Friendly and efficient service. Delicious food and good portion sizes. Came here during happy hour and that was a pretty good deal. Ordered a bunch of appetizers to share and all of the dishes were tasty except for the cauliflower wings, that's was very soggy. The Brussels sprouts were a bit too sweet. The shrimp tacos were really good and so were the lettuce wrap. The lamb chorizo potatoes were not the the happy hour menu but absolutely amazing! Service was nice and attentive. Interior of the restaurant is modern and clean. Parking was pretty easy on a Sunday. Definitely recommend for happy hour. read more

We came to Beaumont's on a Saturday for dinner and to hear a local band that was playing that night. My husband and I love live music and we appreciate it when restaurants/bars have bands. The hostess put us at a prime table to see and hear the band and drinks were brought to us fairly quickly. They have a decent drink menu. Prices are fair. 2 of us ordered the burger and we both thought it was delicious! My husband ordered a steak and he really enjoyed it. His only complaint was that it didn't come with any kind of potatoes. So he had to order some French fries separately. By the time he asked for them it was getting pretty busy so they took quite some time to get them to him. The service was good except for the fact that we paid our dinner bill but stayed for the band and the waitress never came back to check on us to see if we wanted anything else. We finally had to flag down a waiter to get more drinks. The band was AWESOME and the crowd was on the floor dancing. It was a lot of fun!! Fantastic venue for some tasty food and drinks! And as a bonus, the patio is dog-friendly :) I tried the Beaumont Sliders, Guaca-mame and Shrimp Tacos. The sliders were extremely delicious. The patty was very flavorful and juicy which paired perfectly with the sauteed onions and cheese. I finished the sliders with the urge to get another order but taking down the shrimp tacos and gauca-mame quickly brought me back to reality. That wasn't happening. The shrimp tacos were enjoyable and the gauca-mame was so fresh and unique I'll have to come back just to try it again. It is a combination of gucamole and mashed edamame and who knew those two were a match made in heaven. They have a great selection of spirits at the full bar inside. The staff was attentive and friendly and also loved coming by to greet and pet my dog. As if the burger and gaucameme wasn't enough of a reason to come back for another enjoyable evening here, I love it when the staff shows my dog some love too! read more

We all went out to listen to some local talent and grab a small bite to eat before it started. Right from the start we could see the place was super busy, but our hostess/server/food runner Hope took care of us plus what seemed to be the entire restaurant. What a shining example of what great customer service looks like with a sting work ethic, while making it look easy. Will definitely be bring more of my friends back. Greatly disappointed. We went there to see the band called Zeelund which never disappoints me wherever they go. The food and the service was another matter. The hostesses were nice and we were seated immediately on the patio as per my reservation. Our waiter, Jeff, was great, fast and attentive. I ordered the "Char Burger" which was unremarkable. I asked for Thousand Island dressing, i was told "we dont have any". That seems odd. After we ate our food we wanted to go inside since the people at the table behind us were laughing so loud we couldn't hear the music. Jeff kindly moved us inside and we cashed out as per his request because supposedly another waiter or waitress was supposed to handle the inside area. No waiter or waitress ever came over. After about a half hour we flagged down a waitress who said she was not our waitress, but said she "would get one for us". That never happened. 20 minutes later we flagged her down again and she said to my nephew "well we're supper busy, it's best if you just wait at the bar if you want more drinks". Unbelievable!! Then a girl (customer) comes over to our table and tells my nephew "I saw you taking pictures. I don't want to be in any of your pictures. Delete them right now". He complied with that and deleted the pics right in front of her. We thought that was the end of it. Then 10 minutes later the security guard and a guy who I assume was the manager comes over and says "you were taking unauthorized pictures. You have to leave right now". No warning, just told to leave. Basically thrown out for taking pictures. So, not wanting to create a scene we left, but frankly with no wait service I was ready to leave anyway. I guess next time we should leave the camera phone at home and bring our own drinks? Sad. read more

Great happy hour food and drinks (and prices!!), cute outdoor seating, and friendly staff! We got the margarita, Moscow mule, and chips and guacamole, all off the happy hour menu. The triple layer guac was unique with the bottom layer being edamame hummus, the second layer was the guac, topped with pico and feta, we enjoyed it! We had breakfast here and actually - it just didn't work. The coffee was strong, but too bitter for my taste. I had the carne asada eggs Benedict which for someone like me who doesn't dig on swine, sounded promising, but the carne asada was just too dried up, reminded me of this pizza we once received in Big Bear, CA, where the parlor owner claimed that "We make-a the best" but delivered this huge cheese pizza with massive dried out beef shavings on it, the operative words with reference to both this egg dish and that pizza being, excessive quantities of dried out meat. She had the Coast Toast french toast, which she wouldn't even finish because she said it was too gooey in the middle, and I confirmed the same. Not sure if I could say that it was uncooked, but it was definitely either undercooked or just the way this dish is, which was not suited to our tastes. Service was very good, but we didn't even impose on the waitress much, which actually I could have returned everything she brought to the table but didn't bother just ate it up like the kids who don't know better and eat whatever is put in front of their faces at boarding school. Beaumont's motto is "Eat, Drink, Vibe" - based at least on what we ordered, I'd definitely scratch the first off the list, but from what my friends tell me, it is a good hangout bar. read more

Hello? The food and drinks are great. I had the happy hour menu and was thrilled with my meal. Everything came from the kitchen quickly. The service is slow! Everything started okay. When our drink order was up, we ordered a cocktail and water. The cocktail came out in record time. After that, it took a good 5+ minutes until our water came and we were able to order our meal. Now, this wasn't an issue, things happen and sometimes service slides. But after we had finished our meal, cocktails, and water. All we could do was to watch Manny chatting it up with a couple of girls at the bar, never coming by to ask if we wanted anything else or even the check. The restaurant wasn't really busy and I really didn't appreciate the quality of service provided. If I come back, I hope that whoever is our server is, that they don't forget to do their job while hitting on other customers. read more

We had a large group event here and Kristoffer was wonderful and accommodating and helpful as we planned things. He communicated well throughout. I can't say enough good things about the staff! They were all extremely friendly and made all of our guests feel at home. They were attentive and professional. Everyone said the waitstaff was awesome. Great food was fabulous. Compliments to the chef--he did a great job with an event with lots of moving parts. We had the keep it vegan with the veggie patty, keep it clean chicken, sweet heat brussels, greek chop salad, guacamame & chips, char burger and fries, and crispy salmon and fingerlings. Went to Beaumonts on Sunday afternoon for lunch with my husband. I wanted to give them 2 stars but our server was extremely nice and conversant. The lunch started out with a glass of warm water- no ice. The food was average. My husband had the fish tacos. I assume cod, and it was heavily fried, served with refried beans; however, he enjoyed it. My Seoul Veggie Burger looked completely dried out, was on a huge bun - a mess to eat . It came with a quarter size amount of cut up kimchi that did not stay on the pattie. The taste wasn't bad if you put enough ketchup on it and tried to remove some of the bread. It was extremely unenjoyable to eat and ended up all over my plate. An absolute mess with a lot of left over bread. My husband's Marguerita was the worse we've ever tasted- completely watered down. We wondered if they had forgotten the tequila. The Jamaican drink I had , was very sweet - not bad. The restaurant looked rather dirty, beat down with trash on the floor, the table tops have seen better days. I truly wonder about the cleanliness of the food preparation. The prices were on the high side for what you get! I live in the area and will leave this restaurant to the tourist!!! read more

It started out waiting and that seemed to be the theme. After being sat we waited for a considerable amount of time and we're given water by some staff. Then we got drinks and placed an order. Then it sadly went down hill, drinks were gone before the food got there and then we didn't want another drink because the server didn't check up on us. We watched her (Amy) walk passed us several times before the food got there. Then we asked for the check. The food was good just needed to be seasoned more. We went to Beaumont's on Mother's Day. We had a lovely table outside and were greeted by our server Rosella. She was a delight and the restaurant is so so lucky to have her. She made every dish sound like an extraordinary work of art. We started with the crab cake. Not only beautiful but the flavors were combined perfectly. The drinks were beautiful and tasty as well. I liked the vibe of this place, and the service was great. The restaurant is very open, and gets a great breeze through there (which was a bonus, as it was hot and humid the day we went). It wasn't very crowded, as it was just before lunch on a Thursday, so we got some great service from start to finish. The food, however, was just decent. To start, we got an order of the chips and "guaca mame", as well as the poke "mame" to share. The guac was okay, but the edamame part of it was a bit grainy, which threw the texture off a bit. The poke wasn't my favorite. The fish pieces were a bit too large - to fit on the chip, to share with a table - to be enjoyable, and it was also served on top of a bed of the edamame puree. The chips were tasty, though. I went with the mahi tacos, and my friend got the cauliflower tacos. We split the tacos between us, so we each had a fish and cauliflower taco per person. They were okay, a bit uninspiring. The two sauces they provided with the tacos were the most flavorful piece of the plate, which should say something about the flavor of the rest of the meals. The other two people in my group seemed to enjoy their meals, but one was a bowl of soup and the other was a BLT. You can't really screw those things up, right? It was a great spot for socializing and hanging out, and maybe for adult libations. But I don't think I'd go back for a meal anytime soon. read more

The food is decent - good burger, I go here for the atmosphere. Parking is usually pretty easy to find on the main road. Beaumonts is my favorite restaurant in Bird Rock for many reasons (I'm literally there at least once a week if not more). The service is great (shoutout Kris), they have the best happy hour in all of La Jolla, their food is insane and the vibes are immaculate. You can enjoy the bar area inside but my preference is the outdoor patios! There's a reason locals are constantly there! They really embrace their community. I will say I was encouraged by the good reviews on Yelp. We made a reservation and were seated promptly. Our server was great, very friendly and helpful. A few issues - Our food didn't come out at the same time which meant we waited and ate cold food. The food was just ok. They had hash browns and they looked like the pre packaged hash brown patties you buy at Trader Joes. We did request it, as it said home made on the menu. Maybe clarifying it would have been a good idea. I asked for decaf coffee, as it was brunch time. They didn't have that so had to pay for 2 decaf americanos. Also the menu the day of and the online menu weren't the same. Our waiter was able to get us pancakes (which is why I selected the spot). A little disappointing considering the price tag.
