Very happy about this place. I've previously taken two of my cars there for repair. Excellent result. Recently, I needed to take my new care there for repair and my insurance informed me that they were not n their preferred referrals. I was worried, but Bel- red happily worked with their rates and I was able to get my care fixed. The tech detailed my car so nice, that my son keeps saying how nice my car looked. And in fact, each time I leave from work to get into my car, I am taken by how nice and new my car looked; never seen it so pretty. This is a great place, with great customer service. Initially, I was very impressed by the work done here, but then when the sun decided to come out, it was clear that my car wasn't done very well at all. Thankfully, after taking my car back, they agreed to redo the body and paint work, which looks pretty good now, but then there was another issue... When I got my car back, I wasn't able to unlock/lock the doors, the steering wheel tilt wouldn't work, and all a good portion of the electronics seemed to just be dead. After taking the car back (again), they were unable to find the source of the problem. Finally, I took my car to the dealership to have them look over the car. $170 later, the problem was fixed, leaving me with the bill. Not once did they offer to cover the cost of this, even after several communications with the shop. At this point, I figured I had learned my lesson and now know not to return for business in the future. During all of this, I've had two different friends come to me, asking for suggestions on where to take their damaged cars. As much as I'd have liked to refer them to this shop, I shared my experiences, resulting in them going elsewhere. Perhaps this place does great work if your car is a Ferrari, but my experiences with an average car was less than stellar. read more

I hit a damn light post with my Toyota LC and crushed my whole front hood and broke the glass. This happened when I was visiting my brother in Seattle driving his car and some people ran over across the street and they were from Bell Red. This literally happened 20 minutes ago but they took me into the office and got me some coffee and even an Uber to go back. Sad story: Brown Bear car wash damaged my drivers side mirror. They were happy to pay for the repair, as long as I brought them two estimates. Went to RnR and they quoted $2,400. Went next door, to Bel-Red, and was quoted $1,400 'to replace my entire mirror assemble'. I pointed out the price disparity and was told RnR was likely padding the estimate. 'Are you sure?' I was told that he called BMW and confirmed everything was in the estimate. Great! I submit to Brown Bear and they cut me a check, which is fantastic. I call Bel-Red to pay for the parts to be ordered and the guy I worked with is no longer employed there. I am informed the estimate is incomplete and I need to come up with $700 more than Brown Bear compensated me! They said they would 'see what they could do and get back to me'. Two days later - crickets. What do you think? Should Bel-Red honor the quote, or just leave me hanging? read more

Beware of these people! They are thieves ! If I could I would give them a zero and hand signs around so that people do not go to them. They over billed my insurance company from 4,000 original estimate from them to 13,000 k and they still billed me for additional labor rates last minute after telling me the balance that I owed on the car the day before. They took over about 8 weeks to fix my car, that's because they made sure to keep on billing my insurance . They said my car was damaged after dissemble ! I don't know why I waited so long to write this review. I think it's because I didn't realize how grateful I was for the help until now- (I just got a new car) I was rear ended in a 3 car accident on I-5 late in the evening a couple months ago. My mom was able to get in touch with the owner Rich who sent a tow company to pick up my car and wait with me until my mother was able to get me. The staff at Bel-Red (Linda, Rich, Stephanie...) have been so helpful. They set up a rental car, got in touch with the insurance adjusters and helped my family work out fair compensation from Safeco. Rich and Linda even waived storage fees that Safeco was trying to stick me with!!! My Prius was totaled but thanks to Bel Red - I was able to get another car a year newer because the insurance company wasn't able to take advantage of me. read more

We purchased a new Lexus UX250H F Sport 4 days before driving to CA to visit our kids. on the 5th day, while stopped at a traffic light, we were rear ended!!! OUCH!!! We nursed the car 1200 miles back to WA but, on the way through Tacoma on the hottest day in years (115 degrees), a rock hit the windshield and put a big gash in it which began to expand out in front of our eyes!!! ARGHH!!!! Fortunately , we decided to take our rapidly depreciating car to Bel-Red Auto Rebuild after being referred by our car mechanic! WHAT A WONDERFUL Experience. We met Emilio, our estimator, who examined the car and wrote up the order. While we were talking with him, Maggie (in the office) contacted Enterprise Car rentals and, within 10 minutes, a gentleman showed up to give us a ride to the office. Emilio worked with Jeremy from Geico (our insurance) to make sure that everything would go smoothly. Emilio stayed in touch with me by email to keep me appraised of the progress. Although it took a month to complete the work (mainly because of parts being backordered due to the pandemic), the car looked MAGNIFICENT! In fact, maybe better than when we purchased it!! Extremely unpleasant experience. First I worked with Sal, an employee there who doesn't respond very often and implies false dates. My car came in at April, and didn't come out done from Bel-Red until September. Somewhere along those months the car had to be transported between Bel-Red and Mercedes Benz of Lynnwood twice or so. Not sure why they didn't arrange it with Mercedes Benz of Bellevue instead. Every time I asked "where is my car?", they wouldn't reply and by the time they reply it'd say "The car is being picked up to the dealership. They're ordering parts." When the car finally got inspected at Mercedes Lynnwood at the final stage, Mercedes told me Bel-Red missed one very important part. The front bumper sensor, for "Collision Prevention Assist" making the car un-drivable. Oh, I also forgot to mention that on the 3rd month I explicitly instructed Bel-Red to keep all and every old part for me. As time goes Sal is said to have resigned so Rich, the owner is the one who contacts me for communication through email. When I asked him "when can I pick up my parts?", guess what his answer was: "Let's see if I can get some. We don't store old parts" or do you? You sold them maybe? As far as I can remember on the initial estimate you guys only quoted the half of my price, and as months pass you guys kept quoting me further estimates, totaling to an amount of my car. Why not report it all at once during the initial inspection and have it as total loss? You guys made me wait 6 months, while I waited for you guys to swap out unnecessary old parts for what? Yay! Insurance money for labor fee and selling old parts! Bravo. Twas a profitable year for Bel-Red. The quality assessment in the end, besides the missing part, is very good. Looks much like my car before the accident again. However, I should note they forgot to fix the air conditioning system which might have been damaged on the accident. read more

Recently I took in my 2011 Ford Expedition to hopefully get a quote on my vehicles damages. The gentleman I was hoping to speak to goes by the name of Aaron , but the secretary was no help in assisting me as well as other gentlemen within the establishment with the repeated question "well what do you need?". My personal mechanic told me to speak to Aaron first so he may look at my car but I never got the chance to meet him. A man who God was looking out for because I cannot remember his name , proceeds to look at my vehicle telling me with attitude "for cases like this you should make an appointment" and I did call to try to schedule an appointment, but the lady on the phone told me to come in anytime between 11am-5pm. To top things off after he looks at the vehicle with me he makes the most unacceptable comment telling me "you can't even afford to fix it anyways, just buy a new car". If you guys want respectful service and someone who genuinely cares about helping you with body work and even giving quotes, this is NOT the place to go. Management please teach your employees to come correct and speak to people the way they'd want to be spoken to... it's stuff you teach your kids. read more

Let me preface this with the fact that I appreciate the owners mother (Linda) for trying to make things right with me and my car. She is an absolute PEACH and I cannot thank her enough. This happened to be my 4th time working with Bel-Red...and my last time. Finally the day came when they told me that my car was done, except for the exhaust which was still being shipped. Which I just didn't understand because I dropped an exhaust to install on my car temporarily in order to minimize my out of pocket expenditure on a rental. They said they couldn't install the exhaust because it was 'bent', which enraged me because I dropped it off a month ago. All in, my car had been there for over 2 months. So, I told them to bring my car around front and center and I wanted to have a look at their otherwise finished product. The air bag in my seat wasn't fixed, the trunk was in shambles, my factory spoiler wasn't re-installed, the car was dirty (not buffed/polished like they said it would be) and the interior was caked with dust. At that point in time, I told them to 'load up my shit' and that I was not leaving there without my car, regardless of it's condition. They called the owners mom who had to whip them all into shape and she waived my deductible and I picked my car up at the end of the day. Problems: 1. They charged my insurance company twice for the install of my exhaust system (both temporary and the one that I had to have custom ordered). I ended up paying for the install of my actual exhaust out of pocket. 2. They lied to me repeatedly about the status of my car. 3. The rear bumper/trunk are not aligned correctly on the passenger side. 4. After my car was painted, it sat in a holding lot for 2+ weeks in freezing temperatures (which is GREAT for curing paint I here....) 5. Since they deep cycled my battery moving it around/jump starting it presumably for a month+, I ended up having to have it replaced for $450 6. My temporary (OEM) exhaust wasn't bent. They just didn't remove my other exhaust completely and were trying to install it on the connecting pipes for an aftermarket exhaust. 7. While they were lying to me repeatedly, I was paying for a rental to the tune of like $350-$400 a week. Conclusion: In spite of my extensive out of pocket costs incurred due to them lying to me, mistreating my car and delaying delivery of my car, I am not inclined to give them an opportunity to make it right as $1,000(ish) dollars isn't worth dealing with them for another second, regardless of how nice Linda was. I'd take them to small claims, but my time, energy and sanity are better served if I just eat the costs and trade my car in. Tips for dealing with Bel-Red Auto Rebuild: 1. Communicate via email, no voice 2. Have their work independently inspected before accepting it back 3. Demand to speak with Linda if you feel like you're being mislead. 4. Don't work with BJ. With a name like BJ, you'd think he's a heck of a guy. I mean, who doesn't like BJ's? But in reality, you're in for a good ol' fashion skull fucking with this guy. 5. Just go find another shop. I have no experience with any other shop, but they can't possibly have a bar this low. read more

Few things are worse than being in a car accident. I called Bel-Red solely based on some good Yelp reviews and the fact that they are nearby. Emilio answered the phone and thankfully agreed to take a look at my car the day it happened, close to closing. When I arrived, I was relieved to find Emilio honest and helpful. Rich was also very kind and went above and beyond to provide good advice for my situation. They even let me borrow an old shop van for the night so that I could leave my crippled car at their lot. My insurance deemed the car a total loss (I guess that is happening a lot lately, even though damages weren't that bad) so I didn't end up doing any repairs. But I would 100% come back should I ever need to *knock on wood*. My friend went to ServiceKing on Bel-Red and they messed up her engine cooling system on a common car (Corolla)... so they are a definite "no." Support local businesses, especially when they provide good service. read more

Not very happy with the service. I continually had to call for updates on my vehicle. They often told me it would be ready next day, I literally heard that five days in a row. Each day I had to call to follow up. All in all my car was 1 week behind schedule. That week worth of rental car fee was not covered by them. Even though they said they would. I saw the charge on my account a month later inquired about it but haven't heard back after three phone calls. If you want to feel like a hustled chump, take your car here. My car was keyed by a stranger while I was on vacation. I was promised my car would cost about $2,000 to fix and take about five days. I heard over and over, "It'll be done tomorrow" or, "We broke a bunch of clips--oops...oh no, we lost the new clips...it'll be done next week...I think it will be more than we estimated...we can't get a hold of the insurance company". You get the idea. Repeat three times. For five days my car sat disassembled with no work progressing. Two and a half weeks later (I was taking the bus and begging rides from friends) my car was finally done. They hit up my insurance company for about $600+ more than the estimate. Hmmm. They said they'd make it all up to me by washing, detailing and waxing my car. Really? I preferred a cash discount for all the hassle and asked for it, but no dice. As for the wash, the roof was filthy, you could write in it. The detailing was just a vacuum, and well, the waxing was apparently not the whole car. How could they have waxed through a filthy roof? The body work looks nice, thus one star, or I would give them zero. Bel-Red I will not be back and I'll warn my friends to stay away, unless of course, they enjoy feeling like a chump. read more

I had multiple issues with this business. My estimator quoted 2 weeks for the repairs despite knowing that I'd received a previous estimate that quoted 3 weeks. Then, at the two week mark, they suddenly had problem after problem "completing" the repairs- took over 3 weeks and they NEVER proactively called me about the delay. I kept having to call back to see if I could pick up the car that day, only to be told that there was yet another delay with a part delivery or it was delivered but was damaged, or whatever excuse they had that day. They said they'd arrange a better deal on a rental car (which I was paying out of pocket since my insurance policy didn't include that coverage)- that didn't happen. They said they'd be sure to include my tire and rim in the estimate and have them repaired- 3 weeks later I get the car back only to realize they never fixed the tire or rim! I called back multiple times to schedule this repair- no return calls. Finally I get a hold of my estimator, he asked me to send him pictures so he could get the work order amended- I did. No call back for over 2 weeks! I call to tell him I'm bringing it the next day (Tues) and it needs to be fixed by Saturday. He says ok, but he'll need to get the claim re-opened because HE NEVER DID THAT WHEN I SENT THE PIX! I pick up the car Sat after hours- no receipt, no invoice showing what was done, just someone's empty coke can and trash in my car!!!! I can see the tire and rim were fixed, but were the tires aligned, balanced, rotated??? No clue- I call back, leave a message for the estimator asking politely if these items were done. No return call- ever! I finally call back and just ask whoever answered to look up my account. He acted like it was nearly impossible to tell me what had been done to the car, but he FINALLY found it (supposedly). Anyway, just terrible service, terrible employee follow-through. The repair is fine, but not worth the hassle. I should have gone to the shop near my home that gave a true estimate of the time required for the repair and was very friendly. This shop lives on insurance repairs, but act like you don't matter as a customer if you bring in a Ford and not a Ferrari. read more

I had a great experience here after crashing my car close by and being referred by my Insurance. Rich, the owner, personally looked at my car and made the estimate and repairs a priority because I was paying for my own rental car out of pocket. I called a lot to check the status and they always took my call right away and gave me a straight answer on the progress and estimated ready date. The car was done by the date they promised and was in perfect condition - including detailed on the inside which was a nice surprise. I was able to drop my rental car at the shop which was convenient. I would refer anyone to go in and talk with Rich. Once every 2 years I'm *this* impressed with a business. Telsa was 3 weeks before they could even look at my car let alone start working on it. BJ and his team had my car in, fixed, and out in 2 days. Unheard of in Tesla-time. BJ took the time to call shops and found the part I needed (instead of waiting 7-10 days for it to ship in). They offered to help coordinate with a rental car when I dropped my car off. The rental and the Enterprise guy were there waiting for me when I arrived (and he gave me a discounted rate). They estimated it would take two days to finish and they were done in one. Even buffed out another spot the car had and gave me a great price for the work. If I ever have an issue with my Tesla, there is literally no question this is where I would come back to every time. I couldn't recommend more highly. read more

I have done business with Bel-Red Auto Rebuild on two separate occasions over the past year, both times when my Audi was hit by other drivers. Plain and simple - I will no longer take my cars to any other shop to get collision repair or body work done. Here is what I have experienced with my two repairs: 1. Excellent customer service. Communication was clear and to the point. They set the expectation up front when giving the estimate and let you know immediately if they find something that wasn't in line with the estimate. 2. The work was extremely high quality both times. They have excellent attention to detail and use only OEM parts. I read a couple of reviews that complained about the price being a bit higher. Yes, the monetary cost is higher than Maaco or another big chain shop, but anyone who has had body/collision work done to a vehicle understands that you get what you pay for, and in the end it comes down to value. Is it worth a few hundred bucks to get the job done right the first time and be completely satisfied with the result? Not even a question in my book. They also guarantee their work with a lifetime warranty. If any of my friends/family ask for a recommended body/collision shop, Bel-Red will be the only shop I recommend. If you make the wise decision to take your vehicle their, ask for B.J. - he's the man! read more

We brought our Range Rover Sport Supercharged here for a fender bender upon the recommendation of Bellevue Jaguar Land Rover...and we are supremely happy with the work. My only complaint is that I wish communication had been a bit better. We had to wait about 4 weeks between parts for the car (which B.J. had warned us about) and insurance coming out to inspect extra work that needed to be done on the car. B.J. was/is a perfectionist when it came to the car and the parts that were needed. He wouldn't accept that Allstate wanted a reconditioned bumper for the Range Rover because it wouldn't match the original one that had been damaged in the accident. He went to bat for me against our insurance company - what more can someone want? This was, by far, the least stressful auto body rebuild I've ever come across. Office staff is friendly and working with B.J. was wonderful. I will definitely be back if anything else happens to our car...which we hope doesn't happen. We have an older Mercedes that we want body work done on and we are definitely going to be bringing it by here. read more

This place has always been my family's go to for repairs. Not after today. I picked up my car from being repaired and my rear view mirror was unattached, which I get accidents happen. The issue is that the repair guy came out and lied directly to my face, saying the only way to fix it was to get a new mirror. This was absolutely false, and when challenged he walked away and sent an adjuster to talk to me, who miraculously knew exactly how to fix it. read more

Over the past few years I've taken two different vehicles to Bel-Red. They do excellent work. The work did take a little longer than the original estimated timeframe, but they kept me well informed. In one case it was waiting for a particular part which took longer than normal to be delivered, and in another case it was because the part was not available separately from a larger assembly, and they decided to do repair the smaller part rather than have me pay for the larger assembly. Especially in the second case, the wait was worth it since it saved me a few hundred dollars. I have always tended to have a negative view of body shops but have been very pleased with the work Bel-Red has done. read more

I overall had a great experience at Bel Red Auto. First, the owner Rich, accommodated my un-drivable car on a Saturday when the shop was closed. He helped me navigate calling my insurance agency, scheduling a rental car, and even offered to drop me off at the rental car place. The schedule to fix my car, between 2-3 weeks was kept. Rich also met me on a Saturday to pick up my car- a great touch of customer service. He also waved the cost of payment for fixing and painting a scratch on my back bumper- unrelated to my accident. The only piece of frustration was dealing with the front desk representative on the phone. When I wouldn't hear updates about my car, I'd call in and she often seemed annoyed with me calling, even questioning me that they'd left a voicemail when I hadn't received any calls from the shop. She would promise to call the next day by a certain time, and they wouldn't. I just wanted to keep updated on the car's status in order to coordinate and extend my rental car. Overall, the kindness, affordability , and helpfulness of the owner would definitely make me refer my family and friends to Bel Red Auto. It's in a convenient Bellevue location, and Rich made very helpful touches to get me back in my car with full access to text his cell phone number whenever I had questions. Bel-Red Auto Rebuild is definitely the place I would refer my friends and family to. I trust them very much. I was referred here by Mercedes of Bellevue. They told me that they refer most of their clients here for any auto collision repairs. I needed to get my front bumper fixed at the time and was hesitant to bring my car into any shop since I've had bad experiences in the past. Bel-Red Auto Rebuild did such a great job fixing it! You couldn't even tell that the bumper was repaired. Two months after fixing my bumper, a ladder fell off of the commercial van on the freeway and damaged the lower part of my car. I took my car straight to them. It feels great knowing where to bring your car to when accident happens. I was very pleased with the outcome the second time. Jared was my service advisor and he was THE BEST. He was very knowledgeable and he listened to all of my concerns. Working with Jared, I can tell that he goes above and beyond to make his customers satisfied. I am very happy with the service I received. I am thankful I found this place. I had been rear ended and the other insurance company was battling with me about OEM replacement parts. Rather than put all the stress on me, Erik at Bel-Red assured me he would take care of it. He coordinated the entire repair and fought with the insurance company to ensure that OEM parts were used in the replacement. On top of that there was hidden damage that required extra time, back and forth with the insurance. Erik kept in communication with me the whole time and they did a great job. They charged me way more than my other estimates, which I was fine with because I wanted the best work done on my brand new mercedes that has been hit. This, however, was NOT it!!! They initially said two weeks, well after two weeks they said two more weeks. Then I'd call again and one more week. Oh it'll be done on Friday. Oh it's going to be another week. It took them TWO MONTHS to fix a two week project. I was leaving the state and had to postpone my move! Not only that but they didn't even do a great job. The paint was subpar, they replaced a door that now leaks air and wasn't mounted properly so I have trouble opening and closing it, they forgot to fix where my headrests deployed, they left dust in my instrument cluster...etcetcetc omg what a nightmare!!! After I picked up my car, they wouldn't return my calls when I called to complain. They'd always be "busy", according to the receptionist, and mysteriously NEVER call back. Even though he flat out told me he forgot about my car while it was in there (I appreciated that blunt honesty) and it sat unattended to for a couple of days, he didn't return calls requesting an update, he didn't proactively communicate the status of my repair and certainly didn't treat me anything like a valued customer. The work was so-so and way behind schedule. If you absolutely have to go here, ask for Linda. If she is not available and you have to deal with Erik, make sure you get everything in writing. I originally had high hopes about this location, I was SORELY shown otherwise. I spoke to their operator and was told to come on Saturday to have my car checked and could show up any time between 10 and 2, which I did no one was there. Made multiple phone calls to their emergency line, and after an hour of waiting a ERIC showed up. I was told he was there for an appointment and was told to wait. My friend spoke to him and explained our situation at that point we were told to take our business else where. Which we did if you want to be treated with respect and as a person go to Bellevue Auto rebuild which is next door. If not and like to be treated as less then a person go there. Great job, wonderful service, great overall experience. I took my car in to bel-red auto rebuild because my insurance agent referred them, I am so glad. My car had a smashed bumper, it was only in there for 3 days, and when I picked it up it looked like new!!
