I love this salon! I just went for my first visit for highlights a few months ago and worked with Melina. She was so sweet and welcoming as soon as I walked out. I had a picture of what I was trying to recreate and she brought it to life! The interior of this salon is also just adorable - you can tell the girls put a lot of time into decorating it. Addendum: I've now gone back here for a second visit for a touch up and trim with Melina again. Melinas very talented, and instead of just going with what we had done before recommended a new coloring treatment that I love even more than my first visit. Very rarely do I give poor reviews. But I had such a poor, upsetting experience and do not want this to happen to anyone else getting their hair done for a special event. I came as a new client for an up-do and was paired with Shannon (very kind and friendly). I was prepared with an inspiration photo and clearly stated I was looking for a more romantic loose style up-do. Shannon had to redo my hair twice because it was NOT anywhere near what I wanted. Honestly, the first style looked so horrible I almost cried. After she pinned it a second time, I was still unhappy but settled. I just truly felt like my photo was quickly looked at and I was given the standard up-do. After my hair, I went upstairs to have my makeup done. While sitting for my makeup, pins were sticking out of my hair. Shannon had left so I had to have another hairdresser pin me to prevent my up-do from coming undone. I'm posting my inspiration photo and the end result. I fully understand that I wasn't going to have the exact result as my inspiration photo but I find both hair styles vastly different. Absolutely the BEST, place for color treatment and everything in between. The stylist were all so friendly and really treats you like family. They don't try to sell you thinks, and they won't secretly add in services that you don't want. My Balayage took about 2.5 hours, and it's about $150. The price is very high but for the effort and time they put into you, it actually very cheap. Other places charge you extra for blow dry, wash, and style. Here, it's all built into the price. When you talk to them, it's very easy to tell that they KNOW what they're doing. A lot of people don't know how much schooling goes into this. I assure you that if you want to get your hair done, they will do what is best for you and will also give you tips on what works! read more

I had an appointment with Jaimie this morning, my first time here and first time in years treating myself to a "real" haircut. I love the salon - so cute and welcoming. I came in to have my demarcation line fixed -- I figured it would be a quick bleach bath ect. I went to MJ. My hair came out fried and it seemed as if I was being rushed out of the salon. Additionally, my hair was slightly a darker shade of blonde. She told me I should wear a hat for the next two weeks -- not something you should tell a client after doing their hair. I did not realize how awful this treatment was until I was speaking to another hair salon stylist at another salon told me that I have done something about it. Went a few times. The first experience was great, good atmosphere, and became confident in my stylist. Second time I came in tried to go to silver and was rushed through the process as she was working on someone else's hair at the same time. Fast forward a few hours, it was done and I loved the look. A week later, the toner came out and it was obvious that my hair was rushed and that it was done incorrectly. I Was told that my hair coming out uneven and streaky was my fault, and when the toner came out in less than a week, was told that I would not be refunded , and that they would not fix my hair for free. Went to another stylist and had them tell me that the process was done incorrectly, and that there was no way that it could have been my hair not taking the toner correctly, as it was inconsistent in multiple places. Payed hundreds just to have hair that looked terrible, and later had to die it to a straight dark brown to even out colors to try and go back to my natural color. read more
