks that I've tried here but the price isn't worth it in my opinion. We came for the Infinity Castle experience on a Friday Night. My whole family are fans of Demon Slayer, and even as a casual enjoyer, I admired all the little details and touches, from a Demon Slayer fighting game in the corner to an appetizer platter representing the eponymous infinity castle itself. I highly recommend making an advance reservation since its crowded and has a lot of foot traffic. Fortunately, the staff on hand was friendly and managed the flow of people nicely. Food was delightful. They make an instant ramen for you with several good options. I went with a pasta carbonara combined with cheese. My friend and I came in for a little birthday lunch but left very disappointed. The owner needs to re-evaluate how they run their business. We had a reservation for 2 people at 2pm and when we arrived at 2pm all the tables were filled. We waited for 30 more minutes to ultimately cancel our reservation. We paid a $20 deposit and got that refunded thankfully. However if you can't accommodate for reservations, limit the amount of people you can sit. It was overcrowded and there were only 3 staff members. The server was very nice but the employees looked overworked. Didn't get to try the food sadly so I can't rate how good it was. I'm out in Cali for training and this spot popped up on my business IG from a reel they shared. My kid is a huge Demon Slayer fan -- and honestly, so am I -- so there was no way I wasn't checking this out for her. From the moment I walked in, it was a 10/10 experience. I had the chance to talk with Teddy and the rest of the staff, and they were absolutely incredible. Genuine, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they're doing. You can tell they care about the overall experience just as much as the theme. The food was great, the drinks were top-notch, and the entire pop-up was executed so well. I honestly wish I had come earlier for more merch because it was moving fast. That said, thanks to the generosity of Teddy and the team, I was able to get a few items that weren't available anymore -- and that meant a lot. They truly went above and beyond. My party and I booked a reservation for the Demon Slayer collaboration event cafe due to the reviews stating the wailtist being extremely long otherwise. If you still plan on going, I would highly encourage booking ahead as there was a huge crowd waiting outside once we left. That being said, my party and I ordered a the food items (bento box, onigiri, and churro) as well as the Tanjiro tumbler with the Yuzu Passionfruit lemonade. Unfortunately, the drinks are not adjustable, and the lemonade was way too sweet and sour. Like other reviews, the food was terrible and not worth the $15+ you are paying for. The rice in the onigiri was extremely dry and tough to chew, while the churro just tasted like cinnamon. The bento box was the best food item out of the three as it comes with the souvenir box, but quality is so so when it comes to the $25 you are paying for. While the staff were pretty amicable, you had to reach out to them frequently to understand how the stamps worked, and were not helpful in providing an immerseful event. February 2026 Review of the Demon Slayer theme Ambiance: this was actually so awesome. The mirror effects and all the characters and design was amazing. We took our anime-obsessed kids and they were volunteering for photos and trying to figure out the mirror effects. THIS was one of the big reasons we chose to come to Bearology. Service: SUPER friendly and checking in. They were not super busy when we went but I was told they expect crowds once word of the new theme gets out. There is a QR code to view the menu at the table, the menu is also posted outside the door. **SEATING: There are not very many tables (small shop) and they are four person booths, so keep that in mind if you are attempting to come with a larger group. Food: as a themed cafe the menu is limited, but enjoyable. Not super exciting but it IS themed to match Demon Slayer which was super fun. My kids devoured the tower. I got the ramen which is legit instant noodles. They do have some interesting toppings to choose from including spam. The prices are higher as most themed cafes are. For our family it was a great experience and worth the cost for us. The kids loved the lychee apricot tea and the watermelon limeade (that one was sour). Judging from social media reviews I knew the food wasn't great but my husband really wanted to try the themed food anyway. We ordered themed drink with the mug (25 Freaken dollars by the way), an almond milk tea, popcorn chicken, a churro, and the bento box. Everything that was themed was sold out. The bento box didn't come with a decorated box and was literally basically worse than yoshinoya. The popcorn chicken was horrendously salty. I couldn't take another bite and threw it away. The almond milk tea did not taste like almond at all. I could literally see the powders in there not mixed in. This place is a rip off. I do not recommend. read more

I debate giving this Bearology a 3 or 4. I'd say it's a 3.5 if anything. 5 stars for the staff and decor, set up, it's really a nice set up. The 3 due to lack of available merchandise and the quality of the drinks and food. This review is both for their normal menu and the Delon Slayer Mugen train experience. Prices are definitely priced as a money grab, but you expect that with these types of events/pop-ups. $25 for the tumbler that includes a drink and blind pack credit card cover. $25 for the Nezuko color changing mug. Sadly the one thing I really wanted, the apron for $50 was sold out. Looks like the bento boxes were sold out as well as I I saw people get food in a simple Togo container. For the Demon slayer experience, I highly recommend trying to get a reservations from opentable. You put down $10/person but you get the credit back during your experience. They do accept walk ins but expect 90min and longer waits. We saw people there before we arrived and still waiting after we left. Reservations is also the way to get the ticket cards if that's something you want. There's challenges you can complete while there. Our reservations were for Sunday at 2:30pm. We arrived early at 2:15 and were seated promptly at 2:30. As stated while making the reservations, parties of 3 or less will share a booth. Not a problem for a party of two, but it can get really tight when they try to squeeze 3 people in a double booth. Beautiful decor and they set the ambiance perfectly. Love the train feel and the moving screens. Now for actual food and drinks reviews. Their drinks are way too sweet and you can't say their tea, there's barely any tea taste at all in their drinks. We got the strawberry green tea, even less sweet, you can't taste the tea and it's overly sweetened. The tumbler, we got the strawberry lychee milk tea. I think these are premade in big batches and again it's just overly sweetened. It tastes like strawberry milk. No tea and hints of the lychee. Cute tumbler, not even close to being "worth" the price. The sword churro was fine, $8, nothing special but comes in a paper handle. Mango mouse was good, probably my favorite item. Very cute. Overall it was a fun experience, I'd come back for some other experiences in the future (sad I missed the Arcane one). I wouldn't come for just drinks/desserts though read more

Came here for the Demon Slayer pop up and it was definitely a money grab experience. Upon arrival, a lot of people were outside waiting. The hostess seemed to be pretty stressed. Once we were seated, we were a party of 2 and had to share a booth with 2 people across from us. We both agreed the vibe was not it. You order from the cashier and everything on the menu is way overpriced and the onigiri $9 tasted like the canned tuna you had in elementary school. The lemonade was too sweet and not worth $25, even though you got to keep the cup. It was weird seeing a cut out poster next to all the bathroom supplies and seeing the "Mugen Train animation" displayed on the laptop. Stayed for only 20min and left. Nothing felt like Demon Slayer. Waste of time and money! Better to spend your money on a one day AX ticket since you'll be spending the same price. If you really want to experience it, I suggest getting items to go so you don't have to pay $20 for reservations and you can see the inside. read more

Fun concept to do pop-up with different IP. This review is only for the Demon Slayer pop up and NOT the regular Bearology menu. I went on a Saturday and it was busy! First you need to make a reservation on Open Table where you have to pay $10 up front and then they credit you when you order. You have to have your whole group there to be seated and we waited a bit but wasn't too bad. They ran out of tickets and the boxes that the bento came in, which is unfortunate. You have four choices of drinks, all of them an astounding $25 for an OK drink in a Demon Slayer cup. I got the Nezuko Box mug that changes in hot water which is pretty cool. The tumblers.... I can't see them being worth the price. The bento box (Normally $25) was actually pretty good with a decent amount of food (I was suprised), and because they didn't have the boxes they gave us a discount. My friends got the churros ($8) which the menu looks like you get two, so they really need to change that. I was told they were OK, it's cool they come in a sword hilt handle which is good for pictures and coolness. The Tuna Onigiri looked OK but at $9 and for the size the bento box seems like a better value. There are several spots to take some cool pictures inside and outside. If you've seen Mugen Train it's a pretty cool version of the movie. They even have videos on the side to make it feel like you are in a moving train. They have huge cut outs of the different characters including the bad guy Enmu near the bathroom. They also give you stamps on your train card if you do specific things, and I've been told if you fill it up completely (which takes at least two trips and spending over $100), that you get a prize. They also have some games, so there is the agility game in the back corner which was pretty hard, I could only get 6 out of 10. And if they have enough workers they can run a werewolf style game with the demon slayer team which was pretty interesting. Of course they also have additional Demon Slayer paraphernalia you can buy including posters, plushies and backpack. We were told you can also order some of the regular Bearology menu but I wanted to go all in on the Demon Slayer stuff this time around. Though that stuff seems to be cheaper in general. Im rating the demon slayer experience that was held at this location. Parking and location was very easy to find. You walk in and check in with a host. There are 7 tables and you get paired with a different group if you have a small group of 2-3 people. You need reservations to experience the event. However, the regular bearology drinks and desserts were available for regular customers to get. $10/person is the entrance fee that will be used as credit to purchase food or drinks. Now, it is a little pricey for the bento box. It was $25.. a churro was $8. As my friend and husband described it, the food was mid. We just had to try it. The bento box meat tasted like yoshinoya beef bowl. Their onigiri was interesting, tuna was used as the protein. I got the nezuko drink. I really dont like milk tea, so I didnt like it. If they made it into a lemonade, I would have loved it more. Cute little photo props outside and inside. There was also a little game located in the back that is the reflex grabbing machine where sticks fall down and you have to grab them. Too many people to try and play it. They also ran out of the tickets so we didnt get a souvenir from the experience. Anyways, its a cute little popup. I enjoyed the churro a lot, but for $70, you can spend it elsewhere. If you go there and get the churros, you're good to go to cover your $10 entrance fee. read more

Came here with friends on the first day of the Demon Slayer: Mugen Train pop-up event, excited to kick it off with some themed food and drinks. The best part was definitely meeting other fans who share the same love for Demon Slayer. The vibe among attendees was fun and welcoming. That said, everything else felt like a money grab. We ordered the churro, grilled onigiri with tuna salad, and the drinks--which were $25 each. On top of that, we had to pay for a reservation (which counted as credit toward the bill), but even with that, the night ended up costing the three of us around $100. The drinks were okay, the food was nothing special, and the overall experience didn't really match the hype or price. Unless you're a hardcore fan who just wants to say you went, it's a pretty expensive way to show your love for the series. read more

Bearology in Temple City was such a fun spot to check out. The Demon Slayer collab made the whole experience feel extra cool and unique, especially if you're a fan. The drinks were good, the theme was fun, and it felt like they put effort into making it more than just a regular boba run. NOT THE BEST EXPERIENCE + RAW CHICKEN CONSUMPTION I really wanted to love this experience, and overall we still enjoyed parts of it despite some issues we ran into. We came in with a reservation for 2 and ended up sharing our booth with another party due to limited space (which was mentioned during booking, so we were aware beforehand). However, one thing to keep in mind is that if you do end up sharing a table, only one party is allowed to order the $68 snack tower because the table "can't fit 2 towers." That means if the second party still wants the same food, it'll be served on regular plates instead of the tower presentation, despite being the same price. Since the presentation is a big part of the experience, that was a little disappointing. The bigger issue was with the katsu burger. Halfway through my second sandwich, I realized the chicken was still pink/raw in the middle. We informed the owner and were told that "it's hard to tell in this lighting" , though he did offer to remake it. At that point we had already eaten most of our meal and were full, so we declined. To his credit, he came back to apologize and gave us a complimentary cake, which we appreciated. Not a terrible experience overall, but definitely one with some disappointing moments. read more

It's a bit hidden in the plaza, but we stopped by for a drink after walking around Daiso. They have a pad for you to self-order, so I opted for the Mango Coconut White Tea ($6.75) with less sugar and ice. Within a few minutes, our drink was ready. It comes in a cute plastic bear cup, which is adorable. They also have some cute bear desserts too to dive in with the theme. read more

Came during an event they are having until December for squishmallows. The shop was decorated and really colorful. The staff were friendly, inviting, and helpful. We ordered a couple drinks to try out and they were good. The milk tea is what you would expect and the pineapple lemonade was sour sweet and refreshing. Would definitely come back here. They have an event for squishmallow that you have to make reservations for which looked cool, they also had a cotton candy machine inside that made cool designs. Big parking lot but there are a lot of surrounding businesses but wasn't hard for us to find parking close by. read more

Did not even get to go in. No one mentioned we need a reservation on open table even it's web site. We go there employee said manager just told them to no take anymore walk ins as they are very behind. He told me to keep trying in OpenTable to get a reservation but open table wasn't updated? It ask me to join the wait list and said we are #2, when the front person looked it shows there are 6 tables on waitlist. Very disappointed to not be able to see the inside. read more

Came for the Squishmallow pop-up immersive experience and it was cute! It's quite small inside, so don't be fooled by the videos online haha but it was still nice. I liked the pork katsu sliders and the Squish Coco (coconut pudding, includes tiki mug). The mug was really cute too. The decoration was very on brand. It's really cool how Bearology is doing all these collabs with big brands. Excited to see what's the next one! read more
