I can't believe this place has good reviews. The inside is really tacky and gross, and the atmosphere was all over all really cheap. The waitress was really touchy, and I totally understand that's a cultural thing, but I had to explicitly tell her to stop touching me, which is difficult to do politely. She was kind of rude to me after that. The sangria was DISGUSTING. I don't even know how that could be done because it wasn't like it was too fruity or not all fruity, it was just nasty. I was there for over 30 minutes before someone took my order. I had to explicitly ask them if I could order. It took another 35-40 to get the food, which was alright but not great. This may just be a difference of opinion and preferences; but this was awful for me. 0/10 read more

Having eaten Italian food since before I could walk or talk, I've come to a point in life when I can quickly judge good Italian food. It must be tasty, satisfying, & show the cook's love of food. If somebody is just going through the motions, I have no patience. So, I really enjoyed an early Sunday supper of chicken parm and SO's capellini with meat sauce was a hit. Generous portions disappeared quickly, before we knew it. Bread was fresh and warm. Even the chairs were comfortable. Only thing missing was the requisite Sinatra or Martin softly in the background. I have purchased a coupon on Groupon for $60. The coupon consisted of 2 appetizers, 4 entrees, and 2 desserts. So, I went yesterday with my two daughters. The waiter took our drink order. I ordered a coke, my youngest daughter said, "I'll have the same." He didn't respond, he just gave her a rude look. So, I assumed he didn't hear her. I said, " he didn't hear you hunny." She said I'll have the same. He still didn't respond. So, I said that she will have the same as me, a coke. After I said that he acknowledged me and said coke. However, he came back to the table and gave her a Sprite. So, I had to had to ask to replace the Sprite with a Coke. He didn't bring straws. So, when he took our appetizer order, I asked for a straw. He still didn't bring the straws. I asked 3 times and he said, "just one straw?" I said, "girls would you guys like a straw?" They said yes, so I said 3 straws. The tea that my other daughter ordered was not sweet so she asked for sugar and that seemed to annoy him. The lady at the table next to us told him,"excuse me?" He said," I will be back." She said, "but I don't understand" He said I will be back. She said, but what do you mean?" He said, I will be back and he walked back into the kitchen. So, she looked at me and said, "He told me that there is an extra charge. I don't understand what's the extra charge. Then, she asked,"Is it me?" I said, "no, it's not you." I realized that she asked that because she felt he was being rude for not answering her question while he was at her table. She was there with her date. I noticed that he was rude to that couple and to my daughters and I. We were the only African Americans sitting outside and he was very rude to us. So, I watched how he interacted with the other customers, and he was very nice and polite with the other customers. So, when he took our order my youngest daughter pointed to the picture of the pasta dish that she wanted. I pointed to my 14 year old and said that she would have a small cheese pizza. He said, "a kids pizza" and wrote on his pad. (There's a cheese pizza on the kids menu and a cheese pizza on the adult menu.) So, I pointed to the cheese pizza on the adult menu and I said, she would like this small cheese pizza. He said, a kids pizza. So, I said I will have a small pizza with pepperoni and sausage, and a pasta with shrimp to go. When, he was bringing our food he said with a rude tone of voice, "can you make some space so I can bring the entrees? (The table was really small and the 2 appetizers, 3 bottles of water, 3 cups, 3 small plates took up all of the space. So, I told him that we were finished with the appetizers. Finally, the bill came. The receipt had everything that we ordered. It said total $41. It also said plus 21 tip. (He also handwritten plus $21 tip. ) I asked him do you write what the tip should be on everyone's check or did you just write it on my check? He said that it's store policy that everyone pays 18% tip and he writes that on everyone's check. So, I said will I had to ask instead of assuming because I was feeling like I was being discriminated against when you handwritten the tip. So, my total bill was $62. (Mind you that I already paid $60 for the coupon which should have covered everything except for the 3 beverages) so, my total bill including the coupon was $122. I definitely feel like I was overcharged and treated very rude! read more

Great service, great pizza, great people. I've never had any issues with the food here and it's been mainly pick up or delivered via Uber eats. Would highly recommend this place if you want some decent pizza compared to numerous other places. Despite all the negative reviews, I was really pleased with the food. We were served a complementary salad and bread to start with and then had calamari as an appetizer. It was crispy and quite hot when we got it! Very delicious. Both me and my boyfriend had specials, which included homemade lasagna and salmon with mango salsa over pasta. The lasagna was plentiful in sauces, cheese and meat. Was a hefty portion too. The salmon was delicious! I was disappointed with the pasta though. It had minimal sauce and looked watered down but luckily the salmon had plenty of flavor to carry over. The portion of salmon was huge but very little pasta. But I'm not complaining. For desert we had tiramisu and it was yummy! My only reason for not 5 stars is because of how slow the service was. However, it was a Friday night and was quite busy. Just drove 20 minutes each way to pick up our first pizza from La Bella Napoli in Torrance. We had heard it was good and we needed a break from the monotony of being stuck at home day after day. The food wasn't great, but the drinks and the amazing service our waiter, Jorge, made all the difference. We had the salmon on mango salad and a canneries marinara sauce. The salmon was good, but it could have been better seasoned and topped with a more elaborate mango sauce. A reduced white wine sauce with a better cooked mango would have been a better topping in my opinion. The sauce wasn't bad, but seemed like diced mango and tomato cooked on water and salt. The gamberi marinara pasta wasn't that great either, but the price wasn't bad, so I guess we got what we paid for. Overall, I would say: good ambiance, great service by Jorge and decent food. The patio outside is spread out very well and wiped down frequently and very COVID-safe. The food was honestly better than Italian food that I have had in all three "Little Italy" communities that I have been to - Chicago, New York and Baltimore. This place beats all of them and I mean it. :) I had the Frutti De' Mare (Fruit of the Sea - seafood pasta), with their HOMEMADE SAUCE (deeelicious) and muscles, scallops, calamari, crab and salmon - it was a giant portion. I had to take half home. Even without groupon, this meal would have only been $20. My husband had chicken picatta, which he said was the best he has had. :) While we encourage trying things on Groupon, we also say please give a generous tip b/c this business is trying it's best to stay alive in these times. I bought a Groupon for this place. Like others mentioned, the offer was for a shared appetizer, 2 entrees and a dessert. My family stopped by for dinner on a Monday evening which was perfect since we didn't need to make a reservation as stated on the Groupon. Upon our arrival, there was one other table at the restaurant. There was one waiter working and we were greeted and seated promptly by him. I told him about the Groupon and asked him about what we were allowed to order on the menu with the Groupon as some time I find that restaurants would set the limitation. He told me that we could order anything off the menu. We ordered the following items: 1. House Salad 2. Pasta with Mussels in white wine and garlic 3. Lasagne with meatballs 4. Kid-size cheese pizza 5. Cheesecake We enjoyed our dinner as I especially like the mussels. I thought the dish was very light with a bit of spice and lots of garlic. I agree that others might find it bland, but I didn't feel like I was on a carb overload afterward. My son ate his entire pizza which was quite big for a kid size (10 inches). I think he is getting to that point where he'll eat a lot of food. The cheesecake added a nice touch to the end of the meal. It was not dense like the Cheesecake Factory's version of the vanilla cheesecake. I think the texture is more like a custard and it was not too sweet. The service that we received was good. I expected prosciutto, but got dry ham slices covered in dry herbs in a bed of tasteless tomatoes, iceberg lettuce, and oil. The Lasagna presentation was aweful. It was served in a styrofoam box and looked like corner scraps covered in sauce-again flavorless. Also ordered the Margarita pizza and asked for prosciutto and olives to be added-they were not. The pizza dough had zero flavor, absolutely no salt. They tomatoes gave the pizza a watery flavor. In the end, I was able to re-season/salvage everything and avoid tossing it. read more

We had visited when the restaurant was under prior management as Sapore D'Italia, and had an OK, but lackluster, experience then. Since they had re-launched as Bella Napoli and were sporting a few good reviews, we wanted to come back and give them a try. Unfortunately I have to disagree with the couple of other reviewers claiming to vouch as judges of quality Italian food, as this place does not have it. Our appetizer was a cold antipasto plate with salami, prosciutto, and fresh tomatoes with mozzarella. Nothing on the plate was fresh. The prosciutto was visibly dried out as if it had been sliced hours or days prior and stored in the fridge without being sealed in anything, leaving it with a leathery texture and slightly gamey flavor. The mozzarella slices also appeared dry as if they had been sliced in advance. The tomatoes were nowhere close to ripe; they were pale and flavorless with hard, crunchy flesh. My wife had the house-made lobster ravioli in "pink" sauce. The sauce was familiar, but not in a good way, tasting a bit like condensed tomato soup or the sauce from a can of Spaghetti-O's. Very runny/soupy, not much cream, bland, and tasted of processed ingredients. The pasta for ravioli was very thick with a gummy texture, and the filling left much to be desired, tasting of overly sweetened marscarpone with little seasoning or depth; although they had a decent amount of shredded lobster in the filling, its flavor was lost. I ordered a pesto penne dish with shrimp, and it was brought out luke-warm and missing its shrimp. After letting the waiter know, the shrimp were brought out a few minutes later for me to add to my now room-temp pasta (which was actually ziti rather than penne). The pesto was not great. It appeared to be made with fresh basil, nice and brightly green, but it had almost no Parmesan in it, leading to a bland flavor and oily texture... basically just fresh basil pureed into oil (I'm not sure it was EVOO or even olive oil... the oil brought out with our bread didn't seemed to be some kind of cheaper vegetable oil). The tiramisu we had for desert was actually fantastic. Highlight of the meal. The servers and staff were very friendly and approachable, but were struggling to take care of everything. Despite having only a few tables occupied in an already small restaurant, with two servers and a hostess present, we watched the couple next to us wait 15 minutes to have their order taken after being sat, at which time the hostess returned and asked if they were ready to order, (curiously) taking their menus away then, and saying that a server will be back in a moment to take their orders. There were a couple occasions where we had to ask twice for something after realizing that we had been forgotten. read more

This was very disappointing. The mussels app tasted like the smell of seafood. It wasn't even good to dip the bread in. The bread basket was terrible too (wheat sunflower bread in a Italian restaurant?) The entrees would have been 10x better if I made them at home. The Alfredo was watery and needed basically everything. It was also a small portion. The chicken franchise was just ok but the noodles were in a pool of butter.
