We actually used Bee Busters in a slightly different bee capacity. David came out to speak to our Girl Scout troop all about honey bees. He brought lots of fun visuals along, including a bee box showing all the different levels the bees use, giant magnified photos, and the biggest hit - bee glasses (the girls wore them to see what it was like viewing things as a bee). He was so kind and patient with all kind of Kindergartener and 1st grader questions. And still, many months later, I'm still hearing about the honey sticks he brought for them. After calling a company referred by a neighbor and not get any response for over a week, I looked up "bee removal" and am so glad that I got Bee Busters number. Not only did Amanda answer the phone after the second ring, she was kind, helpful and prompt. Jeremy showed up when I was told he would, he was professional and friendly. We called Bee Busters out to our company for a swarm of bees where customers are common to occupy. We have used Bee Busters in the past because it was convenient but with what happened in this visit I will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!! They came out the next day completely unprepared. I had told them the bees were on a light pole and that they would most likely need a ladder, no ladder was to be found. The "Tech" that came out was at the place for at the MOST 5 mins then said he had an emergency and left! He had charged us $150.00 for the 5 mins he was here and didn't even take care of the problem. When I called Bee Busters they said that he did indeed have an emergency and that the bees will be gone in about 5 days. 5 days!! that is unacceptable, I had customers around and they didn't even seem to care. I called another company the next morning and they had come out within the hour completely prepared, vacuum, smoke, ladder, pump...everything you would expect to see to take care of a bee swarm. They were gone that same day! When I called about the bill and told them that I didn't feel it was fair to pay the entire amount because they didn't do anything and offered to pay half, the guy on the phone started shouting and threatening me that if I don't pay the bill he will lien sale our property!! All for 150.00. He wouldn't let me get 2 words in edge wise he was completely unprofessional and very VERY rude! I am not paying them for work they didn't do. Called Bee Busters at 7:00 am exactly and they answered the phone, that was my first clue that these guys were good. I had a bee swarm in my garage and on my patio and didn't know what to do. I didn't want to put my dog outside so I had to stay home from work to get this handled. Over the phone, David talked me through what to do and how to get them out of my garage. He said he would be out to see me between 10-12. The receptionist called me and said he was on his way(which was nice). David got here at 10:25. So nice that it was actually in the window time and I didn't wait around all day. Anyway, he was so knowledgeable and nice. I called and spoke with Amanda and explained my concern about the number of bees that had appeared suddenly and were fixated on empty boxes that I am storing for an upcoming move. She was very understanding, explained the pricing to me and gave me a 2-hour window, 2-4pm. They showed up around 3pm, and quickly pinpointed the box that the bees were starting to colonize in. I highly recommend Bee Busters for any bee issues. It is clear that their entire staff is very educated in bees...wouldn't you hope so? It's all they handle! I reached out to Bee Busters when I heard buzzing in my wall and saw several bees around my roofline. The receptionist told me my options: $150 to eliminate bees and $350 to remove traces of the bee activity. She told me this, up front, without even seeing the situation, because that's their prices. If any work requires cutting of walls/etc., then they will set you up with a contractor for repairs (at a separate cost for that work, of course). She also asked me some questions to try to determine if removal would be necessary or not. She said someone could be out later in the day to assess. Because I have three small kids at home and two dogs (one who is deathly allergic to bee stings), I was uneasy having to wait a few hours to have this checked out, so I contacted some other companies in the meantime. One was a general pest control company that came out right away. I was told by that person that I had a hive in my attic and some old honeycomb traces from a previous bee infestation (revealed to me after he asked how long I've lived here...only 1.5 years). He was ready to charge me $1195 for services which sounded almost exactly like what Bee Busters said they'd do for $350. So I called Bee Busters back to confirm this, and yes, they would do it for $350. So I kept the appointment with Bee Busters. Jeremy showed up within the two-hour window they gave me. He observed the bees from the outside. He checked my walls and ceilings with a heat gun. He went in my attic. He basically did everything the other guy did, EXCEPT, he was unable to locate a hive in my attic. Hm. Wouldn't a hive in an attic be blatantly obvious? He said he believed they were only scout bees. He went back outside to carefully observe their activity and confirmed that suspicion. Just based on his observations of the bees appearances and behaviors, he was confident there was no hive in my house. So, I agreed to have him treat the situation on the spot, which is how they operate. They do not schedule you a day or two later (the other company said I'd have to wait until the morning for treatment). Bee Busters comes prepared to handle your bee situation on the spot. After treating for the bees, he sealed up the hole they were entering through, and stood outside with me and showed me what he did, and educated me on bees. He told me what to look for and what to expect in the days to come and what sort of activity was a red flag and when I should call them back immediately. As Jeremy predicted, all bee activity was gone within three days. No bees flying by my roof, no buzzing in the walls. I could have easily been duped into paying extra because I was already sold on this idea that there was a hive in my attic, but Bee Busters are honest and more importantly, educated, when it comes to bees. Wonderful, helpful, knowledgeable and willing to educate customers. A very positive experience for me following the not-so-positive experience of thinking I had a beehive in my attic. read more

I returned from vacation and found out I had Bees. I called Bee Busters on the 4th of July at 9pm and I actually got a live voice. We discussed my problem and I also asked if they could come as early as possible the next morning. I also asked them to make sure they sent someone knowledgeable. Shane from Bee Busters showed up at 7:15 a.m the next morning. He was very professonal, knowledgeable and friendly. It turned out the bees had been there for awhile and Shane had to cut into my fence. He was 100 percent correct about the location of the bees and what he would find. The work was complete by 8:30 and I was off to enjoy my holiday weekend. Because Shane was so knowledgeable and patient I felt comfortable with getting the work done. We recently had a huge swarm of bees circling our chimney and many of them going in through the flashing... we could even hear the buzzing from the chimney place in the bedroom on the first floor. The next day there were only a few of them circling around but we wanted a professional to review the situation and David came right out. He determined that they must have been "scouting only", and then moved on at this time. Rather than try to up-sell us into some sort of expensive treatment plan, he simply charged a nominal inspection fee and said he would come back out if they returned. Not normally one to bother with reviews but this one was definitely merited, to say the least. I live in Newport Beach and recently had a large wasp nest removed from between a neighbors house and my own, with a large number of them managing to work their way inside from a very small gap in the wood after recent earthquakes. There had become almost 100 of them by the time the first bee company came to remove the nest that was just on the other side of our skylight (nest was outside and the crack led them to the inside of our house) which thankfully they stayed up there for all this. I pointed out to the person removing the nest how they managed to come through a crack into our house and were seemingly making a new home in the crack that needed to be dealt with (mind you this was only a mere 2ft from the nest they removed) and despite explaining to them the impossibility of them getting inside in such numbers and all in the same place, they assured me they just flew in and got stuck and will die off and thats that. Yeah, no. Round two with a new company was this afternoon and I couldnt imagine a kinder and more pleasant person to deal with than Chris, and my dogs would agree. Very very polite and professional in every way with no hesitation to answer some other questions about a different nest i had seen after he patched up the crack and removed any wasps that poured out of the almost invisible gap in the wood. If anyone from Bee Busters happens to read through this, just know that you have a very valuable asset to your company with Chris and gained a customer and recommendation for all from myself. Cant say enough good things and if it couldnt get any better, he even gave me some of the companys own honey from their bee farms as he was heading off. Honestly I would give them more than 5 stars. Our fireplace/chimney was infested with bees and so we called them up. Jeremy and Justin did a quick job and they were really nice.
