I am so happy to have had the opportunity to eat Bella Italia pizza today. It was the best pizza I have had in the 4 years I have been living in the Front Range. We have eaten pizza from Trinidad to Denver. There is a spot in Pueblo that comes in second. ALTHOUGH, THIS pizza has the FLAVOR PROFILE DOWN. The perfectly thin, (no bitter burned spots) the crust, sauce, cheese, black olives, beautiful fresh fully sliced tomatoes and pepperoni made it difficult to stop eating. My husbands homemade italian sausage pizza had the perfume of fennel and was perfectly sliced and practically paving the surface of his pizza. It was delish as well. The owner was so kind he brought our drinks to the car while we waited for our lunch. Then the cannoli was brought out. The dessert list is longer than the pizza menu. I cannot believe how blown away I am by this place! I've ordered delivery from them, but this was my first time dining in and wow...just wow! It seems like it's just gonna be cool pizzeria, but they have dishes and service that you get in fancy restaurants! We received incredible service from the waiter/cashier and I haven't even gotten to the food!! I usually order the Calzone for delivery and it's always absolutely delicious, but I opted for the sausage parmesan sandwich and I about fell off my chair, IT'S THAT DAMN GOOD! They use their own house-made sausage and it was sliced thinly and perfectly piled on with the peppers and loads of gooey cheese and then the bread was toasted to perfection and held together exquisitely! GREAT little place. It has a limited amount of interior seating but the server was super friendly. People were going in and out pretty constantly for delivery and pick up. We were both very happy with our food. You can tell the people who work here really care about making both the food and experience great. I have drove by this place many times after living in the area for almost 6 years, I've decided to try it today with my lady. It is a small place but don't let it fool you. The staff was super nice and friendly when we were greeted upon walking in, we got a chance to chat with the one of the owners and he was recommending the pizza. We shared the meat lovers pizza, all I can say was wow! The crust and pizza were perfectly cooked with the toppings. It didn't fall apart and the flavor was on point. We decided to then have the lobster tails for dessert as well, those were by far the best pastry I've ever had in Denver to be honest. I was just driving around not familiar with the area, and happened by Bella Italia. In a quaint location, still in the growing phase aesthetically, but the customer service and quality are second to none. A true Italian FAMILY BUSINESS. Anyone who says a simple caprice with freshest of moserella and the best Garlic Knots with a glass if wine can't mend your soul has never tried Bella Italia! My husband and I used to get pizza at this place when it was Papaos (?) We loved it. Then, when it became Bella Italia we ordered pizza and entrees. We enjoyed everything we ordered. We didn't think about going here when we wanted to go out for Italian because it was very fast casual with more of a fast food ambiance. A couple weeks ago we ended up eating here and we were glad we did. The sauce is flavorful and not too acidy/chunky/strong. I could eat the sauce as soup! And, the pasta was perfectly cooked. My husband and I loved our pasta but were so uncomfortable in the restaurant we probably would only do take out. It was chilly outside when we were there and every time the door opened we were freezing. We wore our coats the whole time which is not very relaxing. The furnishings have been upgraded and the place is small, but it isn't intimate or cozy or anything. Don't discount Bella Italia when you pull in to find it in a mini strip-mall. It's a gem. We visited late on a weekend evening and all of the tables remained full during our visit with numerous walk ins for carry out and delivery. It's a quaint space with several regular and several bar tables, a small market area along one wall and a pastry case. There was one waiter working that evening and he managed his time well between tables, the kitchen and all of the doordashers. Is there a little Italian grandma cooking in the kitchen? Because that is what the food tasted like! This is authentic! The rice balls were a great appetizer. We also shared the Fettuccine Frutti di Mare and the Baked Ziti. Plenty of seafood in the Frutti di Mare. The baked Ziti (pasta was just penne) was good, as well. You do not get bread or salad with your entree, so keep that in mind when placing your order. However the entree portion sizes were so generous we didn't feel that the meal was lacking. We passed on dessert even though the pastry case was filled with tempting treats, we were just too stuffed. Definitely recommend a stop in if you ever have the chance. Pricing was no more or less than other eateries in the area serving similar fare. Come hungry! read more

Went in for the first time on a Thursday night during the pandemic. There were no customers in the building so we were a little hesitant to stick around because we didn't want to hold them up if they wanted to close. I'm glad we stayed, the service was great- very attentive and obviously very concerned about covid safety precautions. Made us feel very welcome and made it clear they valued guests in the house. We got the baked wings as an appetizer (fantastic flavor, very tender), and the chef heard us telling our server that it was our first time so he made us some garlic knots (also excellent) as a welcome gesture. Totally unnecessary of them, but very appreciated! Ordered a meat lovers pizza and was not disappointed Nice crisp on the bottom from the deck oven, light sauce, great flavors from the toppings and tender crust. Wine and beer selection could be a little more diverse, only a couple wines available which we were talked out of (appreciate the honesty!) and settled on peroni. Our family (grandparents, us and teens/tweens) loved every bite!
