Really good pizza for an Italian restaurant. Slice of pizza is big, so it is worth the $6 a slice. Lasagna was on point although I would have liked more ricotta cheese in it. Maybe this is more of a Bolognese lasagna than traditional?? Marinara sauce is good. Was going to get the rice balls but didn't want to pay $13 for it. I think meat sauce should be on the side not filled in the rice ball...just my preference. Food was a little on the pricey side, but it was worth it for the quality of the food. I ordered the chicken parm sandwich for lunch the other day and was amazed at how huge it was! Two chicken cutlets and so much cheese, the sauce was great and the bread was perfect, it held the sandwich together well and wasn't too dry or crumbly like most other places. I called almost when the restaurant opened and was quickly greeted by a pleasant gentleman. I asked for a delivery time for about 5 pizzas. He quickly quoted me an hour. I was pleased with the time frame and placed my order for 5, 1 topping pizzas. Exactly 1 hour later I got a call from the delivery driver. Pizza were amazing. Hot and they tasted amazing. This place is adorable and intimate though small. It's a family owned restaurant that offers dine in as well as delivery. I had the shrimp with garlic pasta which was delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the shrimp was complimented wonderfully by the fabulous garlic sauce. The service as the best and everyone that worked there was incredibly nice. This place was special. There were eight of us for dinner. The service (Brian) was attentive and super friendly. Everything I had from the garlic balls to the dinner salad to my eggplant parmigiana was perfect. Don't judge this place by the location. Undersrand that keeping hot dishes in an enclosed vessel can contribute to water from condensation, but this was a lot. Flavor was good and portion was large. Wow. This visit was the worst compared to my first visit a couple years ago. I can not recommend this restaurant to anyone! The food was not cooked correctly but that wasn't the real issue, the lady Elizabeth that was serving me and in the kitchen was holding her baby while in the kitchen which I am like ok. I know the other toddlers were in the dining area (and they were last time also which I love kids so I am like fine. I assume the grandfather was the one watching them ). But the then I realized she had been holding/changing the baby I am sure during the day And had not went to bathroom to wash her hands because I had went into the bathroom to wash my hands before eating . Then she plated my food and brought out. It was not to temperature so I am like I can't eat it I stopped said I couldn't eat it it was bad but of course she charged me for everything so that was the only thing they were concerned about. So when I went back to the counter to ask them that they shouldn't have the baby on the food prep area and all the food was on the table with the bouncing baby holder. It was not clean or sanitary and all they wanted to do was to argue with me And that I could leave because they didn't care about food handling. The health department needs to do whatever kind of inspection of this restaurant and correct these extreme violations before someone gets sick or dies. I can say without any hesitation that the quality of this place far exceeds what I expected from a small Italian restaurant. The food was top notch. Worthy of awards. We had the chicken piccata and the calzone. The piccata was well cooked and topped with a wonderful artichoke and lemon caper sauce. Incredibly flavorful marinara sauce and a delicious wine sauce clam and shrimp fettuccine. I have tried a lot of local Italian restaurants and only review the ones that I love( I'm here spreading the love no the disappointments lol unless it raises a health concern). My point is I can honestly say it's one of my favorite places for these two pasta dishes, they also have the best almond paste cookies ( homemade) super chewy.It's not homemade pasta but the sauces are so good. We ordered the caprese, tri-colored cheese tortellini, and stuffed cheese shells. $71 later and it was one of the worst meals I've ever had. I'm pretty sure everything was made from Costco ingredients. A couple came in and sat at a table near us and because the food was so bad I had to ask if they had eaten here before. They said no, so I told them they should've eat here. First time visitors and we loved our experience. Make sure if you dine in, you are in no hurry. Its a small operation and they have a busy line for takeout. There is limited seating inside and 1 server, who does everything from answering the phone, packing to go orders and serving the dining room. We ate so much food and are looking forward to going back. Order any of the choices with the homemade sauce! I don't know what is in it or how its made, but it is one of the best sauces I've ever had. The Ravioli tostati was cheesy filled and crispy on the outside. In town for business and was told by several people to check out this place if I had a hunger for Italian food. I was absolutely not let down. The marinara and sausage are made on location by two of the owners from Sicily. The third owner was our server and was an absolute delight. For appetizers, we ordered mozzarella sticks and calamari and absolutely delicious. For my entrée, I chose the stuffed pasta and it was incredible. They are rather large portions so you can get 2 to 3 meals out of one entrée. For dessert I chose the strawberry swirl cheesecake and it was amazing. Got takeout from here about a week ago -- pizza and spaghetti bolognese (meat sauce). I grew up back east and have eaten at a lot of good Italian restaurants. We had family in from out of town and decided we wanted some Italian for dinner, A quick Yelp search and Bella Italia came up. On our way, we ran into a neighbor who gave the place high marks, so we were looking forward to the trip and it didn't disappoint. They accommodated a group of seven at the last minute, in what I have to say is a pretty small area. The owner came over to chat for a while, tell us about the place. Then food started. The garlic knots were great, soaked in butter and garlic. The bruschetta was fresh and flavorful. We ordered a couple of 12" pizzas, a couple pasta plates, and a calzone. There were no losers in the group. I got the Porcellina calzone; I'm a big guy and I still took most of it home. The pizzas were great. I hear that the pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce was great. And it's less than a mile from the office? And they do pizza by the slice? I'm not impressed with the quantity of the food especially when it is just pasta with herbs, garlic and oil and they charge $24.00 for it. The tin was half full and had room to accommodate more pasta but they went cheap for the $24. It was a Noodles & Company half order size! Then a 12-inch veggie pizza is priced at $24.99 which again gouges the customer for dough, sauce and a few veggies. This was the first time ordering for me from this restaurant but it is the last and thankfully I now know it's not worth the prices and I will not be spending my money for their food again. Last but not least, it took the entire 30-minute window plus an additional 45-minutes which totals 1-hour and 15-minutes for GrubHub to deliver when even during heavy traffic the restaurant is at most 20 minutes away from the delivery address. Yelp has partnered with GrubHub for delivery but when things go wrong there's no way for GrubHub to credit back the Yelp customer. I left GrubHub long ago because of too many issues and problems with delivery and now it looks like I'll be cancelling Yelp too. 3 stars because I got food and ate. read more

I was in the area for an appointment and stopped in around lunch time and ordered to go. I was the only customer there. I got their special: calzone with sausage, peppers, and onions. I had to wait about 20 or 30 minutes to get my food. It smelled good and the presentation was great. However, there was a very very scant amount of cheese and sausage and it was stuffed to the brim with onion and green pepper. Like excessive. Like they were about to throw it out because it was going bad and they put it all in my calzone instead of the trash. The idea was to take it home for dinner after work and split it with my middle school aged son. He wouldn't touch it. It seems like he is a bottomless pit so that is saying a lot. The flavors were out of balance is putting it nicely. It was so gross I couldn't get past a few bites. I paid over $25 for this one dish and expected way more as far as quality and flavor. I don't have the means to eat out much so when I do I want it to be a special treat. This made me want to vomit. I don't usually rate things, and I am not the pickiest eater, but I am really bummed at how I wasted my money. 1st time customer and I will never return. read more

Visiting Denver area, I planned a dinner with a former colleague and her family, which includes 3 kids all under 10 years old. Pizza was a natural choice. Bella Italia is located in a rather unassuming strip mall which frankly I would have totally passed, but glad for the intervention of the GOP (Gods of Pizza).
