Homemade pastas everyday! Yes every pasta dish is home made pasta! Fresh home made bread also! I had Chicken Alfredo with linguine , delicious! So light and fresh! Service was good. They were a little busy when we first arrived so we waited about 3-5 minutes at the bar but we're greeted right away! It's a small venue, maybe 6 seats at the bar. this authentic Italian restaurant is one of the best I have had. The homemade pasta is amazing as expected when you have pasta that is made in the house daily. The sauces were absolutely slammed with flavor. The "veal marsala" that I ordered was perfectly portioned cooked perfectly and every bite was absolutely delicious. That homemade fettuccini was exactly what I was hoping for! cooked al dente and tastes so fresh. My wife ordered a vegan option though shes not vegan just felt like trying a low carb option. "butternut squash pasta" wow. what a tasty dish! Dishes like this let you know you have a real chef back there in the kitchen instead of someone who just cooks. vegetables were cooked perfectly, The seasonings paired with the black truffle oil and topped off with roasted pumpkin seeds, made this dish a very pleasant surprise. Didnt just taste like a pile of fresh veggies. So many complex and delicious flavors made this restaurant a new addition to our "Top 3" local resturaunts, and it beats out any Itallian food Ive had in the South. My wife and I both ordered the "Sicilian Sunset" drinks that were super tastey as well! my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this hidden Gem located in the sawmill plaza. We almost didnt write a review because we didn't want it to get too busy, however, a resturaunt this good needs to be shared with the world! I cannot wait to go back! Everything was fresh and soooo good! Husband and I celebrated our anniversary by going to dinner here after hearing such great things. We got the fried mozzarella to start along with 2 drinks (one was a tiramisu martini. Highly recommend!). The mozzarella was so fresh and gooey = perfect. The entrees were great size. I got the shrimp Alfredo and it was the best Alfredo I've ever eaten in my life! No exaggeration. We then got the almond cheesecake for dessert. It was moist and a very good sized slice. You walk out of there spending a good penny, but it is WORTH IT! I hear the menu rotates depending on what is in season. I cannot wait to go back and try something new, or even the shrimp Alfredo again! read more

I've been wanting to try this newer, upscale option in Richmond Hill. Went with a party of 4. The decor was upscale and looked like a cozy atmosphere. The server was pleasant. It was surprisingly loud for a small restaurant (around 80 dB on my app), but it was a busy Saturday night. The Cesar salad was fine, if a little overdressed and light on parm and garlic. I ordered the ahi tuna catch of the day. It was described as being served with pesto and potatoes. I didn't realize it had tomato sauce on it or would not have ordered it; just a personal preference for that flavor combination. It was served over pesto, with potatoes, more tomatoes, olives, and capers. The tuna was pretty rare (fine by me). Unfortunately, the whole dish was incredibly salty, especially the sides, to the point of obliterating everything on the plate. Neither my husband nor me could stomach it. I ate the tuna with a squeeze of lemon, but asked for new garnish. The next sides came out completely unsalted, so I guess I pissed off the chef. My fellow diners ate filet mignon with risotto, and seafood ravioli in a cream sauce. They were all delicious. The ravioli dish was huge, and the sauce had a nice balance of lemon. Fresh bread was served with the main meal. Overall, I will return, just at a less busy time and I'll ask for a corner booth. I will stick with the main menu next time. read more

Great place and atmosphere, we had a great time. Couple of points we did notice that if addressed would make this a 5 star experience :- refresh your cutlery between courses, you are charging people average of $11 for an appetizer and $30 for a main course, the least you could do is provide a fresh set of knives and forks between course, this is what equivalent level restaurants do, no one wants to lick their cutlery clean for the next course.... I appreciate you are a small business, but you need to get your servers to attend to the tables a bit closer, in the entire time we were sat eating not once did anyone ask us if we wanted more drinks (alcohol), you are missing out on extra money here! We would have happily bought more drinks if we had been asked. All restaurants make their money on drinks more than food, you need your servers to push a little harder and your business will thrive! Tables so small we couldn't fit our plates. We made a reservation requesting specifically to not sit by the front door because this happened to us before and we froze during dinner. We were seated right next to the front door yet again. Had to eat with our coats on. We were refused when requesting a change. At best this is a mediocre restaurant trying to make itself a high end place. I've never been in a decent Italian restaurant where they didn't put bread on the table. It was brought with the meal. I guess they're afraid you may ask for seconds. Not nearly worth the price. Food was ok...rude hurried service. read more

Bella Mia was one of the best Italian meals I've ever had. I had the mushroom risotto and filet mignon. Best risotto ever with fresh mushrooms and the filet melts in your mouth. We finished it off with Limoncello Creme Brûlée again delicious!!! We will go out of our way to stop here to eat. Absolutely delicious. A must visit you won't be disappointed. read more

We researched this restaurant with mixed reviews. Small servings with higher prices We are gathering. Unfortunately it states 18 and over only for Dine in. My wife and I enjoy quality wine and ambiance but we will have to wait 12 years for this experience. We get it but our kids are used to fine dining. I was so excited to eat here. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi. The quality was amazing. Great flavor, but I literally only got 5 shrimp and 8 fettuccini noodles for $29!!! I was starving! I asked the waitress for more pasta and told her I was disappointed at how small the portion was. She didn't even apologize and brought me about 12 more noodles for 8! Seriously?!!! So if you go here, don't order anything seafood. You'll starve. read more

Loved first dinner, fab veal shop & fettuccine. Went for my birthday with out of town friends after I chatted up how good the food was. Very small selection but was really looking forward to Carbonara pasta...ordered Caeser Salad. I have dined at fine dining restaurants all of my life, I have NEVER been served Caeser Salad using stale limp spring mix, not romaine which it should be served on (no description of spring greens on menu) they could not even bother to use shaved parm, only grated on top, it was trash. Next the "Carbonara" which bore NO resemblance to the real thing. Campanella noodles instead of a spaghetti or linguine noodle, the noodles were way too heavy for the dish, but the worst sin was it was a basic alfredo sauce, NOT EGGS AND PECORINO. The menu did not disclose the noodle type or that sauce was unrelated to true Carbonara, which I love. Can't even tell you how disappointed and disgusted I was. If you are not going to serve dishes fixed the way they are supposed to be, either don't name them something they are not, or fully describe on the menu so a diner will know they are NOT getting what they expect. For a place that prides itself on its food, this was a total fail and complete disappointment. I ate about 3 bites took the rest home for my out of town friends, but ultimately it went in the garbage. You have your employees dressed in black T-shirts and jeans, which I feel is a total put off. The hostess was very rude. My husband and I were having a date night and came expecting to have a nice, pleasant evening. Upon arrival, she asked if we had a reservation and we said no. After a few moments, she added our name to the list and we were informed that our table would be ready at 8:15. We returned to our car and left to run an errand. Once we returned, we noticed the hostess whispering to her co-worker, which we brushed off. We approached the hostess stand about 8:12 only to be told that the "kitchen was closing" and they would not be able to serve us. As you can imagine, we're upset because we waited and also because we witness other couples STILL going inside to be seated/served. I told the hostess that I felt it was a race issue and her response was "oh GIRL bye" which I found to be very offensive. So I replied back to her in a not so pleasant way. I left a review of my experience on their Facebook page and someone replied back saying that we "reeked of marijuana" and were "low classed" (further more proving my point by racially profiling us). Neither my husband nor myself do any type of drugs. This behavior was very disrespectful. My character was attacked on social media for anyone to see all because I left a review that the hostess was rude! I'll never return not recommend this place of business to anyone. Definitely bad customer service and whoever replied to me enabled this behavior. Hostesses are the first impression of your business. We felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome. read more

The chicken piccata was so fresh and delicious. You can tell the pasta was homemade. It wasn't too big you get one chicken breast which was perfect. I loved the low lighting. It was comfortable and not overcrowded. Pricing is fair. I will definitely go back. read more

My husband and I celebrated our closing of our home by going to Bella Mia's restaurant for dinner. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Last night we went back for dinner and it was terrible!! From the beginning we were rushed from our waiter. He took our orders and two things that we wanted from the menu they didn't have, that was disappointment 1. We gave our order for drinks and appetizers, the waiter stood there waiting , my husband said give us a few minutes for our dinner orders. The waiter said no he couldn't because we are on a time limit. That was disappointment 2. The waiter comes back with our appetizer without getting our drinks. My husband asked for the bread basket the waiter said he will bring it out with our dinner. Our dinner comes out and my husbands food was terrible. He ordered veal Marcella that did not taste like Marcella. We spent $103.00 at this restaurant, we will not be eating there again . So disappointing. read more

Last evening my husband and I decided after a long day to try out Bella Mia as we had heard nice things about the restaurant. We arrived at 6:45PM and proceeded to walk into the restaurant. To our absolute shock the so-called hostess rushed up to us from the left side of the door and said abruptly, "you can't be in here, go outside"!! WHAT??? Well, first of all from initial appearances we were probably over dressed for this place! We were speechless. She made sure we walked outside and asked if we had reservations. We said NO and this was to be our first time there. She stated that reservations were preferred. We can understand that. However, it still remains that she was rude to us in her speech and manner. There was absolutely nothing professional about her! A bad first impression of your restaurant. So, we proceeded onto another restaurant in town where the service and food were outstanding! And, that too, was out first time and we will return many times over!! Perhaps Bella Mia has delicious cuisine, but due to our first experience with the hostess and being treated less than decent, rest assured there won't be a second one.
