wow...this place is a sleeper. The pizza here is incredible. Beebe's is located in the new Boro Hotel in Long Island City in a very nondescript neighborhood. The design is mid-century and resembles that of the Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. From the outside, you just couldn't tell but the pizza here is on par if not better than Emmy Squared. We had the Margherita and the Stracciatella and both were worth writing home about. For 11pm, the place was fairly packed for a Friday evening and I have a feeling it's going to be much harder to get a reservation soon. Go before everyone finds out about Beebe's! read more

After watching several episodes of Carnival Row, we decided it was time to fill up our belly with food to finish binge watching the rest of the season. After scrolling through several options, we bumped into Beebe's located 15 minutes from our location. Parking was pretty easy to find. Upon arrival we had no clue what we were walking into until the hostess walked us to our table where seating was outdoors (PS -- there's a rooftop however it doesn't open until 5:00 PM). Ambiance and staff were wonderful. My friend immediately asked for the bottomless mimosa ($19 is a pretty good steal -- she had five before calling it quits). We kept it simple and ordered tap water. I ordered the Fridas Dawghter cocktail (very unpleased with it as it was blah). We both ordered pizza. My friend ordered the Vodka and I ordered the Jimmy Forager (minus the sausage). We both fell in love with our choice of pizza. The crust was perfectly cooked, toppings and sauce was on point. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They refilled the mimosa with no hesitation. Above all this was a very pleasant visit and food was really good. I recommend this restaurant for anyone interested in bringing a date or catch up with friends. Honestly think about Beebe's every other day! This place is so underrated. Their original location which is inside the Boro Hotel gives a cute hole in the wall feel. Their pizzas are fantastic -- I've tried almost every single one at this point and it's so hard to pick a favorite. Their pastas are also pretty good, and if you love a good snack/side, their Brussels sprouts are a MUST. Calamari and shishito peppers too :) they're also most recently in Jacx & Co which is a food hall that's opened in Queens Plaza, but the menu is smaller than their brick and mortar. If you're ever in the area or are staying at the Boro hotel, def go for dinner and then have brunch the next morning! Their brunch menu is pretty standard American, but super yummy! This place is great! Pizzas are fantastic and very different. We had 3 types of pizzas; the straccitella, the Jimmy Frangeno and the Rooftop. All were great, but the Rooftop had a bit too much arugula for me. The straccitella was a change from the norm because the mozzarella is stretched and mixed with cream, but not cooked and plopped on top at the end. I came here with a coworker and we split the Forager pizza (mushroom medley, sausage, red onions, mozzarella, and hot oil) and the baby greens salad, and it was a reasonable meal for two, at roughly $32. We took two slices of pizza home, but we were looking to save room for our later meals that day, otherwise we could have easily finished the whole pizza. I really enjoyed the combination of ingredients, and the spicy oil was just spicy enough to still let you appreciate the pizza. There is an outdoor area that will be great to sit in this summer. Drinks were strong and good! The service was awesome!!! Located within the Boro Hotel, this restaurant is spacious and modern, where guests have easy view of the wood fire oven and kitchen. There's plenty of room for a large group inside, and I'm sure the courtyard is lovely in summer. First, the calamari appetizer was the best I've had. It was crispy and flaky and the calimari tender. The funghi and formaggi pizza my husband ordered had a thin, light and crisp crust and the pizza was perfectly seasoned. I had the chimichurri skirt steak and fries since I do not eat dairy. The steak was cooked perfectly as were the thin fries. However, the dominant flavor of the chimichurri was rosemary, not the traditional parsley and garlic. Came here New Years Day for brunch with 3 girlfriends. It was perfectly situated midway between LIC and Astoria where we all live so we could all enjoy the unseasonably warm weather to walk over to Beebe's. This has been on my hit list for a while, especially as a pizza connoisseur, and Beebe's completely delivered. Their pizza is delicious, although it did take long to come out. Cocktails were fantastic, very creative menu and great presentation. The overall ambiance is also very nice, I'm looking forward to going back in the summer to sit in their back patio. We went here for our first Thanksgiving in a restaurant. We decided not to cook and wanted to find a place that was a happy atmosphere with great food. Beebe's was offering a $40 Thanksgiving meal - we got turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes, and pie. And we LOVED it. Everything was made wonderfully and you could tell everything was home cooked. The atmosphere was bright and warm and it wasn't too crowded. We also got a pizza because it was a wood burning stove and we couldn't resist. That was also great. Overall: A hip pizza spot in LIC that makes great brick oven pizza Food ordered: I was with a group of 4 and we split two pizzas: Roni and Hot Italian. The Hot Italian was better and I found the flavors to be good. I will say the crust wasn't as crispy as I'd like but I still enjoyed my slices. Service: at the time we ate, the restaurant was pretty empty and we still had a hard time flagging down staff for us to pay our bill. While not majorly inconvenienced, it was noticeable. Once again I order food from here to go, show up at the time they tell me to, and wait 20+ min for my food. So, even though I live 2 blocks away, half my food is cold and the other half is still warm by the time I get back. On top of that, they stopped giving out the 10% discount if you ordered directly from them and not through Seamless/Grubhub. I'm fine if they do that but it's annoying to call, have them confirm the discount, and then say different in the store. Lastly, if I ask for the toppings on the side, that means please don't put the toppings on the burger as well. They gave me a burger with toppings as well as another order of toppings on the side. Each time I've ordered a burger with toppings on the side they have messed it up - last time they left the sauce and pickles on but no onions. Their prices are too hard to justify for the poor service when we have multiple higher-end pizza places in the neighborhood. read more

The pizza was great. Can't say enough good things about it and would love to have it again. However, I had to give Beebe's a 3 because of the service. People tend to forget get that working in the hospitality business requires some level of being hospitable. We were meeting friends for dinner. Unfortunately, they got stuck in traffic and were a little late. We felt rushed as the waitress kept asking us if we wanted to order something. Now, that can be a great thing if it's with a smile and some warmth. Not so much when it's cold and matter of fact. We are vegetarians and asked the waitress if one of their signature pizzas could be made without the sausage. We got a whole speech about how they don't do that because it's a signature dish and there are other vegetarian options. Reluctantly and with an attitude, she agreed to make the pizza without sausage. Other times she would come over and ask if the food was Ok and we got more water refills during dinner than I have in my life. We enjoyed the food but not the service. We ordered room service. My boyfriend said this was one of the best room service restaurants. FIRST OF ALL the $8 Nutella bread pudding was h u g e and it was probably the best bread pudding I've ever had. I wanted to keep eating it after I was full. The rest of the food we ordered was cold, so I can't give it an accurate review. The flavors were good and the portions were good for the price. Unlike other room service orders the markup is very small, you pay only $3 to get the food delivered to your room. We got $16 pizza, 2 bread puddings, and rigatoni. We also ginger ale that they forgot, but they compensated us by giving us 1 more than we ordered. The total which was more than enough food for 2 people came to $75 with a 20% tip. It was a mandatory 18% tip because we ordered room service. read more

We were at Beebe's for an early Sunday dinner and ordered the roasted carrots, kale caesar, orecchiette, and 3 pizzas (campfire, hot Italian, and pineapple special). I personally love Neapolitan pizza with a nice chewy crust and some char. Beebe's has a great look and our carrots, salad, and pasta were excellent. What should have been the main star, however, was disappointing. The crust was mostly just crispy--almost like a cracker--and where it wasn't crispy, it was really tough to bite through. For dessert, we had the nutella bread pudding and the orange olive oil cake. The cake didn't taste much like orange and was kind of dry, but it was okay with the side of vanilla ice cream. The bread pudding was Applebee's-sized and way too sweet for us. We'll come back maybe in the summer when their dough game is (hopefully) stronger. read more
